My husband is in the construction field and we spend a ton of money at lowes in a years time. The past two weeks he was helping me with a remodel project at my job. This required plumbing, tile and construction aspects. We made 4 trips to this locations in the past 2 weeks, interacting with sales associates each time. Easily 75% of the time the associates acted as though we were a major inconvenience by asking for help. 4-5 associates were extremely rude, One example I went to the screw isle and tried to find 2 particular screws. After 10 mins I pushed the button to summon assistance. The button didn't work. So I stopped an associate walking by and asked if there was someone that could help me. She said "there should be someone at the hardware desk" and walked away. I asked at the hardware desk if someone could help me locate 2 screws because I was unfamiliar with the sizing. 2 associated sitting at the desk said "they are over there" pointing at the isle I had just spent 10 minutes looking on. I asked if one of them could come help me. One grudgingly got up asked what the screws were for then suggested I go "over to electronics and look around". Frustrated I explained that I just needed someone who could explain the sizing of the screws. She told me she didn't know and walked me to electronics. She asked someone who was working electronics to which they responded "Shawn". Shawn was busy chatting with a coworker when we asked him about the screws I had in my hand he said "they should be over there" pointing the general direction of electronics. When I asked if he could show me he looked at the screws again then said "these are on isle 1" (the isle I started my search on) and dismissed is. So the associate that knows Nothing about sizing and I go back to isle one. I then had to show the sales associate whose help I had requested how to measure the screws. 5 sales I interacted with, what could have taken one of them 5 minutes at the most turned into 30 minutes of everyone trying to avoid helping. This was our experience ALL 4 trips this weekend. There is defiantly a culture in this location that the customer is an annoyance getting in the way of the associates socializing. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of one is there is a cashier that was working at the lumber side the night of the 10th and working front check outs the day of the 17th that was professional and helpful. read more

This is going to be a updated review...we just spent THOUSANDS of dollars on all brand new appliances, stove, fridge, dishwasher, everything. Have been remolding a 107 yr old farmhouse and keeping track with almost all purchases from Lowe's on MyLowe's card so from plants to paint to washer & dryer spent a good $30,000+ since October 2017, we finally finished with the house AND Yard and so happy with it, just time to relax, right no! We wanted all black appliances, ALL black. Well the first delivery was lovely, they came in set up, ran a cycle on all of them, hauled out old fridge but no dishwasher with delivery, still behind. Mind you we order the appliances on 6/4, its 6/19 we've waited almost 2 weeks. Oh but they nicked my refrigerator's paint 10% discount I'm still waiting on. Thinking they'd call and set up a later delivery time, like the first time. Next day, the delivery people showed up with the unit with no notice or call. I wasn't prepared for anyone and my luxurious nap was ruined. My personal pet peeve "Don't just show up at my house unannounced" proper curtesy. They rush it in drop it off, rush out. TIP They don't open ANY dishwasher for deliveries & they don't tell you need tools to get it out of the box, appliance literally bolted to a wooden palette. Once opened, we see not one ordered or wanted, we wanted was black on all sides (see photos) my husband was so pissed, he didn't want that one and we specifically told her that, looked at picture while placing order, went over it 1,000 times, triple checked. Now they're tell me I have to PURCHASE OR BUY the correct dishwasher, which will have to be special ordered. They lady didn't even know they sold a portable dishwasher when we first placed order, I have to have a dishwasher, husband was not going to cut a hole in the real wood cabinets and losing counter space and portable ain't so bad. Anyway after speaking with an associate, waiting on a call back now cause they should send the new one and refund when they pick the wrong one up. If not I'll shove it in my Jeep and go to the returns desk. To be continued....Up call back!! Even refund, ordered new washer, will exchange when delivered!! BUT WTF 40 days out for delivery, I know it's a special order but that's a bit freaking ridiculous but oh well, I'm semi satisfied. Still waiting on my discount!! Good store anything home and garden, great paint people just need a few on shift, sometimes crazy wait on paint. Beautiful plants, trees and bushes. We have blueberry bushes & fig trees purchased. Usually friendly, helpful associates when one is available. Check out can be a pain but it is what is is. You go on a Saturday, expect waits & chaos. I love this place. The workers are always so helpful and informed even when you ask stupid questions. When I bought my washer and dryer, the associate took the time to show me all the features on several models. He asked very good questions about what I was looking for in my machines and helped me narrow down my choices. Also they price match all of their competitors. When they delivered the washer and dryer they did a great job. They were very efficient in hooking everything up and they made sure I know how to use everything before they left. I have bought appliances, lawn mowers, grills, blinds, and all kind of household needs here. I would not go anywhere else in town, Especially not the home improvement store across the street that wears orange. This Lowe's employees are a cut above the rest. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. read more

Go to Home Depot across Capital Blvd. I needed one shelf cut and went to Lowe's in the lumber dept. Found the piece I needed and there was no one around to help cut it, let alone ask. I went to the contractor register and the guy at the register told me to ask another guy, who was behind the contractors service desk talking on his cell phone. I stood in front of him for 5 mins and he never even acknowledged my presence. I put the wood aside and walked back into the lumber dept to find someone and noticed that the machine had a hand-written sign on it saying that the machine "does not work" and is dated "5/1/19". Today is 5/26/19. Really?? Lowe's Home Improvement is a do-it-yourself store and it's own lumber cutting machine is down for 3+ weeks? Talk about useless. This place is crippled by it's employees, so I won't go back. read more

The customer service at this store is awful, be prepared to wait for the employees to finish what they are working on before they take on the "burden" of helping you, the customer. The people who work at the customer service desk are rude and less than helpful. Online service is great and the customer service hotline people are friendly, but it is obvious that the vision of customer service that is cast there has not made it down to this store. Also, if you are expecting a delivery, you will have to call to get any details because they take their time calling you. After spending a good deal of money here, I will no longer be returning to this store. read more

I like Lowe's, but as far as I can tell, the difference between Lowe's and Home Depot is the color scheme. So maybe that's the reason I prefer Lowe's. I went here to pick up some wood for a home improvement project. They were very helpful with picking out what I needed. I also needed them to cut the lumber. They will do two cuts free, which is a good deal as long as you don't need precision cutting. Unfortunately, the day that I went, the cutting apparatus broke down. Of course, it's a law that each Lowe's be situated right next to or across from a Home Depot. I simply jumped in the car and drove across the street to get what I needed. read more

Sales were nice. Delivery people were nice but didn't level the refrigerator we bought and ice maker didn't work. Called for repair. Repair came four hours late and no one had contacted us. Said they couldn't do anything- as they didn't know anything about ice makers. Said they would report it. One week later I hadn't heard anything. I called. Said they didn't have the icemaker in stock. Would call when they did. Two days later they called and made a date. Said I would be called and told when to expect them. Never called. Never showed up. I called the next day and no one answered the calls in any department. I noticed there was no way to give minus stars. I'm surprised at this treatment and thoroughly disgusted. They have my $800 and I have nothing. read more

Everytime I walk into this store I wonder why I bother. The employees don't give a darn and quite a few of them aren't very helpful. I returned an item to a different store and was given a store credit. Went to another Lowe's closer to home to purchase what I needed. I get to the register and they won't accept the store merchandise card that I got from the other Lowes store. They said that my driver's license was miskeyed. I said ok then just fix the issue. Oh sir we can't do that. You see my driver's license. The number that I am giving you is what is printed on the license. My picture is on my license. The employees are very friendly. They have excellent prices. I purchase almost everything house related from here. I have paid for home installation on doors and moist recently a toilet. The installation has not worked on just one visit. We have the installer coming back out to stop the leaky supply line from the newly installed toilet. The old toilet never leaked, but was not water efficient. The installers do not impact this rating as the store and employees are great. Contractors are sub par. read more

This place has gone downhill. They never have anything in stock. The website will say something is in stock when it is not when you push the button for help it takes at least 10 minutes for someone to come. If you comment that you've been waiting for a while they will just laugh. Once they actually help you they will not be able to find what you need and will just shrug and tell you to order it online. They will just waste your time. Go to the Home Depot across the street. Especially if you are a commercial worker. read more

My husband 7 year old son l, and I were looking to get all new Kitchen appliances, refrigerator, dishwasher, cooktop, oven microwave combination, cooktop fan. We went to Home Depot where we were greeted and immediately helped by a man named Charlie (extremely attentive,informative and kind). We wanted to look at other prices because that's what you do when making a few thousand dollar investment so we headed to Lowes. Went in found the section no one approached us, we looked around for someone, when we found the closest sales associate to the department my husband went over to him and asked for help the man rudely said "it will be a while" lol I don't know about you but I don't have "a while" on a Sunday afternoon to wait to spend 5000$ and up. I regret having to write a bad review against a company I have long enjoyed shopping at. I highly do not recommend purchasing and installing carpet from Lowes Home improvement. I spent over $7,000.00 and have two highly noticeable seams. They have "corrected" one of the two seams but it still looks horrible. The 2nd of the two seams goes across the entire room from the west wall to the east wall. I had two Lowes representatives look at it. They both stated it was a manufactures seam and I have not heard anything back from Lowes since they determined the cause. When I called to follow up the customer service manager who I spoke with was very condensing. He insisted that I have a huge red stain in the area of my "finger" made seam. I was stunned. I explained that I have burgundy curtains and the sun coming through the window may have put a red shadow reflection on the carpet in the picture he was looking at. I assured him there was no stain and your representative who took the picture could verify this. His reply was, "I don't care if you have a stain or not but there is anything, we can do about your finger made seam". After a few moments of the Lowes representative reading the account comments, he said that there is a request to have the manufacture look at it. This conversation was 2 weeks ago and still no response. I have also learned Lowes will not put in writing how the complaint was or was not resolved. So, before speaking with the Lowes customer service representative who insisted I had a red stain and finger made seam I made it very clear at the beginning of the conversation that this call is being recorded for any purpose that may be necessary. I very clearly asked him if he understood me. His reply was "yes". So, for any skeptic's that would like to hear the recorded conversation I can accommodate you. Also, as side note, my carpet was paid in full within 3 months of the installation so I have not nor have I ever requested any monies compensation. I just want these two seams to blend in like the rest of the seams. Prior to my carpet purchase I should have researched and compared Lowes Home Improvement's carpet reviews to Home Depot's carpet reviews. Had I done so I would have hired Home Depot. read more

Worst Delivery department ever!!!! Two appliances delivered in two years. The washer and dryer was installed incorrectly and water leaked in between walls. The delivery guys were very rude and made impolite comments about my home. Oven we just ordered, we were told it was in stock but wasn't. Nobody let us know until 6pm the dayof ddelivery that we would have to wait TWO WEEKS for delivery. Today it finally shows up, three days AFTER arriving in the store and the delivery drivers refused to check and make sure it was correct oven before leaving. Box wouldn't fit through door so they left whole thing on porch, my husband is disabled and CANNOT carry inside himself. So very disappointed with Lowe's, DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES from them!!! read more

Ordered a new Samsung Oven/Range online through Lowes.com -- I put specific directions to call my mobile phone when delivery was to be done. The WF Lowes at Galaxy Drive did not read my specific instructions and called an alternate number (in Japan) regarding delivery with an automated delivery address. Luckily - the auto call woke up the person in Japan and she conveyed info. Folks at Lowes at Galaxy Drive did not know what additional supplies I would need to set up stove for LP gas. Received required info from a bystander. Delivery however was excellent! read more

Needed help so I pressed the button to call for help. It Didn't work because it was broke. so I asked an employee walking by for some help. He said he didn't know the answer but would get help. I also told him the button was broken. 25 minutes later and still no help. I found another employee and he told me that when he was finished with another customer that he would help me. 15 minutes later I found him painting a wall. After asking for help again he assisted me. I then went to another part of the store and asked an employee if they could cut a long pipe I was going to buy. He told me they only cut pipe that you bought at the store. I assume he thinks I brought it in? I told him it was from two aisles over. He then told me that it was a fence post and they don't cut that. I told him it was conduit and he informed me they weren't supposed to cut any pipes. What the hell! He told me 20 seconds early that they only cut pipe from their store. This is the worst lowes I have ever been to. I try and shop at lowes because it's a company from NC but this store makes me want to go across the street to Home Depot. read more
