I was in Lowe's on Daniel Webster Highway a few days ago to look for a 5/8 inch rachet socket. Todd, one of the associates was in the vicinity and I asked if he could help me look. He told me it wasn't his department but he could help me find what I was looking for. He started looking on one end of the tool isle and I went around the corner of that same isle to see if there were more rachet items on the end cap. There was nothing there so I went back to look in the same area that Todd was looking. Unfortunately when I went back Todd was already half way down the hardware isle heading to the back of the store!!!! That's the kind of customer service that is going to have me shopping at Home Depot!!!!! read more

do NOT buy an appliance here if you want installation and delivery. Lowes contracts out these services to a third party called CRST Home Solutions who then contracts out the service to another third party. The end result is your appliance never gets installed or delivered and if you have any issues you cant directly reach out to anyone and get a solution. I dont think its specific to this Lowes, its a corporate thing. I wish I could give a better review of this Lowes, but this is my only experience with them and they are complicit for outsourcing and hiring such a terrible company. read more

Ordered a stackable washer and dryer. I did this in store to make sure I was buying everything necessary. They delivery window kept changing and wife was forced to take entire day off of work to receive delivery. Upon delivery, one of the guys told my wife that we failed to buy the hardware to stack the washer and dryer. When I showed him we had indeed paid for the stacking kit, he admitted they had forgot to load it on the truck. I told them to take it all back because it is no good to me without being stacked. that was the entire point of paying them to deliver and assemble. He had a manager call me and assure me that they would be back out at 4:30 the following day to complete. I called at noon to verify they would be out to finish, and i was told they had no plan on coming out (even though it was in the notes) and was unsure when they would be able to. The most infuriating part of this, Lowe's said they could come out the next day day to pick up the washer and dryer.....but couldn't come out for 3-5 to bring the stacking bracket. Okay. I can't believe I've been back in NH for over a year now and haven't talked about this place yet. But we'll talk about it today. And I gotta say....there's not much to say about Lowe's, really. When it comes to traditional chains such as these, the list of things I care about is a short one. Basically, it all amounts to.. 1.) Is their pickup service quick and accessible? 2.) Do they embed their Veteran discount into the digital transaction process? And that's it. Basically when it comes to places like Lowe's, Sam's Club, Walmart, Target, all of which have a propensity for being crowded as f*#k, I like to plan my expeditious escape accordingly. All I wanna do is place my order online, have it picked up or delivered with minimal human contact, and be on my merry way. This Lowe's has all that down, to include optional locker pickup. Now, my one complaint would be the same as with most places such as these and that's....the inventory. For example, I was recently in the market for a new propane tank. At the time, I thought I wanted a prefilled tank until I went with their way-easier-to-obtain empty one. Understandably, you can't buy a prefilled tank online. You have to pick those up in person for safety reasons. Except....I get to the store after confirming via their website that these were, indeed, in stock...only to not find them anywhere on the shelf. My guess is you have to painstakingly ask for a rep to maybe dig in the back of their storage room somewhere and rise from the depths of hell with your newly prefilled propane tank. But as they say on the street, "ain't nobody got time for dat". So, I went with the empty one and had it filled at another location. That's actually the easiest, cheapest way to go about this. Oh, I also appreciate the fact this location has Veteran's parking, even though I never use it. Any business that goes out of their way to support Veterans automatically gets extra kudos in my book. What I like about Lowes is that unlike Home Depot you don't feel like you're in a warehouse, it feels like a regular store. I have had much better luck buying big ticket appliances from Lowe's than I have from HD also. The prices are better. I needed a new dryer last month and I went online to Lowes and it was delivered 2 days later. Home Depot is a 3 week wait. read more

Bought a fridge there almost 2 yrs ago. Signed a service agreement with them. BIG MISTAKE. I have a minor issue with the freezer, so I've been trying to get service. The first company was useless. The guy didn't help. Didn't show up a few times. Just had another appt. that I mistakenly canceled...because #2 typically means "no". Well, with Sears Home Service, it mean "yes" so I canceled my appt. by pressing "2". I guess I should've waited for the recording all the way through, but when you're on the phone FOREVER, you don't wait for the prompts. Can't get another appt. Lowe's was supposed to call me today. Didn't. I called them. Now, I'm waiting for someone else from another vendor to call me. NOT holding my breath. Was also told "you had an appt for Oct. 23, but it was rejected". SERIOUSLY? I asked why; the rep said there was no reason in the system. HUH? So glad I don't have a major issue...like water all over the floor or freezer/fridge not working because I don't know what I would do. NEVER sign a service agreement with big box stores. This place is ridiculously understaffed. I was there mid day on a Saturday. The parking lot was full and they only had one cashier working. I realized I wanted something after I went through the line, but I didn't feel like waiting in the line again, so I didn't get it. This is pretty common for them. No one answers the phone either. I purchased a dryer a couple of months ago it came very quickly however the delivery guys did a terrible job one stayed outside listening to music and the other one came in with my dryer by himself with all the packaging still on and destroyed two of my door frames and scraped up my walls if he would have taken everything off outside and then came in he would have had plenty of room to do so I've tried calling the company numerous times in hopes they would put in a claim and handle the situation but they have not done so shame on a multi-million dollar company I guess I should recommend Best buy never have I had an issue like this before with other companies I'm hoping if I put enough bad reviews up they will actually handle the situation properly read more

We went to pick up a storage cabinet that my wife ordered online, when starting to build it, surprisingly the was 2 left side panels so I had to go back and I was helped, they opened a box and gave me the missing side, once the cabinet was complete, there was no back panel so I had to go to Lowe's Lowell again after 45 minutes waiting the was no panel, I was asked if it was ok with a piece cut with the same dimensions and I said ok that would work so I waited again but they did not have a person that can cut the piece, so I was asked if I can leave my phone # so they would call me the next day to pick up the cut piece. No phone call!!! My wife called a day after they were supposed to call and a manager said that he piece was ready, my wife said that we would be there to pick it up on wednesday (my day off) once in Lowe's no one had a clue about the issue, a bunch of kids running around I was told since they did not have the back piece I can return the cabinet (built in my second floor) and they would refund the money. I had to call the 1800 # and talk to 2 representatives, to finally get a confirmation number and that the back panel would be delivered by ups within 7 to 10 business days. 4 Trips to the store for cabinet, giving me a refund does not solve the problem and just frustrated me more, won't be going to Lowe's after this one. read more

I've been here three times, and was disappointed by the staff twice. Both times I happened to be buying something that was out of stock, so they sold me a floor model. Both times they were missing pieces and tried to sell me the parts that were missing. I tried to purchase a garden tractor for 4k from this location. After searching what I needed I found the store with in stock listings. Called customer service to confirm then drove an hour with trailer to bring it home. I can look past the fact that no one there knows anything about the mower, or even has the time to talk to me about, I did my own research and was not expecting the level of service one would expect from a dealer. However when I got there they didn't actually have it. They stated they should have 2 , but they really only have one with a flat tire and they cannot find the other one. Ironically hours later they still have 2 in stock and if you call customer service they will say there are 2 there. This will be the last time I try to buy something from Lowes, I have had multiple issues with appliances from them over the years and every time I overlook it and go back I just get burned again and again. I was greeted at the door when I walked it. The store was clean and brightly lit. I could not find what I was looking for in the lighting department and asked for help. The man walked me over 6 isles away from his station to where the product was and stood there helping me choose the one I wanted. There were a few people in line at the checkouts and I figured it would be a while, however the woman at the service desk called me over and quickly got me on my way. Just left the most infuriating Lowe's that exists. My mother just bought a new condo and we expected a better experience at Lowe's. Went on Thursday to inquire about a broken blind that we knew was under warranty. No one was at the blind station. I finally tracked down an employee... who couldn't help us. She called another employee. He took his time showing up. It would have been better if he never showed up. He was rude and short with my mother. While I was on the phone with the blind customer service center (who was way more helpful than the person In front of me) he left to send someone else over because he didn't know how to order blinds... we went to Home Depot. They were kind and helpful and directed us to where we needed to go. We should have stopped while we were ahead. We returned to Lowe's the next day for paint and primer. We are trying to cover a dark orange wall. My mother was told by painters to get gray primer. Maybe that was incorrect advice. However the two men working the counter were two of the most condescending jerks I have ever met. Each time my mother spoke the older man working with us just smirked at her like everything she was saying was the dumbest thing he'd ever heard. The second man there was almost helpful directing her to the tinted primer he thought she needed, however when my mom tried to show him a picture he said "I don't want to get into your project" I thought that was his job... We finally got hopefully what we needed. We thought the terrible trip was over, but then we we went to check out. We decided to do self check out. The scanner prompted us to scan the paint can and then the specialized code on top. The scanner also showed me a video of exactly what to do. It wasn't working. The lady in charge of the station yelled "it doesn't work like that" and I yelled back "I'm doing what it's telling me to do." Huffily she came over and did what she needed to. We are done with Lowe's. We will happily go two more miles down the road to Home Depot where we aren't mocked. read more

Went to the Nashua Garden Center on Daniel Webster. They have great sales on plants but since I have a bad shoulder, Im not able to lift or carry much. As I stood there frustrated & contemplating what to do, an employee "Kyle" came by and asked me if I needed any help. I told him I needed help lifting a bag of soil and some plants onto my cart. He told me no problem. He lifted the heavy bag & plants I wanted onto the cart and even pushed it to the front register for me. I paid and he told me to go get my car and pull it up and he would load them into my car. If it hadnt been for Kyles helpfulness I would have never been able to make my purchase. He was so helpful and friendly and I left there relieved I was able to buy what I did. read more

Do not buy an appliance from this store (or order one online from Lowes if you live in their delivery radius) They use xpo and xpo uses incompetent personnel. I ordered one appliance and they ruined my hot water heater. It was a painful and embarrassing process to get the heater fixed. When it came time to get a washing machine I thought "hey, it's not going to happen again." Boy was I wrong. They screwed up the installation- a washing machine is a simple installation - and caused hundreds of dollars worth of water damage. Went through another embarrassing claim process. I spent weeks trying to speak to someone from Lowes - I was constantly promised I would get a call back - no calls back. When I finally got a supervisor on the line from Lowes, they did not apologize or sympathize and simply said it wasnt their fault. Their cost cutting third party vendor, and their complete disregard to pretend to treat me as a human being/valued customer, cost them my business. I usually go to Home Depot, but got let down by the fact that HD closed at 9 and I was trying to pick up some stuff. So I did a quick check online and found that Lowe's was open until 10. Once inside I found it much cleaner and better organized than HD which was nice. The prices were pretty much the same although the selection was a bit different. I found it less geared to contractors and more geared towards regular individuals. So when buying lumber or construction materials HD is probably still a much better choice, but when going for appliances, fixtures or things like that Lowe's seems superior. I also liked that their return policy was much simpler and easier than HD. So instead of having to pick which shower head I thought I liked better in the store I just bought the 2 I was having issues deciding between and bought them both. That way I can try each one out at home and return the one I don't like as much. read more

Had three (3) windows installed on my house and they all look great! My only advice is to get a couple of quotes regarding the cost of installation--they are on the upper end of the price range (after-the-fact research). Also, from my experience, they pushed a specific brand of windows; I'm sure this is related to either commissions or a similar reward/achievement based initiative. Other than that, they work quickly, employ honest individuals, and the quality of work speaks for itself. Cost aside, I would definitely recommended them! read more

Can I give zero stars? Maybe negative stars? We ordered fencing online weeks ago that was scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. We called 2 days ago to make sure it was all set and arriving on schedule. Pulled down the old fence and arranged help to put the new one up. They called today (24 hours before scheduled delivery) to say that not only was the delivery not coming, but they had no fencing available. The woman could not give us an answer as to why we were able to order or why it was confirmed just this week. She was rude, literally laughed at our frustration, wouldnt give us her name, and then when we asked to speak to a manager she hung up on us. We bought a bunch of appliances in September, dropped a few thousand dollars. Half of them came, and 5 months later, no sign of the other half. They would call occasionally, saying it was going to "come tomorrow," but then the day would come and nothing would happen, or we'd get a call saying, "Sorry, that was a mistake, it's not coming tomorrow after all." Finally called to find out what the hell was going on, and a woman laughed and said, and I quote: "If you haven't gotten them by now, they're not coming. They were never going to come." She thought it was hilarious. She then promised a manager would process my return for the items later that day. And THAT never happened! Just spoke with someone who said they're going to process my return now, but we'll see. They haven't given me any kind of reason to trust them. When they call to schedule delivery appointment, they give us a date 3 weeks out saying that is the earliest date available. The website, actual inventory, and delivery schedule are completely ignorant of what's available and what they are telling the customer (us). Come on Lowes , join the 21st century. WORST!!!! First customer service is non existent. Not only up front but everywhere. You'll hear someone getting pages to XXX department for 15 min. How does this happen?! Second: Why have on line ordering or pickup when you spend more time waiting for the items that are "ready" to be picked up. Every time is the same story. I'll call and verify the item I'm ordering is "up front" (two hours after calling to have it brought to the front) and when I show up to pick up the item I'm told they will have to send someone out back to find it. Usually 30 min later my one item shows up (this time 47 min)!!! I avoid this store at all costs but sometimes they have what the "other store" doesn't have. It's been like this for years and now with on line ordering it has only gotten worse. Lowes: if you can't get it right then don't do it until you can get it right. We set up delivery for Wednesday.They said I would receive a call the day before to set up a window of time.They never called the day before so I called the next morning and they put me through to Deb.She said did you call?I said I'm calling now and they were suppose to call me. She said hold on I will check what time they will deliver.Then she said ok your on for today between 4 and 6. I said great thank you. Two of us were at home eagerly awaiting the refrigerator.Well NO SHOW.I called Lowes at about 630 and said I did not receive my refrigerator.He said I will see what's going on and call you back.well quess what. Hour later and no call so I called back and the answering service kept answering The next morning I called (talked to Deb again)she said I will call you back and let you know what's going on.She calls back and tells me they said there was nobody at the home.I said no way.We were here and couldn't wait for it because I haven't had a refrigerator for three days.Deb was very quick with me and never said sorry for the inconvenience.She said they can deliver it tomorrow! Yet another American company that does not understand the importance and value of keeping their word. I ordered an item for $1300 and they confirmed the delivery on a certain date. I took the day off from work to be able to meet them for this important delivery. Hours and hours later, with no delivery, I called their Delivery department and they told me my delivery was cancelled (!), yet they could not explain why! Plus, no one ever contacted me to let me know! The dispatcher felt bad about it and "promised" to have it delivered to me the next morning - first delivery - between 7:15 and 9:15. By noon I was broiling over with frustration and called these knuckleheads only for them to tell me I'd get it before 9:00 PM! I finally did get it, but what a horrorshow! These two poor guys had to spend 45 minutes unloading stoves, dishwashers and refrigerators onto my driveway in order to get to my item - WAY back in the truck... An hour and a half later, I finally got my item delivered, but what a terrible hassle. Even the delivery guys were embarrassed, not to mention that I was really irritated having all of these heavy appliances dumped on my driveway! Lowe's has a real problem with honesty and reputation.
