I always come to this Lowe's because it's convenient. However, I never really get exceptional service here. They just tell you where to go and look on your own. This is why I had to do a return because I really didn't have enough help and the item the person told me to get was too big. They do have a huge selection with quality, but they are very expensive in my opinion. I do like how they run the return line because it goes quick. Just note that you do need your receipt though!! I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am with the service I received from Ricardo in the Appliance Department regarding my refrigerator purchase. From the very beginning of the transaction until the very end, Ricardo had a poor attitude. He was dismissive, unhelpful, and showed very little concern for providing good customer service. On top of that, he entered the wrong area code for my phone number. That simple mistake resulted in me not receiving important delivery communications and caused an incredible amount of unnecessary frustration and wasted time. I spent 45 minutes on hold, only to have the call disconnected. I then drove to the store, where I was assured that my refrigerator would be delivered that same day. Later, after spending another 45 minutes on hold and then an additional 50 minutes on another call, I was finally told that delivery could not happen until the following day. Wanting to give the store an opportunity to address the situation, I called and asked to speak with the Store Manager, Jeff. The store operator told me to hold and assured me that Jeff would be with me shortly. I remained on hold for 38 minutes, only to have the line go dead. Once again, my time was completely disregarded. I returned to the store to try to resolve the issue and spoke with Manager Clarissa. Unfortunately, rather than helping, she was unprofessional, rude, dismissive, and arrogant. Instead of taking ownership of the situation or offering a reasonable solution, I was treated as though my time and concerns did not matter. After all the wasted time, repeated phone calls, multiple trips to the store, and the complete lack of customer service, I had no choice but to cancel my order and purchase my refrigerator from another company. This was one of the most frustrating retail experiences I have ever had. Ricardo's poor attitude and carelessness, combined with Manager Clarissa's unprofessional, rude, and dismissive behavior, turned what should have been a simple appliance purchase into an exhausting and unacceptable ordeal. Equally disappointing was my inability to even reach Store Manager Jeff after being left on hold for 38 minutes before the call was disconnected. I will do my best to avoid purchasing anything from Lowe's in the future, and I certainly cannot recommend your appliance department based on my experience. I sincerely hope Lowe's addresses the conduct of Ricardo and Manager Clarissa so that other customers are not subjected to the same level of poor service. Very, very disappointing. read more

Stopped by with my dog while we kill time before her training class and so she's doing errands with me. We came to the garden center so we can get some larger pots for my tomato plants. I love that I was able to bring her into the garden center and do some training with her in the aisles around all the noise of the carts and the tingling of the wind chimes. There were so many people and everyone was friendly including staff. I found some pots that will work for my tomato plants and then I got in line, there were only 2 people ahead of me but it took forever for them to get rung up and the line was getting very long behind me. Everyone was sighing including my dog but it was a good practice in patience for my dog. When I finally paid it went fast for me to be rung up so I'm not sure why it was so slow before me. Overall a very good experience. All the plants look really nice and healthy here as well I would come again for more plants if I'm in the area! read more

However, the number of self checkout only stands near the main entrance, with self checkout being the only obvious way to pay for things was super irritating. I had some items that I needed help with and the area is just grossly under staffed. There were two people each serving a bank of 8 self checkout machines. Both people just running around from customer to customer doing their absolute best in a super difficult situation. Do better Lowe's. Support your staff and staff your stores well. Don't buy appliances from this store, the salespeople make promises the delivery people can't keep My refrigerator died, so I bought a new one from this store, it's the same size as the old one. I remembered the delivery people who delivered the one that died had to remove doors from the frig and my house to get it in the house. I explained that to the salesperson and they told me the delivery people would do everything, including removing and replacing the doors, installing and testing the refrigerator and new icemaker I also ordered. I'm an old Sr. Citizen so I needed to buy it from a place that could because I'm too old to do it myself. I showed the salespeople pictures so they could see the doors and gave them the measurements with and without the doors off the hinges. When the new frig was delivered the delivery people told me they aren't allowed to remove and replace doors, or hook up the water to ice maker even though the old one had an ice maker and all they would have to do is move the line from the old to the new refrigerator. They told me they could leave the new frig in the driveway or take it back. They agreed to wait and put it in the house, if I removed the doors, and I did, which was very painful and dangerous for me to do. I also had to hook the water line up to the new refrigerator, and almost couldn't stand up afterwards because there was nothing to use to help me get up. I was sore as heck the next day. When they left we discovered there were hole covers they forgot to install, like one in the front door where the handle would screw down if it was mounted to open the other way. Lowe's says they don't have or sell them so we will need to call the factory. I don't blame the delivery people; I blame the salespeople who assured me I'd not have a problem. The only thing they told me that was true was that they sold me a refrigerator that would be delivered to my house. If you are too old to do things like hook up the water, don't buy any appliance from Lowe's The delivery people also told me the GE refrigerator I bought was going to need repairs frequently. They said they are not reliable like my old one. I wish I'd talked to them before going to the store. I didn't ask, they volunteered that sad news without prompting. read more

I purchased a washer and dryer on Jan. 17 and the machines were supposed to get delivered on February 5 in the morning I was told. I took the day off from work so that I would not miss the delivery. Throughout the day the delivery was changed twice. Received a text message at 10:45am letting me know that they were going to get delivered 12pm-4pm. Then later on I received another text message letting me know that it was getting delayed and will be delivered between 4-7pm. At the end there was no delivery and Peter from Store 1873 called me at 8:19pm letting me know that the delivery was made but there was no one home. There were 3 ppl in the house. The manager that works the front end, very short Hispanic guy goes by the name of Rafael is very rude. I tried to place a phone order because my mom needs work done at her house and he denied helping me. My mother is handicapped, she cannot be out for so long she had the contractor go with her to get the stuff he needs to do the job all so the rude unhelpful manager could deny services. I've placed phone orders many many times at this lowes and never had any issues with the managers that work earlier in the day. Now I'm rushing from Palmdale to Burbank with my 1 year old in the back seat so that I make it before they close at 10. It's currently 9:06pm.... Hip hip hooray Lowe's is my go to store. I left my phone in the restroom wile shopping and didn't notice for over a hour. I had a note with my wife's number in the case. Late that night she received a call from them that someone found my phone and that the manager had it in a safe place. The next day I went to retrieve my phone and to my relief there it was. Even had the $20 bill I keep in the phone case. The service is just TERRIBLE. We went in to do our closet doors and it was a bad experience from the moment we place the order for measurements to the installation. The selection is limited and they gave the incorrect product and they are refusing to fix the issue. Ordered an outdoor propane barbecue to be delivered the same day. I received an email at 10am telling me the item was ready for delivery. As I'm writing this it's 10:15pm and the item still hasn't arrived. The Lowes I ordered it from had 5 in stock, but for some reason I was told it was shipped from a different Lowes a few miles away. This location has bad customer service. I was in the appliance department and had a question about a stove and asked a rep if they had a minute but she actually said she was too busy lollll. So then she called over another worker and he just yelled out that the item I was looking for was against the "other wall", pointed in that direction and walked away. I was shocked and started to notice other things in the store like the fact that the section of indoor nursery were full of dried out plants. There was no one at the customer service desk, it felt like pulling teeth in order to get someone to assist. I should have looked at the reviews for this LOWE's! I placed an order on 0672025 for an upright freezer that was supposed to be delivered today. I used my Lowe's card to do the transaction. I was so excited because I was finally going to have an upright freezer in a garage that I cleared junk out of after MANY years! The freezer I wanted was out of stock, at this store; but my sales person assured me that there was another store that had this freezer. Because I like to pay my bills off as soon as possible, I kept checking to see when the charges posted. I figured since the freezer hasn't shipped yet, the card wasn't billed. So, it was due today...and my Lowe's account still said there were no orders to process. So, I called the store and was told by AI that changes were made to my order. The order was canceled. I was like, "No way!" We emptied the old freezer so we could have it ready for disposal by Lowe's and put the food from the old freezer into Ice chests with ice. I hit the 0 to speak to a real person and found out that I should have received a text that the order was canceled since the other store didn't have the freezer I ordered. I never received a text, a call or an email. This was an EPIC fail ! I took a day off for this, I have to get all of the stuff back into the old freezer and then find a new place to order an upright freezer from that won't let me down. I guess my advice is just to order things that you can actually see at the Lowe's you're buying from before you make a purchase. Awful! Awful! Awful! read more

Returns aren't difficult as long as you have the receipt and the items you're returning are in mint condition. The do it yourself key machine is cool. Even though it is a little pricey, you get to choose whatever you like and then decide. Bathrooms are clean. Plenty of parking spots but it gets busy at times. read more

Writing this as I'm walking out of Lowe's Northridge and heading to Home Depot. I was looking for a replacement piece for an rv water hose and had the part in hand. Asked a male operating a fork lift for help in the plumbing section and all he said was "I have nooo idea, my plumbing guy went to lunch and I know nothing about plumbing sorry". Didn't bother to attempt to help me or direct me in any way towards help from any other employee or the correct aisle. I had the part in hand so it was just a matter of helping me find a part that matched. I also observed him giving the same type of answer to another customer in the plumbing department, just kind of a rude I have no idea sorry type of answer.
