The worst Lowe's store I've been in. Something needs to be done with the terrible customer service. The management here is awful. ​

Lowes delivered a fridge using 3rd party contractor and this person caused 20,000 dollars worth of damage to my property. They denied the claim for the insurance and we are left with a broken front door, damaged floor, and broken solid marble table. Lowes said it was not their problem. Lowes tried to offer us 200 dollars, the door cost more than that. Do not trust this company they hire incompetent staff to bring your items and will not offer any help or compensation. Truly sad we have to live with a broken front door that is compromised and anyone could gain access due to the damage. The delivery driver made up a wild story & the owner denied the claim. The man could not do his job without my help. He failed to secure the garage door before placing another door in front of it. His lack of concern that a person could walk in is what caused all this damage. Fougere Gordon out of Killeen, Tx is the subcontractor that denied the claim and left us with damages that will never be replaced. BE WARE Lowes response was they don't have any responsibility for the damages that occurred from the delivery of the fridge we purchased from them. Youu could face the exact same situation as we have. Lowes backed the delivery driver, so they will not have your back, they only care about theirselves. We tried to sue Mr. Gordon but the courts stated we had to sue Lowes, we do not have the money to sue Lowes. See the pictures attached and the response we got. Stay away from Lowes & go to Home Depot they told us had they damaged our stuff they would have compensated us. The big box hardware stores have carried the idea of DIY to a whole new level not only referring to home improvement, but also customer service. This location is one of the worst. I went to customer service twice for help with lifting shelving units and was told someone would be there and waited and waited and not only did no one ever come but looking in all four directions, there wasn't an employee in sight. I finally loaded the units myself. Checked out and then discovered I was charged more than the listed price. I went back and took a picture of the listed price, showed it to the employee at checkout and was told I had to go back again to customer service for the third time. They then had to call the manager. At no time was I told sorry or thank you. Save yourself a headache and go to the smaller hardware stores where they greet you at the door and offer to help you. read more

On November16, 2025 I visited the Waco Texas Location and bought a Teel Green Ceramic Table Lamp- Item 5742803 Lowes scanned the tag, charged my card but fails to acknowlege the purchase. I chose the size because I believe it would be less likely to fall of the table. I then cemented it on a - store purchased concrete block of approximae 10 pound weight The switch works and the lamp turns on. The tiny shade is small, flimsy and useless for any practial purpose and was inadequately attached via three loosely fitted prongs to three tiny splits under the bulb. Similar attachements are pictured in other lamps advertised on their site. Nothing but Imagination hold it in place It came off and I could not reattach it The lamp has attachment sockets for a 20th- century standard shade which the store Does Not Stock. I used an old shade having to bend the sockets to fit. I chose this DIY solution rather than submit myself to the tedious and labor intensive Lowes Customer Service. Lowes Customer Service has been poor for years, seems to be getting worse.I was once directed to the store's plumbing specialist who Knew Nothing about the routine sink fittings I needed. Whoever you had working last night should be ashamed of themselves. She was rude, has zero manners to customers in person and over the phone. Be careful ordering from this Lowe's. I ordered all my appliances for a remodel job at the Waco, Lowes. In my order was a Cosmo brand stove. The stove is very poorly constructed. Thin metal, legs don't fit into the housing securely causing it to wobble and lurch forward while using. They had no floor or model to inspect before buying. The stove has been installed for 2 months. When I called the manufacturer I could not speak to a person, only chat. After much back and forth Chat person said the installation was bad and I needed it to hire an authorized installer to check it out. I needed help finding one. I called one of the Store Managers seeking assistance. They told me they are not able to assist. They could not use the same installation resources when you purchase because the unit was already installed and kept spouting their policy that you have to report all issues within 48 hours of delivery. The unit was not installed for a couple of months after delivery - it was a construction job. Appliances don't get installed the day they are delivered. Very disappointed in this Lowe's hands off, it is not our problem customer service approach and even more disappointed that they don't even attempt to try and help when they can. Usually hardware stores have hardworking and helpful employees, but this specific location seems to suffer from a culture of laziness. Most employees avoid eye contact at all costs. If you happen to ask for help they first pretend to haven't heard you, and then if you insist - they immediately point to someone else, that often begrudgingly reluctantly paces slowly with a face that says they really don't want to be bothered with helping customers. Heaven forbid if they need to actually do stuff like retrieving some heavy item from a high shelf. Asked for a patio item, 6(!) employees were staring at it making excuses why it's too hard to get it, and finally after saying I don't mind waiting they had to actually do their job and retrieve it. This store has deteriorated to the point where it is nothing but a trash dump! Merchandise is scattered in many of the wrong bends and it is difficult to determine the price of any item! The store isles are cluttered and filthy with unopened and unshelved boxes stacked everywhere, even completely blocking some isles! The stores restroom was also filthy with discarded paper and trash all over the floors! The employees seemed disinterested in helping customers and most completely ignored shoppers! In years past, this was my chosen home improvement store, but Home Depot is looking better and better after each visit to Lowe's! They are a good store, several are very helpful when it comes to helping find certain products. The lines can back up at times bc there's not enough cashiers. I recently purchased a dishwasher from Lowes. Shane listened to my needs and found me one for a great price. Then my contractor recommended I see Aimee in cabinets. She helped me find exactly what I wanted in my price range. I thought I was going to have to buy stock cabinets but she was able to get nicer ones with a soft close. Planned on buying flooring. Wanted to charge us for someone to measure floors despite I already have exact measurements. Then the necessity was to see if they would have the appropriate glue. Attempted bs high pressure unsuccessful sell that got nowhere fast raising a 3k flooring to 8k for flooring supplies and labor. That's bs for the square footage and cost of flooring per square foot, type of flooring and the fact no flooring would have to be removed or hauled off for this job. We ordered a curbside pickup at the Waco Lowes in the garden center for some pavers. My husband pulled up to the gate, as instructed from the employee inside, across from another vehicle on the side. A Lowes associate came out, pointed at my husband, raising her voice & demanding he move back. Not asking, but demanding. I came in from the store as another associate was asking me if this was our order. I said I guess, as there was another customer there, & I thought you had the receipt. The associate that raised her voice to my husband approaches me, sarcastically stating that they do not get receipts & do not know what people order. I explained that she doesnt have to speak to me in an unprofessional, discourteous manner & that we are not experts on Lowes processes for pickup. My husband then walked up behind me & told her "all you had to do was ask me to move my car versus demanding & raising your voice at me, as if you were a traffic cop". She once again raised her voice while waving her arms at my husband & asks, "well what did you think this other guy was doing over here & why would you park there in the first place? That is common sense"! He stated he had no clue where to park, was going off what the employee inside stated, had no clue what the other individual was doing there & that you don't speak to people like that. Out of nowhere, she yells out "What are you going to do, hit me!". What!!! He was standing behind me & never gave any indication of that. All this time, she is covering her name tag up with the clip board so we could not identify her ( I believe her name was Patricia but not certain) Then this associate waves us off & says Im so tired. At this point, I got upset & said "so what, boo hoo we all are". Needless to say, we were both baffled by this. Through this scene a nice young associate approached us with our pavers on the cart, he apologized for the incident & we decided to load our own pavers. When we returned home, I called the store manager to complain about the garden associates. She said she was sorry and that this should not have happened. I did explain if it wasnt addressed, ours would likely not be the only call today. She said thank you and that was it. We have been going to this store for a very long time & have always had excellent service. But as Im sure youre aware, it only takes 1 incident like this to have a negative impact & completely change a customers viewpoint of a business. While I understand that everyone has a bad day, that behavior was COMPLETELY unwarranted. At this point, we are uncomfortable visiting this store again based on this incident today & there are other stores that gladly welcome customers who are Veterans & treat others with respect. When it comes to delivery and appliances, Lowes is facing real constipation issues. The guy told us they were backed up a month. So we went to home depot and got everything delivered / connected that same week. Theres never been anything that is earth shattering or really surprises me. It's just like another home depot store but the customer service is worst; at least home depot is slow on the weekends, lowes is slow everyday, whether they have customers or not. So I have just moved to Texas and needed a chainsaw to do small work on my property. Trim some trees, remove a fallen tree, etc. I went into Lowe's and picked up a Husqvarna 440 saw. My previous saw was a craftsman 18" that NEVER let me down ever. But I thought the Husq brand was an upgrade. NO WAY. Got it home, filled up the oil, gassed it up. And waited for the next cool day to remove a couple small trees.. really small trees. The saw worked for about 20 minutes that just quit. After it cooled down it fired up and ran for another 30 minutes. Quit. Rinse,lather, repeat. So went to other chores. All my other tools/machines work without a hitch. I had to leave the next day and finally got a chance to try it again. Same scenario. Oh I purchased two to "High Performance" chains for it. Husq brand / husq brand oil .. drive a chevy use chevy parts. Now the story... I just called LOWE'S to ask to return it.. they said 30 days! ..I told them my story and they said sorry. It's yours .. Well, I am a land owner. And need supplies.. they won't be coming from Lowe's. You don't sell bad equipment and expect to keep your customers. Just a warning for everyone else. read more

On more than half of those visits I needed assistance and none could be found. On my last visit I had ordered online the night before some concrete blocks (Home Depot was out of stock). Today in the outdoor the lines were long and people left after five mins to go checkout inside because there was only one cashier and he was ridiculously slow I watched as he made several elderly women take each item out of their baskets to hand to him at the register. I was third in line and not in a hurry ended waiting over 20 mins to finally get to the head of the line. I asked the cashier why he hadn't requested another cashier and I got a blank stare (Maduro). I handed him my first items and asked to speak to a manger. He called and then stood with his arms crossed a didn't react. I asked him was he going to check me out and he said No, you asked for a manager. I reiterated "what , you're not going to check me out?" he replied you asked for a manager. I asked 3 more times ( getting louder with each repeat) that he needed to check me out and he refused me service. Finally Matt (reportedly a manager) started giving me the third degree and as I started explaining Matt started word play on everything I said. I finally told him that it's the managers fault Maduro doesn't know what he's doing and needs further training to which Matt said "so it's my fault" I said "yes!" I was told to have a good day as Matt turned, walking away and brushed me off....... So either Lowes employees are racist toward Native Americans, the elderly, or Military retirees or they're simply poorly trained and motivate employees who DO NOT have the customer centric mentality. read more

Not a local person for this Lowes in Waco, but needed to order an oven to be delivered to a house there in town. Ordered online July 4, 2023, for purchase and installation plus 4 year protection plan to be delivered July 18th. That date came and went, and a new date was given of July 22nd, and then finally July 24th, from 8AM-12PM. Received an email early in the day that it was to be rescheduled. I called the main number and waited over 30 min to speak to a representative who let me know the appliance was delivered to the Waco Lowes on July 21st. I called the local store two times, once at 10:07AM and again at 10:45AM in appliances, Raymond never returned my call back hence the second call. After a third call, they let me know the oven had been misplaced and they were looking for it and would call me back and let me know something/anything. Not another word until I received a text about delivery for July 29th. Yea it was delivered, but apparently to install the oven is another appointment that each person I spoke with failed to mention to me as well as the online portion of my order. That costs even more money despite the fact that in the description portion of the oven, it clearly states "if you are replacing the oven of the same model, it is guaranteed to fit". The lack of knowledge and or caring about customer satisfaction is minimal here. I realize everyone is short handed, but I have replaced several appliances in the last 7 months and this one was full of problems. Not sure Lowes appliances will get any more of my business. the waco store is getting worse than it used to. don't do curbside because you are going to get the crap. i overheard an associate stating i don't get what they get they should come in the store. i said that was not nice and she said she did not care. i told a manager and they did not care. i go back to get my paint and i tell the girl i want eggshell paint and she states i had semi-glass. i tell her three times as she is steadily stating it is semigloss by the paint from the stripped off paint on the wall. i tell her to stop arguing i know what i bought. she tells me it looks like semi-gloss well fast forward i go to paint and i look at the can and it states it is semi-matte. i did not state i wanted semi-matte. i said i wanted semi-gloss. i call and the manager i asked for gets rude when i state i was upset and started telling her about the associate. i bet if we started picketing in front of the store they might start caring. i keep being told well they can't keep employees. that does not give them the right to be the way they are. when some of us start going off then suing when they want to call the cops they might care. i am so tired of the lack of customer service. i don't have to buy and i will not. rayleen evans read more

Never again! Bought washer dryer combo $2k , paid for "professional installation " and also paid to have old washer/dryer hauled off. Ok so they were not delivered on the day agreed on and then refused to haul off old washer/ dryer. After many phone calls finally got that taken care of , now the installation was a joke and not complete, they had to come back another day to finish , which was even more time off work. What a joke , again don't di it. Find some where else to make purchases please or you will regret it I promise. Now let's get to the washer , it's a maytag pet smart. Lowe's never fails to disappoint. My wife ordered an 8 foot blue oval outdoor rug. On Wednesday they said it would be delivered on Thursday. On Thursday they said it was back ordered and they did not know when it would arrive. Seeing that, I cancelled the order. Lowe's promptly refunded the money. The rug, the free rug, arrived today. It is very nice. We really love it, though unsure how they can stay in business giving away free rugs. This is not the first time, either. The online ordering and delivery system is screwed up. Hire some retired logistics Colonel to fix it. You won't be in business with this model long. Never order from the online. Ever! read more

I have always been a customer of Lowes but I have had the worse experience with new appliance service recently. My wife and I went to Lowes this July and were looking at dishwashers and ended up purchasing all new kitchen appliances. Refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher and even new washer and dryer. The sales guy Ramon was awesome but after the purchase, everything went bad. The first delivery was on 7-24-23 and our stove was damaged. The guys left the damaged stove and I had to reach out to Lowes for a replacement and set up a new time to meet the delivery guys. The delivery was made for the replacement on 7-28-23 and the delivery guy let me know that the replacement had some minor damage to the back legs but I didn't want to go through this again and excepted it as is. Our microwave and dishwasher had a later delivery date of 8-1-23 and my wife made arrangements to be off so the installer could install them. After the install, the guys cycled the dishwasher three times and it was leaking around the seal. They said it looked defective and I again had to contact the store to make arrangements to have another one delivered and installed. We were told the item wasn't in stock and it had to be ordered from distribution hub. On August 4th I received a call from Lucy at the local store telling me that my dishwasher was in and a delivery and install date would be on 8-5-23. Again, we made arrangements to meet the installers, but no one ever called or showed up. Today is 8-7-23 and now I am being told that this is escalated, and I would receive a call from the install team to set up a time. This is not good customer service at all. My wife and I spent a lot of money, and it seems that nobody cares to follow up with us on our situation and its very sad that we as the customer have to chase down our items that we purchased. read more
