I refuse to do business with Lowe's ever again! At both the Rancho Cucamonga location and the Upland location customer service lacks big time. I can never find anyone to help us. When I do speak to someone they are incredibly rude, short and not personable. We ordered a dishwasher online because the Memorial Day weekend they were slammed with guests in the appliance section. Got an email stating our dishwasher would be delivered the following Wednesday. I went back in because I got an email claiming my payment didn't go through to visit a local store to fix that. So I did. I can't remember the rude customer service attendant that told me my order wasn't in the system even though I provided him with the paperwork that showed my order # and everything. Then he said he'd need to redo the order and besides they were back ordered until late July on this particular dishwasher. I was livid! He was telling things completely different then what my paperwork showed. So he "supposedly" redid our order. My dishwasher was as delivered on the day mentioned in the email, but they only dropped it off! They had no order showing they were supposed to install it. Even tho my paperwork clearly stated I paid the $100+ for installation. So I contact Lowe's, they tell me my order wasn't supposed to be delivered yet that they would check on it. I get a call back the next day and am told we ordered two dishwashers. Um NO we didn't. Your inside sales rep ordered us a second one without telling us because he must be retarded. Then the employee on the phone tells me he can't refund the $1,000+ till our dishwasher comes in in July. Totally unacceptable!!! So anyway, we get it installed and we find out that there is no water entering the dishwasher period! It was going through the cycles but not actually getting our dishes wet once! The pump was defective. We call Lowe's, then call GE customer service, but they have to get back to us to set up that appointment because they don't have a service center on the West Coast! WHAT?!!!! How is that even possible?!! It's CA for Pete's sake. Anyway, we physically took it back and requested to speak up a manager to get our money back. Not once did they allow us to speak to a manager, and Chris the appliance sales guy I had been dealing with wasn't anywhere to be found. It took 30+ minutes to finally get our money back and it was the most frustrating experience I have ever had. It might not have taken that long, but the employee at returns, had to clue how to handle it. Second he was the one to keep answering the phones, and third, he was all over the place helping others instead of solely focusing on us. Overall our time in the returns line, plus our service, we ended up being the over an hour. Not again! We went to HD, ordered from there. Had it delivered in one week. Today I went in to the Upland store on Benson and Foothill Blvd, and asked for help to select fixtures for my bathroom remodel. Shannon at the front register offered to send someone over to help me. Ruth quickly came over to assist me, and I must add that Ruth was beyond helpful and extremely patient with helping me. She helped me pick out mirrors, faucets, and a wall sconce for lighting that I needed. It turned out that the mirrors that I truly wanted was just too big for my wall space, so I had to order online from another company. Then Ruth helped me order a wall sconce from Lowe's.com because the type I was looking for wasn't available in store. However, luckily for me, the faucets that I liked were in stock. When I went to the self checkout, Shannon kindly assisted me in making my purchase. I must say that I truly appreciate these 2 ladies top notch customer service. I came here Saturday night and waited 30 minutes. Nobody came to help me so, I went to customer service. They said somebody be right there. About 15 minutes later. Somebody finally did come. Tuesday night I returned to complete my purchase, I did not wait, so went directly to customer service, they said that they would send somebody right there to help me that was 20 minutes ago. Too young employees who don't want to do the job they're being paid to do. Very few know the products they sell. The Seasonal department is difficult to find anyone willing to assist. The assistant manager, Ruth, doesn't care and is extremely rude. She and one of the other managers were unwilling to help with questions their floor staff didn't have answers to. Over the last year to year and a half, this store has really gone downhill with the customer service. The employees, for the most part, appear and sound unhappy. Purchased a washer and dryer which were recently installed. There were other issues but the most significant one was that after the dryer installation, I smelled gas. Come to find out, a valve which was not leaking gas prior was now doing so. Called Lowe's "customer disservice" to be told that no, it was not the installer's responsibility to check if gas was or was not leaking following the installation when it had not been leaking before but it was my responsibility and/or a plumber's Instead of being concerned about a potential disaster, the "too sweet" sounding voice on the phone patronized me. Fortunately, a tech from So. Cal Gas was able to fix the dangerous issue although I'd be charged $63 on my next gas bill. Money well spent obviously. Honestly, the level of work ethic and responsibility for actually helping customers, especially in what could be dangerous situations, is nearly non-existent. read more

I have had a Lowes and Home Depot business account for over 40 years with a Veteran status. I have been able to purchase whatever I needed and get my veteran discount, but since some idiot decided to limit what I purchased and got my veteran discount they are no longer truly honoring veterans. I recently purchased some simulated wood (plastic) for a small deck for approximately $660.00 along with some accessories at the Upland store, I only received a $13.00 discount with my veteran status, the decking material is not on the veteran list for a discount. Now they will tell you they do honor veterans but they are not when they limit what you can and can't get a discount on. About four months ago I went to Rancho Cucamonga store to make a small purchase, they not only wanted to see my veteran ID, which is ok, but also wanted to scan my drivers license to make the purchase, never mind that they had my 40 yr old account on file in front of them on their computer screen and both of my ID's in my hand. At that point I told them to FO and promptly went to Home Depot where I had no problem with my veteran status and discount. Lowes is NOT veteran friendly, I will only shop there as a last resort. So veterans before you buy from Lowes make sure what you want is on the veteran discount list. Oh, by the way, the guy who made the decision to stick it to us veterans, YOU ARE FIRED. I was gifted a freezer that was on back order since December. I picked it up 3/20 and my husband attempted to return it unopened and in original packaging with a Receipt today and the manager denied the return claiming there was a 10 day grace period. No idea where the 10 day return policy came from? My husband returned home and none of it made sense as I had called last week and spoke to an associate to see if retuning it was possible , since I didn't want to Load it up for no reason, and the associate assured me with original unopened packaging and receipt it wouldn't be an issue. I even reviewed the return policy which states 30-90 day return and I was well within that. I attempted to call and speak to the manager myself to explain the situation but waited on hold for 25 minutes only to finally be connected with a very kind man in appliances who said he would leave my contact information for his manager because he was the only associate on the floor. To no surprise I did not receive a call back. It's okay though, I called the Rancho location and actually spoke to a manager that accepted the return without hesitation. read more

This is my hometown Lowe's and I am proud to call it that. The husband and I ran into this store this past weekend to take advantage of the $2.50 sale on mulch (adulting at its finest). This location is always busy (which is a good sign) but is well-maintained and I never have a problem finding an employee to assist with any questions. The garden section looks so beautiful this time of year with all of the Spring annuals. They have a ton of options to spruce up your garden and landscaping this time of year. The parking lot is dedicated to Lowe's and is huge. Plan on parking on the left side if you're purchasing lumber and on the right side if you're purchasing garden supplies or plants. read more

I went to the store to order a place set and I went to the service desk. He directed me to the garden department for assistance. I went to where I was directed ( Aisle 27) and was told someone would be there shortly. Two associates, both male were huddled around a computer terminal and one asked if I was the person looking for assistance and I said, "yes." He turned back to the computer and asked his partner what the answer was to a particular question. The associate then turned to me a second time and asked if I was the person looking for assistance. I again answered yes and again he turned away. The second associate, who appeared to be frustrated by my presence, sighed and asked what I needed. I told him I wanted to order a play set and he turned to his computer. In a sarcastic voice he asked if I had an item number, I said "no" to which he rolled his eyes but I explained I knew which model it was. This seemed to bother him even more. At this point I knew that he was not interested in helping me so I asked if it would be easier if I went home and ordered it online and he responded, "yes, we are busy completing our training and it would be easier." With that I left the store. I was extremely disappointed in the service I received and was even more surprised to see employees engaging in training on the store floor as opposed to being there to assist. Not to mention the cooperative test taking. Lowe's must be short on managers and maybe should institute a supervision by walking around program and a customer service program for employees. We bought a fridge here, and financed it via their Lowe's financing (My Synchrony Bank). The fridge came damaged, but unfortunately we had them haul away our old fridge and didn't realize until we were loading up the shelves and trying to put the fridge together that it was damaged. We call Lowe's the next day to have them do an exchange and they tell us that they can't just "exchange" the fridge, they need to take the fridge back and then replace the fridge. Leaving us without a fridge for several days. They can't make this happen on one transaction for some reason, it needs to be two separate transactions that are days apart. OH KAY. We just want a fridge, so we deal with it. We go look at Samsung and find a better fridge of the same model for cheaper, with 0% financing, so we say screw it and don't reorder the fridge via Lowe's. I'm thinking all is well and we are done with it. But no, not that easy. Lowe's won't refund me the 3 year warranty I bought on the fridge. I need to call a different department that no one answers the phone on, to attempt to get a check written to me that has about a week of prorated time taken out of the warranty. A warranty I never used, but can't get ahold of anyone to actually explain all this to. And to top this all off, the manager only refunded me the fridge, not the hose, or the water filter. So now I've made several calls to customer service, the manager, the warranty department, and some lady named Shonda and I can't get a fricking full refund on a fridge and parts that I don't have. I currently owe their financing company $334.61 for an item I don't have. It's the dumbest thing I've ever experienced in my life. Don't buy through Lowe's, just go straight to the manufacturer, it's easier and the customer service is better. read more

Spent two hours here loading lumber and getting large boards cut. The guys cutting the wood were helpful, unfortunately the cashier, she was angry about something and treated me like I was a burden to her. I don't remember when the last time I've ever had such terrible service at a check out lane. She questioned bags of concrete I needed to buy, gave attitude for having to count boards on my cart.... I was in shock. I even asked her if I needed to go to another check out lane because she was so rude. I told her never mind and told her im going to another register. I asked for a manager, and unfortunately he was too busy to come out of his office by the customer service counter. No wonder this place has a third of the customers that Home Depot does. Anyway they just lost a small project that I was planning to spend about $1,000 on. Go to Home Depot if you're buying stuff that requires assistance, if you're going to buy a plant or a box of screws then I'm sure this place is fine. I wish there was a zero star option. We have never experienced such garbage customer service in our life. My husband is a veteran, and went here because they apparently support veterans. He ordered a gas oven/stove combo. Went in person to speak to the experts to order the correct one. The delivery date was set for sept 3, 2023. Sept 3, 2023 came and we never heard from anyone. My husband calls and they tell us, we don't deliver on Sundays. Ok, no issue. He assured us the delivery was coming the following day, sept 4. We asked, it's Labor Day, are you sure they deliver tomorrow? He told us yes. Labor Day came and went. After multiple calls, we were told the item hasn't been shipped yet and won't be arriving until sept 11-16th. Ok what? How does our tracking say one thing, and then the person we spoke to tell us it's coming sept 4, now it hasn't been shipped? After hours of calls, it magically arrive two days later. Only to find, they sent us THE WRONG ITEM. We ordered a zline gas oven/stovetop, 36". They sent a dual gas/electric, which we did not order. We ordered gas. We call zline who tells us THEY DONT EVEN HAVE ALL GAS OVEN/STOVETOP OPTIONS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME! For the 30th time, we call Lowe's back, the upland Lowe's, who tell us, "oh well, sorry, there's nothing we can do." It's been 4 weeks without a stove. The incompetence, the lack of caring for customers, the lack of interest in trying to keep customers, was less than zero. I've never written a negative review like this before, but I made an acceptation for this. Miserable process. I can't even explain my frustration and anger. I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. I honestly dread visiting this Lowes however it's the closest to home. The customer service is horrible. Most of the employees seem miserable and it's difficult to get smile out of them. That said I only go if I absolutely must! Today I placed a $400 curbside pick-up order. Three hours later I still haven't received a status. It's about an hour before closing so I call about 10 different times on hold finally for 12 minutes only to be hung up on. I only needed an up update so I know if I need to head over. Went into Lowes 4/22/19 to buy paint for a bathroom project. Told the lady behind the counter what project I was doing and she suggested a specific type of paint. As she was mixing our quart of white paint ($18) I noticed there was a gallon of the same exact paint in white on the discount cart for $9. I asked her why that wouldn't work and she gave me a excuse about I would like the color. (I was buying white and it was white ?). So I took her word and continued to wait for her to mix my paint. I then noticed her grab the discounted gallon and put a not on the can, hold for (her name). She must not have seen the can on the discount shelf and wanted it for herself.
