I normally hate to do negative reviews, but I hope this one helps others avoid what I went through. I originally purchased replacement doors at my local Lowe's. To take advantage of their installation service, which was recommended by the local Lowe's staffer who helped me, I went online to submit my service order. The whole online experience was a disaster. They need to update their website to be more user friendly. After a few days, I finally submitted request for help. I received a phone call to review and finalize my order. No prob, right? Enter Window Fits, who called me to schedule. Well, after some delays, coordinating with delivery of doors prior to the contractors scheduled visit, the installation day finally arrived. It didn't go smoothly. The delivered doors were chipped around corners with scuff marks on the pre-primed white doors. The contractor assured they'd take care of them when installed. Halfway through, he tells me the delivery didn't have all 30 Primed S4SEE MDF Boards and that he had to go and pick up the missing boards. After he told me the job was done, I noticed my tile floors around the door frames had the exposed subfloors. He said he would come back and fill them in. Then I found some door frames that weren't caulked and not firmly nailed in. After making promises to come back to finish...they never showed up. I called Lowe's to complain. The person on the phone said he'd submit an investigation and a work order to send someone to come out to inspect the job. Well, I got an email confirmation from Lowe's. Wanna guess what the email subject line was? "Lead Paint Assessment". The copy read, "Lowe's requires you to schedule a lead paint assessment for your property in Las Vegas, NV, due to potential EPA regulations, and provides information on the process and required actions." Not only did the email alarmed my whole family, they wanted to move out. Nice job Lowe's. What a joke. read more

This review applies to all Lowe stores... they have chosen the wrong third party credit department for their stores. I found it interesting that you can only pay your statement balance if it is more than what you actually owe because of returns by going to the third party directly on their phone system, not a live person. The computer will take your payment.Whatever it is , where a live person will not... and even a supervisor at the credit department will blame you for not making the payment when they will not accept it.So I have chosen not to do business with this company.Any further read more

It's Lowe's so you know they have a lot of good stuff. We found everything we needed but, man. The people who work here aren't friendly or nice. An employee who was restocking the shelves just pushed past us without saying a word and acted like we were in his way. And the women at the cash registers are rude af. We used self checkout and an annoying woman working there stood over our shoulders and barked commands constantly. Like wtf woman we can read! How would you like someone behind you yelling, "Press ok!" "Wrong way!" "You gotta push the button on the gun to scan!" Before you even have a chance to do anything? Like, Helloooo mfer we are not new to this planet WE KNOW!!! I wanted so badly to turn around and tell her to stfu or ring us up herself. Man. And when my husband gently told her to relax she snapped, "NO! I CAN'T RELAX!" Dude. Must suck to be like her. I do a lot of home improvement and home renovations. I used to go to this store frequently, and it wasn't so bad. But in the last year or so it has gotten so much worse that I now drive past the store to go to a Home Depot about 8 minutes down the street. The store is more or less empty most of the time, both of customers and employees. If I need help, it usually takes about 10 minutes to find an employee. Even when I do find an employee, the results are not so good. One time I asked where soldering flux was, and after walking through the store with me for a few minutes he announced the store does not carry it. (Soldering flux is essential to doing plumbing with copper pipes, and the store did carry in fact carry it). Another time I wanted to buy a power tool that was locked up. I found an employee who called another employee to the tool section. After another 15 minutes, I found the same employee and she called the employee again. After another 20 minutes the same employee called for help to the tool section a third time. After about 90 minutes, by the end of which I was just camping out and sitting on the floor, I gave up and left. On my way out someone told me they had lost the key. Another time I needed them to cut a 1" thick cedar plank. After the usual 10 minutes trying to find an employee, the employee told me that their machine only cuts plywood. I'm not familiar with their wood-cutting-machine, but I know that I once went to Home Depot and they cut a 4" thick piece of solid pine (not plywood) with a smile. Fortunately I have a battery powered circular saw and could cut the wooden plank in the Lowe's parking lot so it would fit into my car. For a few months, Lowe's had some sort of deal with SunRun to let SunRun employees sell solar power installation in the store. I would often be approached by 3 or 4 SunRun employees before I could find a Lowe's employee. I actually got to know the SunRun employees pretty well, talking to them while the Lowe's employees hid out of sight. The inventory is not nearly as good as the home depot down the street. It feels like they are trying to sell out of everything before the store closes. The main things are still there: paint, lumber, drywall, etc., but if you want something not so common like a particular pipe fitting or a certain size of screw, then you may be disappointed. In a single word, the store is empty. Empty of employees, empty of customers, empty of knowledge, and empty of inventory. Which is why I now drive past this store to go to Home Depot. read more

Honestly the experience wasn't horrible but could definitely have been better. I came in cause I needed a tool and honestly was having a hard time telling which one would work for what I was trying to do, so I asked a worker who was right next to me and without even really looking at the tools she just told me that there wasn't a difference between any of them and it didn't matter which one I choose cause they would all do the same thing. Review for August's help in my purchase with a dishwasher and hood range vent. I've already been two a different Lowes and a Home Depot. I knew what I wanted. August, was amazing. Really helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. Was able to debunk/explain the negative reviews from ordering large appliances (water found in a dishwasher, to more). Caution on appliance delivery -- I was told just 2 days before delivery August seems to know the best ways around Lowes. Unsure how true 30days returnable is true for no Lowe's credit card used. But she had great tips to watch out for and such. Wouldn't recommend the cheapest dishwasher (cause will break easily). But not the most expensive because not worth it. Required additional parts to buy -- Understood what was really needed for installation/replacement: Said installation just adds alot of things which is not needed, just spend more. The only thing needed will be mentioned as required equipment when purchase the Lowe's appliance. (will find out if this is true after installation) Able to clarify/debunk about negative reviews: - Lowe's Protection Plans/Warranty has horrible reviews. Reason could be because of supply parts situation: Parts are usually shipped/supplied by the manufacturer which can take a long time (I remember 1-2 weeks). And if manufacturer doesn't have it, they'll have to get it from the factory. Problem is if your brand does not have a factory in America like (Bosch), then it'll take forever for international communications/supply of your parts. = BUY PROTECTION PLAN IF YOU BUY BOSCH BRAND? = Also have 30 days after to still decide/buy the protection plan. But the plan may cost more if the appliance prices increased from sale price. - Return/Exchange: Issues with 48hours return on large appliances. 48hours is meant for dents, cosmetics, any apparent opinion of just decided don't want it. But still actually have 30 days to return for issues like wire blows, actual problems, etc IF buy from their store. The store manager at the store will be more willing to help with the situation vs if buy online. Then you'll have to deal with online returning/exchanging and they most likely will stick to the 48hours. = BUY APPLIANCES IN STORE!!! At least from August's Store. - Negative Reviews about Dishwashers coming wet, or not with exact parts seen from store to online pcitures. LG and certain brands test their dishwashers before giving them out so it is common to find them wet. What you get will not match the online pictures all the time. Other: - Price Match. Cannot match with paid membership places like Costco, Sams, or places with payment system. - Markups are returns, displays, appliance with missing items. Each store has their inventory of it. Vegas is so weird, that ppl just steal knobs, and random stove gas range circular tops. Many landlords/flippers come buy these items.   Lowe's Delivery Situation: - Online says get in within 7 days like by 11/27. BUT for the items we got, August is able to schedule exact date and either day/afternoon time for in store pick up, or delivery to house. - Rescheduling is possible with a call to any of her managers. It'll ship to their store before delivered to us. If its not in a rush, it'll give staff enough time to also make sure and check the items/store in the store vs rush it out for delivery right away. - For August's store: Tuesdays and Thursdays 10pm these shipments come to store. Then its unloaded/ready for pick-up/delivered Wednesdays and Fridays. - A MONTH LATE DELIVERY. Two days before delivery (which I've scheduled around my installer to visit the day after) -- I was told the dishwasher wouldn't even be available until 2+weeks later during Xmas. Really that just means it won't be as available until January!! Beware! Lowe's Returns: - Small required for use items for appliance installation. - Appliances (Our Dishwasher/Range Hood). Return/Exchange: Issues with 48hours return on large appliances. 48hours is meant for dents, cosmetics, any apparent opinion of just decided don't want it. Went in here this am for some bender board for a landscape project we are doing. Only lowes that had it in stock. What a fiasco. Couldn't locate it even though it said there was 87 pieces in stock. I asked an employee and they acted like I was keeping them from something more important. I was using store mode and it was showing me BW AISLE 1. Well I located it myself. After wandering around. We bought a set of LG Washer and Dryer and had it installed today. We paid extra for the installation. The installer started up both machines, then left. Before the dryer, LG DLE3400W, had finished its cycle, it stopped working with an error message. We called Lowe's and was told that it would be 1.5 weeks before they could get someone out to service it. I told them "but you haven't finished the installation" They refused to come back out and make sure it worked. This is the second time I've had problems with an installation from Lowe's, the first time was a water heater that they hired Ok Plumbing to install, but this time they said their own employees would install it. Lowe's Ft. Apache Las Vegas. Likely the policy throughout all Lowe's, but purchased several thousand $$ of new flooring. Specifically asked sales guy if I could return unused flooring, "of course you can". Well, went back to store today, lugged about 200 lbs of unused extra flooring back to the store only to have the agent tell me it's been over 90 days since the purchase (WITH a receipt). Lowe's, if costs a lot of $$ to gain high-dollar business to your stores. To tell a person they can't return unused material after 90 days WITH A RECEIPT is the lowest step you can take. Never again will I ever step into a Lowe's. The only way you can make it up to me is to pick up my unused flooring and credit my account. I can obtain better service virtually anywhere. The only bad points are employees complaining to customers about how badly they are treated. This has happened numerous times, with different people. One of the rudest most disgusting times I've ever had been talked to and treated. I myself work with people every single day and it talked to anyone or treated anyone the way this worker did I would be fired on the spot. I had gotten paint mixed here from them with a color paper right off their own wall. Went home with two gallons painted and ended up short. Went back with the same exact paper same exact paint code and they mixed it wrong the second time. Not knowing and trusting that they mixed correctly I went on yo finish painting and touching up the walls and spots and wake up the next morning to if being different shades . Explained this to her and the first thing she said to me when I got there she glared at me and says " how can I help you" in the rudest way. Literally one of the worst experiences shopping in my life. Trying to find someone who works there was a nightmare in itself, but when I did find someone they completely ignored me. I found a worker and waited for him to be done with a prior task and when he was done and clearly saw me, decided to walk the opposite direction. I had to chase the worker down screaming EXCUSE ME SIR for a good 20 seconds before I gave up on trying to get his help. I find another worker after 10 minutes and he never once looked up from his phone while "assisting" me. Finally, I get to lumber and need a piece cut so it'll fit in my car-apparently that's an issue. I ask the kid and he says it's against the rules to cut the lumber, even though there's a cutter right there. He said he'd do it this one time, cut it no problem, and then when I went to check out the lady was furious that he cut the wood for me. Isn't that what home improvement stores do?? I had The Best service from Monica. I was looking for a full kitchen suite that was on sale. On my first visit Monica welcomed herself, told me about the same as cash sale and how I could apply for credit. I was still a bit undecided, Monica did not push me but offered her card instead. On my second visit Monica gave me above average service as well as Kimmy. I was told to get measurements so we can order accordingly. Only than did I know that Monica was the Flooring Sales Specialist for flooring, but still went above and beyond to service me in the appliance department! On my third and final visit Monica again superseded expectations and assisted me with the purchase of a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher and ice maker. I opened a credit card and received Lowes sale price and given additional instructions regarding delivery and installation. Monica and Kimmy are an amazing asset to Lowes and it's customers. Hello, Just a quick note to anybody who wants to do business with Lowe's and particularly with this store, don't! I have never experienced this level of incompetence in the kitchen department. I have ordered and paid for a custom made kitchen in February and today is Nov 1st and it is still not installed. Still waiting for one of the cabinets, removed by Lowe's as damaged and in need to be reordered. The frustration, aggravation and living without a kitchen can really take a toll on your health. Three times we had a Samsung refrigerator delivered and all three times the refrigerators had dents, right in the front. We obviously could not accept that and had to send it back. THREE TIMES ...???!!! I've never seen more unprofessional people in my life. I went in Forex tfor tell a power cord since I'm working from home I asked 2 employees where the power cords were neither of them knew what I was talking about after I asked the 2nd employee she told me to check isle 13 and once I left her register she went on the loud speaker and told security to scan the isle 13 as if I was going to steal a 8.65 power cord ! After I found the cord she tried to wave me down to pay at her register ! Plus staff is always willing to help you find anything because let's be real it's hard to find anything in there. Store is laid out very well and super clean. Went in to get my key made, guy was busy and said he would find someone. He couldn't find someone to do it for me so he did it himself even though he was busy. That was really awesome. Got me in and out without having to wait. Outside plants section is always organized and always have a great selection of succulents to flowers to palm trees they have it all. They also have a sale side for some cute flowers that need a home soon lol. It's hard not to buy there when everything is laid out so well and everything is fresh. My fears were swept away after walking in and asking to be directed to an area where there are screws/drill bits/levels/and fitters for my power drill. I don't know much about tools but I know how to use them. The names and pieces, not so much. Once in the right department I was completely overwhelmed. There's a ton of stuff. Sizes, price points, kits, et al. I was getting nervous. There was a gentleman, Latin American, who saw I needed help. He cracked jokes and made me feel so comfortable so fast. I asked a question and help helped me figure out what I needed in minutes. AND I was able to get more tools because I was reminded or because they came in pieces, which could help y save a dollar or two. Lowes over Competitors any day!!!
