Dear Lowe's Management and Employees, At Lowe's you have no options. This is the second time I have experienced some of the worst customer service in my life, at Lowe's on Dallas Highway in Marietta, GA. I drove a considerable distance to return a Spyder Hole Saw Kit that is unusable. I waited with another customer for about five to ten minutes while Lowe's employees shared lots of small talk with the two workers behind the service desk. Finally, an employee waving me in and I politely said I bought this tool a while back and haven't returned it because I live a considerable distance away, and handed her the receipt. With no introduction or how can I help you, she barked "we can't take it back its' been over 90 days". The receipt showed I bought the tool 103 days ago. I said, well what are my options, I'll take a store credit? She said in a condescending, snip, "you have no options". I then politely asked for the manager, and the women just growled back," she's over there". There was no general direction, no description, no let me get her for you or one second and I'll see if she's available. So now I get to ask folks in the front of the store, are you the manager? If this misaligned employee would understand, per the Wall Street Journal, the average loyal customer spends between 105,000 and 115,000 dollars at their favorite utility box store in their lifetime. My wife and I will easily exceed this amount because we own multiple properties. Lowe's Management, how much do you think employees like this and store focused return policies cost you each year? I have spent decades in adult education and I have a wonderful network of friends and co-workers who will enjoy hearing about Lowe's, once again, and their stellar policies and people. Never purchase cabinets from Lowes: I am remodeling my house to put it on the market to relocate. I was in Lowes and noticed the 30% off sign. I asked what the turnaround time was. I was told two to three weeks if you choose one of the in stock items. I was told the purchase needs to be made this week to receive the sales price. I asked if I buy them now can they be in my home in thirty days. They said it should only take a couple of weeks. They stated that the order will be sent out to the install company. After they respond with a price and a measurement date the install will be scheduled. I said let's do it. I reminded the sales person that I am going to list my house and the schedule is of the upmost importants.One week later I asked what the status of my purchase was. I was told to come in and pay for the cabinets then the install can be scheduled. After three trips in store and three separate deliveries I am no closer to even having an install date than ten weeks ago when I walked in the store. Some of the cabinets that were deleverd were returned stock from a previous sale and damaged goods. Now in the third month and no clue what the next step is. Every time I call noone has no clue what I am talking about or who can exicute my cabinet install There is much more to the story but I get sick thinking about it. I have been an extremely loyal customer of Lowe's West Marietta store. As a matter of fact, several of the staff know me, we chat for a few minutes! Love that!! This review has nothing to do with them. I was at the paint counter for several minutes, waiting for assistance. I pressed the assistance button, it sounded several times. A man dressed in the Lowe's vest walked u to the paint counter, turned off the assistance button and WALKED AWAY! I put my paint chip on the counter, and went directly to Home Depot. I have not returned since. That was incredibly rude, and disrespectful. read more

I made a large purchase that required flat bed delivery. The people I spoke to at the pro desk where polite and helpful but the good experience stopped there. I was told I would be given a call the evening before with the delivery time and I called the store when it was close to 9, than I was given an improper 1800 number to follow up with. I called the store again and the manager said shipping went home so he would email the shipping supervisor and he'd call me with a time as early as 5AM. I called the store several more times throughout the day trying to find out what time my delivery was without being given an answer until at 3PM I was finally put in touch with the truck driver who said he was loading my stuff for delivery. I wasted the whole day waiting for a delivery, when I was supposed to be somewhere else. I won't get the delivery until the end of the business day and a full day has been wasted. I gave them a star back, this is a great place to buy building materials but I will try to avoid using there delivery service again. read more

There are a few employees at the Dallas Hwy location that are professional....A VERY few. DO NOT interact or deal with Mark in Fencing. We financed a new wood fence. The installation crew didn't have to do half the demolition that was estimated so they called in a $300 credit. We ended up paying interest for almost 3 months on money we never borrowed because Mark promised over and over again to process a refund. After the first month he stopped returning phone calls. I ended up having to deal with upper management to get the credit processed. read more

Made arrangements to have hardscape materials pulled and ready for pick up, 24 hours in advance. It would be too customer friendly to allow yard man to pick up materials for us. No, we had to go personally because we prepaid with our credit card. Upon arrival at the appointed time, no one knew anything about the order. After wasting the better part of an hour passing the buck (where's the management?), one young man took charge of the matter and pulled the order while we waited another half-hour. I've been a Lowe's customer for years. I love the selection of home improvement items that are available, but it's 'hit or miss' when it comes to quality customer service. Today I have to say.. I was pleasantly surprise by an employee by the name of 'Carron'(sp?). She went out of her way to ensure that I downloaded the Lowe's App. Then she went a step further to show me how to properly use it.. (just in case I'm looking for an item and can't find someone in the store to assist me with checking the inventory.) Carron thank you so much for providing quality customer service. This won't be a positive review but I will start with the upside: 3 stars for Lowe's having what we needed at a better price than HD, having it in stock, and for the first employee we encountered being friendly. Here's why they lost 2 stars: We started at HD and then noticed that the cabinets we needed were 10% off at Lowe's. We went to Lowe's and asked the friendly associate if we could still get 10% off as the in-store shelf tag said 10% off with minimum $600 purchase, whereas the website said 10% off without a minimum. He said just let check out person know. So we did that and the woman at check out seemed confused, and--worse--made my sweet husband feel like he was some sort of criminal and that he was inconveniencing her. She had to get another employee involved to complete the transaction. We spend a lot money at both home improvement stores as we DIY a lot of projects. If pressed to choose one over the other, it would probably be Lowe's. We went out of our way to leave the competition to spend our money at this one. Therefore the customer service experience was disappointing, insulting, and a possible motivator to shop elsewhere. read more

This is almost a year late in writing a review concerning the installation of Lowe's 23 double pane windows, and several exterior doors. The problem was with the Lowe's installer, Eddy, and his sloppy crew that didn't all speak or understand English well. I said I was going to having my porch painted and they thought I said my house, so they did a sloppy job of caulking around the dark green front door on my light colored house. They installed the wrong windows in the basement that were to be in the upstairs bedrooms. Lowe's refunded some money on that. I had to call back to Lowe's several times to get thiings fixed. I could not recommend Eddy and his crew as installers. Yes, they were fast, but not careful in detail. read more

If you don't trust your employees get rid of them. If you do trust your employees, give them the ability to give 10% off for military. The only two registers open and customer service desk all waiting on a manager to give 10% off is a waste of everybody's time. We waited so long the two cashiers actually had to open 2 other registers just to get all the people through that were waiting on a us. Trust your people or get different managers. read more

My experience with this store goes back to November 2012 with a refrigerator purchase. At that time I would have rated the store five stars. Now, in my opinion, it is not currently managed well. In short, my appliance was recalled from the manufacturer and I had to do a swap out with this location. Getting this done has been very time-consuming and frustrating. I have been trying to get this resolved since early spring. Employees don't seem to communicate well across various internal departments or take ownership for resolving and following through with customer concerns (I did experience good service from Tony and Simon in appliances). The new Lowes delivery vendor (XPO Last Mile) is a total mess. They don't communicate well with the store or the customer, not giving advance notice of delivery dates. I actually had to call both Lowes and XPO to confirm a delivery date. The evening before my scheduled delivery, I still didn't have a delivery time and my call to XPO rolled into voicemail. So, I drove to the Lowes store to get help because no one answered their phones (I think there was a power outage). I spoke to the assistant manager who apologized for the confusion and said he would find out a delivery time and call me back, but that never happened. I ended up calling XPO early the following morning to find out when they were coming. When I finally had my new appliance delivered and set up in my home, XPO called to say they had an appliance delivery scheduled. Huh? I told them the appliance had already been delivered. A few days later, a XPO delivery driver called to say he had an appliance pick-up scheduled for my home. What? They had already taken it away when they delivered the new appliance! Currently I am trying to find out who is responsible for making sure the original appliance has been credited back to my card. The customer service employee doesn't know and didn't care to find out. Instead, she just transferred me to flooring! Needless to say, unless this store tightens up its operations, I won't make a major purchase here again. read more

I've never been a big fan of Lowe's, every time I go in there I can never find a person to help me. So I normally go to Home Depot. I decided to go to Lowe's to buy a dishwasher. As usual I couldn't find anybody and it was quite a cumbersome task but I got the dishwasher. After a few months I realize the dishwasher was Trash (not Lowe's fault but Frigidaires fault) I went back in to try and buy a new one. As usual, it took 20 minutes to get someone to help me. Then it was another 20 minutes for the guy to process my purchase. Then he sent me to the front of the store where I waited another 20 minutes to pay for the new dishwasher and process my order for a refund for the old dishwasher. The problem was after waiting 20 minutes at the register I found out that the second guy who took 20 minutes to put my order in, actually did not put my order in. So we had to start all over again. After being there for over an hour I was done with Lowe's. I gave Lowes two stars instead of one star because a manager is giving me my entire refund including the installation fee which I appreciate. I'm going to Home Depot to buy a dishwasher. I don't think I'll be visiting Lowe's again. 2 months later.....After posting this I patiently waited for my refund but instead I got a call from some customer service department saying they wanted to set up a repair. When I told him I was promised a refund they said they would investigate it and call me back but they never did. I contacted the CEOs office of Robert Nibio when I did not get a response I called the number that I had dug up for his office. I reached a Suzanne who told me to email her and she would get right on it. I emailed her at suzanne.klenawicus@lowes.com and I realized "get right on it" meant forward my email to the customer relations department. I Sat waiting for them to call me and they asked me to explain the whole situation so they could investigate it, when they came back the investigation found that I needed to pay to get the dishwasher fixed. I tried to go back to Suzanne but then she was ignoring me. I could not believe the customer service that I was receiving but it was a good thing that I recorded the manager on video promising me the refund. I sent that video to Lowe's and they still ignored me. My plan was to send it to some news channel so I can get my money back but I was so disgusted with Lowe's that I decided to make one more attempt to get my money back so I called the store and got a manager and explained the whole situation and guess what? The manager (who had integrity) gave me my money back without issue. After two weeks of dealing with that horrible horrible horrible corporate office and getting nowhere and having no one apologize and having no one acknowledge my issue the manager at the Lowe's store did exactly what should've been done in the beginning, he gave me back my money. I change the two stars to one star because my situation was so frustrating but that one star is for that one manager in the Lowe's who helped me when nobody else would and nobody else cared. Lowes is Trash. Just found out that 51 Lowe's stores are closing. It's because of their crappy service. After what I went through, this is not shocking at all, looking forward to the other store is closing as well. read more

Strictly name keeps this location open because it's definitely not the customer service. There are a few good associates but most are unapproachable and there are not enough to go around. I waited 20-30 minutes to get help in the wire cutting isle yesterday (2/26/16) and eventually gave up and went to Home Depot. Did a custom door quote and Lowe's was $500 more with less options. I do like the paint department. They are knowledgeable and helpful but do seem overworked. I arrived at the store intending to get a credit. A third party installer had failed to provide all of the agreed upon services. I was unsure of where to start- the appliance department or the customer service desk. I started at the appliance department. I stated my case and after a calm debate, my position was recognized and accepted. We walked to the customer service desk together and my credit was promptly processed. I have no idea if those who helped me were in store management roles or not. I was impressed that they were listeners who were also decisive. read more

Based on May 12, 2018 experience at location on Douglas Boulevard in Douglasville, GA. It was a horrific ordeal; I think it's the worst experience in my life. I have multiple sclerosis and have to complete my outdoor activities before the outside temperature gets hot and in the sun. Otherwise, I'm thrown into a medical episode. I share this because I was very intentional when I went to Lowe's early Saturday morning. I arrived and purchase 10 bales of straw (i'd previously purchased about 10 to 12 bales from this same location). I asked the Cashier to call for an associate to meet me at the truck containing the straw. No one showed up for 15 minutes. From my car, I called Lowes, spoke to someone at the front desk and told her that no one showed to up to the truck containing the straw. In fact, I've saw no one in the gardening area. After another 20 minutes passed, I walked to the Lowe's front desk and explained that no associate came to give me the straw from the truck. I also informed the front desk associate that I had MS and very sensitive to heat and sun. I needed to get everything done quickly. The front desk associate spent another 15 minutes calling the associate who was scheduled to work at 6am; speaking to the floor managers and associates who consistently asked the status of the employees who was a no-show. Everyone was dressed casually in jeans; but, no one was willing to help me. It was as if I was not physically present to see these things going on around me. During this time, more customers showed up requesting an associate's assistance with straw and sod. Note: I don't recall see any other customers throughout the store except in the garden section. Almost, one hour later, they appointed Mr. O. Thompson to help and he was the only shinning star of the day. By the time, he was appointed; I was beyond disappointed with Lowe's lack of service and profusely crying. Since my car could only fit a portion of my straw purchase, Mr. O. Thompson graciously waited for me to come back to pick up the remaining bundles without having to go through the front desk and lack of assistance from floor associates and managers. This horrific experience has lead me to find a company that going forward will deliver 25 bales of straw to my home so this nightmare will not be repeated. I have to purchase a new water heater and found one at Lowe's; but, will not due to this experience. Straw is a small revenue source; but, home appliances is a large purchase. And, I will hopefully invoke change by taking my business somewhere else and sharing my experience with everyone that I know and work with and generally encounter in life. That's how impact your overall employee's lack of service impacted me. read more

I bought a refrigerator and paid for it with LOWES gift cards. The invoice and receipt both show that the item was paid for in full and the cards were debited correctly. Nevertheless, prior to me going to pick it up, my order was canceled without any notification to me that it was being done or any explanation of why it was canceled. The store said the gift cards didn't go through so there was nothing they could do about it. They told me to contact Lowe's gift card service to straighten it out. The Gift card service said there was nothing they could do about it other than "investigate it over the next 3-5 days" and directed me back to the store. So two departments at Lowes were pointing the finger at each other. In the meantime, I'm stuck in the middle...unable to get a refrigerator that I needed badly and had already paid for, while having to wait to get a replacement gift card 5 days later. (By which time I would have been without cold drinks and food for a week and oh, the sale price would no longer be in effect either.) It is unbelievable to me that the company can confirm that I used the cards to pay for the item (which is why they are being replaced) but there was no way they could issue me some type of immediate credit for a quicker resolution. Everyone expressed their fake sorrow for me as they had been trained to do. But in the end, no one really helped me when it was clearly not my fault in the least. This will sour my relationship with Lowes forever! read more

The fellows know their cabinets and how to get the job done at a competitive price. Marty Huebener the Manager is the tops in making your kitchen cabinets come alive. He knows his cabinets and is the most helpful and knowledgeable in his product line. He is the best I have every worked with and really cares about your project and you being a customer Rob Kellum one of the top sales member is on his game and can get the job done in a snap. He is a problem solver and knows how do get you the most out of your budget. I would recommend this building supply store, Lowe's on Dallas Highway, to anyone that needs any home building products or appliances, plumbing, outdoor supplies and gardening equipment. Horrific customer service. On my fourth try to get an appliance delivery done correctly. I get automated messages saying will be delivered between certain hours and then the next day I get delivery calls saying they are 5 minutes away 6 or 7 hours away from scheduled delivery time. Still waiting on my new fridge after 4 errors so far. Missed time at work trying to be there when delivery times were promised. read more

I went to this store on Black Friday after visiting the HD just down the road. What a contrast! At this Lowes there was little to no indication that a holiday was anywhere in sight. The employees were sparse and too busy talking to each other to offer any assistance to me. Except one guy I kept running into in several areas of the store. He was friendly and offered to help. I wish I had gotten his name. Other employees must have also been firefighters cause it seemed they were on the way to a fire and I almost had to be rude to even ask a brief question. I bought a Bosch dish washer to replace a Maytag that the door release broke. I paid upfront for installation on Jan.1. I bought it there because I usually like Lowes and they had the dishwasher in stock. HomeDepot did not. Scheduling was to call within 72 hrs. to schedule it, but didn't. I called them and the guy was really nice and got it scheduled for the 8th. It had to be done by the 10th. AGS Installations came out on time for delivery. The two delivery guys were extremely nice. The cut off valve is below the dishwasher a floor down in the open basement. They called their boss who said the valve had to be below the sink next to the dishwasher. He also said it looked like it had a crimped supply line, which it does not. They wouldn't install it. Said it needed another shut off valve and they couldn't do that. They said it was for liability concerns. There is no distance requirement for a shut off valve for dishwashers in the UCC Plumbing code, the Lowes contract for installation holds them harmless for any faulty work or installation issues. That probably wouldn't hold up on legal review, but that's not the issue. The Lowes "information to be ready for the installation" web page says for refrigerators a cutoff valve must be within 6 ft. of the refrigerator. No distance or location requirement for dishwashers. Everything was ready for them as requested. Lowes could only refund my money. I don't mind washing some dishes, but time on this was of the essence for other reasons. So now my dishwasher is in the garage waiting for me to find a plumber who will have to install it since AGS Installations will not. It'll be at least another 10 days before it will get done, when I find a plumber to do it. I like Lowes. I like their selection and in past their service. They did a lot of work for me on my last house including appliances, tile, backsplashes, downdraft, etc. Did fine work. The installer this time, well, I won't bother looking at Lowes for any more appliances. Lowes you really should do something about this installer. Not even on Yelp. read more

Although I do prefer Lowes over Home Depot, I am becoming extremely agitated with the lack of employee knowledge about the products they sell. Several times my husband and I have inquired about different items and their location and we were told they didn't sell that particular item.
