It was Black Friday and needing a new refrigerator I headed out to see if I could snag a good deal. I walked in and immediately got sidetracked by all the cute Christmas inflatables, trees and decorations they had on display. I really love the holiday season and I could have definitely spent more time here just looking at everything but I had a mission to accomplish. I headed over to the refrigerator section and spent a good amount of time here just looking and comparing prices and features. While I was looking 3 different employees offered to help, but not in an annoying "I need the commission" kind of way but more like " I'm here if you need me" kind of way. After looking I still wanted to compare to Home Depot prices and offerings so I took a drive over there since it's only a couple of miles from Lowe's. I wasn't wowed by anything there so back to Lowe's I went. I tried not to get sidetracked by the holiday stuff again (it didn't work) and I picked the refrigerator I wanted. Checkout was super easy and I was excited to great that I got another 10% off the already marked down price! Lowe's is known for all their home improvement materials and I could see why. Home Improvement mega store off I75 and Sheridan Street. Needed the heavy duty plastic storage bins that Lowes carry and have random deep discounts. In stock they had plenty of the red and black Craftsman 40 Gallon storage bins listed for $44.95 but the staff advised it was misprinted for the gallon size and its true price was $34.95. The staffer advised that the yellow and black Heavy Duty Project Source Commander 27 gallon storage bins were on sale for $9.98 which is only $1.00 off. Im going to come back at random for a better deal. Great location to purchase steel trailers which are displayed at the front of the store next to the indoor lumber yard for $1700 - $2300. read more

Terrible experience. They withhold information about their offers, they give false advertising and they deceive their customers. No wonder the stores are almost empty. They have a sign that says you will get 12 months with no interest if you spend $299 or more in a product. They they also tell you to apply for their store card and you will get 20% off, up to $100 credit back. They are promoting two totally different offers and then they say you cannot apply both. AFTER they check your credit and leave you stuck with a Lowes card that you wouldn't have applied if it wasn't for the offer they advertised, they tell you that you cannot apply both offers. NO WHERE in the store or online it says it's one or the other... you only find this out after. How does that make sense? Not cool Lowes, I will never be buying with you again. If it wasn't because it would affect my credit AGAIN, I will close/cancel the card right now. If deceiving your customers is what you need in order to keep your stores opened, then keep it going cause it looks like you might be closing soon. read more

Terrible service if you're not a caucasian person don't come here you will be treated terribly, went to purchase and cut some blinds here and they did attempt to help us out but the person in charge of the levalor blind cutting machine was busy and not attentive, so they sent a woman to cover but she couldn't login to the machine so we continued to wait for assistance, so after being left there like we were trash and after a long 40 minute wait the guy that was supposedly in charge of the levalor blind cutting machine that was supposedly busy calls out and says sorry I made you guys wait but I have to leave, so we told him why you make us wait if you were just gonna leave ?? And proceeded to give us no response turned his back and proceeded to leave the establishment with out letting any manager know or having any type of customer care, just a very unsettling experience no manager involved care or anything by these folks either so I am convinced there was some type of bias involved, just a horrible experience and I hope they don't keep getting away with these types of despicable unfair and unprofessional behavior, Sincerely the guy you treated like trash read more

I am still a fan of Lowes overall. I feel it is a clean store and they have pleasant and professional employees. Long story short...I am having issues with them installing a closet door. First, the door and wood that was delivered was damaged. They redeliver and the installer notices a bunch of chips on this door. He kindly brings the door back to the Lowes I bought it from. Actually it is two doors involved and Lowes only had one. Installer has to go to Davie Lowes and all of those are damaged too! Installer told me he sees this over and over. The manufacturer paints the door too quickly and then closes it? Something like that. Customers and Installers are dealing with this nonsense. It is a waste of time and energy for everyone. Lowes...put your foot down and demand better quality doors for us. I am sure you have the power to make this happen. Burt in Millworks has worked tirelessly with me to get all of this resolved. I remember I purchased around 80% of all materials and supplies needed to renovate significant portions of my home, tens of thousands back then and it was an entirely different experience when I could walk into the store and find helpful staff in a reasonable amount of time. That's no more and because of this I find myself more and more at Home Depot or Amazon. Today is a perfect example: Went to the SW Ranches store to purchase a $30 mailbox to replace one damaged by a passing vehicle. Found the right size but didn't see the color I wanted so I went around looking for help to find out how to get the mailbox in that color but no, was unable to find help. The sole guy around was working with a forklift and not available. Customer service wouldn't help me without an item number (how could I have such if the item is not on the floor? beats me.) Walked around a bit and no staff to help so I walked out. Upon arriving back home I went online, found the desired item at Home Depot and ordered (being delivered tomorrow). Now, the loss of a $30 sale is not the issue IMO. The issue is that like most reasonable customers I am not likely to return to Lowe's for future purchases and will go where I remember having a better experience and yes, I spend a few thousand dollars each year both inside and outside my home. It's the loss of the thousands of dollars in the purchase of items that Lowe's sells but which are likely to go to Home Depot or Amazon all because they can't have reasonable customer care at the stores. It amazes me when I read how any business is struggling in a competitive marketplace, their CEOs babble junk all day and yet they all forgot the basics of customer service that are as good today as ever. I miss the old crew at Lowe's people who were present to help. They're no longer there and I wonder why? read more

We alway get greeted when we walk in. It's so easy to find what you are looking for the isles are so clear they have great deals always and just about everything you need for work or building anything . Only at Lowe's will they sell you boxes of tile that are supposed to be one color and your receive terrible multicolored tile (see photos). If installed, they will not give you a refund. Not only are you down your installation cost but your material costs too. We went to Lowe's expecting a major corporation to stand behind their product. No longer takes returns or gives a store credit without a receipt or the card you paid with. Nothing they can do if your card was changed or was lost/stolen to check purchases. SMH And their receipts are useless because they print on thermal paper that fades. Nothing like stealing the consumer's hard earned money. read more

This has to be the worst customer service I have ever encountered. We sat and waited around for Raymond and the other gentleman (regret not getting his name) for 45 minutes as they pretended to be looking for the patio furniture we wanted to buy. The other gentleman was actually hiding in between the isles pretending to be working..... waiting for the store to close. Neither of them wanted to help, they kept telling us to go to the Pembroke Pines store instead. We were ready to spend well over $800 and they basically kicked us out of the store. WOW, WOW, WOW! Just found my favorite home improvement store. I walked in and within a couple of minutes someone's asking how they could help. I needed drawer sliders and CEACER and his partner GEORGE (forgive me if I got George's name wrong - I do remember he was wearing a mask) were amazing. Broward has really opened my eyes to new businesses. Being a Miami girl, Home Depot was the only home improvement option for me and let's be honest I don't fit the generic Home Depot customer profile so it was daunting. Lowes definitely has a warmer approach. Being a new home owner, I was clueless and on trips without the boyfriend it was great to have welcoming staff. I appreciate the team in doors for deals with my questions, change of mind of products and ultimately delivery of products to my home. I also think their selection of patio furniture is great! The customer service at the main desk is horrendous! You can't get a hold of anyone because all they do is answer to put you on hold at great length. They don't come back most of the time, and if they do, they just abruptly pick up and throw you back on hold. The front customer service desk needs training of how to be courteous and professional. I've had to drive to the store four times when I could have and should have, been able to handle with phone calls. read more

Had a new washer and dryer installed. Installer said couldn't attach one of the new hoses as the old one was stuck on. I later had no trouble getting it started with light pressure using plyers. I probably could have done it by hand. Far worse, the washer outlet hose didn't reach the hole in the wall. Our laundry room got flooded. After we used all the towels in the house, I fixed the outlet hose problem by detaching it from a clip on the back of the washer. The worst installation I have ever experienced. Not just sloppy and lazy, but the installer must have known what would happen and didn't care. Update: Lowe's called me and provided a partial refund. So I am satisfied and increased the rating. read more

Horrible customer service! You come to return some items that when they scan them they're telling you it belongs to them but since you don't have a receipt, they cannot give you a store credit . They claim that the drivers license is not allowing it when the driver license has nothing to do with a return is the system that is declining it even though the item is theirs. multiple times of this happening and by the way we're trying to return $12 worth of merchandise The girls in the front just don't give a damn about customer service after we have renovated a $1 million home using their products. Lowe's management have told me countless lies and pointed fingers at Town of Davie building dept. For dragging their feet on permits, which calling them was told that was false! I would give 0 stars if it was possible! Ordered and paid for a faucet that I needed quickly from the Pompano Beach store. Online stated next day pick-up. Checked online all day, called the automated number and by 4PM it said scheduled for pick-up the middle of next week! I called service desk to cancel order and an idiot answered saying hold on to speak to someone else. She left me on hold then hung up. I called back and the service desk didn't answer, so after 3 times I called the 800 number and was put on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up! This is a terrible way to do business! Unprofessionalism at its best. Do not expect to ever get a call from him even when promised by a store employee. Dealing with him in person is even worst. I had some custom blinds re-cut there and the the clerk super patient and helpful. She went to a lot of trouble ensuring I got what I needed. She was conscientious and went above and beyond. For the corporate presence this operation has the can't function properly. This weekend 1/31/2021 I am here to pick up two screen doors that were ordered and I received a notification of their delivery. This is one of my favorite Lowes stores to visit. The hospitality and personality and customer service skills of all their employees are better than any of the department hardware stores I have been to. Especially their knowledge every time I have a question they always seem to have the answer for me, if they don't they find somebody who does, to me that's very important I like to take on experiments and do some of my own housework and projects to save money and having to hire somebody, so having somebody that can help me out and guide me in the right direction is always helpful. Their gardening outdoor section is very big they have a large selection of plants rocks soil you name it they have it, hardware is also a very big department for them they have just about anything that you need. Favorite part of their store is a tool section just like any guy I love my tools. DeWalt, Kobalt, Milwaukee they have it all. They also have a very large selection when it comes to paint, they can match just about any color, and have a large selection in Purdy products. No complaints A+. read more

Lowes advertised on National Television a special where you would register on Thursday April 1st for a free family garden kit (to be picked up on the next set of Thursdays in April). This was also featured in the national news. Well... my husband tried to register at the store because I could not register online. I wrote to complain and the answer Lowes gave me was too bad, the website crashed and they were not going to do anything about it. I call this false advertising, or at the very least, Bait and Switch (come in to register for free stuff and spend money instead - which is what my husband did). Very clean and always organized store. I can walk in and get that one thing I need and be out in a few minutes. The only problem is that they have so many goodies to look at, like the shiny grills in the front or the appliances not to mention the great garden shop. Ok, so I don't ever get out that fast but it is a great place to shop for hardware and more. My parents are property managers so they come here pretty often to buy some appliances and other hardware to maintain each property. The left side of the store right before you enter the garden section is a bunch of marked down appliances (stoves, dishwashers etc) for pretty good bargains. Not only that, you can try bargaining for a lower price (within reason of course). The employees will talk to their managers to negotiate for the price you want. I personally like walking through their garden section looking for carnivorous plants. They only come once in a while, so if you're interested in buying them. Buy them when you see them! I placed an order for a bathroom vanity and a toilet. I picked up the vanity, but the toilet was heavy and wouldn't fit in my car. I had purchased installation through Lowes and was told the installer would pick it up. They told the installer I had picked it up. I waited more than 2 hours at the store to speak with a manager to no avail. They checked the security cameras and confirmed that I did not pick up the toilet, but refuse to return the money. They later did a return, but Lowes internet charged a second erroneous transaction to a store 100 miles away. I have been fighting this charge for a month with corporate and it has not yet been resolved. I have made many purchases from Lowes and will no longer buy from them. read more

Every time I go to this gstore, it seems like nobody is at work. You cannot find any help and when there is, they walk right by you and ignore you. What I mean is they try to avoid eye contact so they can't be asked a question. Lowe's has definitely gone down. Try going to hardware's and look for screws, nuts and bolts. I went to this Lowe's to get a refund for a product that never came in. The salesperson was very nice and even tried to help me find a comparable product. When this didn't work, he walked me over to the customer service cashier. I was the only customer there, but as I spoke to a manager about the price, other customers showed up. I decided to get a refund instead of another product. When she went to help another customer, I reminded her that I was the first one there. I was not rude, I did not raise my voice ( I know how people can get, I am not that person). She got extremely annoyed and said something to the effect of she can't do two things at once. I stayed quiet. She gave me my refund, and when I asked her if she needed my card, she completely ignored me and mumbled, "I should have f..... stayed home". I had a wonderful experience with Lowe's. I was in need of a new dishwasher and the gentleman working in the appliances dept was exceptional. He helped me to choose some affordable decent options, printed me the information and sent me home to do some "homework" to make sure these new ones would fit properly. Upon returning a few hours later he helped me make the best decision. This all occurred on a Friday afternoon and he informed me that the installer would call me Monday or Tuesday to fit me into the schedule for delivery and installation. Monday morning at 9 AM I received a phone call that the dishwasher was on its way and would be there in 20 minutes! Now that's service! The gentleman who installed it was very quick, efficient, polite and kept doing his best to clean up after himself. Nobody seems to work in the Plumbing Dept. I was there on Friday, August 4th around 3:15 pm ready to buy a Kohler toilet as well as to speak with an Associate about switching out shower doors in two bathrooms for frameless ones. No one was at the desk in the Plumbing Dept. so I walked up and down the aisles thinking I would find the Associate. After wasting 15 minutes of waiting and looking for an Associate from Plumbing, I stopped an Associate from the Electrical Dept. to ask if anyone was working in Plumbing. He said "should be" and was nice enough to also look around for the missing Associate. When he didn't find the guy either, he had him paged and went on his way. I waited another 10 minutes at the desk in the Plumbing Dept. and still no Associate. A second and different Associate came by and I asked him if he could located the person from Plumbing Dept and explained that the Associate from the Electrical Dept. had already had the missing Associate paged. The second Associate looked up and down the aisles like both the first Associate and I had but didn't see anyone either. He then said that he would check in the back. He came out shaking his head and saying that the Plumbing Associate was not there but would have him paged which he did. I waited another 10 minutes at the Plumbing desk thinking that after two pages, the Plumbing Associate would finally show up. He didn't. I finally went up to the Customer Service Desk and waited in line to see if I could talk with a Store Manager. The girl at the Customer Service Desk wanted to know what it was about and I told her that no one seemed to be working in the Plumbing Dept and that I was ready to buy. She called the Manager on Duty and I could hear him asking her what I wanted. She explained that I wanted to talk with him in person. I got the impression that the MOD was either very busy or did not want to come out to talk with me by the look on the girl's face that was speaking with him but she told me he would come. I waited a few more minutes and decided that I had already wasted 30 minutes in this store. A BIG WASTE OF MY TIME. Lowe's stands for LOW SERVICE! read more
