To be frank: We all know this store is pretty shit. One look at this page and you already know that this is not a place to shop at, yet people do, because there is a demand for hardware and these big box stores, and Lowe's offers the "best prices". But definitely not "the best experiences". This store is pretty shit, and here's why: 1. The management is inefficient, severely inefficient, can't even save money correctly. They consistently go through cycles of hiring and firing, because once a need is met, to save up on budget, they will fire someone they've invested time and energy in to train to save most likely $10 from not paying someone. It's dumb, and it's stupid, but management here does not realize that it takes energy and effort, as well as time, to have a competent employee to train (and you will just fire them after), so more time is wasted. You ever wonder why the employees here do not want to help customers? Because their upper management won't help them either, so what's the point. Even a high schooler knows the basic math in making sure you have well trained employees. 2. Speaking of management, they are toxic. I understand this is not a job no one wants, yet we have people who treat this job too seriously. There's a culture of "Only the Strong Survive". Well, it's more of "Only the Dumb Stay". The managers at this store have chosen to stick by here at this store for over a decade. That's some loyalty, but why choose to stay loyal here of all places? Do you feel fulfilled and happy with your work? Or do you choose to take your frustration out, whether it be frustration stemming from your own awful personal lives that have deteriorated from your choice of working at a place like this, on other coworkers, only leading to them being more miserable and subsequently the customer being more miserable? To all customers who have left reviews showcasing how bad this store is: Thank you. There are obviously paper chasers here. Yes Money is important, but all of the managers here are shallow enough to find their only happiness in a weekend full of alcohol, rather than finding something else. Lack of maturity from these people. 3. Refusal to hire and train. Adding onto the "pump and dump" scheming here: just like any business they expect maximum "efficiency". Which is fair. However, it is obvious that there is short staffing here. And the work culture here, where "Only the Strong Survive", is that of people calling out being looked "down upon". At this point in their lives, calling out is moving in the right direction. It's a shame that even amongst the employees here, the older and longer "tenured" chess pieces look to compete for only themselves and think so conservatively rather than find work that brings other people up and moves forward. Please respect your overworked Lowe's employee. Please say anything you want to the incompetent managers here. In addition, the training that occurs here is ineffective. No one knows where anything is. Not even the Bullshit websites and applications on Lowe's. Great. A lot of the managers, who have the lowest sense of financial literacy in the world, are only in this job to find a source of money that they could use to spend for one weekend and be unhappy for the rest of their lives. Nothing wrong with getting money, but at least do a decent job where you don't piss off your employees. It's San Francisco, it's going to be busy, so hire more. If you want to stop losing money, stop being dumb and save up. As someone who is speaking on behalf of a friend who worked here and toiled here, that has had to seek therapy to recover from this experience, I thought it was right for me to let others know the experience you're getting into before ending up like them. There are a number of employees who you should avoid, particularly in Pro Services, Appliances, and Paint Departments. It would be unfair for these people, especially those who are trying to retire soon, to lose their livelihoods as a result. The employees are always undertrained, understaffed, and overworked. Clean up your act Lowe's. And I could go longer with the amount of Antivaxxers, Neo-Nazis, Racists, Gun lovers, and Misogynists that are employed here. But no. It's just a Lowe's right. read more

Retailers need to be online and pickup only, here's my Lowe's "Sneezer" experience in the email I sent them. This morning I went to pickup an order that I placed online yesterday afternoon, I received the email that my order was ready the night I placed it. I went to the Lowe's store in Keller Tx. at 600 N. Tarrant Pkwy and found the designated parking spots for pickup orders which were oddly fully vacant as the store was clearly busy, I'm sure it was way above the recommended capacity. At the designated parking spots, there was a sign with a phone number to call upon arrival, which I did twice only to hear a message that "the voice mailbox for this number was not yet setup". I was trying to avoid going into the store as I think that every retailer should be using pickup and delivery only just like how restaurants are closed entirely, like my own guitar shop. BTW, the purchasing of toilet paper requiring people to physically go into the stores and not ordered online or on pickup orders is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. It would be much easier to control the hoarders with some simple code mods which is already in place with email address duplication on most every websites. Anyway, I tried to make the best of this, put a bandanna over my nose and mouth, latex gloves on my hands thinking at least I have a good parking spot with little risk of door dings. I proceeded to make my way inside the store and stood in line at the customer service counter, where the floor was marked with proper spacing. I chose to stand 2 spaces back instead of 1, which proved to be a wise decision. With a customer at each of the 3 registers which are probably 3" apart, clearly too close, I waited about 15-20' back. The customer at the middle register turned and openly sneezed twice, not covering his mouth with his hand, elbow, or anything else. No one batted an eye although the lady to his left, the direction he turned to sneeze, probably thought, "Gross." as he finished up his business, I said to him as he walked away, 'Sir, you need to cover you nose and mouth when you sneeze." He replied, "I did.", I responded, No, you did not.". Because of the uncovered sneeze, I waited a little bit and finally approached the register from the right, trying to stay as far away from where he sneezed as possible. I asked the clerk why I had to come inside for a pickup the order. The clerk said the process was not yet fully worked out, despite everything being prepaid. I pointed out to the clerk the sneezes and when such an action occurs, someone from the store needs to immediately disinfect the area. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid and apologized to her if I was a bit direct, not rude, even though was clearly upset. Known Covid-19 cases in our county have been increasing at about 30-40 a day meaning that there are probably 150 or so people out there not know since the avg incubation rate is about 5 days. These new 30-40 cases per day has remained fairly consistent so you can assume that 30-40 people are exposed each day as well. This guy who sneezed, could have infected up to 7 people in that one moment.Now, I went outside doused every part of my body with hand sanitizer even in my nasal cavities after taking off my bandanna. I then went home threw my clothes in the washing machine and showered. I didn't want to expose my family and I actually questioned myself afterward if I should have even gone home at all, of course, it was now too late. Bottom line, I hold your store as responsible as the person who sneezed. Your pickup order process is purposed to allow people to shop without physically entering your store. However, it is severely flawed as is the rest of procedures in the store such as disinfecting and crowd control. My own precautions and actions will hopefully prevent me from the infection, if the "Sneezer" who hopefully is not infected nor infected others. read more

Wow. Where do I start. If you want to waste time and money, or you just want to watch the @#$#-show, try this store. I am a Home Improvement Professional. I do this for a living. Like most San Francisco GC's and Home Improvement people I avoid THIS Lowes. (The one in South San Francisco is all right if you don't special order anything). Last year my lumber and hardware purchases were over $150000. I certainly won't be spending it at Lowe's this year. The service here is really really really bad. Case in point: I went in to get a piece of glass cut. I was in a hurry, and driving past, and thought I would give them another chance. Big mistake. I went to the hardware department to get my glass (one piece, value about $7). I waited a few minutes, went looking for someone, waited a little longer, tapped my foot. A manager walking past said he would get me someone right away. He went and paged the hardware person. No one came. A random employee came and cut some keys for someone, but was unable to cut a piece of glass (not trained). Probably someone who did inventory. Waited a bit longer. Another person from the prodesk came by. Instead of just cutting my piece of glass (takes about two minutes if you know what you are doing), he went and paged the hardware guy... A bit more waiting... At this point I was up to 30 minutes, and was not going to have time to finish my work that day. Plus, when charging $80 an hour to my customer, it would have cost me more to come here than almost any other option (I would never charge my customers for this kind of crap though). Finally a nice employee named Mustafa offered to help... He took about 15 minutes to cut the glass, and broke one piece, but at least he took care of me. So final verdict: 1.25 hours at $80 (that I am unable to reasonably charge my customer) for a $7 piece of glass means that I lost $93 in labor by wasting my time here. Not to mention that it screwed my schedule up for the following day because I had finish the glazing job which means I had to do more set up at another job, etc... etc... etc... Can I bill Lowe's for my time? Would have been better to go to any glass shop, and pay $20 or more, but get what I wanted right away. So in short, the store is chronically understaffed, and Lowes seems to be unwilling to pay the money to actually hire extra employees. I guess they like their cash cow here in SF. On the other hand, it might not remain a cash cow when people start realizing that places like Center Hardware, Beronio, and other business in the Bayview/Dogpatch commercial area offer MUCH better service and more consistent quality at what turns out to be comparable prices or better prices. Maybe someone at Lowe's corporate will realize they are poisoning the well, and actually do something right. Ohh, not to mention the time I had my truck broken into and items stolen in the parking lot, yet their security won't even review their footage to see who did it and keep them out in the future. I guess they really don't care much about protecting their paying customers. I will not be shopping at this store in the future, and probably be avoiding their other stores where I can. read more

store #1681 Pembroke pines Florida. My husband and I ordered hurricane impact windows and doors for our entire home from your company because we believed it would have been best going through a large chain as yourself especially since we already have a lowes credit card. However this has been nothing but disappointing to say the least. It has been a couple months of waiting and still after 2 deliveries of my windows which should have been 1 delivery I still do not have my windows and my installation is this weekend September 1, 2018. After speaking with a few of the delivery guys that brought some of the windows to our home, we have come to understand that this is a common thing that happens with your company. We were initially being pushed to have the windows delivered 2 days prior to install by the delivery company and I declined. I advised her that I would want the windows to be delivery a minimum of 1 week to ensure that we had ample time to check that wad received all our windows and doors so that we would have no issue for install. Thank god I did that. My first delivery was August 26, 2018 the guys showed up and thought all was done. Thank god I also work in design and construction and had the senses to pick up on that what was delivered was not all the proper measured openings of what was ordered. I wrote the missing items on the bottom of the delivery sheet and then contacted your company lowes again. We emailed Monique Roberson the (install sales manager) and copied Allen J Thomas (Lowes project specialist exterior) re our issue and to make sure we went inside the store on August 27, 2018 and spoke with a Claudia and another young lady in the installation department and waited there for about 40 minutes to ensure that all the missing sliding door panels and screens were located in the store and available for delivery the following day. Everything was confirmed by Monique Roberson the (install sales manager) and we would receive yet another delivery before 11am on August 28th, 2018. August 28, 2018 the delivery guys showed up with only 3 out of the 5 panels that were missing and 2 screens. This infuriated us to the max and we once again reached out to the store and to Allen and we are still yet to receive a resolution of our other panels. The lack of customer service and the lack of care is definitely making me want to close my Lowes credit card and never do business with you guys ever again. The worst part about this is that within the first week I referred your company to my godson's mothers just to find out that the service would be this bad. I have already warned them in what to expect. I look forward to a contact, some form of credit and a fast resolution. read more

Large appliance EXTENDED WARRANTY buyers BEWARE!!!!!!! Extended warranty replacement = SWEET LIES My $2,500 Whirlpool refrigerator has been down since June 2015. I was told that I would get a new refrigerator after the 3rd repair. They sent the technicians (A&E/SEARS) more than 10 visits from which they have worked on my fridge four times. They keep refusing to provide a new fridge saying that all of these repairs count as one repair. They say that each repair within 30 days falls under the same repair. If they send them every 2-3 weeks all year long, you don't qualify for your new appliance. They will tell you that you don't qualify for new fridge but for a new service visit. I lost more than $1,200.00 on food and missed days from work. I have to take a day off every 2 weeks! If you like to waste money and days from work buy the extended warranty! Lowes don't care about your applience issues and violates your consumer rights! I chose this store over Home Depot because the large display but I regret this decision. Don't get the extended warranty and hire a real certified technician for your appliance repairs. Not to mention the poor quality job performance from A&E leaving screws everywhere and appliances 2 feet away from where they were (hazardous for babies or pets around the house) I have photos and proof of what I'm saying. They don't have the skills/tools to professionally test your appliance but they love to guess needed parts! What a disappointment:( read more

My Lowes experience with a kitchen remodel has been atrocious and just keeps getting worse. 1. They completely stood me up delivering my order (after taking 4 hours off work). There was no phone call or any notice they weren't coming. 2. When trying to follow up on where my items were or why they werent delivered NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE...I called around 30 times over the course of 4 hours and finally called a different store and asked them to call on my behalf. Completely ridiculous. 3. After 3 days of no contact after the scheduled delivery someone finally calls to schedule it. She told me not to "get smart" after I expressed my frustration about the situation and wanting to confirm it would actually happen. 4. On the second delivery attempt only one item came out of the 2. There was no prior communication that only part of my order was coming or when the rest of my order would get here. Repeat the non answering phone situation. 5. My refrigerator is yet to arrive and is currently 2 weeks late. But I guess that's ok because the cabinets are late too? Speaking of which.... The cherry on the cake is that my kitchen cabinet "designer" didn't know what they were doing and now my custom cabinets are wrong (after waiting 7 weeks for them) . I spent around $8k all in with Lowes and this is what i get. I have been living without a kitchen for 2 months now and there is still no end in sight. What can I say ? absolutely terrible service, its like a huge home improvement store was air dropped into San Francisco and it was filled with a bunch of college dropout good for absolutely nothing idiots who care more about how big their ass looks than helping customers, unless you know the product that you're looking for and the isle that its hidden, on forget about going here. their service is the worst I have ever experienced. Its like talking Chinese to an Arab. Lowes really need to think about what this store should represent, I would recommend to them that they close the store for at least a week and start training their staff immediately otherwise I doubt this store will last. yes its great to have a big store like this in San Francisco it saves people going out of the city to home depot in Colma and Daly city but to expose people to this type of service will mean no repeat custom. They are understaffed and under informed about anything in their store, Please Lowes I would like to see this store progress its time to train your staff as to what goes where and how to respond to customers. There are only three letters you need to remember. LOW That's their stock ticker. It also is the type of a retailer that they represent. Low quality and low service. We had ordered an appliance in the past. Biggest mistake of my life. The ordeal was the worst experience someone can have buying something to replace their appliance. The time the lack of accountability and for the most part an utterly poor shopping experience. When we ordered the item we had a posted date as the others have said. However when it came time to deliver they missed the mark entirely. No call saying that they won't deliver the date that they gave. If you need to buy ANYTHING that is home good and appliances there are options. Home Depot for one regularly checks on its vendors. Best Buy you have the reassurance that you get what you paid for. And even Sears if you have one in your area is entirely more professional than the management and midmanagers at this location. If you want to take weeks and months to resolve something that should take at most a week plus then shop here. However, you have been warned. Their returns are also subjective. If it is an appliance you risk them not taking it back. Make sure to shop elsewhere. The rating speaks for itself. I made that mistake to think that they have improved. If I could give this company a ZERO, I would. Lowe's has the most unresponsive customer service EVER. I unfortunately placed an order online on the 29th of November with an estimated arrival on the first week of December and it has not yet arrived by today (Dec 25th--CHRISTMAS). The FedEx tracking history stops at the 6th of December with no further updates since then. (Purchases from other online shops at a further date all arrived.) I've written 5 separate e-mails and STILL have not gotten a response--no, Lowe's, the automated message DOESN'T COUNT. Apart from the disappointment, it's just disrespectful to be ignored after having paid the amount of money. I've been more than patient considering the holiday season and the possible delays, but this is RIDICULOUS. Obviously, I would like a REFUND on this order as it's already the end of the holiday, but I can't get ahold of anyone... Quite honestly, I feel like I've been robbed. I WANT MY MONEY BACK, LOWE'S. I have just tried doing business with Lowe's online and I recommend that NO ONE do this. Their systems are designed to provide incomplete and incorrect information! I ordered a ceiling lamp on 12/22/17 and got an email saying my order is "in process". When I didn't receive any updates I called almost a week later and was told that this was a special order and the vendor didn't update the information (please notice that they immediately blamed the vendor). I was assured that the order would be updated and it would be delivered prior to 1/1/18. When I h as DELIVEREDit 12/29/17 and still had no updates, I called again and was told they couldn't provide me with any further information because it was Saturday and the vendor was closed. I checked the order status this morning (1/3/18) and it's listed as DELIVERED!!!!! So, yet again, I call and I am told that if the order goes past the delivery date it AUTOMATICALLY says "delivered." In other words, they knowingly provide inaccurate information. When I asked them to provide some form of recompense for spending hours of my time I was quoted fine print from the online purchase agreement. Yes, really! What are they willing to do? I will never order another appliance from Lowes. I'm renovating a house and ordered 6 appliances from Lowes over 2 months ago. When I ordered them they said they were all "in stock". One day after I placed the order the circus began. First call was to say they're waiting on 3 of the products which were back ordered and the order would be delayed a month. A month later the day the appliances were supposed to be delivered I got a call saying 2 of the appliances were still not in stock and it would be 2 more weeks. 2 weeks later on the day they were supposed to be delivered I got a call and they said they didn't know when they would be in stock and would call me back "sometime soon". I've never ordered appliances from Lowes before and I will never order appliances from Lowes again. My customers angry, I'm angry, and Lowes just says sorry nothing we can do. In all my years on this earth I've never seen anything like this. Totally incompetent and most definitely unprofessional.
