Speaking as a chronic interior decorator/DIY-er, I love a good Lowe's. This one didn't disappoint. The employees were friendly and helpful, always politely asking if we needed help or willingly showing us to the right aisle. On this trip, I only looked at the lamps, curtains, and (accidentally) kitchen sets, but the selection is very reasonable. The lamps skew traditional to feminine, leaving my brother a little bit out in the cold, but he was able to find a set that worked for him. (A friendly employee also suggested that we look into Lowes.com. Thanks, friendly employee!) The curtains are, again, mostly traditional to feminine and in the middling-to-high price bracket, but I saw several sales and a few more contemporary choices. As I know nothing about kitchen sets, I'll just say that they all looked nice and were only slightly confusing. My only complaint is that, being a warehouse store, many of the lower-importance items get somewhat scuffed or dirty. All but one of the indoor garbage cans were scuffed up in one way or another, but the selection there was small and didn't seem to move much. Well now it's end of the day on the 26th and it still says it's out for delivery like it did the 25th. When talking to customer service they said it take 24 hrs to resolve and get back with me. So the lesson learned is same day is misspelled, it should be some day delivery. read more

What an odd experience, my girlfriend and I just bought a home and we went to the nearest Lowe's to get supplies and i don't know if it's the way I looked or because my girlfriend needed to go into bathroom but I had an employee check in on me like 3 separate times asking to check me out when we still were not done looking. She claimed she was bored and because of the rain she needed something to do. When were finally done and went to self check out the same lady came to the front of the store to stop us and force us to let her check her out. We get to her register and she gets on the phone so we are awkwardly standing there waiting for her to get off the phone and check us out. The wait is ridiculous. I literally just need to pick up a trailer outside that I bought YESTERDAY at noon. The staff is nice but it's just very hectic and unorganized. I called this morning and was left on hold for 22 minutes. Just very frustrating as a customer. The good is that Lowe's is a good store just severely understaffed and unorganized . Watching the employee named Michael he literally hasn't seemed to know how to help ppl coming in and out , one customer was out the door and he had to call him back to sign the receipt , he didn't know how to transfer a call so he hung up on them. The WORST customer "no" service. Can't even answer the phone. Placed someone else's $300+ order on my account with their payment information. Added the other customer's name and address to my account and changed my phone on my account to the other customer such that I couldn't access my account. Had to spend half an afternoon getting this sorted out. Very glad this is NOT the Lowe's at which I shop. Zero stars. Same day amendment to the above: After 2 phone calls (first one got hung up on after 10 minute wait, second finally answered after 10 minute wait), I spoke to the manager who expressed his appreciation for me bringing this error to his attention. This store deserves negative stars. I've placed multiple orders that say they are ready for pickup and they don't even have any items when I arrive. Today I watched the sell my order and load it into a truck right in front of me in the loading zone. A refrigerator was promised to be delivered today. The new one was severely damaged (front glass panel shattered and huge dent in it). It is not even noon but they cannot get a new one and deliver it to me today. I ordered one item for curbside pick up and after 3 hours it still wasn't ready. I called and the phone rang for over 5 minutes - I timed it. When answered all they said is I have to wait until it is ready. They only had one person working in that department. I had back surgery 12 days ago but had to go in and walk around searching for the product; lift it and put it in my cart. 23 lbs that I wasn't suppose to lift. Product is great - horrible service. This is late, but I have to give a huge shoutout to the Knightdale Lowes. I have done business with many Lowes, but I the Lowes in Knightdale, NC, is number 1 in my book. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I came in needing to get tiles for my fireplace. I met a fantastic salesperson by the name of Aparna. The tile that I came in for was on backorder. I couldn't wait because my contractor was ready to do the job in a couple of days. After speaking with Aparna, she gave me another way to design the fireplace. She saw pictures of my fireplace and felt her idea would work. I listened to her, and I liked her idea, but I had to check with my wife first. I went home to tell my wife the plan. She was interested and wanted to go back to speak with Aparna. My wife loved the plan. Aparna did a great job in upselling us. Most of the items were in stock, but one item that we needed was not. Aparna worked hard in trying to locate the piece needed and got her manager, Gwen, involved. It was late, and they asked if I could come in the next day in hopes there would be a change in the system. Aparna said she wouldn't be in, but I should speak with her husband Raj, who also works there. Raj was just as awesome as Aparna. He worked diligently in trying to get the items. Raj made it happen. They all made mine and my wife's day. The fireplace turned out even better than originally planned. I can't say enough good things about Aparna, Raj, and Gwen the manager. This rating is to high. It isn't possible to give no stars. I joined on Sunday and my experience was horrible. I am a Lowes Pro. I inquired about damaged wood. The responses from the lumber checkout associate, the associate the continued to refer to clearance faucets, and the associate that I can only conclude was a lead as he had on a camo vest were quite flustered. I am not sure if was a gender thing or a race thing. The Knightdale, NC location has a clearance policy that is quite different than the Lowes Corporate clearance policy used by the Wilmington, Durham, Cary, Apex, Raleigh, and South Boston. They keep clearance items in an employee only area, per the MOD they hold unpurchased merchandise for a specific person weekly. So regular customers can't purchase it. There was a full cart of clearance lumber in the loading area that hadn't been sold but I was told it was on hold. I was told by the MOD that corporate was aware and didn't care as long as it got sold. According to the MOD they have this much clearance wood every week for this same customer. That is more than all the locations mentioned in this reviewed combined in one week. In addition the aforementioned stores are heavily used by contractors. The same can't be said for the Knightdale, NC location. read more

I normally love Lowes but the people here are the most lazy and rude people I have ever seen work retail. I am generally pretty easygoing and empathetic to people working retail (been there) but I just can't believe that people are so terrible like they are there. Every experience has been terrible. This time, the "Fulfillment department" gave me the wrong products and told me they gave me the wrong product but didn't bother to charge me for the actual products they gave me. Then, when I called, they told me to call online services where I was on hold for 2.5 HOURS before they told me that the STORE had to fix it!!! By the time I got a hold of the store, they told me she was the one who pulled the order and she couldn't find the right products so they gave me other products instead. She said she was going to get a manager. 13 minutes later, she hangs up on me and the store is closed. read more

After looking for 10 minutes in the aisle and bin it was supposed to be in i asked for help. I was told right then that I was the third person this week that had asked for this and they were out of stock. Why did you not fix inventory, why let customers go out of their way after the first two for a product you knew you didn't have? This has become the norm of many businesses, they don't care about your time or your inconvenience. The Walmart mentality has shown them they can treat a good percentage of customers with disdain and they will still wait in line and check out their own purchases. If I could select 0 stars I would. I purchased a KitchenAide dishwasher from the Knightdale Lowes December 4, 2021. It took them 11 days to install it, but it was defective. It took over a week to get their installer back out to confirm that it was defective, but they didn't schedule a replacement. A couple weeks later my brother died so we were then out of town for another week and a half. Getting back we called again and they sent another guy out. Round and round again and this time we were told that the only way they could replace the dishwasher was if we bought a new one. Then they'd install and haul the defective one away, and THEN they'd see about refunding our money. Apparently Lowes doesn't honor ANYTHING 30 days after they've installed it! read more

Wow, the most frustrating experience I've had in a long time. I reserved a kids diy workshop kit 1 month ago and was emailed my reservation and it stated we could start picking them up today. My family and I made the drive to Knightdale with the intent, to pick up the "reserved" kits. The email stated that we must pick up by 8pm the following day. We arrived around 2pm and were told that they gave away our kits and ran out of all extras. I was so frustrated that I decided not to spend any money in the store even though we had a list of things to get. I called customer service and they said that the store manager would call me, no call. I even chatted online and was told that its up to the store to rectify. As I'm looking at recent reviews it leads me to believe this store in unorganized and has poor customer service skills. When I first moved to the area loved this Lowe's however since spring everytime you need something in the garden area it's a problem. You will get no help...plan on loading mulch yourself....if you are pregnant plan on waiting 25 mins for someone to load it. Went in looking lumber and needed help. No one was in lumber area. When we did find someone they paged 3 times for someone to get to the aisle we were on. After 10 mins of waiting found someone else and he radio for someone to come to lumber. Another 10 mins passed and no one showed up. As we were leaving we seen 4 workers standing outside talking not giving a care in the world about helping anyone. This happened at the Lowe's in Knightdale. I ordered a refrigerator July 26, 2022 and today is August 7,2022 and still don't have it. They had 5 in the store when I purchased. Paid $40 to have it delivered and to take our older one. They have changed the delivery date so many times it's unbelievable. I have been told that it is coming from the Garner Warehouse so Lowes don't get involved with their delivery. On Tuesday a Ryder truck came by our house and stopped in front of our house and then drove off. Our refrigerator was on that truck. They said no one was home so that is why they left. That is BS!! My husband I both were here. I have been captive in my own home because they cannot give me a time. Anywhere from 8 am to 8 pm. Is all that is said. They are supposed to deliver tomorrow but I will believe when I see it. It has truly been the worst thing I have ever had to deal with. Customer service is worst than worst. No one's wants to take ownership of the problem and make it right. I will never buy another appliance from there. I have heard that the Knightdale store is the worst one. I will occasionally shop @Lowes Home Improvement, but I prefer Home Depot. There is generally one within 1/2 a mile. I find their prices a bit higher than Home Depot as well. I come here way more than I should be proud of. It depends on the day you go as to what kind of staff you get. I've always had extremely nice cashiers and paint area people. It can sometimes get dicey in the very back if you want something, but for the most part-it's okay. I love the selection and the prices. I usually try to look up things before I go, because some people definitely don't know the selection, but they do try. I understand there's a metric ton of products and not everyone can memorize every little thing. They have a 10% veterans discount which is amazing! Overall, I keep going back for a reason. Amy L. Flooring Specialist in Lowes Knightdale NC took almost three weeks to complete a three room carpet quotation as requested. Over the phone she was condescending and rude when all we had asked for a a straightforward room by room breakdown quote along with a complete job quote. We were first in the store on 3/10/20 to select carpet and make an appointment for a measure. The person that did the measurements for Legacy Installers (Taylor) was great! 3/12/20) She knew we wanted the quote broken down by room, and the complete job, and put in her notes that request. When Amy called the following day, she had pricing for the complete job only (without taxes). I explained to Amy our desire to have the quote broken down, she stated she had to get with installation company and get back to us. From there it went downhill, an email with pdf. files I could not read, a couple of more phone calls with Amy and finally Wednesday April 1st she sent an detailed email with room by room quotes! Amy called again as well, and in this call was condescending, and rude. It was like we were asking her to go way out of her way to provide information she should have done weeks before. I suggest shopping a different Lowes store for your flooring needs. We did. On day one we picked out carpet and pads, a day later the measurement, the following day received a call for detailed pricing as we requested, and placed the order and picked an installation date.
