Store inventory, selection pricing is good. Thats where it ends. Disorganized staff good luck with a return. Thats 45 minutes of your life that you will never get back. Asked an employee for a lumber cart, but there were none. They were all full of store items waiting to get stocked. I ended up balancing a stack of 8ft planks on a shopping cart and did a balancing act to the pro check out. After paying I was not asked if I needed help to take to vehicle. I had planed to load truck in front loading area , but it was blocked with forklifts on both ends. I ended up getting injured when planks fell off cart in parking lot . This place is your typical hardware store, nothing special except that there is hardly ever anyone around to help you. This is the second time I come here waiting around even going as far as having someone from a neighboring department call the person assigned to the tile department and no one ever came. This place is a joke when it comes to customer service. When you place an order online you have to call a 800 number for service. They blame the fulfillment center and direct you to the store. I called the store and was the dinner was again pointed at the fulfillment center. I asked to have a regional supervisor call me and 5 days later, nothing. I them filled a complaint with the on line service center and was told that someone would contact me in 48 hours, still nothing. I was not happy - it's as though they want to go out of business but really don't care. Like a blind man trying to drive, they can't figure out what they're doing. They are never available when I call; They missed my delivery twice and when they came, the driver called me offensive names and was aggressive. I didn't order a drill sergeant! Service needs work with cashiers. We bought $1000 worth of roofing sealant. 2 trips. Tues 8-28-17. Checked out by pro services. Second time around 530pm associate was on phone, seemed bored and lazy. Called someone to help me but didnt come so i lifted all 6 more 5 gallons by myself. Then asked to car i wasnt confident she said someone would help so i lifted by myself in trunk and a customer saw and assisted me. I have been a Lowes customers since the opened this store. I have always shopped with confidence that I can return any unused product I buy. Now the store has a new manager that is strictly following the return policy of 90. I buy thousands of dollars from them every year and what I return is probably 2% of what I buy. They don't care! Not smart business people I guess. Now, I will take 100% of my business to Home Depot. Home Depot gives you a full year to return items that you don't need. That gives me peace of mind to buy extra items that I might need to finish a job and return them if I don't use them. No brainer! read more

After arriving to the door department and noticing no employee present at desk I pressed the help button. No one approached me for 5 minutes. Employee who finally arrives tells me it's not her department but will get me the right person. After another 5 minutes returns to inform me that only employee that can help me is on break indicating that she will send me someone else. About another 10 minutes of waiting before he comes to help. Once I tell him what help I need he informs me he doesn't have access to help me and will get me the "right person" another 5 minutes to come back and tel me no one is available but that "he saw someone who should be able to help me" another 5 minutes of calling over PA to said employee. After the total of 30 minutes of waiting he tells me no one can help me and that only person that can won't be back for an hour. I did a kitchen design and floor with Lowes. Never again. They took my money in full. Was told it would take 12 weeks. The job was supposed to be completed on August 5th. Started in April still waiting in November. Made lists had the store at my house to fix the problems and finish the job. Nothing, I Had to hire a plumber and a handyman to fix problems the contractor they hired (Sun Eagle contracting). did. Like installing faucets incorrectly, installing a dishwasher incorrectly that it leaked water all over the new kitchen. Electrical work done incorrectly. Painting done in the dark because they would put in lights first and would show up for work at 3pm if they showed up for work at all. Would call and call and nothing. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. I just had the worst customer service at the store located at 9191 SW 137 Ave in Miami, Florida by the manager named Ramiro (no last name given). I went to get a battery powered Craftsman blower that the display had the sticker price of $44 . When they rang it up it rang up for $89. I brought the display to the register to show the cashier that it was the same unit and it wasn't my fault they had put the incorrect sticker price on it. She called the "manager", Ramiro, who simply said that was not the correct price and he would not honor it although it was the store's error. What he should have done is adjusted the price and then removed the sticker price THEY had put on the display item and put the correct sticker price. On March 8th I called the Lowe's in Kendall because I wanted to purchase an exterior door that I need and wanted them to install it. I was transferred to their installation line. I told the representative the item and model numbers of the door that I wanted, along with the measurements. We agreed on an estimate appointment for March 19th between 9 am and 10 am. A female called me earlier this week to confirm the appointment. I explained to her the same information about the door that I want, where it is to go (a covered, exterior door, on the balcony). By 11:20 am, nobody called me, nobody arrived. I called and told the representative what had happened, and not happened, so far. He was going to look into it. At 2:02 pm, I received a call and repeated my story. I was told that when they called to confirm with me, I had not answered. I explained that I HAD answered and had spoken to a female that confirmed my appointment. This gentleman told me that he was at the store and was going to look at the door there, in stock, get me a written estimate, and e-mail it to me. I called back at 4 pm and left a message. Still, no call back and nobody showed up. This is no way to run a business--that you want to prosper and not fail. Very unprofessional. read more

We have been to this store approximately 9 times in the past two weeks. Prior to this we'd visit occasionally for the odds and ends of homeowner life. Anything to avoid grimy sketchy Home Depot. This store is just stupid. That is basically the best word to define the entirety of our experience here. But, I will provide detailed specific experiences, with products, employees and their overall crappy customer service skills. 1. My card declined. Hey, my bank actually paid attention to a $650 charge which I don't regularly do. The cashier proceeds to tell everyone in line he cant help them because I need to call the bank. Yes. By the way the " Store Manager" is walking in and out of his little office not even noticing the 10 people in line on a Tuesday night. Lowe's must be the place to be on a Tuesday at 8pm in Kendall. 2. The tile guys were found in the JC Penny home store. I don't understand how they can't find tile even though their system states there are 419 boxes. WHERE COULD THEY BE? That's a palate of tile!! The other tile guy, after walking past me twice, obvi seeing me struggle with the 10 thousand pound tile boxes..only came when summoned. After I place half a box on the damn cart. I mean, the box clearly states team lift and all that jazz. I get it, don't carry that sh*t. I must've looked like a beast that day since he thought I could lift all by my lonesome. When we finally drags his little feet over, he starts reviewing aaall the tiles. He then mentions that the tiles are cracked. Little dude was insinuating that I cracked them. 1000LB TILES DUDE? Really. 3. We bought a sealed faucet that was missing pieces. The Customer Service people made us..get a new one, return the old one and purchase the new one. W.T.F. Ok, crazy policy I think. They're just stupid.They put the damn box to be restocked. RESTOCKED for some other dumbass to buy it. 4. bought a toilet. Apparently it was cracked at the base. Didn't know it was so easy to crack a toilet that is designed to hold 500lbs of ass. SO, my poor bathroom guy goes to return it (not ME, duh, can't carry 10000lb toilet) they refuse to let him exchange it. He gets Hispanic pissed like us Hispanics do and leaves. Hubs goes the next day to buy another toilet...the cracked toilet is there stocked for sale..How do we know it was ours? My cat loves boxes. I waited and the day of delivery they showed up with the washer and dryer however the washer was a beat up floor sample with no manual or the needed hoses to connect it. Called the store and was given 800 excuses and no washer. This is not the first time this happens it happened with a barbecue a few months ago and I thought I would give them another try. We waited 15 minutes at the wood cutting station after pushing the need help button and overheard the, "customer needs assistance" call many, many times over. We walked down to the nearest helpdesk and the lady told us that all the lumber people were gone for the day and someone at the hardware counter could possibly help. So we walk over to the hardware counter and no one is there, so the next closest department, and after looking around, we spot a coworker in the flooring department. He tells us that he cant help us and knows nothing about lumber and proceeds to walk away from us and refused to even try and find someone that would be able to answer a simple question. We walked out deciding that we werent going to buy any wood or the plants that we had planned on purchasing. Im going back to the Depot, maybe I can actually find people who want you to find what your looking for and spend money there, since youre more likely to get good service. This is possibly the WORST Lowe's I have ever shopped at and I have been a Lowe's fan for 15+ years. So disorganized and mismanaged. Nobody ever answers the phones in departments. The phone rings and rings or you're put on hold never to hear from anyone again. You have to wait 20 or 30 minutes to get help because they are so understaffed. They have messed my special order up four times and I still don't have all my items almost 2 months later. I cancelled half my order went to Home Depot and got the items delivered within a week! Never going back to Lowe's. Home Depot just got a new loyal customer. The manager at this location needs to be fired or maybe the entire company restructured. It's that bad. One star is generous. We ordered (and paid 100% for) a ThermaTru pre-hung custom front door with sidelights from Lowes Feb 28 2019. I found out it was sitting in Lowes store for several weeks and they had yet to apply for the permit. Permit was issued on April 9th. Installation took until May 8th to schedule. May 7th they had a third party deliver the door; no sidelights. I asked the driver about it and he said "we only deliver and it's not on the order". Clearly the sticker on the door said "1 of 3" but no one at Lowes bothered to check that everything was there. I had to call Lowes and pitch a fit to get them to go check on the missing 2 sidelights. Low and behold they found them in the back of the store. Enter the installer's - they came as promised on May 8th and proceeded to install the door but noticed during the install that the sidelights were manufactured with the glass inserts inside/out. "These won't pass inspection as they are incorrect". "We will notify Lowes of the issues". Despite Lowes having the doors/sidelights for over 30-days - no one in the store noted they were manufactured incorrectly. 1-week later and nothing from Lowes. I started calling their installation department daily to get answers about when they would be fixed. Only "I'll check and call you back." I finally decided to go directly into the store and talk to a manager in the installation department. She was rather matter of fact about the whole scenario - "it's our distributor that has to fix it, not us". I guess I should have purchased it from their distributor too. SO (big sigh here), the distributor's installer comes May 22nd to fix it and everything is going swimmingly until the final sidelight and then it gets cracked in the process of reinstalling it in the sidelight. "we will have a new glass tomorrow 23 May from Orlando". Guess what - it didn't make it from Orlando, so now "it's next week". We still have to get it replaced, city inspected and then final installation tweaking; at this rate, it will be mid-June before it's all done. PLEASE - if you are considering a special order door from Lowes in Estero, you REALLY need to reconsider and go to a place that specializes in doors and windows, go to Home Depot (They now sell ThermaTru (wonder why)?), or you could easily find yourself in this same mess. We have been Lowes customers since 1997 - spent close to $100K (remodeled two house, appliances, etc.). We just became Home Depot or any place but Lowes customers. Lowes - if you read this and want to challenge any part of it, I welcome that opportunity. Frankly, I doubt they care. I suspect this is all indicative of why they are closing stores. read more

This Lowe's never disappoints. The store is clean and the employees are friendly. Kenneth in paint was nice, friendly and helpful. Once we were ready, he was attending to another customer and referred us to his coworker, Jamal. Now, he was super dry and not friendly but still served. Luis on the other hand in the fan section, was incredibly helpful and spoke so well about the products. He was knowledgable and incredibly helpful in aiding us to pick the best fan for our needs.
