We purchased Pella replacement window from Lowes for our dining room. While staff member were courteous there were several problems. Our widows were measured improperly and would not fir. They had be reordered . The reordered windows arrived and were installed and that's were the real problems started. They were still too tight do not open easily and even worse the exterior cladding is coming off and is very unsightly from our dining deck. Buyer beware that Lowes only guarantees their labor for one year. Sadly, the cladding issue started outside of the one year and your on your own. Better to go with a company that will stand behind their work. read more

Like many other comments, the same complaint: customer service. Never been to Lowe's before, I was doing an uber eats shopping for two plants. I don't know anything about plants! Immediately went to a customer service agent in the return section, she said she would call someone to come over to plants. I went to plants and waited there for 10 mins, no one came. Went back to the same person asked if someone could come with me over there bc I need help. She said yes, go wait in the plant section. I go back and wait, another 5 mins passes. Eventually I see three Lowe's employees standing together in the plant area, and ask them if someone can help me. Two walked off without a word, one woman said she would call someone over as she doesn't know anything about plants herself. Eventually a man comes over and I show him the two plants I need. He's rushing me, telling me the plant I'm looking for we don't have in that size, asking me a bunch of questions about the plant and I tell him I don't know anything about plants, please help. He points out one plant and as I go and grab it, he tells me he's got someone else to tend to.. mind you, I only needed two plants! Help with one but not with the other. Purchased 4 post skirts and 4 post caps .paid $10 for same day /next day delivery. The delivery person shorted me 1 post cap , a $10.98 item. So no problem, I'll just call and have them sent out another. Well that's what I thought but was I in for a surprise. Online customer service said that would have to investigate this claim and they'll have the manager in the Riverhead store call within 24 hours. I thought this must be a joke for an $11 dollar item. Needless to say the call never came, so I called the Riverhead store to see if they could resend the missing item. Nope, they said that they were not responsible for items that are picked up by the delivery people that do same day/ next day delivery. They less than friendly woman in the Lowes Riverhead shipping dept told me to call One Rail delivery who were the ones they use for the local deliveries ( but Lowe's is not responsible for themissing item?? huh?? Well I did call and the lady at One Rail said they only deliver what Lowe's gives to them , and I would have to take it up with Customer Service at Lowe's. So I'm now loosing my cool over this $11 item that Lowe's probably gets for $2 or $3 bucks. I called again the next day to online customer service and went through the same story for the 4 th time and was told that they were looking into this case and I would here back within 72hrs. I actually burst into laughter over the insanity of what was occurring. I then figured to have them match the price that these exact TREX item were priced at HD. I only did this to at least give me a credit of $20 + dollars for all the aggravation . I gave them the exact model numbers and the non sale or regular price ( both item were both on sale ). I was put on hold for 15 minutes , now at 38 minutes total call time and was told that they do not match sale priced items even though I was asking them to match the regular HD price. That's the policy at Lowe's and they could not help me. So if anyone sees me attempting to buy ANYTHING from pliers , please hit me in the head with a 2x4 from RBS or HD. ABSOLUTELY INSANE read more

WORST Customer Service of any Lowes store ever!!! I purchased John Deere riding mower 5/5/2024 at the Medford Lowes. I physically saw the mower in Bin 5 in the outside garden area. I was advised by the inside garden associate John that the assemblers would be in the shop on Tuesday 5/7 and the mower would be delivered on Wednesday 5/8. When I contacted the store Tuesday, after being on hold for over 30 minutes to speak to an associate I was told the assemblers would not be in until Friday and would have the mower delivered on Saturday 5/11. On Friday I called to confirm the delivery and again after being put on hold for over 30 minutes I was told the assemblers did NOT show up. I asked to speak to a manager. I was advised that Danielle was the manager, and I was put on hold for her for over 30 minutes before I was ungraciously disconnected. I again called 3 times today, Monday May 13 to speak to someone about the assembly and delivery of my mover which cost almost $3000. During which I was fed stories about how the unit was not in stock and that's why it was not delivered. When I advised the associate that was not true and that I wanted to speak to a manager I was put on hold and disconnected again after 1 hour on hold. I was finally connected to Denise who was so rude as to say, "What do you want me to do to assemble it myself?" She also advised me that she was on vacation last week so whoever put me on hold had no clue who the manager on duty was. The state of inconceivable disorganization and process failures is disturbing. The simple act of connecting to an associate for an answer was painful. Denise was absolutely rude saying how it's not their responsibility as to when the assemblers show up and it was not in her power to even identify if the assemblers will show up at all. When I was asking if she could possibly advise me when the assemblers show up, she hung up the phone on me. read more

Had a pro account with Lowe's and found it nice to have an alternative to the chaos of Home Depot however I went into pay my $400+ pro account bill and get a replacement for a defective can of spray sealant and was denied. The nozzle was clearly defective and sprayed it contents all down the side of the can but because the can was empty they would replace it. The nozzle neck that sticks down into the can had void that allowed the contents to escape between the nozzle and the can that made a huge mess and wasted the contents of the can on the floor and all over my hands. I did try to complete the project using up the can with what little came out of the spray due to the fact that I live 30 min from the Lowe's but to no success. read more

Been a Home Depot customer for years. Always thought Lowes was more expensive. Lately, I found prices to be somewhat better at Lowes; however, I'll be going back to Home Depot again. Home Depot isn't perfect, but it's a heck of a lot better than Lowes. One problem at Lowes is that managers all seem to have different opinions or understanding of Lowes store policies. When you ask a store employee about the "Lowes Price Guarantee" or some other question, you often hear, "It depends on what manager is on duty." For example, I was told that Lowes had a 30 day price matching guarantee. Salesman said, "Find a better price and Lowes will match the price." I had asked for something in writing, but I was told to go to Customer Service. Customer Service, however, couldn't (or wouldn't) provide one. When I asked another store employee if the Price Match Guarantee was 30 days from the purchase date or 30 days from the delivery date (which was almost 2 weeks later), I was told it depended on the manager. When I went to Customer Service, Jake (the Front End Manager) said the price match guarantee was only two weeks. Not 30 days. I guess it really does depend on the manager. No consistency. Also, when you return something, make sure you check your receipt before you go. I had returned various items on several receipts, and the Customer Service Rep at the Returns Desk neglected to scan one item. It was a small item for around $7.00, but I didn't notice it until I got home. Not a big deal, but they said they had to review the "Las Vegas" ceiling camera to review the return. When they did not call back, I had to call them several times after which they said everything was scanned correctly, but that one of the items had been scanned twice and then it was removed. I think this is where the error occurred. I returned 7 items, but they only credited me for 6. Anyway, not a big deal. Just kind of made me feel like they thought I was trying to get away with something. Seemed rather silly for a $7.00 item. It wasn't the $7.00 as much as it was the principal of the thing. Riverhead Lowes, you can keep the $7.00, but it's unlikely that I will be back. read more

First of all, one star because anything lower is not available! Purchased a professional level oven from them a couple years ago with a three year extended warranty .( still hasn't expired).Recently called them with a few problems. Technician came and was here well over an hour inspecting the unit.he decided problems were too great to fix! ( thermostat issues , can't get temps that its set for, chaotic ignition of the burners, oven door is not closing to insure proper seal). when spoke to the claim department representative, he claimed all of this was due to the "abusive" use of the oven ( still don't understand how a thermostat and chaotic ignition issues are due to abusive use) and they won't be paying for it. By the way there's not a single evidence of abuse and ask them to come and inspect it but it was refused by the representative. I went back to the store to find out my other options. Store manager basically said there is nothing he could do and recommended to buy a new oven! needless to say I won't be buying anything from them in the future. I hope this helps anyone who is planning to purchase an expensive item from them because their so called "extended" warranty isn't even worth the paper that its written on.. If you have another choice take it, I've been waiting 3 weeks for a dishwasher that was in stock when I ordered it. The salesman told me it was in the back he even went to check because I would have picked a different mode. after it didn't come I called and was on hold for over an hour just to be told they didn't save my number or name to the order and that it was on back order and I'd have to wait or cancel the order. I called again because this is the second time I wasn't informed it wasn't coming and that that's just the way this system works. Purchased the protection plan for an additional $100.00+ dollars. 3 months later. Dishwasher breaks down. Call Lowe's for repair.. "yes we have your protection plan on file. But you live too far so we aren't going to honor it. ????? Whatttt??? They sent me a gift card to purchase another Dishwasher from Lowe's in which they will not be honoring if it needs service.?? I was in Lowe's in Riverhead. The store was fine, well stocked, however, there were many employees who were not wearing masks properly. They covered their mouths, but not their noses, which is how the virus is spread. One employee was not wearing a mask at all. This is totally unacceptable. Management needs to require proper mask wearing for all employees or fire those who do not comply. These people are endangering the health and safety of all their customers. It all started in July of 2020 when I ordered 5 large casement windows from the local rep to replace sold windows in my Living Room. They had the installation crew follow up to confirm all the measurements. Well fast forward to December 2020 when our windows finally arrived then they proceeded to only deliver four windows instead of the five that I thought I ordered. It turned out there was a mix up plus all the windows that arrived were either the wrong size or made for new construction and not an existing window replacement. Fast forward again today is February 18th of 2021 and til this day I do not have resolution to this mess. I have been working with Lowes Corporate but have not received a follow up call from the Riverhead, NY store for resolution. These large windows have been lying on the floor of my foyer for 3 months now and luckily none of us have tripped over them. I understand Covid slowed the original delivery but to botch this order as badly as they did and then to avoid me is a lesson to all of us to avoid the big box stores for any home improvements. Ordered and paid for five items, to be delivered, three weeks ago. They called a week later, the day before they were supposed to be delivered and said they only had two of the items: a 48" vanity, a 36" countertop and were rescheduling the delivery until yesterday. Yesterday, they showed up exactly on time, with only four of the five items. They refused to bring them inside, and instead left the items, ranging from 75 to 125lbs on my front lawn. I went into the Riverhead location for potting soil, 600 pounds of it. I was accompanied by my wife. Each of qualifies for shall we say, advanced elderly. We were the only ones visible in the garden department except for three strong looking employees so close you could almost read their name tags. Never did they express any interest whatsoever of assistance. We were shocked. Previously we thought we had to go to the in store check out area because the nearby cashier was hiding in her opaque cold weather hut. We literally had to open the door to find her. Throughout my kitchen renovation I found myself between HD and Lowes, a lot. Lowes always came up with what I needed in stock with earlier delivery dates. The Lowes salesman in appliances took the time to check stock of each piece, then checked delivery availability before I ordered. HD for the same package as only able to deliver 7/12, I got mine on 6/8! Same experience with a door. Lowes was able to order and deliver in less than 2 weeks, offered to deliver it sooner when it came in earlier than expected. Ordered TREX, the pro shop helped with color choice and quantity (I definitely overshot my measurements!), delivered and offloaded exactly where I needed it. I have no hesitance or doubt in working with them again! read more

Where do I begin to tell you the Greatest Story of the WORST EXPERIENCE of my life with Lowes Cabinetry Dept.? It all started a year ago April of 2021. We met with a female employee who claims to be a seasoned employee with the company for 8 years. We sat down with her a few times to design of our kitchen for our Condo. Mistakes were made from the very beginning by her regarding the design, measurements, reordering of damaged cabinets at least 3 different times. All three times she did not place the order, we checked and checked until finally someone stepped up and placed the correct orders. After waiting many weeks for the replacements time past and this brought us into the New Year 2022. Here we are April of 2022, and it is finally finished. Due to her total disregard for our patronage after spending thousands of dollars she decided to take her mistakes and ill fate out on us. She was extremely arrogant, nasty, belligerent refused to reply by emails and phone calls. We needed answers and she refused to supply us with them. Kept us guessing for weeks. We then contacted the Assist Manager of the Dept. he gave her certain instructions to correct the issues. She totally disregarded his order and stated she never heard him mention rectifying the mistake that she made. She informed us she would have to check with him again and get back to us with a solution. NEVER DID! STILL WAITING!! We questioned the outcome and she stated he never followed through with it. We wanted to get the issue with the cabinets resolved and she made sure it did not happen. This employee should never be a position to conduct business with customers. She is not an asset to the company but a major problem. If she treated us like this because she could not own up to her mistakes, who else goes through this horrendous experience. All I can tell you is she made our lives this past year a living hell. She gave us undue stress and anxiety in something that should have been a pleasant experience. read more

I went to pick up flooring I had ordered online and was greeted with the most bored, unexpressive, Millenial in Riverhead. I admit that the card my clients provided wasn't working, but aside from what should have been a simple fix took over an hour with no appology or consideration. The girl "helping" me spent a lot of time looking at her fingernails and vanished for so long that I thought she quit and went home. I was told I could ring up the rest of my things there, but she never did and when the problem with the flooring was finally resolved they told me to go pay for my other things at the kiosk! Something I would have done during the hour plus I was waiting around, if they had not told me otherwise. When I mentioned what I was previously told, they said "Yeah, normally we can ring you up here, but now there is a line" ?
