Came in Friday evening to buy some electrical conduit, wire, and fittings to run power from my electrical panel to a new bbq island. Some items were out of stock , so I was trying to figure an alternative solution. I pressed the help button and was greeted within 5 minutes. In the meantime I was looking for parts and material that was in stock. BEWARE!!!!! Lowe's has free carpet pad if you buy carpet with them! ITS A BIG MISTAKE, DON'T DO IT!!!! Trust someone who's already made the BIG MISTAKE.......ME!!!!!! I purchased my carpet from Lowe's and less than 12 hours YES 12 hours and my carpet was already falling apart from the POOR installation by expert install who lowes paid to install my carpet. I ended up having Blvd carpeting in Lancaster ( AMAZING WORK) and I couldn't be any happier with the installation on my carpet.......what I'm trying to say is lowes doesn't have real professional installers they use a cheap company with a SHITTY OWNER by the name of Sam, I have NEVER dealt with such an unprofessional business owner in my life however after talking to him it explained the CRAP job his installers did at my house!!!!!! If I could give them zero stars I would! I ordered a custom door from them. They messed up my order but compensated me with purchasing a door knob of my choice. Fine, we're even there. I call to check when my door will be delivered to the store- they give me a date. I plan my work schedule accordingly for that week. I call again to get an update ( should be the other way around but okay) the door won't be in for another week. One week later i get a call to set an installation date. The only available appointment was two weeks away. Not happy about it but what am I going to do right? Again, set my work schedule according to installation date and time. One day away from my installation date, the installation tech calls and says he needs to push my appointment from Friday to Tuesday/Wednesday! I can't talk to a manager about compensation until after installation. You're better off spending your money elsewhere. Especially if you have to spend more for a custom made door. I will never shop at Lowe's again and will always refer people elsewhere. read more

I took the cap off the top and the seal was completely opened and missing most of it. I called the store manager and they said we don't sell used items. On the 4th of September my husband and i came into this store and purchased a set of washer and gas dryer. We were told that following Wednesday we would get our delivery. Wednesday comes and goes, no one shows. We call and apparently they never put our order in to be delivered yet on our receipt says otherwise... so we get it set up for the 10th for a delivery, same problem again !!!!! Then promised a discount qnd a delivery of today the 11th. The appointment time comes and goes so i contact delivery and they stated it was changed at 10pm of last night without notification, to wed first delivery. No one seems to have sympathy especially the manager of today i believe he said John was his name. This is my local Lowe's and it is great. Most of the workers are great. Andrea in the garden center is a wealth of knowledge. If you ever have any plant questions be sure to ask her. This Lowe's tends to have a high standard of who it employs, because everyone that works here is very helpful. My husband and I recently purchased a home in this area and this has become our most frequented retail store in the last several months. Remember your grandparents taking you to the hardware store when you were a child and they knew EVERYONE there and it was as much of a social outing as an errand? (Ok, maybe you don't, but I do.) Regardless, this is exactly the same. But it's a big box store that has EVERYTHING. We have spent THOUSANDS of dollars here in the last several months on items from large appliances to light bulbs and screws. This place is beyond accommodating, friendly and helpful. The staff is knowledgeable and fun. Christine works in seasonal, but is a little bit of a "Jill of all trades"... she knows where EVERYTHING is. I'm not totally DIY-savvy, and she kinda laughs at me when I walk in with a list and a pout on my face and say "Cristine, help me!!". Neither my husband, nor I have ever had to be responsible for winterizing a lawn or garden before.... the guys in the greenhouse walked us through it, told us what we needed and we went home confident that we knew what to do. Awesome. And guess what... we only paid for the fertilizer... the advice was free. We bought several large appliances, and a BBQ. We wanted to BBQ assembled and delivered, guess what? The assembly and the delivery NEXT day was free. The guys who came to deliver the order not only set up all the appliances, cleaned them, but also made sure everything WORKED and that we knew how to use everything. Keep your receipts for EVERYTHING, they have a pretty generous return policy... you decide something doesn't live up to your standards? Cool. Bring it back... that includes plants that die - within a year. Not kidding. You'll NEVER have a problem with parking. The lot is HUGE. You'll probably never have a problem with an item being out of stock... their inventory is phenomenal. If they don't have it, they can usually get it for you in less than two days. Nothing but dumb kids running the place! I phoned for curb side pick-up, the extension when to lumber and they were all confused. When my call when to customer service they didn't answer. So I went inside, which 10000000000% defeats the purpose of curbside pick up. Went up to the pick up order side, was not helped or even acknowledge so I asked the customer service girl for help and she was like yeah were not doing curb side right now were busy go in line......and then some dumb old lady butted in telling me to go in line even though I was in line! I placed an order for a Samsung Refrigerator on April 7th at Lowe's Lancaster. I asked for delivery on April 24. They accepted my order. I told a friend she could have my old fridge. To make sure the Samsung was coming the 24th I called the day before and they confirmed it would be delivered on the 24th. On the 24th I got a text confirming the delivery between 2 & 6pm. I called my friend and she came and picked up my old fridge. After 6pm, I called again and they said to wait til 8pm. And guess what? Lowe's never came! So the next day I went to the Lancaster store and spoke to Michele the manager. She told me to go over to the refrigerator section to pick out another one. So I did. Then she told me that one wasn't available til June! And that the only thing she could do would be to return my money. How can a big store like Lowe's make so many mistakes! All that technology with the order taking and texting and all the customer service people telling me it was coming and none of it was true. And I am the one who is left without a refrigerator because I believed what they told me: Yes the order is confirmed; Yes the order will be delivered tomorrow; Yes wait til 8pm - it's still on its way. ALL LIES. So many mistakes and they take no responsibility. No offer to call another location to see if they have a similarly price fridge, no offer to help me at all. I needed exterior paint since my project consisted of painting my home exterior. Instead of going to Sherwin Williams (limited access due COVID19). The guy at the paint Dept was validated Sherwin Williams was the best paint option for exterior and his father who was a painter would highly recommend. I trusted his knowledge and trusted he would provide the right paint for my project. So I selected the paint color and reiterate that I need exterior paint and wanted to purchase two 5 gallon buckets to start and will come back if I needed more. Once the second bucket was half-way my son took a picture of the bucket and purchased a third bucket. I told my son we needed more than a bucket, so I called the store and spoke with a gentleman at the paint Dept and asked if he could mix a five-gallon bucket of exterior paint in Mega Greige. He said he couldn't do that so I said OK my son was just there and he will be going to get two 5-gallon buckets of exterior paint. The associate decided to mix the paint after he said he couldn't. My son was there to purchase the two-buckets but the associated had mix 5 single gallons. My son felt bad about the associate mistake and purchase them along with the two buckets. I returned the 5 single gallons because I shouldn't be paying for the associate mistake. Well, everything appeared good to go until I found the paint the associated was providing was interior and not what I had asked for. The painters kept painting and also trusted I was giving the correct paint. I reported the incident to the customer service associate and didn't get an apology or provided a possible remedy. I obviously cannot take the paint off the walls and put it back in the buckets (I saved the buckets to serve as evidence). But I do have to redo the project since the paint will not withstand for long since the paint is not for exterior and will last in the extreme heat of the antelope valley. I don't find it fair that I have to spend more money ($1K) on purchasing more paint to fix the employees mistake. read more

I usually like to shop Lowes because it is cleaner and easier to get help than the orange store. However, I am very disappointed with my recent experience. I special ordered three items for a total of just under $2000. All three items arrived at the store damaged after waiting two weeks for delivery. When I asked an assistant manager for some sort of discount due to having to wait at least a month to get my items now (should they arrive in one piece this time) she could not give me a straight answer. She says she will see if the vendors are willing to discount. I did not order from the vendors, I ordered from Lowes. As far as I am concerned Lowes can eat a little on this purchase after multiple 60 mile round trips to the store, an extended wait, and having to deal with my old broken appliances longer than expected. We are always pleasantly surprised on the great customer service we always get when we walk into Lowe's. My husband is a veteran and the fact that he ALWAYS gets a military discount on all of our purchases, without any hassle, is huge, as far as we're concerned. Others stores in our area, have told us in the past, that only certain parts of our purchase are eligible for a discount. Then it was only on certsin hoklidays. Then the discount is not applicable, because the item is on sale. Ridiculous. Not Lowe's. If you're buying it, you're getting that discount. All I can say is these two names Angel (one of the managers) and David Quispe. These are two most outstanding individuals of the Lowes family I have ever encounter. Very pleasant and extremely helpful. I honestly prefer Lowes over Home Depot because the service is usually much better. On my recent visit Angel was the first sale person I encounter and he assisted me on my visit from start to finish. He was very professional, knowledgeable and new what products I need and where to locate them. In comparison to other recent visits to Lowes where it was somewhat hard to get assistance. Angel made me feel like a Lowes VIP. He walked with me throughout the store to ensure I had all the items I needed and made great recommendations. Words can't express my level of appreciation and how impressed I was with his level of customer service. On the following day, I had the opportunity to meet another exceptional Lowes team member David. He was just as eager to assist me with my purchases and made sure I had the correct doors to fit my needs and getting them safely to the pick-up area. Overall, I was extremely impress with the level of customer services and will be returning to Lowes in the future as a result of their exceptional service. read more

It pains me to write a review on my experience with the local Lowe's. A few months back I would give Lowe's a 5 star rating but after the experience I have had with them I'm second guessing ever buying anything that takes them to install and carry a warranty. My gate was broken in May 2018 I was told when I bough the gate it has a lifetime warranty no problem. So after numerous phone calls and emails i was sent a gate. The gate doesn't fit was way to small. I contacted the maker of the gate Barrett which is back east when I told them what happened I was told they don't make that size anymore and because someone else broke it they need to fix it. My thoughts are lifetime warranty means lifetime no matter how it was broke. So after dealing with Lowe's and Barrett for 3 months I had to contact the party that broke it and asked them to fix my gate. They came out and tried to fix it and could not asked for the service adviser I have dealt number to set up to order a new gate. After sereval weeks of no contact regarding fixing my gate. I went in to the local Lowe's and talked to the manager who told me he would track the issue down and contact me regarding this matter. Never heard back from him heard from the service advisor who tapped dance around the situation. I finally told him just order the gate I'll figure out how to pay for it. Called me back a few days told me how much I called the other party and was sent a che k to pay for it. After 6 months of back and fourth with Lowe's and Barrett I have finally gotten my gate fixed I think it's rediclouse a lifetime warranty takes 6 months to fix. I shop here frequently, love their garden department and would give it 5 stars but the rest of the store gets 1 star. We are having terrible problems with squirrels that are digging under our fence and eating everything in the yard. Because California has banned so many chemicals, I am desperate to find something that works. Bought an expensive repellent at this store, sprinkled it around the area of the fence where they dig under and around the garden. Next day, hole was dug out again and a tomato plant was nothing more than a nub. Took the product back to Lowe's for a return, denied the return. The bag was open, there was less than half of the product left in the bag, it is a chemical, therefore Lowe's will not give a refund. That was a first for me. You sell a bad product, you should stand behind it and offer a refund. So much for good customer service. read more

They have the best garden department and largest selection of indoor plants in any store in the AV. I usually go once a week to peruse and always end up finding something interesting that would cost twice or more online. The woman who works in that department even approaches you to talk about plants and offers advice, without asking! This is real customer service. read more

One star is too many. Words of warning to anyone buying expensive items from this store and expecting them to support the purchase after the fact. We bought new front doors/locks and the install from this Lowe's. We wrote the check to Lowe's, it was Lowe's salespeople who provided us with brochures and directed the purchase, and it was a Lowe's-contracted team who did the install. Purchase price was about $4500. Some four years on, the locks are loose and wearing badly cosmetically, etc., so we contacted the store to see about getting them fixed. We were dreaming. They not only basically called us liars - rudely - for even asking since we couldn't produce documentation for the original purchase beyond check dates and one iPhone photo showing the workers doing the install, but one "customer service" person just dismissed me with the comment that "nothing lasts forever." Their solution? Offering us 10% off the purchase of new locks. Leaving aside the question of why, after this experience, we would ever again buy so much as a nail from this store, I wonder why it doesn't occur to them that since they don't service what they sell no sensible person would roll the dice on them a second time. Bottom line: you may shop at, buy from, and have installed by Lowe's contractors a major item like new front doors, but when it comes to problems after the sale you'll get nothing. And if anyone IS foolish enough to buy from them, then I encourage you to save every scrap of documentation so as to be able to prove to them that you're not, in fact, a liar and perpetrator of fraud when you are naive enough to ask them for help. Danielle at customer service is rude and has a horrible attitude! Bought a refrigerator online and went to customer service to pick it up, she asked for my info but could not locate it. She then asked if I received a notification to pick up the item I told her no. She stated that the item was not yet pulled and we would have to wait. She tried calling the associate from appliances and no luck. I told her I couldn't find anyone either that's why I purchased it online. We proceeded to wait and she told us a couple times "I don't know how long your going to have wait i can't locate anyone at appliances" while rolling her eyes! We finally decided to find the associate from appliances ourselves and we found him and he told us that we needed to go to customer service and sign for it and they would bring it out to us. I went back up to customer service and told her that we found the associate in appliances and she called him. My mom asked the other associate who the manager is and told her that Danielle was rude and her attitude. Then Danielle picked up the papers that we needed to sign from under the register and handed them to the other associate. She had them the whole time! Smh read more

March 2017 we ordered and paid in full nearly $18,000 for 30 new Milgard Tuscany windows. Today is December 1st. Per contract the order should have been complete by mid June. But to be fair, (we went on a 10 day vacation and requested an extension to start) so lets say by the end of June. When I received the first install, three windows were a different color. The sales person said we could use slightly less expensive windows for a couple areas but when they came, they did not work. So Tuscany had to be reordered at an additional $855 to get the colors to match. One window was the wrong size - calls for reorder, one window was damaged - calls for reorder, and one window screen was warped - reorder. One large window was discovered in September to have NEVER been ordered although it was listed AND paid for. We were assured to have this window by October 23rd. On Nov. 1 when I didn't get a call, I call them. I was told that widow would not be in until December 21st because it was a large window. DECEMBER 21st??!! A LARGE WINDOW??!! It was the same size in March when you took the measurements! Also for the warranty, you have to keep the Milgard sticker on the window until after the inspector comes, and the inspector doesn't come until all the windows are complete! This is frustrating and we are completely out of patience. Never again will we custom order anything from Lowe's and will tell all we know not to order from them unless you don't mind waiting almost a year. And the only reason for this custom-order two-star rating is because the installers were great. read more
