This is the second time that we have bought an appliance from Lowe's and they refused to install it due to code issues. This time, it was a stove, with a shut off valve directly under it in the basement, but that's not good enough. Worse, they HIRE ILLEGALS to install it. Two illegals showed up, barely speaking any English. Bet they weren't worried about codes in whatever third world crap hole Lowe's duge them out of. So I called ICE and tipped them off. Came to purchase a riding lawnmower. 1. Had to look for someone 2. Gave me delivery date 3. Date of delivery - nothing came and no notice delivery date changed. Called store and was told they only Email changes in delivery date and they did not have my email on file. Really? Interesting since I gave my email right there when I purchased the mower. 4. Was told delivery date changed because they only assemble on Fridays. Interesting since I bought it on a Monday and was given the following Thursday for delivery. 5. Contract shipping delivered product and that is ALL they do. No questions. Packet with all the product info, warranty etc was attached to mower and was totally soaked with water. Had to dry out. Executive Customer service was very nice and gave a $50.00 gift card for my trouble. I had to leave for out of town wedding so did not get to inspect in detail. When I did I found several dents. in the rear of the mower and chipped paint so now I am wondering did they sell me a returned item? Did someone hit the back of it or did someone back into something with it. Very very disappointed. Will now be worth it to go to Home Depot in a nearby city to get major purchases. I am new to the area and this is my local and go-to hardware store. I have had some days where the check out process or guest service process is lengthy, but, overall the demeanor from the employees has been extremely kind and helpful, and I have found that a little patience (especially during these Covid-y Home Improvement Days) goes a long way. The store is laid out well with a big garden center and the paint desk located near the front. There is a spacious parking lot and getting in and out is easy. I have been lucky to work with some really kind folks in the paint department that provided great information and a friendly disposition, especially Gary, who was very nice. I also have had to get some management assistance with a couple large orders I have placed, and have had beyond excellent customer service all around, but, specifically from Stephanie. She assisted me with a large order of blinds and informed me of their install service that they provide. I normally do not opt for the these services, but in this case, I did. And I am SO happy that it was recommended to me. Their technician, Josh, did an amazing job and was a pleasure to work with! I am very pleased with the service and product I have received from this Lowe's. The worst customer service you can imagine. They delay my shipment for a month, and drop it off broken when it's finally delivered. For 2 weeks we've been trying to get them to resolve the issue- saying they'd return our calls but really just ignore us. $600 purchase. Then they try to say that it's now past the 30 days. 1 - how? It was delivered 9/1. 2- we have been callin FOR WEEKS! If it's past any date it's a direct result of awful customer service. Since when is it my fault you delay my shipment and won't contact me about my incident reports? All we want is the adaptor fixed. It came broken. Do not buy an appliance here. they don't stand behind the products they sell. Maytag in particular, used to have a good reputation not so much anymore. we bought a fridge here about 8 months ago and it has broken twice. it takes diamond repair weeks to send someone out and then you wait until the part comes in so count on 3 weeks without a working appliance. Lowe's couldn't have cared less when I called them for a return. they won't do anything and take no responsibility for the junk they sell. overall a complete joke and a waste of money. do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. read more

I was ordering picnic tables online and this store was my fulfilling my order. Even though I paid the EXTRA $ to assemble the items I was purchasing (offered on the Lowe's website) the fulfilling store manager for this location called to say they didn't have the "man-power" to assemble for delivery. I was appalled by that response, because why would you offer a service online then have someone from the retail store say they can't do it? Also, I don't believe they offered a refund for the assembly, so you guys were just going to take my extra money regardless? It's unacceptable, because I PAID for that service, yet was still refused the service I PAID for. This just shows that this store does not follow proper corporate protocol and follows their own terms and directions. If I were the district manager, I would be worried to hire a team that just "makes their own rules", either that or hire more staff. I was luckily able to get the neighboring FRANKLIN Lowe's to fulfill the order. I work with a production company nearby and will be working on various projects throughout the year, so I'll make sure the Franklin store will get my business. read more

Pro's: Best staff in the store is in paint or appliances. The appliance delivery personnel are fantastic. Con's: Don't go to the store before 9am if you're simply looking around the store...every single turn is "do you need help?...are you ok?....can I help you with something? Listen, you wear a blue vest, if I need you I will find you...I just want to walk through the store looking at options for my next project. Two separate times I did need help locating items I dealt with elderly staff (one woman and one bald man) who spoke condescending...now I refuse their help when in the store. read more

Such a great experience here...I came unsure of colors and very indecisive yet the 3 women working in the paint dept were absolutely amazing!!! So sweet and patient and very knowledgeable. I was at the Lowes in Kenosha to buy two arborvite evergeens . Because of a bad knee with weight restrictions I could not load them up into the back of my SUV. I went to the service counter to pay for the evergreens and to also ask for help loading them into the back of my vehicle. I was told by a rude unprofessional manager that their employees could not load the arborvites into the back of my vehicle. I asked why and was told they can only load items into the back of open flatbed pickup trucks because of the Covid 19 virus. I told the manager that their employee would not be inside of my SUV. That all I needed was for them to get the pot that the evergreen was in over the top of the bumper and I could slide the rest of the evergreen into the back of the SUV, she said that did not matter that they still couldn't do it. My advice to anyone that needs help with anything getting loaded into there vehicle unless you have an open flatbed truck is that you go to another store and you probably won't experience the same problem with loading that I did today at Lowes read more

All the lumber is indoors, so you will find nicer pieces of wood with less warping. They offer online shopping where they will pick your order for you free of charge and it's guaranteed to be ready within twenty minutes, so it's aids in efficiently getting in-and-out and back to your project. My Lowe's is a free card you can sign up for that will keep track of your purchases, so you do not need to hang on to your receipts. The program also remembers paint colors you pick out, so there's no need to write numbers or brands down as it will be in the system. They also offer a price guarantee as well and will beat any other advertised price by 10%. If you're a contractor, they do have bulk pricing available on most building materials to help cut job costs. The one major downside is they do not offer tool or truck rentals. Deliveries are not cheap either, unless it's for appliances, to which they most always offer free delivery. This Lowes totally sucks! Came in for blinds to be cut. We pressed the representative call button by the cutting station and waited... and waited... and waited some more. Sick of waiting for no one, I ventured out and found someone who said "idk I'm not good at that! I'll find someone else for you!" Enter apathetic 50 something dude who shows up, says "I can't cut those, they're not the right brand" and just disappears while we grab the right brand. He finally comes back and literally says "Here's the situation. I'm off at the top of the hour. You're going to have to find someone else." We had four blinds to cut in six minutes. Are you effing kidding me? I'm not buying it. If we hadn't driven 20 minutes to get to this hell hole we would have walked out the door and Lowes could have kept their blinds. TOTAL BS read more

Don't buy appliances from Lowe's unless you plan on installing them yourselves. Long story short, their installation and delivery contractors suck! They don't give a crap about your house let alone the appliances they are delivering. I will now be on my third delivery of washer, dryer and pedestals which were all previously delivered with damages. My refrigerator was also scratched on the side when the delivery guys forced it thru the front door. Management at the store could care less. You email them the pics of damages and they rebuttal your concerns. One gentleman followed thru and he was the one who finally told me that they would have to redeliver, but again, it will be the same crappy delivery company as before. Called corporate to put in my official complaint and am waiting to hear back. Depending on the outcome, I may have them come pick up all of the appliances for a full refund and go to Costco or Best Buy to replace them. My hubby's and my water heater imploded on June 11, 2019. We decided that it needed replacing and not just repairing. So, we trek over to Lowe's to look at what they have in water heaters. After pushing the button for assistance in the water heater area, we waited for about 3 minutes and then we were greeted by someone who doesn't even work in that dept. But that person was able to find someone who does work in that dept. We start describing what our issue was and what type of water heater we needed. We had pictures to show her what we needed. We told her what size water heater we needed. She wasn't interested in seeing pictures. She brought us over to some guy in plumbing. We described our problem once again and what we more or less needed. We discussed that we needed a 4 foot (48 inch) 40 gallon water heater. We tried to show them the pictures and they didn't seem really interested in looking at the pictures at all, thinking they really knew what they were talking about (they didn't). We chatted for a good 35-40 minutes about what we needed and that we had a difficult install (small utility closet), eventually signing paperwork to have the install done with the water heater we just purchased. Long story short (too late for that, I guess), the installer didn't even call us back on Thursday, the 13th, Friday, the 14th, or Monday, the 15th, until late afternoon, despite Lowe's leaving a message or two AND us leaving a message or two. We were forced to wait until Thursday, June 20, 2019 for the scheduled install. The guy shows up on June 20, 2019, only to look at the job and REFUSE to do the work! He stated that he didn't want to mess with anything that has to do with our furnace (remember, we told Lowe's that it was a tight closet AND had pictures they weren't interested in looking at) because he didn't want to be liable for any damage. So, he walked out without installing our water heater. So, next day, we contact a REPUTABLE heating, air, and plumbing place. He takes one look at the job, asks us some questions, and quoted us a price we can afford. He told us that Lowe's is absolutely wrong when they told us we couldn't get a 48 inch, 40 gallon water heater anymore, because manufacturers don't make them (they still do). So, we got one on order, and as of the time I am writing this, we will have it installed on June 24, 2019. By the time we are done with this entire fiasco, we will have been without hot water for nearly 2 full weeks! Lowe's might be good for small stuff, like paint, buying light bulbs and the like, but forget it when it comes to appliances, such as water heaters. Our newly hired guy told us that Lowe's gets water heaters which aren't the same quality as heaters from other places. So, this is a warning to all customers...don't buy water heaters from Lowe's! We are getting a much better water heater for a decent price, with a warranty built in (Lowe's charged us extra) AND 6 years of maintenance. Yes, we are paying more, but it is so worth it, because we know it will be done right. The only good thing was that they had our refund ready by the time I went back to the store to claim it. read more

Does this store even care about customer service? We recently bought a house and believe me we will be spending lots of money in home improvement. We came into the store, grabbed 8 boxes of hardwood floor and we were unable to locate the glue that the manufacturer recommends to use with this type of flooring. We asked for help and an associate told us to go back and look around the flooring aisles, we responded that we couldn't find anything that seem right to this flooring... He answered: "well, that's where the glue is, if you can't find it then I don't know where else it could be." Turned around and left. We were shocked! We decided to look for the glue at a different store, where somebody could help us find the right product. That same trip we were looking for transition strips. We only found long ones so we asked a different associate where the shorter transition strips were located, she said: this is how it comes, you will have to cut it yourseves. We said we did not have the right tool for the job so we asked what she would recommend what tool to use for the job or maybe Lowe's could trim it for us. She turned around and began walking away towards a coworker, so we repeated the question. They both turned around and said: we won't cut it for you, we don't do that. We bought the flooring but we won't be buying anything else from them. I so wish their investor would care to send some "shoppers" to verify that customer service is below satisfactory. read more

Terrible cust. service and carpet install. 9/27/2017 installers showed up and started working. Soon they figured out the store had sent the wrong carpet. They installed portions of it, so we wouldn't walk on bare floors and told us to go to the store to re-order. After they left I noticed big scratches in closet door. I went to the store and waited 30 minutes in carpets waiting for an employee or manager. When mgr. arrived, no apology. Took them another 30 minutes to figure out their mistake. They told us they would re-order carpet. Oct 9 call from store, they had yet to re-order carpet and they had questions about the re-order. Oct 11 my wife talked to Dan at the store, who promised to call her back in two hours, still no call 5 days later. Oct. 3rd I spoke to Stephanie in Corp. customer service. She promised to email the 4th with an update. Never got a response from her. I emailed and called her Oct 12, no response. I finally got through to her on the phone today - no apology for not contacting me. Said she was busy with 32 cases... I told her to pull the partial carpet install out. read more
