Came here to canvas out on buying a fridge. I decided to come here 1st since its in the neighborhood. There's many options to choose from, a few on sale. I checked on-line but I feel being there, actually viewing the fridge is more promising. I was gonna go else where but I made a decision & Lena helped me out. She was fun & nice to work w/ on the process of the purchase. She had to make some adjustments w/ the help of management & it all worked out. Small business owner and Lowe's customer who has spent $100k at their bay shore location. We bought a new washing machine after the last one purchased from them broke. Salesperson said they would take our broken washing machine , deliver and install new machine and everything from A-Z would be handled. Delivery was a 3rd party company who insisted they don't do installs and in order to take the old machine , WE would have to disassemble. Our choices were : refuse delivery and return or install ourselves. We did not know what to do , only that dirty laundry was stacking up and we would speak to a manager the following Monday. Husband spoke to Brandon Rattan who apologized and offered $100 for us to get someone to install. Not knowing how much we'd be charged to have it installed, my husband went with it. Plumbers charged $1032.00 to disassemble and install. When I called headquarters, they also apologized profusely but that was the extent. Bait and switch at best. I will NEVER spend a single dollar at Lowe's again. A $900 washing machine ended up costing me $2000. Meanwhile, I bought a washer dryer for an empty unit from Home Depot and they carried both huge machines up 3 flights of stairs with a smile, took out old washer and dryer , installed new set within 35 mins. Recently purchased a countertop ice maker from Lowe's online. I have not been able to get the machine to function. I phoned the Customer Service number (877) 465-6937, to no avail. Apparently, they are in a different time zone. I phoned the local number (San Francisco) for Customer Service, and after being stuck in AI hell for a time, I was transferred to a live agent... or so I was told. But the line just rang endlessly and no one ever picked up. I also reached out to the manufacturer, but that was just as bad... I was asked to send copies of my receipt, an image of the back plate with Model information AND to send a video of what was happening (or not happening, in my case). I guess I'll have to use up my $6.00-per-gallon gas and drive this unit over to the store for a refund. This is rediculous! read more

There is a big parking garage attached to this Lowe's so it's convenient to find parking, especially in an industrial area of SF. I had placed an online order for pickup and the pickup location is right inside the main entrance. However, they have two pick up options - one for pickup lockers, which is the first thing you see. If your order is not placed in a locker for whatever reason, you go further in to type in your number into a tablet and a human will come out and bring out your order - it was a bit confusing at first to orient myself but I was able to flag down a staff member to assist me. read more

Absolutely horrible, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWES, spent about 10k on appliances and bathroom fixtures for our new house. Oven came in last week, delivery guys ran out of the house so fast after I had to chase them down to give them their drill and the old fridge doors they were supposed to take away. Then I unbox the oven the following week for my contractor to install and the whole bottom was smashed in, called lowes they said because it had been more than 5 days I can't get a refund or exchange, are you fing serious? ANd becuase it's been less than a year their protection plan doesn't kick in yet, they kicked me to fridgedaire (manufacturer) who tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it to be repaired, I finally convinced them to pay for all repairs. I will be charing this back since I bought a new oven not one that fell off a cargo ship and was then repaired by a handyman. Hopefully when they lose all the money on this sale it will make them learn. Also bought a vanity the door on it came in all scraped up, the box it came in was in fine condition so it's obvious it was packaged already messed up. I called them they said "oh it's another business that just sells through us so we can't send you a door" if you bring it back to a physical location we can refund you and order a new one" I explained I don't have a car that can fit it and the closes lowes is 30 miles away, they refused to do anything but give me a $50 discount on a $600 item, so I will charge this back too. What a difference! As you can tell from my previous review, I had a very negative experience at this Lowe's location in the past. In fact, it was not my choice to return to this place at all. However, I was accompanying someone in picking up a water heater that was listed in stock, and that we thought would just be on the showroom floor. As luck would have it, the water heater was in stock, but was on a shelf, so we had to call for help. It took a few minutes to find someone, and we were told we would have to wait. Immediately, my heart sank, and I was afraid we would be waiting for hours like last time. I absolutely hate this Lowe's and only come here as a last resort. Every single time I visit, it's a complete disaster. The staff are consistently rude, unhelpful, and act like customers are an inconvenience rather than the reason they have a job. On my most recent visit, I was clearly lost and looking for assistance. When I finally found someone on the floor and politely asked for help, she snapped, "I'm on break, don't talk to me," and walked away without a second thought. Then I came across two other employees just sitting around chatting. When I asked them where to find an item, they acted annoyed that I dared interrupt their social hour, lazily pointed somewhere in the back, and went right back to their conversation. Later, I saw one of those same employees again. Instead of offering help when he saw me still searching, he looked me dead in the eye, ignored me, and walked away. This has to be one of the worst hardware stores if you actually need assistance. Better study the store layout ahead of time because you'll be on your own the staff certainly won't help you and clearly don't care. That's my overall opinion: avoid this place if you value your time, your sanity, or even basic human decency read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been the worst customer experience I've ever had -- not just with a hardware store, but with any company. I've had good experiences with Lowe's in other counties, but the San Francisco store is a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot in Daly City instead -- the staff there are knowledgeable, responsive, and actually care. Back in March 2025, I used Lowe's measuring service for new flooring. From that point on, it's been a complete disaster. I was harassed daily by aggressive sales calls pushing me to purchase. Eventually, I gave in and paid for both the flooring and the installation, hoping that would make the process smooth. It's now June 13th, and my floors are still not done. Lowe's has dropped the ball at every single step: I was told delivery would take 1-2 weeks. Nothing arrived. I had to call daily just to be told it was "on its way." It wasn't. I went into the store and waited for hours before someone finally figured out that the order was sitting -- untouched -- in a warehouse in San Bruno. Then, the installation team said they couldn't come for another two months -- and that they'd charge extra for moving furniture and removing old flooring, despite my receipt clearly stating those services were included. I canceled their installation and hired my own team -- only to discover Lowe's had rerouted the flooring to a different city hours away. On multiple occasions, I took time off work to wait for scheduled deliveries that never showed up. I've lost thousands in income and expenses. The person that sold me the flooring oversold me on both vinyl plank and carpet, so the access sat in my buildings garage util finally (after multiple atttempts) they picked it up. I had to physically go into the SF store and refuse to leave until someone helped me. Eventually, the store manager personally delivered the flooring... but even then, they left out critical parts like transitions and baseboards. My installer had to use cheap metal ones, and now I have to pay extra to fix it. As I write this, I'm still living in a construction zone. My home has been torn up for months. I even had to put my mother in a hotel during her visit -- costing me over $2,000 -- because I couldn't host her. This whole experience has been exhausting, expensive, and has taken a toll on my health. Nobody at Lowe's takes responsibility, follows up, or cares enough to make things right. I'm now exploring legal action to recover damages. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

On the day it was supposed to be ready the web site update it as delayed Today is April 22nd and it's still delayed. The delay is not the problem. Tried calling the store multiple times for a status update. No one ever answered. I then called corporate customer service who contacted the vendor and was told the item had been delivered. They transferred me to the store through their "secret" number and was told they didn't have the item. I questioned how long it would take and was told "I don't know what to tell you, goodbye." Called corporate again and was told the same thing, then tranfeback to the store Finally got someone on the line that explained that after almost 7 weeks the item was in their distribution center, and that it may reach the store in 2- 3 weeks. The product isn't the problem. The customer service leaves much to be desired Lesson learned: don't order an item online that isn't in stock. read more

This Lowe's on Bayshore Boulevard does have just about everything you need, which is why I'm giving it two stars instead of one -- but actually finding what you need is another story. The store feels disorganized, and items are often not where you'd expect them to be. Signage isn't very helpful, and it's tough to track things down without wandering around for a long time. Getting assistance is also hit or miss. It can be hard to find an employee, and when you do, they don't always know where things are located. If you're patient and have time to search, you'll eventually find what you need. But for quick or straightforward trips, this location can be frustrating. With better organization and more available help, it could be a much better shopping experience. read more

When me and my family walked up in associate immediately stood attention between us and the door along with the White security guard, staring at us as we were checking out. I started an order online to have a toilet installed. Everything was good until I had to add another toilet ordered/installed. I called their 800 number to see if I could add another toilet and install. The toilet I was able to add but the install so I called their customer service and the agent said he was able to and so I followed all the steps giving him all my info he requested and had me sign an addendum and the credit card screen even said the charge was successful but I checked later on and there was no charges to my card for the install and the order on site was not updated. So I called them again and they said it was not possible to just add labor but I told them I signed an addendum confirming the changes and additional charges. They said I needed to cancel the additional toilet and start over and I can do this with my local store in San Francisco. The agent tried to transfer me to the store and failed because no one answered the phone. So I myself tried....I went through their AI operator that was a task in itself and then I got ring tone for 5 or so minutes. I hung up. Called again same AI operator prompts, ringtone a few minutes then FINALLY got a live human being. They tried to add labor only on their end on the original order but couldn't do it as well. So they cancelled the additional toilet on my original order and created a new order. Then after I got off the phone with them I checked the new order and it had a delivery fee charged to me which was not mentioned and wasn't charged on my previous order since a contractor was going to pick it up. SO I tried calling the SF location again to try to get the delivery fee deleted and this time I waited much longer twice with ringtones just going on and on both times I had it on speakerphone from 10-20 minutes while tending to other tasks. NO ONE BOTHERED TO ANSWER!!!!! Why is there practically NO ONE to answer a simple phone call?! read more

Two interactions: one to ask a specific type of screw where i was sent to "the middle of alley" with no answer to the question "maybe you have a bin/area number". Second instance of no greeting, no please, no announcing the amount, no thank you at payment but a sad face chewing a gum. Got a better smile at Rikers Island in the 60s. This is a typical experience, even though the staff includes a few team members who have not lost any sense of customer service. Only bright spot was a smile with a "good day" after checkout. I used Lowe's curbside pickup for the first time today and it was awful. I arrived, checked in, and waited 1 hour and 19 minutes before finally going inside to ask about the delay. Apparently, only one worker was handling curbside while others appeared to be standing around. Enrique assisted me, understood my frustration, and made sure all my bins were in good condition before loading them into my vehicle. (One of the bins originally pulled for my order had a hole in it--whoever gathered it clearly didn't check properly and needs retraining.) Horrible online ordering process. Defaulted to northern address instead of address typed in. Could not edit or delete the order even though I saw the error immediately. Was told by Customer Care that only the vendors could change the destination. Vendor 1 (MWE Investments) answered but on hold and eventually said no agents available. Happened multiple times. Vendor 2 (Royal Gourmet Corp) had recording saying voice mail not set up. Tried local stores in Venice, FL and Murphy, NC. Was told they could not help. Was finally directed by Customer Care rep to FedEx freight department where Brandy sent email to MWE Investments with attached forms for redirection. No response. After multiple efforts I was directed to Kerri in the NC freight office. She managed to send the item to the Murphy Lowe's store where Teresa processed a return. FedEx employees worked very hard to help me over the course of nearly two weeks. Lowe's was worthless until the item reached their store. Outrageous process for online ordering where you're actually ordering direct from vendors, not Lowe's, with no ability to correct an error. read more

Bought a fridgidaire washer and dryer in 2008 and it's still running. Bought a whirlpool wfw5620 washer and dryer in 2019 to replace Frigidaire unit. After 7 yrs of use, the whirlpool units have each required a repair due to poor quality materials or workmanship. The washer door boot seal is shredded yet the 18yr old Frigidaire has never required a door boot change. They say it's because of overloading or objects in wash. Then why is the 18yr old unit still running without this problem?.....we are gentle on our appliances. Same problem with our whirlpool/ Kenmore frig. Dead in first year of due to poor quality fan and later ther defrost switch. I keep spare parts on the fridge as I can't wait for warranty repairs that take two weeks to schedule. Who can live without a fridge for two weeks?....all these appliances bought between 2014 and 2019. Lowes and manufacturer both did not step up. So I don't be buying from them again. read more

It's Sunday May 11 2025... I have to drive over to Lowes to pick up a 4'x8' one inch thick R-Tech styrofoam 'wall board'. I use this material to line the interior of shipping boxes for large fragile items, such as antique clocks, glass, etc. I've been doing this for years. I walk down the aisle where they are on display - done this many times. I then note the price of $32??? clearly marked where the boards are on the wall. What?? The price is usually around $14 bucks. Have to hunt around for a Lowes employee. Find a woman and man doing absolutely nothing other than have a friendly conversation with eachother. I ask for help & explain the situation. She says, 'you'll have to speak to someone in building supplies'. Not let me help you and look into this. Resumes conversation with her co-worker. I see two Lowes employees unloading building material in one aisle. Explained situation and showed them picture of price for the styrofoam board on display wall. Shrugs shoulders and says 'I don't do pricing' and then tells me to go to Customer Service on the other side of the store. Customer Service guy scrolls my phone looking at the on-line price that I had since accessed on my phone. I ask him how can a 4x8 x 1/2 inch thick wallboard cost $9.70 and then jump up to $32 for a one inch thick piece? Response was "I don't have anything to do with pricing products". He apparently doesn't think this is bizarre, possibly a mis-labeling of price within the store, bother to VOLUNTEER to CHECK THIS OUT, or contact the manager in building supplies to resolve this pricing issue. His only response was, 'you don't have to yell at me, I don't set pricing!' I was definitely frustrated or 'animated' but NOT 'yelling'. The lack of service and/or intelligence, the unwillingness to research the correct price is simply beyond belief with the four Lowes employees that I encountered at Lowes. I left knowing I was not going to receive one iota of help. Oh, the price for a 48"x96"x1 inch thick styrofoam wall board is $13.60. Lowes is without question at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to customer service! Minus 5 stars! read more
