Lowe's fucked us every witch way. Just bought a house, got a new washer/dryer from them then on my honeymoon they call and say they don't actually have the washer, had to cancel the order and re order it but this time I didn't get Labor Day discount... whatever. Then the delivery team comes with the wrong hook ups. Okay, so I hook up myself. Go to use washer for the first time and it doesn't work. It's stuck on sensor and I've messed with it for far too long called Lowe's and they said because I didn't buy the ridiculous warranty they can't do anything about it. I responded with "so you tell me you guys are okay with dropping off a broken washer?" She then explains how I don't have the warranty... no shit, thanks a lot. read more

2 things--made order on flooring. Went in to pay, the order was completely wrong, never even picked that wood flooring plus the total amount went up $200.00 from 2 days earlier from what was given to me. I canceled the order. Plus when I went in to cancel order my daughter was in her car in front of the doors a man approached her demanding her money. Out of fear she had $15.00 which he saw and he grabbed it. We went in talked to Ashley the manager she said nothing she can do. She did not call police or looked up on camera on who it was. All she can do is tell them to vacate the property. The Lowes store in McMinnville isn't a bad store, it's just...meh. Hard to find any help (like everywhere) a bit off the beaten path (not too bad) but where they really are failing is their garden/seasonal department which compares poorly to Home Depot. read more

Store manager CHRISTINA BLACK was very rude. She was paged by another employee to the customer service counter where I needed assistance. She approached the counter, looked at me, & said "what"? I responded, prepared to tell her that I was there on behalf of a local grade school sports team that was hoping for a 5 gallon bucket of paint donation. I didn't even get seconds into what I needed to say before she cut me off & said "what's the point? Get to the point". I asked her who I needed to speak to, to formally complain about her lack of customer service and her response was "you're looking at her". I then asked if there was a phone number or an email address where I could get in contact with someone and her response was " 1-800-Lowes" which isn't even a real phone number including enough digits. All the staff has gotten to know me very well. However just a few months ago I saw shopping for myself, buying a new kitchen faucet w/pull out sprayer and a couple bathroom faucets. I was browsing the selection of kitchen faucets and pulling the spray wand out to check stifnis, rigidity, ECT. I enjoyed the ones with the spring on the outside , they have a commercial look to them. So I grabbed the pull out and gently pulled when all the sudden the whole display came crashing down at my chest. (7) Different faucets on. Single slab of granite came down on top of my chest and pinned me to the ground. I had been holding (2) smaller boxes in my left arm and trying to move away I ended up putting them in front of myself to block the falling faucets. The magnetic arm that is adjacent to the faucet that hold the sprayer cane piercing through the two boxes and into my chest so hard it still broke the skin and ultimately left a horrible bruise i gathered myself enough to get out from under it and looked around I saw noone so I went to the next isle. There were 3 Lowe's employees one being the night manager or assistant manager named ki I yelled out to them what happened and they emeidiarly dropped what they were doing and came running. The night manager in the chaos had asked if I needed medical he would call 911. I said no no, not to bother it's just a small scratch not bad enough for emergency crews. I filled out a proper form I was given and took a picture of it. I was told by the manager that I should hear from Lowe's within the next few days well a week went by and no call so I reached out to corporate, they knew nothing .. I reached out to the store only to find ki has been transfered and they also knew nothing I called corporate every day for a week after and finally got someone to listen they then told the store manager to have a word with me. Here's the thing, she being Christina says she never saw an incident report, there's no file of it ever happening and she's not aware of the transfer and would get back to me. Another week goes by so I call corporate again. I find out they haven't even been keeping a log of my call history. Then I received a call from the manager yet again stating they were unable To believe that this had happened and I was only trying to receive money from them. I then reached out to corporate again. Fast forward to 2 years later and I've still not gotten a call from the corporate level and the worst part is that I had expressed my displeased attempts to get anything done as the display was sat right back up the way it was. I've continued to complain and have t heard anything except now that it's been this long if I wanted to sue them to now tech them a lesson the statute of limitations has all but run out and fast forward to today, the display has all been completely changed to single faucets in their own square of fake stone and still have yet to get a call from corporate. There's definitely a video feed and recording as the monitor was right there recording the entire time and I have a picture of the Lowe's night manager holding the incident report with our signatures so, please don't forget I'm waiting BUT DEFINITELY NOT HOLDING MY BREATH. lol. read more

Had a rewarding and fun experience at Lowe's McMinnville, OR today. I've been looking for a product no one seemed to know existed, they're called, "Wood Shims." Having given up on ever finding them again I was in the hardware department and a floor man walked by mentioning to a colleague, "If it's in this store, I can locate it!" Turning toward him, I said, "Oh, you can!?" He laughed, "Don't hold me to that, but give me a try!" So, I did, just described them--and, he did! More than enough employees in the store but absolutely NO ONE will check you out. Not one check stand was open. The "self service" line was open with only one person to assist. NOT good. The "Customer Service" area had several employees going in and out of the area, but they refused to help customers waiting. One employee finally did come to the desk and seemed rather "put out" that he had to help the first person in line. One customer walked out. Shortly thereafter, my husband and I walked out leaving a basket full of items in front of customer service. AND I understand there would be a fee for doing this and I was fine with that. I go there I find the guy who cuts and guess what? This location is usually never crowded and extremely well stocked with all kinds of household needs to include cleaning supplies as well as toilets, plants, lumber, you name this place has got it. I shopped for plants for my place in four places and this was the worst most expensive and nastiest places of all. Also all the other place gave me box trays to carry my plants in but not this stink hole. With one hand it was hard to get them into my vehicle. I don't shop here at all much anymore. their prices are way to nasty and the help is not available at all. People is you want great plants go to Bi Mart or Kraemers. Bi Mart cheapest and lots. My partner and I recently moved to the Central Oregon coast, from the metropolitan area of Portland, and had some difficulty finding affordable window treatments. Since we had good experiences with Home Depot, we tried stores in Tigard as well as Salem. But, alas, since our home is more than 25 miles from the store, Home Depot was unwilling to either send someone out to measure or to install. The nice HD sales person said she had lost many sales because of that policy. HD needs to learn about customer service! Since McMinnville has a Lowe's outlet, which is about 40 or 50 miles away, we thought we would given it a try. To our surprise (after our HD experience), Lowe's had no problem with our home being an hour away from the store. For a small fee, tied to some extra miles beyond a maximum for which there is no charge, our windows were measured and later installed. We found the Lowe's employees very easy to work with. The window treatments arrived on schedule, look great, and were much more affordable than if he had ordered from Budget Blinds at the coast. We strongly recommend the McMinnville Lowe's! read more

The tracking information only stated 'shipped'. I called the McMinville lowes and was on hold literally for over an hour. I and my girlfriend went to Lowe's knowing that there will be no customer assistance and I was right. We were there to buy 10 bags of pea gravel to finish a paving project. When I got there I requested assistance transferring bags of pea gravel to a dolly to bring to the car and load in the back of the SUV. Many calls went out for assistance and NO ONE EVER CAME TO HELP. Lowe's by far has the worst staffing I have ever seen. I told my girlfriend that Home Depot is a much better place to receive customer service assistance and after today she is a firm believer. We will never shop at Lowe's again if the need for customer assistance is needed. Home Depot is a much better staffed organization. If you have a sample of what you want, they ask what brand of staple gun you have. Doesn't matter. The staple size is what I need and had a sample in hand. When we get up to the register (after waiting in line) was told we had to go through the help desk. So again we waited and waited in line. They overall friendliness of this store was not good. I purchased a new washing machine from Lowe's a month ago.. When it was installed, the balance was never calibrated so when it spins it jumps all over the placeand doesn't drain properly. After being on the phone for two hours yesterday I learned: a. Lowe's doesn't service what they sell. They wanted to refer me to a local repairman who took 7 months to repair my 3-year-old machine before he called and said he couldn't fix it. b. A woman told me that she would try to find someone to walk me through the problem so I could fix it myself! I am 79 years old! c. Someone is coming on Sunday to take back my machine. I also learned never to buy a Maytag. The warranty doesn't extend to the seller, but is farmed out to someone not involved in the sale so why take responsibility for what you sell. d. All-in-all I spoke to three people yesterday (one was in marketing!) and three today. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I will never shop at Lowe's again and look to read Lowe's is following Sears and Penney's into oblivion. When the closures come I hope McMinnville's store is number 1 on the list. read more

On 7/27 I ordered two patio chairs from McMinnville Lowe's. I got an confirmation email with a delivery date of 8/11. On 8/5 I got a phone call saying they had the order ready to go, but they can't deliver to Washington. I asked if they'd send it to a Lowe's in Portland and I could pick them up there. I was told they would not. I asked for a manager and was told he would ship them via UPS. I got email today saying they don't have the chairs, and apparently never did. I am rating my experiences at this Lowe's store because I read all these extremely negative comments. I just moved to the area on a part-time basis six months ago and I zip up to Lowe's anytime I need anything that I haven't ordered from Home Depot for delivery. My experience has been this: most everything I want I find there, and the people who work there have been helpful but obviously a little overworked and frankly that's been my experience since Covid in almost every industry. I think a lot of people have been hired that don't have a lot of experience but it's a good opportunity for young people to learn. I might've felt differently if I hadn't had a person who works in the pro department casually ask me if I needed any help even though it wasn't his department which was the paint department. I actually did need advice because I was painting cabinetry a very specialized product. This gentleman whose name alludes me know was extremely helpful - he had done the whole process personally before. I followed his tips to a T and my project came out beautifully, in fact I think better than I could havr hoped for! I will keep shopping there. read more

If I could only rate these people zero stars. DO NOT USE LOWE'S to install anything. I've had three experiences with them,...all bad. First was a door replacement on a house I sold five months ago. The door was ordered 9 months ago and I just received a message yesterday that they wanted to come out and install. We'll skip the second bad install because it's minor, but still not acceptable. Lastly I ordered a Kitchen Aid range/oven on the first of November. They had 31 coming in on a stock order. I was told I couldn't order one until they came in. So I followed up near the end of November,....ha, they came in and were all sold. Then I tried to order the same range/oven off the floor in a display. They looked at it and because it had a bent bracket, they gave me 40% off. YAY. I ordered one and then got plugged into their installer,...three weeks later he showed up with a new range/oven, no bent bracket one and I still got the 40% off price.....he installed it and smoke came pouring out of it. Called the store they said they would replace it,...back into the weeks long installer's schedule. He came out to install and same problem, smoke pouring out of the oven. No more with the Kitchen Aid, I requested a replacement. Fast forward, numerous calls to their install center and visits to the appliance dept at the store. It's now the first of March,...no range/oven yet. These people are BAD. Lousy customer service, promised phone calls that were not received. If it were possible to get my money back I would do it in a second. read more

To placate my mom, before we went to Kraemer's, we went to Lowes. We were looking for clematis, our Mother's Day gift. Having been up & down all the aisles, had to go looking for someone to help us. After finding 1, even though he was conducting business with someone else, I interrupted to ask where might a person find 1 of these plants, he looked at me with a very serious face & said "they would be outside & if not we don't have any"! Well no s*@t, was on the very tip of my tongue. Almost had to hold my breath to keep that from coming out!!!! Went to Kraemer's, which I visited prior to taking her there. Not only did they have a few that she'd never seen before, the prices were very reasonable considering the health of them. It is Lowe's...so it is your typical chain hardware store. I have been here several times and they have always had what I needed and I do love that they give military discounts. They have a pretty good garden section but they do sell out quickly of the "good" plants as it is Oregon and lots of people garden here. I was just informed by one of their Managers, Sean, that a $200 gift card they sold me specifically with the promise that it can be returned if it's not what the gifted wanted, can not actually be refunded. This is despite the explicit promise of the Lowe's employee who sold it, and me having the card in its original form (access number still covered) as well as the paperwork of the purchase. I made him look up who the seller was so that I can file a complaint and all he could tell me is that the person doesn't work here any more. No solution whatsoever and Lowe's does not stand behind their own error. Won't you expect them to take responsibility for promises and sales made by their employees? I would. The customer service here has always been very hit and miss but today took the cake. I simply tried to call to confirm they carry a replacement lawnmower blade for my mower. My phone transferring experience was not unlike the Frodo's journey in Lord of the rings. Then someone answered and I explained what had been going on. I was then placed on hold and after another full 7 minutes of the worst hold music I have ever experienced, I gave up. We hired them in July 2020 to replace windows on our home and they were completely incompetent. They had to reorder multiple times. It took until February 2021 to complete the job. They require 100% of the cost upfront and they don't care about getting the job completed in a timely manner because they already got paid. Today, I had a disappointing experience with McMinnville Lowe's employee regarding returning a broken tool (craftsman, with lifetime warranty) for a replacement. After studying the tools in the carrying device they were purchased in, the employee demanded I show him a receipt. WHAT??? you sell Craftsman tools and you want a receipt? Like I'm going to save every receipt for every little thing I purchase, just in case something might break... He just brushed me off , "No receipt, no exchange." I was fuming by then and insisted he call his manager. He picked up a phone, pushed a couple digits, then hung up the phone and turned his back on me, walked about 5 steps and started having a conversation with another employee. Obviously, I wasn't going to get customer service from this location. I guess the big box stores don't care to promote customer service for the small buyer. But then again I recall reading a rant regarding taking their dog to the breeder to get "serviced." I guess that's what happened to me. With that attitude, they'll dwindle and die, for sure, and dog-gonnit, that won't happen soon enough in my book. The big merchants come to town, put the local businesses out of business, then mistreat the customers. I drove out to Wilco farm store and purchased my T-40 socket replacement for $4.79. Stood there for 40 minutes while being the first in line at the counter to just pick up a stove. Employees walked away from me when I asked for help. Told me they don't know where me item is and that they don't have anyone to look and it will be awhile. Two employees even said they wouldn't go back to get my receipt so I could check out I was told to have a seat while other people that came in after me where helped. For a giant home store this place isn't all that bad. The staff, though sometimes hard to find, is always helpful. They have always tried to help me fix what I got going. The garden center isn't bad, and sometimes has discount plants. They also always have a checker out there. Returns have been no problem. I imagine if you ranked all the Lowe's in the country this one would be in the top 10 percentile in terms of ease of shopping and helpful staff. I will shop here again. read more
