Lowe's Windows - I purchased new windows for our home from Lowe's last June. I still don't have them. I was supposed to have them installed in July. I received my sliding glass door and then found out that I need seal adapters for the windows. It took Lowes over a month to figure out what was needed, then the story line begins, they ordered the wrong amount, that lost my order, the order didn't go through the order has been delayed etc etc. It is now Nov 27th my order has again been delayed. I'm supposed to get a call Dec 11th. I've shared my grief with the store, but I've been assured many times they are sorry for delay. How I wish I was handier when it comes to home improvements, but I am not. Lowe's has everything you could need to make any improvements no matter how small or big the task may be. I've only been in here a few times to pick up a carpet and some items to fix my sink, but both times I was able to easily and quickly find what I needed. Every department has big signs overhead so you know what department you need to go to, to find what you're needing. They always have people in each department willing and waiting to assist you should you need the help. They are always polite and very knowledgeable. The store is usually very organized and clean, as much as a Home Improvement store can be. The men's bathroom can be checked on more often, as it has been out of toilet paper before when I needed to use it. The parking lot is large to accommodate anyone needed to come here. Drove ten miles out of my way to purchase an airless paint sprayer and all the accoutrements. Once at this location- they had two units in stock. One was clearly opened and sort of re-taped (never a promising sign to buy a return item) and the other one looked like it survived a dumpster fire and then was placed in a giant blender and set to "beat the shit out of me" for an hour. I went to the paint guy and asked if he had any units that might be in a recognizable condition and he shrugged and said this was a warehouse- everything was out on the shelves. I told him I was trying to buy a paint sprayer but the two units in the store were in bad shape. He came over and looked at them and agreed was a soup sandwich and lamented that he was almost out of paint- So the paint dept is nearly out of paint. Perfect. I then went up to customer service and asked to speak with a GM. I was asked "What about?", which I replied "product availability." The customer service person nervously tried to phone someone but no one answered and she told me a manager was already en route. After waiting seven minutes I decided there was no point- since who gives a shit, right? My purchase with accessories would have been over $600, which is a fair amount to me- but not really worth it to Lowes. At least your level of hope and expectations are in their company name. I have been trying to get my shower door installed since late April, early on was a sign I shouldn't have done business with them as I initiated requesting a quote for a shower door online. I received a call from Gary Roca to start the process. He was nice, and helpful. He told me a cashier would call in the next 24-48 hrs. No one did, I emailed him stating this after giving them another day or two. He responded quickly but didn't solve the issue. I waited another two weeks thinking maybe high volumes due to COVID. My wife and I went in to Lowe's because I needed wood screws and happened to ask the shower door personnel what the issue was and why I wasn't called back to pay for the measurements. No response but helped me on the spot. Once I paid, I was told to give them about a week for the third party (Arizona shower doors) to call for measurements for the door we chose, it took another two weeks to hear from them. Finally they came to take measurements and told us we would either have to pay extra to add more marble to our shower walls in order to properly install the current choice or go with one similar that will fit. We chose the latter. They didn't give us anything to use if we wanted to go somewhere else or get another quote. They also said that we should hear back from Lowe's to set up a delivery and install date for ordering the door in about 48-72 hrs. Another week and a half goes by and finally get a call stating that the door should be delivered by 12 June 2020 and installed. Arizona shower doors calls 12 June to schedule the install on 16june2020 (today) between 12pm-2pm. Someone from Lowe's calls me at 1:20pm today to tell me that the doors were rejected by Arizona shower doors because it was delivered with scratches on the door (great on Arizona shower doors for ensure they don't deliver trash products). The lady also didn't even ask if I still want the doors/refunded or any incentive to keep their business for all this hassle to install a shower door. She basically just called to inform me that the doors will be delayed due to having to reorder them and I'm just going to have to wait. Didn't even sound sympathetic. I don't even know what to do. Let alone not confident enough that Lowe's will properly refund my money back nor give me the details to the shower door measurements. This is pretty upsetting that I will be waiting 2 months for some shower doors and installation. While at the same time rearranging my schedule and my autistic sons schedule for therapy to accommodate their inability to take care of their customers. Then we went to checkout and the gal checking us out, started a conversation with us. What began as commenting on seeing materials prices finally dropping led to her informing us that thankfully the military would be in control soon and that the news sites she reads which are "much more reliable" have her convinced that the Supreme Court is set to overturn the election. So she was very excited. WTAF? I am just shopping, I do not need bat crazy QANON theory at checkout. I bought a gas dryer on line Dec 30, paying for removal of the old dryer and installation of the new (or so I thought). First available delivery date was Jan 15- already down 1 star for 2 weeks wait time. On Jan 15 the Lowe's truck arrived, and they informed me that a plumber was required to unhook my old dryer and to hook up the new, so they left my new dryer in the garage. Minus 4 stars for not notifying me sooner of this requirement. The dryer was finally delivered Jan 18, and Sean, the plumber arranged by Lowe's, was a fine fellow and very professional- one star back. I will make these 3 points to any Lowe's executive who might read this in the future: 1. In the interest of good customer service, one member of the crew should be trained in hooking up a new dryer to an existing gas line. I am not talking about running new pipe, soldering, connecting pipe sections together- simply unhooking the old dryer and hooking the new to an existing line. 2. The algorithm for customers who have purchased a gas dryer on line should direct the customer to a section where the customer must acknowledge "I understand that the Lowe's delivery team will not unhook the old gas dryer or install the new gas dryer." I was certainly not made aware of this at the time of purchase. 3. Your customer service folks should look at your schedule several days ahead, and note a scheduled delivery of a gas dryer to a customer who has not arranged for plumber installation through Lowe's. The customer should be contacted to ensure they are aware of the plumber requirement and have it covered. read more

Lowes # 1204 BUYER BEWARE!!! If you are seeking kitchen cabinets steer clear of this location! This started November 30, 2021 after several meeting with the Lowes kitchen designer Miguel we finalized the cabinets and paid in full. We were told it would take 90 days for the delivery of the cabinets but due to the supply chain issues this was normal. Finally on March 25th we had the cabinet delivered. The delivery company Lowes used was Interstate Express and the employees who arrived reeked of marijuana and the first piece of cabinetry was dropped off the truck causing damage to the pantry piece we waited four months to arrive! On April 1, 2021 The installation company Lowes used Shamrock sent Lee to do the install, he arrived without any paperwork or any instructions as to how the cabinets should look. We provided what we had and Lee said he could figure out the rest. After a day of installing Lee realized there were missing cabinets, trim, crown molding and a lazy Susan. He informed us he could only install what we had and he would notify Lowes of the missing pieces and the store would get it ordered. Lee said, once the pieces arrived he would return and finish the install, and would be lining up the doors and drawers. On April 5th I received a email from Lowes saying my install was completed? I called Lowes installation support to find out why I received the email when my install was not complete? I was told they send that email so that the installation company can get paid? Lowes has been paid and now the install company but my kitchen is sitting not completed. We waited a few days to get an update on the missing parts, I once again contacted Lowes Installation support. I am placed on hold so that they can call the store to get an update. The store never answers and I am told someone will be calling me back? After a month of waiting and back and forth calls with support I contacted the store manager Santana Ledesma, he seemed concern and said he would follow up with me on the matter, I never heard back from him. I sent an email to the Lowes installation support manager Alma Friedich along with the store manager Santana Ledesma on May 2, 2022 my email was never answered. Months have gone by and we haven't heard from anyone at Lowes. Then in July a few boxes arrived out of the blue, I got a call from Lowes Support asking if I received the pieces, I said yes but not the lazy Susan piece. I am told that forgot to order that part but it will be ordered and I will be notified when the piece has been ordered. Once again I am never contacted. On August 18, 2022 I receive a call from someone on the behalf of the Lowes #1204 store manager Santana Lesdesma. She said they realized I didn't sign all the pages on my contract and if she could get the pages to me to sign?? She said after that they could get everything "finished up". Washer, dryer, and fridge. Had it set up for Saturday we moved in June 19th. Lowe's contracts out a company called XPO. Well they couldn't find our home although it's on GPS and Amazon and many other can find it. I called XPO and asked for supervisors but the reps would always state they weren't available. My appliances weren't delivered Saturday. Trey (manager) from store 1204 called me later Saturday and said they received back our appliances at the store. He said the could be delivered on Sunday 20th. Well Sunday comes and yet again no delivery. For some reason our appliances didn't end up on the truck that morning although 10 others did. I explained they need to get another truck out to get my appliances on it. Markey stated she would try Elma (area manager of XPO) and try to get a other truck. Well that didn't happen. Later Sunday as me and my wife were throwing away all our food out of apartment fridge approx $150 worth. I received a call back from Trey, he knew that I was frustrated. But he seemed so excited that he said we were first priority Monday 21st for delivery and it was already all set up with XPO and even the Area a manger Elma would be with the delivery team to my house. Here I am Monday morning took off day at work waiting for my appliances. Called XPO to get an eta since I ever got an email, text or phone call. Well not to my surprise rep said we aren't on the schedule for today. At this point, I'm very sick. I called Lowe's to speak to Trey but of course he is out today. Asked to speak to any manager and the customer service rep said they were all busy. Apparently to busy for an escalated case. Waited an hour and no call back. So called back and finally got a hold of manager Cynthia. She looked up my delivery and said that it was still in the due file which means it never went out on the truck. So despite Trey promising and stating that we were "first priority and that area manager Elma was going to be there too" our appliances still somehow missed the truck. I took this day off. I am beyond frustrated that we don't have our appliances. The communication between Lowe's and XPO is kindergarten level and just a joke. I can't believe how a multimillion dollar company can't seem to get me my delivery. If anything please just pay another freight company to get my appliances out. I want action taken on this and hope this goes up to corporate and Marvin Ellison. CPo manager Elma needs to be fired along with the Lowe's representives/manager s that promised us over and over again. It's really just sad. Lowes... it started out as a good relationship until I ordered a shower door and paid for install -then everything took a hard turn off a tall cliff. Even after someone came out and measured the shower (60.5"), what was ultimately delivered was a 48" shower door. I was told by install sales that someone would call me that day to get it straightened out... lie. I had to call EVERY DAY for 3 days before I was told that the one we originally ordered was not available in the size we wanted.. WTF? You couldn't have told me that up front beforehand? Needless to say, I cancelled my order. In the meantime while we were waiting for the shower door, we ordered closet doors from the same Lowe's and like with the shower, they sent someone to measure. We paid for doors and install.. when the installer showed this past Monday to install, guess what?? They were short by a foot! The installer showed me the measurements he was given, and they were spot on. So someone at Lowes obviously does not know how to enter the correct measures into the system. I spoke to Ray (manager) and Jessica (install sales) and even though they were apologetic, it felt a lot like lip service more than customer service. I cancelled both orders, and told them I would never step foot in another Lowes, and post my experience to social media. They didn't even offer a good explanation why it happened, or try to make it right. read more

The shame about Lowe's is that they do so much volume with different customers that, unless you can get in and get out with minimal support, they're simply, by design, unable to help you. I purchased a bathroom vanity at this location because the Lowe's website said it was in stock. The other location I had been to (the website also said it was in stock there) did not have it so I phoned the Thunderbird location to confirm. Well, they must have just checked the website to because, when I arrived, there was no vanity. Their response: shrug and suggest I order it online. So I order it online for pickup at this location in three days. I arrive, go to customer service, and am told that, yes, they have them in stock but there isn't one set aside for me. Lucky thing for me, I was told. After being sent to the rear of the store to get it myself, I ended up checking out 25 minutes later because the first two employees who told me they were going to get the lift were actually just going away. Of course I get it home and one of the drawers is broken apart and in the bottom of the unit. So I bring the piece back with my receipt and the customer service rep tells me to go to the back. Kind of thought that exchanges were what they did in customer service but apparently that isn't the case with Lowe's. I ask if I can leave the broken drawer with him and the rep tells me, "No, take this so they can put it in the box where they'll pull you out a new one." Well, I guess the next buyer will get to repeat my experience. I wonder how many customers before me have returned that very same drawer as well. So I go to the back, wait again, and 15 minutes later an employee just pulls a drawer off the floor model and tells me I can go. Whatever you say guy. Lowe's is a disaster. They clearly cannot manage the operation they have built and any semblance of convenience is out the window. Why they even bother offering online stock information is beside me, since they don't actually know where anything is. And since customer service doesn't actually provide any services to customers, I'd suggest they cut out that Desk of Illusion as well. That would be a good start for an outfit that is all marketing and offers very little in terms of value or service. read more

This was after visiting Home Depot for this same product multiple times and not really finding what I was looking for. Moreover, Home Depot seems like it is always busier (and therefore I never seem to receive assistance when actually have a question and genuinely need help). Anyway, to drive home the point that I historically go to HD instead of Lowe's, when I google mapped the location of this Lowe's, I typed in "Loews"... and trust me when I say that, in Phoenix, this will not help you find "Lowe's". The patio door selection at Lowe's is not as extensive as it is at HD, but I do feel like the layout of their patio door area is better suited for my style of shopping. We recently purchased over $2,000 worth of appliances from Lowe's online. I purchased online because the appliances that I purchased were low stock and I was able to find them online on the Lowe's website. They offered a rebate on the cost of installation which we chose for one of the appliances. I filled out all of the rebate paperwork and submitted on time. They denied the rebate saying it did not qualify. I had to call their rebate center to be told that because I purchased the installation at the same time as I purchased the appliance online it did not qualify; in order to receive the installation rebate, I would have had to call the store or customer care and purchase the installation separately. I voiced my displeasure to the person on the phone and asked her to note it in my records; I could tell by her quick reply that she was not typing so I hope this gets back to Lowe's. This rebate policy was very deceptive and not good customer service. I will not be purchasing appliances through Lowe's again. I would have left a review cautioning other customers to read the fine print on Lowe's rebates, but it says that the review period had expired - it has only been 2 months. I loved the appliances that I purchased, and I am going to be purchasing more appliances in the near future - but I will not be purchasing them at Lowe's. read more

We were shopping for a new washing machine. We had been to Home Depot and were comparing. Lowes did have a better selection and their prices were in line with Home Depots. Good prices and good selection are great things, but they don't really count if you can't make a purchase.
