I typically shop at this Lowe's store in Temecula but I just found out today something that disturbs me very much. We bought a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator from this Lowe's about 3 months ago. We have been having problems with it since the 1st day. We have called Frigidaire and let them know our concerns that it was hot to the touch on the side and middle. They told us it was normal. Eventually, the ice maker stopped working in the 2nd month and they sent a repairman to investigate. He found the problem to be that the manufacturer accidentally left a spacer inside the back panel and it got stuck in the cooling fan. This explains why it was hot to the touch and also caused the water filter to freeze up so no water would go through. When I called Frigidaire to have them send us a new water filter to replace the frozen compromised one, they refused. So basically, we have a refrigerator that the cooling fan has not been working properly for 3 months. Who know what kind of problems that may have caused and will cause in the future. My issue with Lowe's is that they sell the Frigidaire brand and do not display the fact that Frigidaire is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. When you buy any product that is not accredited by the BBB, you are at a severe disadvantage if something goes wrong with that product. I had no idea a well known Mfr like Frigidaire was not accredited, otherwise, I would not have purchased it. Just like restaurants have to display the calories in their food products so we can make an informed decision, Lowe's should advertise which products are not accredited by the BBB. read more

My husband and I purchased 4 Samsung appliances through lowes and received amazing customer service. We were excited about our products, but once we received our gas range it had a decent sized dent. After my husband contacted lowes and spoke with Brody (he is amazing by the way!) he informed us we could receive either 10% off or exchange the product for another one (our specific range was back ordered so it would take a month to receive it). My husband decided to take the 10% but we changed our minds a few hours later after further inspection of the dent that went down the whole backside. After going back and forth, Brody was able to help us order a new gas range and ensure we still received the promotional deals accompanied by our specific products. Brody went above and beyond to help us straighten everything out and was very patient with our indecisiveness. It is very refreshing encountering people like Brody in a retail store, especially when we made things very complicated. Thank you, Brody! read more

This is a typical Lowes. I very much appreciate that they tend to be available for help (the employees) with little hunting. I have not dealt with a rude employee, in fact I find that they go out of the way to help. I have been coming to this Lowes for years. Unfortunately for me, it is the closest hardware store to my home. I say unfortunately because they rarely have anything I need. Their hardware selection is abysmal. And other items like Loctite only come in tiny packages. Again and again I make the mistake of wasting a trip to Lowes only to have to head to Home Depot or Ace Hardware. I imagine if you are shopping for nice lighting it is a decent store. But if you need hardware or any item that might be out of the ordinary, you will be out of luck. I do not recommend the store. read more

I purchased a very expensive patio dining set 3 years ago. It was delivered and set-up. It is now peeling the paint off the aluminum chairs! When I called the store to see if anything could be done or check on warranty, I was told "they are only good for one year"! I'll never purchase anything at Lowe's again. I want to give props to Chad from the MURRIETA Lowes. He was so helpful and friendly. We were purchasing a bathtub, bathroom sinks as well as the fixtures. We had first gone to the Temecula store both on Saturday and again on Monday to make the purchase. The Temecula store employees acted very put out throughout the shopping experience. It took quite a bit of time to get anyone to even come over to the shower/bathroom area. We decided that we would again try to make the purchase at the Murrieta store and possibly have better luck with the shopping experience. We had carpet installed on Saturday. Worst experience in the world. The furniture was all stacked against each other, nothing protecting in from banging together. The brand new carpet was unrolled out on the wet and dirty road outside my house with no plastic drop sheets down to protect it. Once cut, the new carpet was carried through out my house with gravel on it.It took 3 guys 10 hours to do 4 rooms, hall way and stairs. Numerous chips taken out of base boards and doors, paint scratched on walls and they also managed to snap an arm/blade off a ceiling fan and they also forget to put back one of the runners in a closet. When the ceiling fan was damaged, I immediately called Lowes and spoke to the assistant manager on shift who stated that Lowes was not responsible and it was between me and the contractors. Well, sorry Lowes, you charged me $4,500 for the carpet so the buck stops with you. You need to take care of your customer. The assistant manager promised me a call back on Saturday and I'm still waiting. My wife and I went to Lowes and spoke with Ed on the Sunday to lodge a formal complaint. We were told that our concerns would be passed on to the Intsall manager. I called Lowes today at 2pm to speak with the Install manager, I was told she was at lunch and was given a brief update and was promised a call back. Well its been 4 hours and Lowes still have not called me. read more

Long story short I was never called back to confirm the appointment (after I had already paid). Called them to ask what the deal was and was bounced around from employee to employee on the phone. They needed to remove the item from high up shelving and subsequently helped me load it onto my vehicle. I ordered a refrigerator in the store, suppose to be here 8/23/19 and deliver to me on 8/24/19. On 8/23/19 I called the store to confirm my deliver on 8/24/19 but they told me my order was delayed and will be arriving on 8/27/19, and deliver on 8/28/19. On 8/27/19 I called the store again to confirm my deliver, then they told me I will receive a call that day to tell me what time it will be delivered on 8/28/19. But I wait and wait for 8:00 pm no phone call, I have to call the store again and they told me the delivery company is a third party delivery company, so they don't know when my delivery will be and ask me to wait until 9:00 pm, because that will be the last hours that the delivery company will call me. 8:50 pm I finally receive the call and they don't allow me to select a time for delivery. So I have to reschedule for 8/31/19. When I call them today, 8/31/19 the deliver company told me Lowe's did not send them the order, so they cannot deliver my refrigerator to me and the earliest they can schedule me for delivery is 9/1/19 and ASKED ME TO CALL LOWE"S AGAIN!!! This is so crazy that I am not sure if I will receive my refrigerator tomorrow or not!!!! So be aware!!! Think twice before buying a refrigerator from LOWE"S!!! read more

Reminded why we always go to Home Depot and only to Lowes as a last resort. If Lowes wants to compete, much less think of itself as upscale, they should really revisit their hiring practices. Just bought a picnic table...the cashier chomped on her gum and couldn't bother to crack a smile or look us in the eye once. The "help" who came to unlock the table only offered assistance as an afterthought because the 100 pound plus table is "really light!" We waited aimlessly for several more minutes until we decided service is not in their mission statement and my husband, son and I heaved the table into our truck ourselves. I sincerely hope someone else comes to steal the rest of the tables since they left them unlocked. Never again Lowes. read more

This was our first time using Lowes for demo and installation and we will never again. They take all your money up front days before the work is done which I understand but I expect excellent service to be followed... there wasn't. I was told by two people, Danny and Sarah in flooring, that demo would start Monday... then I hear nothing from them. I go in to sign a contract that isn't even prepared and a man named Ed who works in flooring, tells me Wednesday will be demo.... I get a phone call on Tuesday from Britany, who says a contractor will be calling in the next couple days to give me a date and time... I replied "no. This has already been delayed, I was under the impression it would start Monday and it didn't. I'm not waiting an extra day." Britany then calls the contractor to confirm a time and day.. why wasn't that just done before in the first place? We are told we don't need to get a hotel during this installation, then the first day the tiles are installed we are told by someone we've never spoken with that my family actually needed to stay at a hotel. I walk in to be compensated from lowes for our hotel stay and Britany calls a manager and asks for my name... I give it and she immediately cocks her head and laughs and said "yes it's her". She can go fly a kite for all I care. I finally receive my reimbursement half an hour later after just standing there feeling judged by all these people who have no customer service skills whatsoever, feeling like a laughing stalk by all of them. Then the manager gives me my receipt for the reimbursement and says "that's all..." well screw you too lady. Moral of this story, if you want crappy customer service from people who don't know how to communicate with not only their customers but also between themselves... then this is your lowes to go to. Oh and the contractor neglected to lock our back door and call us the Friday night we were in a hotel. I had to call lowes to ask if my home was locked. My husband went and checked because we didn't trust them and sure enough... back door to our house was unlocked and easy for a burglar to get in to. Very disappointing experience. read more

Do not, under any circumstances, have Lowe's install your water heater. Not because they are incompetent, but because they will charge you more for the install than you paid for the water heater. Case in point-I recently bought a water heater (599) and when we went to write it up, they asked if I wanted an install. I said of course, and when we totaled it up, the cost came to 1400 dollars! Lowe's has gone to a 'bundling' system where the cost of the install includes their definition of 'everything'. Aside from the stunning expense, here's the rub-say you want your water heater installed like I did. Part of the installation would include an earthquake strap (required in California). But I already have one, a current one that meets code. Is the price for the earthquake strap deducted from the cost of the install? No it is not-any difference between the cost of the install and parts you may already have are credited back to you in the form and a Lowes gift card. The cost of the install is 875 dollars, so obviously if you have say half of what is already needed, you end up making a loan to Lowes of over four hundred dollars. AND, at point of sale, I asked to see the list of things that were going to be supplied in the install. They could not provide the list. Short version-I bought the water heater, went home and went on the site NextDoor, found a contractor who installed the water heater for 235 dollars the next day. I'm not sure if it is a scam, a rip off or just another corporate grab for more and more of your money, but it is easily avoided with just a little research. I made one phone call and saved 600 dollars. Please do the same. read more

Since I bought a house in Murrieta, three years ago, Lowes has been my place to shop for EVERYTHING. I have a My Lowes card and had a credit card and just bought literally everything for the house there. UNTIL TODAY WHEN ALL THAT WILL END! Less than a year ago I bought two crystal ceiling fixtures from Lowes and called an electrician out to put them up. $199 installation. Then, before a light bulb had even gone out, they both stopped working. So I checked all of the bulbs and still nothing. Then I called the electrician to the tune of another $199...only for him to tell me that the fixtures were no good. One was even burning at the base. I could have had a fire. So I have bought two fixtures and spent $400 in electricians fees and I have to buy two more. I went to lowes with the fixtures and told the MANAGER (who walked up to me rather cockily, despite my smile), my problem and also told him that I realized they probably didn't have a warranty but less than a year was not good and asked him that because I've spent so much money on electricians and since these fixtures were, lets just say it....cheap and badly made.....he might consider giving me some kind of discount on another pair of fixtures. He flat out said that they weren't his merchandise! "I don't recognize them." So, he accused me of lying! So I said, "I will just go to Home Depot" and left. all he said was, "Aren't you going to take your broken fixtures?" NEVER WILL I SHOP FOR ANYTHING AT LOWES AGAIN. Customer service is EVERYTHING to me. They have lost a very good customer. read more
