I recently came to this location because I was in the area as I do sometimes. (My normal location is the Carlsbad store). I love that they have a greeter here at the door to direct you to where you need to go. Most of the time when I'm here I know what I want so it's a quick trip in and out. Being able to immediately ask where the specific item is located is so helpful and time saving. What I dislike is the vendors they sometimes have inside at the front of the store. While I get they are promoting their businesses, I have encountered some that are quite aggressive and do not take a simple "no thank you" for an answer. I have had to uncomfortably walk away while they are still pushing their info on numerous occasions. Often times it's for solar, but the last one was for water filtration. I don't need either. Otherwise, I love wandering through the gardening area. They have some beautiful plants/flowers. The staff is helpful and usually says hi. The store is clean and organized. They almost always have what I need and if it's something I can wait on, they are happy to order. I much prefer this company to the other big box store, as I find them much more willing to help. Overall the staff seem happier in their positions. Next time I will enter through the garden area to avoid the sales pitches. read more

I typically shop at Home Depot but Lowe's will always come in clutch when Home Depot is out of stock on an item I need. Was doing some renovating at my house recently, I required some help in the paint dept in regard to stain I needed for part of this project. Brittany was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the difference to me and make suggestions to what else I may need. It is usually really hard to find any employees when you need help at this location. Has a great stock! Does seem like anything that I can't find at the Oceanside location I can find here, and vice versa. Happy to have two locations somewhat near me. This location is well organized and every staff member we interacted with on our last visit was incredibly kind. During this last visit, while staff members were kind, everyone did seem a bit confused about their stock. It was a struggle to get items (last in stock) that were outside and chained up, but eventually they found someone with a key. Lowe's always seems to have what we need. There are some disappointments though. They removed the cashiers and made it self service for check out. Someone does stand there and watch over the people while they scan their own items, but the registers are gone. I just feel like it cuts back on their customer service. They seem to have a good selection of basic items. If you're looking for something high-end, this probably isn't the place to come. We ordered a refrigerator through them and the third time was a charm, sort of. The first two refrigerators had huge dents and dings upon arrival. The third refrigerator had a minor dent and we decided to keep it because we needed a refrigerator. They gave us a little bit more off the price but now I have to look at it mildly dented refrigerator. So that's disappointing. I wouldn't buy another refrigerator from them. read more

purchased a Homax wall texture spray that turned out to be defective and would not spray at all, even after following all instructions. I went to the Lowe's store in Vista (151 Vista Village Drive), and I was told I could not return it due to the 90-day policy. I explained that the item was defective, not a normal return, but I was still refused assistance. I asked to speak with a manager or assistant manager and was not allowed to. When I asked for the manager's name, the employee responded with an unprofessional attitude and was not helpful. I contacted customer service and opened a case, but the in-store experience was very disappointing. My dishwasher is barely 5 yrs old, and the mother board goes in/out every few months, then works perfectly fine for another few months. I am an older woman who only uses it once a week. I was going to buy from Costco but had to go to Lowes right before Thanksgiving for something else, so I thought I would see what's out there and how much since I am on a fixed income. I found the same dishwasher on sale for pretty much what I paid for mine 5 yrs ago. Installation was $166.00 but they had a rebate for it but can use only at Lowes. It didn't make me happy since I don't really need much there but decided to go ahead and purchase it. The salesperson Tanya was very nice and helpful told me they could get it installed in a few days, but someone would call me within 48 hrs. HA HA.... Thanksgiving came and went and 10 days after purchase on (12/4) I received a call from their 3rd party installers (South Coast Installers). I was at a doctors appt. WITH doctor and asked if she could call me back that afternoon. She said yes! Never heard from her again until December 20th, now over almost month since I purchased it and over 2 weeks since she said she would call back (South Coast Installers). When she called I (same gal) I told her I was very unhappy taking a month, regardless of holidays was not acceptable and I "should" just cancel. She replied, "O.K", like no big deal to her! I said "WOW" and hung up! She could have cared less. I then received a call from "Lowes Support Team" (12/23) saying I told her (So Coast) to refund my money (that's not what I said, but ok) I told her the story (Alicia) and she assured me I would get a call that day to schedule. HA HA again....Never heard another word from South Coast or Alicia so planned on going to Lowes personally and making a complaint plus cancel my order. Ridiculous! Holidays or not, they had a good 3 weeks of working time in there. On 12/29 I got a call (missed it) ASKING if I had heard from South Coast (via voicemail) and they were escalating the issue if no call by Friday 1/2/26. I called back as I was heading over to Lowes to cancel as well. I found the exact same dishwasher at Costco online for $150 cheaper, installed and free haul away. AND CANCELLED! with Lowes. I couldn't reach the lady who I had spoken too before and left the message, but I told this one that is a very sad state of affairs when it takes 5 weeks, and it never even got installed. Stay away from cabinet department. You have been warned. It has been 2 years of me fighting to get what I paid more than $40K for- properly painted custom cabinets for our kitchen. After they botched the original order and sent out the wrong style cabinets, they then rushed to send replacements- and these came incompletely painted at the miters. I have been fighting since to get this remedied. It has been a comedy of errors. They sent a repairman out from Diamond cabinetry who came with the wrong paint color. They made me and my contractor jump through hoop after hoop with delayed responses or ignored emails dragging this out for so long, and then ultimately said I don't qualify for replacements this year after initially admitting that the cabinets were defective and offering replacement in 2023. The hubby and I came in a couple of weeks ago, because we had finally gotten significant funds together to redo our house. We had contacted several home improvement companies and their quotes were way over our budget. So, on a whim, we decided to just see what Lowe's could do for us. Second, the plywood was damaged, the cement bags were wet, and the bag of mortar was broken. Additionally, the driver's pallet jack was too big to place the items inside the garage. Purchased a washing machine online from this Lowe's. Paid the entire bill with my Credit Card. After the online purchase I get a notification from my bank about the charge which I have authorized so I know when my card has been charged. Seconds later I get another notification that a second charge was applied to the same card from the same Lowe's. I reach out to customer service and ask about the second charge. I am informed that it is a hold fee. This makes NO sense as the entire order was paid in full. If this is the stores or Lowe's policy to charge hold fees it should be clearly spelled out somewhere on the purchase page. Thus allowing me to decide if I'm comfortable with this fee or wish to decline it and cancel my order. Transparency is all that needs to happen in order to not SHOCK the consumer with extra charges, unauthorized by the consumer. Beware of Lowe's shady tactics and hold charging practices. I ordered a refrigerator. They changed the twice on me then that it was delivered. They uploaded a photo that was blurry no address no refrigerator and they literally put a Z and said it was delivered. Went through the whole neighborhood asking if anybody had gotten a refrigerator everybody said no I then call the customer service phone number and they stated that the item was delivered. Today we were shopping for paint. We were helped by Brittany. She was wonderful. I was looking for a specific sample chip and couldn't find it. She didn't have any more of them but located it a store reference pamphlet and let me take a picture of it. She was very patient with me explaining about the light in the store versus natural light at home. Also explained the undertones of the paint to me as I was trying to pick a color out. With her ideas we bought some small pints to try out on our walls and decided on the color at home. Brittney was very kind with me. Buying paint colors can be stressful. This Lowe's is located close to the 78 freeway in Vista. As you turn in there is a large parking lot shared with a Bev Mo. I decided to head over and check out Lowe's for their selection of door locks since some of their competitors did not have a good selection or what I needed. I also found out that they will take burnt out fluorescent light bulbs. This Lowe's had a large selection of door locks and multiple brands. They also had some neat displays set up for their locks that use a keypad to gain entry. They also will install them for you for like $50 for the first lever and $15 for each lever after that. I did need some help and it took about 10-15 minutes after someone was paged to finally show up in the aisle. I know that companies are short staffed so I was very patient. The employee was very helpful and discussed all of my choices. She was able to answer questions. They pointed out that what I need was not going to be available in the store but to check Lowes online as there are more choices. read more

Don't do business here. Ordered paints online for next day delivery, which never showed up. Called customer service to request the manager to follow up. After calling the store five times, I finally received a manager which couldn't figure out what happened. He said he would refund me and requested I re-order again online. The next day, the order was delivered to the wrong address. The Vista MOD (manager on duty) told me he could give me the phone number of the person that received my order, and I could go pick it up a half mile from my house. SERIOUSLY? WTF? Now, five days later, both next day deliveries are nowhere to be found, and my credit card has not been credited. Rarely do I ever write reviews based off of how I was treated as a third-party delivery driver. But the staff at Lowe's in Vista has exceptional. Customer service more specifically the staff working at the customer service counter and the pick up counter. I've had to do a couple of pick ups from this location and staff always greet me. No matter what time of day it has been and they are always very nice. Every time I've had a question or needed any sort of assistance with an item staff at both counters are very patient and understanding. The type of customer service that I have received coming to this location is top-tier and I wish every store or restaurant could have the same attitude that the staff at this location have. read more

I place large orders for my tradesmen to pick up. I do this often with Home Depot and don't ever have any issues, but with Lowe's it's always a nightmare. I spend a good chunk of time only selecting in store pick up items, but when I send for them they can not fulfill the entire order. They charge you a numerous times holding up available funds. Last time I went in there and picked up the items in this store that they said were not in stock when they actually were. When speaking to a woman at customer service I expressed my frustration and she didn't seem to want to provide any solutions. I explained to her I was over charged and never received items in my order and she responded saying, "it is what it is". After leaving to pick up my items I came back and was working with an other associate when the same customer service gal I was speaking to earlier came up to me and reprimanded me for how I spoke to her saying I was yelling at her when I was definitely not yelling, but speaking firmly and frustrated. She was confrontational and disrespectful. There was a supervisor there and I asked the supervisor if this is how they treat customers allowing their associates to confront customers. I told her I wasn't even talking to her and don't understand why she felt the need to come over and confront me after I was not even talking to her. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I will only shop at Home Depot moving forward or at the least avoid this store. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement is conveniently located off Highway 78 and there is plenty of parking. Two things I always note because I don't want to spend extra time finding the store and then circling the lot for parking. Prices are relatively competitive to two other large companies I frequent for similar products. The weekly ad is worth checking because there are usually great in-store savings. I would consider using their app to locate items within the store. I find it difficult to find an associate so with the app I can find the item on my own! For both in-store and in-home services, Lowe's is definitely making safety a priority. I recently had countertops installed and I was pleased with the entire process. I met one-on-one with an in-store kitchen specialist to discuss countertop materials, colors, and options. I was given an estimate and scheduled an in-home appointment to review my design and create a custom countertop template. I made a few changes so I appreciate the in-home appointment to help finalize the plan. Like most stores, Lowe's is offering free store pickup and curbside pickup. These options are not available for all products, but definitely saves an unnecessary trip in-store. read more

STAY AWAY I bought my mom a $50 gift card and when she went to use it , she asked for help , since it's all self checkout she didn't know how to use the card. She's not the most technologically savvy person. Anyways the girl who helped her stated in order to use the gift card , the paper covering the security code had to be removed. I don't know WHAT the girl did or HOW HARD she scratched the paper but she did it so hard the code itself was not visible anymore. She did it with her nail so hard you could literally see the zig zag her nails did from digging into the plastic. So that's that, she couldn't use her card and they just told her to call the number on the back to see what they could do.. My mom returned to the store to hopefully speaker to a manager and whoever she spoke to "scanned" her card and told her it had $0. This all happened because of the negligence of your workers who literally don't know how to help customers with simple transaction assistance. They insisted the card I gave her was "fake" and that it never had money to begin with. I went to target and literally bought the card and paid for it cash . It was a gift I bought weeks in advance so the receipt is out of question. $50 down the drain and the crappy workers at Lowe's can't even admit any wrong doing.
