We purchased a new washer and dryer online, we were able to pick a day that worked best for us, and a third-party delivery team handled the drop-off and removal of our old units. We received several updates about the delivery time, and they even arrived a little early (after confirming it was fine). I like that Lowe's has a wider selection of home accent items than Home Depot. It's more of a place for people wanting to buy stuff to make the house beautiful versus making the house functional. Don't get me wrong, you can still get hammers, nails and screws here, but they have a good amount of things to spruce up the home. When I ordered flooring, I was told that shipping was free. When I looked at my credit card transactions, I noticed a $79 delivery charge. When I contacted the store, the only thing they offered was to cancel the order and reorder for delivery to the store. I had no choice by to cancel and reorder so now I have to wait longer to get my flooring. I should have gotten my flooring at Home Depot with free shipping. Lesson learned! read more

have had an absolutely MISERABLE experience with Lowe's over the past two weeks. I went into the store and ordered a new fridge on 2/08/25, and was told it would be delivered on 02/10/25. The team did not show up on 2/10, and i was told by the delivery supervisor that they wouldn't be coming due to my order being attached to a team two hours away. So i rescheduled delivery for 2/12. On 2/12, my new fridge was delivered, but the technicians did not take the old fridge even though I had paid for it to be hauled away due to them not knowing how to turn off my water line. I figured it out shortly after they left, and scheduled the haul away for 2/14. On 2/14, they did not show, and when i called Lowe's, they said my haul away had never been put on a team's schedule, so I rescheduled the haul away for 2/17. On 2/17, I got a text that the team was on their way at 12:30pm, so i left my job to be home for the haul away, and nobody showed. When i called Lowe's, they insisted that the team was still on their way and that i would be receiving a call shortly. I attempted to call Lowe's twice more during the day to follow up, and they hung up on me both times. I never received a call from a delivery team, and when I called back Lowe's again at 6:00pm, i was told that the team I had been assigned to was in Danvers, and that they would not be picking up the fridge. I rescheduled the haulaway again for today, 2/19, and received a text at 8:30 this morning saying that the team was on their way. I called Lowe's at 10:30 explaining the situation, and i was AGAIN told that the team was on their way and I would be receiving a call shortly. It is now 5:30pm and i never received a call. Bought a brand new lawnmower on 4/27. Delivered on 5/6. Used mower for 3 hours. Mower stopped working. Called service department who guaranteed a new delivery. Few days later we get our claim was denied. No email...no phone call...NOTHING!! Now being told a service tech would be sent to service a brand new lawnmower!!! We are remodeling apartments near this Lowe's.(reason why we HAD to came to this location.) We saw the horrible reviews online of this SPECIFIC location ...so we knowingly walked in hoping it wasn't that that bad ....and boy they showed us how rude, unorganized, and completely HORRIFIC their custom service is! I was walking down an aisle and saw two employees approaching as they spoke so I stopped near a car to allow them to walk by and they never acknowledged me and stopped at the cart (blocking the aisle) and just kept talking. The young lady at the paint department makes me never want to shop at Lowe's again... at least not for paint. I wanted to pick the whitest trim paint I could possibly get so I chose Sherwin Williams extra white. She explained that extra white comes pre-mixed by Valspar and she could sell us that. She said she promised the color would be the same. Since we were now on the hook for Valspar, I grabbed a paint chip from their section that was even whiter, the Ultra White. She insisted that the one off the shelf was actually pre-mixed and it's the same color even though the paint chips were clearly different. (Ultra White and Extra white are not the same!) She "offered" to open the paint and dry a drop of it on the paint chip to prove that it was the same, but not before complaining about having to open the can. I said fine. The dried sample was clearly a different shade of white abut she insisted that it was because it was not completely dry. See attached photo. Did I mention that she was giving us was exterior paint because she was insisting that all paints are the same? We took our business to Home Depot. I just feel like it would have been easier for her to mix the proper paint and be done with it. By the way, Fred from flooring is the ONLY reason I will shop at Lowe's again. He is so knowledgeable and helpful, he is patient with customers and makes us feel like he really has our best interest by recommending the perfect solution after identifying our needs. After having spent 6-7 years working for Lowe's while Honorably Serving in the Navy and afterward; it is completely disturbing how badly their customer service has gotten! I made a $1200 order for drywall to be delivered to a store front I am trying to renovate! But the delivery service (that I paid for) wanted me to wait all day for their delivery at their convenience! This couldn't happen cause I had a last minute delivery at a Lowe's in Amherst, NH to ensure that Lowe's can continue servicing their customers! If I called out of work, a special order for Lowe's and their customer would of been missed! My delivery had to be cancelled cause the delivery service out of North Dartmouth only operates on a mother's hour schedule to benefit their drivers while providing no customer service! And when I spoke with the store manager, Pam, asking if I can get the delivery in the afternoon so I can ensure the Amherst Lowe's has what they needed to service their customers; NO HELP WAS PROVIDED! Absolutely pathetic! The local Home Depot was able to make the delivery on short notice and on time! Thank God too! I had a crew of 10 waiting for Lowe's bullshit! I currently am a Class A Driver that delivers concrete and landscape stone to Lowe's and other home improvement stores to sell! If this is what level exists for customer service now at Lowe's; I will gladly follow the golden rule and return the same pathetic service! Lowe's doesn't care about customer service; why should real customer service committed Class A truck driver's best committed to them? Now I am struggling to end my Lowe's credit card! Not one single cashier register open, only self checkout which had several employees just standing around it having personal conversations. It's one thing if you have self check out but also have employees working at a register, ridiculous to make customers do self checkout while employees stand around watching me do their job. DO NOT GET DELIVERY FROM HERE. Considering how much the staff and store manager care about your business, I probably wouldn't even shop from here. The gist of my annoying story with this store is that when the website wouldn't let us order, we needed to order on the phone. We very clearly told the phone person where to send our very large and expensive purchase (noteworthy because you'd think they'd care a little more, and understand our issues that come up below). We also paid for assembly and had a lengthy conversation with the guy about how necessary it was. Big housewarming party, lots of people coming, getting delivered the day before the party. LOTS OF BOXES AND NOWHERE TO PUT THEM. We would have ordered elsewhere if we knew what was about to happen. First off, Lowe's of North Dartmouth was unable to fix the delivery location THREE TIMES, putting us in a panic every day until we finally talked to the delivery guy at 7:30am the final day of delivery ourselves, who was incredibly rude. Amongst other attitude, the conversation ended something like this: "Oh yeah, I don't have an assembler" "But.... we paid for assembly" "Well if you don't want it, we won't deliver it" SERIOUSLY? If we didn't have fifty people coming over in a day, we would have cancelled the order right then. But unfortunately, we needed them, so the day before the housewarming party, Lowes left two admittedly un-handy people frustratingly sitting in an entire living room full of boxes that need to be assembled in the time we were supposed to be preparing, cleaning and shopping for the housewarming party. Oh right, and cleaning up, cutting and wrapping boxes and styrofoam that literally filled the entire first floor of our house. The best part? I sent a lengthy email to Lowe's, who forwarded it to the store manager. His response? I'll paraphrase it for you.... Man, that sucks. If you ever decide to order from us again, I'll make sure it goes smoothly. What would be a useful response? I don't know.. Responding sooner than four days too late? Sending a frigging assembler? Offering some kind of discount, considering we paid with a Lowes card? F these guys. I recently purchased a small window AC from here. I brought it home and noticed a dent in it so I packed it back up and lugged it back to the store. When I arrived I was told they could not do a straight exchange, they had to refund my money and I had to go pick out another one and go through checkout. Would have been nice if they offered to have an associate go get another one for me seeing as I've already been through enough hassle lugging a 40+lb AC back to the store due to damage. Also, what kind of goofy exchange policy is that? She literally handed me cash then I handed it back to them to purchase another unit. Not the kind of efficiency I would expect from a large box store. I returned the following week as my old dishwasher kicked the bucket. I was browsing several brands of dishwashers hoping to make a purchase there and availability on many of them was 16 days. A small mom and pop appliance store down the street was able to get the same models next day, needless to say they earned my business over Lowe's. Larger and cleaner than Home Depot. Convenient and easy parking. Has issues with not enough sales people, but I've never been to a large hardware store like this that didn't have those problems. Unfortunately, we have grown to accept this poor service as 'normal.' Basically, if you need something and they have it, hopefully you can find it on your own. Otherwise, you're in for about 20 minutes of chasing after busy sales people helping other customers. I realize that the Covid-19 lockdown has made life a lot harder in every way for those doing home improvements, construction of any nature, and most DIY projects. What a sad day for this area to try to 1/ get in touch with almost any department ( I tried 6 different departments, and no one answered the phone...), 2/ find a sales person, and then most importantly, find a sales person who knows much of anything. Service lacking! Went to purchase a substantial amount of items for a bathroom remodel on 1-10-19 and there was NO ONE to assist me. The first man I asked in that department told me that unless it could be taken care of in five minutes or less that he could not help me as he was leaving at 3 PM and another man was on lunch. Then I was told "everyone is at a meeting." FINALLY a man returned from lunch (at 3:30 pm) and was able to help and seemed to know the products. However, I was told that I would receive a call when the shower door was in, anticipated to arrive on 1/24. I called on 1/24 and was told the door had come in on the 20th! No one called me -- the lady on the phone said their was a 'system failure' -- whatever that means. I bought a Power Washer 3 years ago but never used it until last week when a neighbor asked if anyone had one. As soon as we connected the water it started leaking out the bottom. I knew it was a long shot, but I brought it back to the store where the customer service desk kindly said that it was well past the 90 days and there was nothing they could do about it. I called the manufacturer but they said it was past the 2 year warranty. As a last-ditch effort, I contacted the store manager of this Lowe's and they were very kind and understanding of my particular situation. They gave me store credit for another pressure washer. I really appreciate it and want to thank them again! This is the type of service I would expect from Costco, not from a Home Improvement store. read more

On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we tried to order honeycomb shades for our large windows (48"x 84"). We were quoted a price, which included $99 for installation. There was a $35 charge for measuring, which would be refunded when we ordered and that the measurer would call in two to three day. Reasonable. A week later we had not yet been contacted so we called the store and were told that we would hear by the end of the day, which was the case. An appointment was made for Thursday at noon - the guy came an hour late - bad GPS instructions he claimed. He said the measurements would be submitted the next day and the store would contact us in a day or so. By Monday we had not heard so we called to confirm the info was there and drove to North Dartmouth. The order showed up on the computer screen but could not be accessed. The salesperson suggested the system purges old orders - two weeks is old? The order was re-written and to our astonishment the price more than doubled and included $281 for installation as the measurer claimed the top of the shade would be more than ten feet from the floor - it is not. We asked for the measurements that we had we paid for and was told that we could not have them but when asked they refunded the measuring charge. If you want to waste your time and enjoy total ineptitude this is the place to go. read more
