Years ago I was a fan of Lowes, not over the past 2-3 years. Home Depot is the absolute best for customer service. There's always a knowledgeable person available to help. Recently I was returning an item at Lowes my husband a bought before he passed away. I got a store credit, which I was not thrilled with, hut it was something. I figured I would buy some paint. The guys at the paint center were under staffed and not clear about the products. I asked for a quart of paint. The cost would be about $12. The guy made me a gallon and said I could have it for $15. Can you imagine, they screw up and want to charge me more! Because I wanted to get the hell out of there I said fine. Getting ready to paint, the color looks more pink than red. I will not ever go back to any Lowes, certainly not returning paint. I was talking to a friend in Tampa, he said same problem, no one in site to help. read more

Customer service reps are rude, "service" is non existent. I bought a washer, delivery promised after a week, with a phone call the day before and few hours before they show up. 2 weeks later, no phone calls, no delivery. I tried calling the store, they don't pick up the phone at all! I had to physically to go to the store to get info. The customer service rep is so rude, told me dismissively to go to appliance department because she cannot tell me anything. The appliance associate is equally dismissive and a "I don't care attitude". Go to Home depot, they are more willing to help. I cancelled my order at Lowe's, bought the washer at Home Depot, got it the same day. Don't waste your time and energy at Lowe's esp the store in Ulmerton, Largo. read more

Horrible experience and I will no longer shop at Lowe's. I spent almost $1000.00 purchasing a dishwasher with installation and service contract. The salesperson in appliances was the only good thing about the experience. The dishwasher was not delivered when promised, and despite five calls over the subsequent three days, no one called to set up delivery and installation. I even spoke to the manager and still no call to arrange. I returned the "purchase" which I never received. I doubt they care, but I won't be shopping there again. The way I see it, Home Depot is for serious do-it-yourselfers, while Lowe's is geared towards devotees of HGTV design shows. It looks and feels less like a no-frills home improvement warehouse than it does an upscale store where one can shop for color-coordinated wallpaper, paint, and fabrics, carpet and tiles, lamps and lighting fixtures, and big potted plants to stick in an empty corner of the living room. At this location, there's a huge adjacent garden shop filled with lots of lovely vegetation and accessories like fountains, birdbaths, ceramic pots, and windchimes, with nary a plastic pink flamingo in sight. Finding sales assistance proved to be a problem - strategically placed call-buttons are useful only if the page is answered - and while four employees staffed an empty customer service center, just one register was open to accommodate a rapidly growing line. However, the star I might have withheld was retained when a well-priced washing machine was delivered exactly at 7:30am as promised, with the old one removed and the new one installed in less time than it took to brew a pot of coffee. In an age when "we'll be there between 8:00am and noon" usually means they show up between 3:00 and 5:00pm, service like that is worthy of five stars and always wins my return business. read more

This store is an absolute abomination to deal with. I needed to replace a fence at my house and this experience has been nothing short of an absolute disaster. On Saturday, March 9, 2019 and went into this location to purchase a fence and have it delivered. I need it delivered the following week. They told me that they could have it delivered on Friday. I asked them are they absolutely certain that I will get the delivery. I am taking the day off to put in the fence as well as my son. They told me it would be delivered. I have an exposed pool in my backyard and I cannot leave it without a fence, violating city code. I received a phone call the day before stating I was going to get delivery and then I would get a phone call in the morning when they would show up. By 11 AM I became worried and called. I was told that the driver would call me when I would get the The delivery and that they can deliver up till 7 PM. I waited all day until 430 and I called and no one could tell me anything. I finally got on the phone with a manager that seem to be clueless and told me that not only was I not getting my delivery but it never left the store in the first place. I explained that I lost a days wages as well as my son and they seemed to care very little. They said I would get the delivery the next morning by 930. 930 has come and went I received a phone call at 8:30 this morning and was told it was on its way. This is been one of my worst customer service experiences. Buyer beware. Stay away from the store. read more

My wife and I are seniors who were looking at kitchen countertops at the Largo Lowes. I feel we were treated like we were "invisible." We were unable to get their staff to answer our question about the countertop composition and if they quote square foot prices for comparison. Their two staff were talking with a couple who were obviously buying something and didn't seem interested in taking with us. We waited. We went to complain to a manager after one of the staff left to help someone who came after us. But that didn't work. We ended up getting treated badly again--told to "set-up an appointment." I do not think they treated us with basic common sense respect and dignity. The heck with them! We are done with that store! I guess I'll drive a little farther to Home Depot or a different Lowes for plants/hardware.. For our kitchen work we will be using a contractor and interior designer that have reputations as being honest and straight forward. read more

I ordered a simple B Black & Decker dust buster. I waited for an unreasonable time for it to arrive. When I received an email that it was ready to be picked up at the Lowe's in Largo I went there with a copy of the email. I had to wait awhile for the Pick Up person. When she was available she could not locate the Black & Decker dust buster. So I had to cancel the order. This was a waste of two weeks and a trip to the store. Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. We have never had good customer service here, but today I was treated so unprofessionally I just can't believe it. My husband and I were shopping for some new flowers for our garden and soil. We were done and standing in line with 2 carts outside at the garden center. My head was turned because here was a woman checking it and we were talking and the cashier called a guy from the other line over to check out before us. My husband told the cashier that we were clearly next and the cashier responded with, "well I thought you were talking". When we were called up, he was so rude that I asked to speak with the manager. He said I am not calling the manager, I didn't do anything wrong. I said you are extremely unprofessional, and he said yeah right, uh huh, I'm really unprofessional. I asked him to call the manager again, that he has no business dealing with the public and he again refused. He was laughing and rolling his eyes and finally the other cashier called the manager and he was nice and listened to our complaints. I tried returning a defective Whirlpool 50 gallon electric water heater. It was in the box, drained, and I had receipt showing it was purchased 24 days prior. The manager refused to issue a refund (or even in-store credit) because he could not get credit from Whirlpool, as Whirlpool does not accept returns without a return authorization, something they don't issue under ANY circumstances. So ... I'm left with a $280 water heater that doesn't work. Funny thing is Lowe's store receipt clearly states "if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase ... return it within 90 days for full refund ..." The manager said that doesn't apply to Whirlpool water heaters! Any lawyers out there looking to start a class action lawsuit against Lowe's, let me help! This really isn't relevant to the above, but I have purchased over $6k worth of Lowe's products in three weeks for a house project I am working on. Every purchase has been made on their store card. On 10 July 2019 my wife and I were shopping in the tile department at 15-16:00 in the afternoon. The assistant who helped us was a man named Chris, and I can only reap praise upon his assistance. He took all the time we needed to complete our sale, was extremely helpful in volume measurement and maintained a sincere interest through out. His efforts were instrumental in our purchasing the tile, and we cannot over emphasize his friendly manner and interest in making sure we were taken care of. Kudos to him and the store!! read more

The worst ever. I bought a refrigerator the day after Thanksgiving. I was told delivery would be December 9 they called and moved back to the 18 with the excuse it was shipped to the wrong place. On The 17 I had not heard from them so I called to be told they didn't know where the refrigerator was and when it arrived they would let me know. I told the manager Brian that was acceptable and his reply was it was not their fault. I then called the corporate office who also blew me off. They need to get their act together. The online ordering process is awful. They notify you your item is ready for pick-up but it's not. You end up having to wait in the return line for 20 minutes only to find they have to call someone to go find your item which takes another 15-20 minutes. You could literally find the item yourself, pay for it and be back home in the time it takes to pick up an online order that's ready for pickup. read more

Very disappointed wtih this store, we purchased exterior paint for our doors that are inclosed in patios and within a year of painting them with vals paint they have turned chalky, and faded I will not purchase any more paint from them. She makes a call... to ask that the order be brought up. 40 minutes of watching customers returning orders and I pipe up "what about my order "? She immediately says she had two people look and they couldn't find any even though the inventory says the have 16. Since I had been watching her work I knew she obviously had known that 20 minutes ago and I was just wasting. My time. I go to the back and look. No dowels. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! This Lowe's does not have any customer service worth a crap! I ordered doors for my house months ago before I moved in and they come in wrong every time!! I had to move in this month and I'm living without a door because it's STILL NOT IN! I also ordered my kitchen cabinets through Lowe's. BAD IDEA. The designer didn't even show up our first appointment. Once my cabinets came in the installers left without finishing the job and I've been calling for months to get them back to finish. They came today and did not bring the necessary tools so claimed we would have to reschedule!! I'm living with out a door and with an unfinished kitchen because Lowe's cannot get anything right! NOT HAPPY! I've talked to manager Ashley about our problems and did not even get an apology or any kind of resolution. She "cannot guarantee any type of compensation" for all the hassle. Just to say I have spent thousands of dollars with this company over the past few months on a fixer upper home I purchased back in March. Yesterday (6/9/17, I walked into the store with the intent of purchasing another door. I stopped by customer to return a $10 shower knob, the clerk Jill, was a little rude, to expected it is Lowes. She could not find the item in the receipts I gave her, instead of saying it is not in our inventory, she called a man over from plumbing and they proceeded to have a conversation, all but calling me a thief! When I told him all the parts were in the container, he replied "I wasn't talking to you", and it just got worse from there. He was towering over me yelling at me, I am a little 4'11" woman and he was 6" or so tall. No reason for him to act that way. I asked for a manager, some girl came up said she was manager (no manager id on name tag). and did nothing the help the situation. I left the store shaken, and I purchased my door at home depot down the road, where they appreciate customers who spend thousands of dollars with them. I still can't get through to customer service and the fake manager has done nothing about the situation. read more

Like every Lowes, a ghost town when you walk in, employees included. My first contact with an employee came after I had been in the store for about 30 minutes, and had already aquired a cart full of products for a project for a friend. I stopped in the tool department, where I asked 1) Do you carry line wrenches. 2) Do you have breaker bars. Both are tools you rarely need but when you do... So the answer from the employee was 1) We're out of line wrenches and 2) We don't carry breaker bars. I continued to look for a couple of minutes and found the breaker bar. And eventually, days later I found out in an email from the manager, that Lowes doesn't carry line wrenches. So both of the questions I recieved the night of my visit were wrong. But what happened next has caused me never step foot in a Lowes store ever again! After the unhelpful tool department conversation, I see another Lowes employee taking something out of my shopping cart. I walk over to ask what was the problem. His reply, "Just checking something." He had scanned a contractor pack of outlet, the label was intact, untampered uellow Lowes price tag. The same price pops up on the little scanner he had in his hand and says, "Yup, that's right." Then puts my box of outlets back in my cart and walks away. Stunned by this odd behavior I follow him back to where he was stocking some shelves. I walked up and checked his name tag, Henry. I then went to customer service and asked to speak with a manager, Bryce, soon appeared. I showed him the box and asked why an employee would stop what he was doing, 20 feet away and walk up and check my cart and scan a product? I assumed he was accusing me of price tag swapping or something of that nature. Regardless, I didn't care for the treatment. I tol Bryce that Henry could buy my cartful of stuff or re-stock them, because I was going to go to the Home Depot, I passed on my way to Lowes. Afterwards, I contacted the customer service center and was promised a call from the store manager within 24 hours. Nine days, four calls & five emails to customer service center later, I get a call from Jerry, the district manager. During our conversation, I asked what if a woman had her purse in the cart, or if a child were in a cart, would an employee still behave in such a manner, his reply was, "Now you're talking what-ifs, doesn't matter." I say it does matter. And people do care. Legally, yes, I know that until I pay for and leave the store Lowes still owns the products in the cart. But, Jerry, with the disrespectful employees and poor customer service response, and frankly, a poor attitude towards customer's concerns. Those products will remain the property of Lowes, forever. I'll do my business with somebody who treats me with respect. Just because I'm not in a suite and tie doesn't mean I'm trying to steal. It means I'm probably buying home improvement products. read more

This store sucks for customer service. We have been there on the last two Sundays after church and there is only one or two checkers although they probably have 6 or more registers. They have no self check out like other home improvement stores so you are forced to wait in line to check out. We had three items and got stuck in one of the two open lines behind a few plumbers that were buying multiple plumbing fittings and tools. The first setback was a call to the manager to give his override for a tool purchase that was marked on sale, Okay, that took a few minutes and by then about 6 - 8 people in line waiting behind us. Chad the manager left and the cashier started doing the remaining items and came up with a 50 cent item that didn't have a tag on it. This required a call to the plumbing department. Nobody answered and the plumbers said just charge them what the other fittings cost. The cashier said she could get fired. The crowd was getting frustrated and unruly. Needless to say it got worse from there as the manager then came up and couldn't rectify the problem. It was embarrassing and stupid over a 50 cent piece of plastic. We had been in line for about 10 minutes and finally gave up and put our items down and left along with several other customers. What a joke. We wont be returning to this Lowes - EVER! We went to Home Depot and bought what we needed and checked out quickly and efficiently. read more
