Everyone was super helpful, friendly and said hi in passing. My paint samples were done quickly and the gentleman even came down the paint supply aisles to let me know. At the checkout, I was attempting self checkout as there was no line and my baby was fussy. An associate came up and canceled my sale and personally rang me up on the head register in front of the self checkouts (so I could tend to my baby and he took care of the sale) how nice!!! I have lived in the area where this Lowe's is located all my life, and my whole overall experience at this store has been awful. Staff can never help me find anything. Staff are rude to me, I've seen staff treat my mother in a rude manner as well. Coworkers come to work after stopping by Lowe's and talk about some situation with a Lowe's employee that involved major rudeness. I know a couple employees there that I do trust do their job well and they tell me all the time of interactions with their employees that are borderline illegal (harassment from managers involving coming at their employees with box cutters if they are angry, and racial mistreatment). I never leave this store happy, I am always angry and annoyed as I leave. Take forever, even with an employee helping me, to find anything. Selling products without selling necessary accessories to make them work. I would go pretty far out of my way to not have to go here. I advise anyone else to not waste their time as well. Delivery and installation was a nightmare. I went in to buy a replacement dishwasher and the appliance department associate greeted me and asked if I had any questions. Everyone seemed very friendly and helpful. They gave me time to make my decision. I wanted Saturday installation and they said that installation for the following Saturday would be no problem. We did the paperwork and walked to the service desk to pay and arrange the installation. They entered the information and I was told that the installer would call me within 48 hours to set the infamous window of arrival. And I went on my way thinking I wouldn't have to wash dishes by hand after Saturday. I got busy at work and didn't realize that I hadn't gotten a call from the installer. Saturday rolls around and I sit and wait for the doorbell or phone to ring. Around 11:30 I call the store and was informed that the installer that was assigned to me didn't do Saturday installations. After several minutes with the associate on the computer scrolling through my paper work she found where I had asked for and been given that Saturday as the installation date. But instead of manually assigning an installer, the prior associate just let the computer pick my installer. And you guessed it, the computer assigned an installer that doesn't work on Saturdays. At this point the stores incompetence had me hot enough that you could fry an egg on my forehead. I do have to applaud the young woman that took my call that Saturday. She worked through the paperwork mess and withstood my exasperation and derision of the stores incompetence (which was considerable). She actually tried to get someone to install it that day, but couldn't. She did arrange for the installation for the following Saturday (my fingers are crossed). If it weren't for this young ladies help the store would have gotten zero stars. read more

Ok, This is the first time I have written a review but I feel it's necessary. I ordered a shower glass door with installation. A company called about a week later to schedule to come out and take measurements. They came out and told me that I would receive a call from Lowes no more than a weeks time frame. I never received a call so I called Lowes 2 weeks later and was quoted a price so I went in the store and paid for the door and installation fees. I was told someone would call me within a week but no one called so I finally contacted the company two weeks later and schedule the installation date. The installation date came and I took off from the office and received a call the morning of installation telling me that they couldn't be there today. I rescheduled for the following week and that date came and I again took off from the office and I called the guy to get an estimated time and he cancelled again. I called Lowes and they said they would take care of it and I would get a call in a few days. A week went by so I made 2 more phone calls to the Laplata Store with no help so I called the corporate office two times with no help. The third time the corporate office put me back in touch with a manager at the Laplata Store who informed me that I would get a call within 48 hours to resolve the issue. He never called back nor did anyone else. The forth call to the corporate office finally got me in touch with a vendor to install. This morning someone is measuring at my home for the door again. Hopefully after 8 or 9 calls and 2- 2 1/2 months later I still don't have my shower door but am hopeful it will be done soon. By the way, everyone I spoke to indicated they would resolve the problem immediately and it never happened. I never raised my voice until my last phone call to the corporate office but I am sure you can understand why. I am extremely disappointed but hopeful my shower door will be installed soon. read more

The absolute worst experience ever buying carpet and installation service. Poor customer service point blank. I ordered carpet and when the installers arrived they had the wrong carpet and simply left. No one from Lowe's reached out to me to explain the situation and how they were going to fix it since the error was clearly on their part. No one from Lowe's at the local store or the corporate customer service could offer a clear explanation or offered any discounts to compensate from my inconvenience. I will never ever buy anything from Lowe's ever again. I strongly recommend you avoid this location if you absolutely have to go to Lowe's. Worst experience in my life. read more

Big shout out to GEORGE in the lighting and fans department. I had to pick out several ceiling fans and not all the same. George was very accommodating and patient in helping find what I needed. His expertise on the products was very appreciated. He put all my items in my cart and was sure to tell the checker to have someone load for me. I rate this Lowe's a 1. We had them install a new heat pump with oil back up in our house back in September. We have had nothing but issues.The first problem was the thermostat was programmed wrong. Which there charged me $175 for. The second service call was a wire came loose, and the third was all the wiring was done wrong and our oil back up would not cut on because of the wrong wiring. The tech wanted to charge us over $400 for a part which was not the issue. Never showed up to the appointment. We had to keep calling to get answers. I will never use use the HVAC installation from Lowe's again. read more

I have been to Lowes in LaPlata numerous times either to buy something or to bring back something. No matter what I am in there for the employees are always helpful and usually very knowledgeable. If I ask where a certain department is the sales clerks will always not just tell you where it is but take you there. I remodeled my whole kitchen with everything mostly coming from Lowes. I had no problems except that the door was scratched badly on the inside of the dishwasher. No problem, they came and picked it up and delivered a new one to me at the same time. Their policy is no returns on custom doors. When I received my new door the delivery guys told me that the trim around the glass was messed up. They asked me if I wanted to accept it or take it back. They advised me to send it back which I did and they sent out another door with no questions asked. If I go to customer service for something they are very efficient. I have never run into any rude sales person in that Lowes. Now if I go to the Waldorf Lowes it's a whole different ballgame cause I am invisible there. No one speaks to you let alone tries to help you. You can't beat Lowes in LaPlata for a very pleasant buying experience. read more
