I have had nothing but problems with Lowe's for the past year, or so. Over the past 15 years I have spent many, MANY tens of thousands with them and have suffered with error after error, and very bad outcomes. The latest has to do with a ceiling fan. I bought the fan and paid for install, and they jacked me around with multiple install dates several times before ultimately cancelling my install all together. Not the level of service I expect. Can they not find anyone to instal a fan? It's an easy job that I could do if I so chose, but I prefer not to do so. Add this to the multiple nightmares we've had dealing with them for windows, window coverings, counters, and many other tasks, and I've finally had enough. Buyer be ware! Make sure that what you purchase has a written warranty ! Bought some sky light panels, installed them & within 2 weeks had holes. Lowes will not replace or refund !! There was no written warning that there is no warranty for this product. They essentially are stealing from customers, taking money for a product that isnt good.! I will never order any appliances and have them delivered thru Lowe's ever again. Was given a 4 hour window on when my delivery should be here and could see they were less than 3 miles from me, they called me 30 mins before the end of my window to say they were ending their route early and I would need to reschedule my delivery. The next time they could deliver would be 3 days later!! Completely unacceptable!! So basically they moved the put the appliance on a truck for the whole day then to take it off to put it back on 3 days later. And this appliance is suppose to be fine being moved around this much!! Store could not help me because they didn't have it in stock apparently everything from delivery comes from their warehouse and not the store. So only option would be to exchange for a different appliance they had in stock that I could pick up. Multiple attempts to call delivery center and they don't even schedule deliveries that apparently the warehouse which no one answers the phone at!! It is a nightmare. I'm just suppose to wait for them to call and schedule the delivery now. Can't even reschedule it only because now tracking looks like it is a brand new order!! read more

Does not deserve a star!! Will never go back in there, they have the worst costumer service ever! I order a washer and dryer and was told dryer will be delivered a week from the day of purchase and the washer sometime the following month and I was ok with that. Then some one call to push delivery date for 2 week and maybe they can deliver the washer too. I called back and ask to have the dryer delivered on the original delivery day because we knew that the washer was not going to be ready until some time the following month, the person who answered the call was in a rush to get us off the phone and was just interrupting us say he'll fix it. Then we got another call confirming the delivery day and time, and on the delivery day 3 HOURS BEFORE DELIVERY SOMEONE CALL SAYING THAT THE WASHER WAS NOT ORDER! I spoke with "manager RYAN" he did not offer any solutions. He basically said sorry we can probably deliver next week but is not guaranteed. What kind of service is that?! Ryan did you check what's in storage to offer any other options? NO! Ryan can you check if the dryer can be expedited? NO! Lowes you are really dropping the ball! Now I'm making payments on an appliance that is not guaranteed to be delivered!! read more

Horrible. Just plain bullshit. Purchased a washer dryer combo from this location and wanted it delivered and installed with the haul away of two old appliances. I warned the worker who I made the purchase with that the move was NOT going to be easy but it could be done. My laundry room is a very small space with little wiggle room. He understood and told me he made a note that the delivery men should be equipped with straps and be prepared. The delivery drivers showed up, looked at the washing machine and flat out said no, we aren't moving that. Lazy lazy lazy. I got a refund after spending almost two hours on the phone and my fiancé had to actually go up there and speak with a manager. Will never ever ever use them for anything again. Trash. read more

If I could leave a negative -10 review or more I definitely would!!!! To try n keep this short, I've waited for window installation for 9 months, (9 MONTHS!!!!!!) I signed a contract 11/09/2022, They've came n measured 4 times for 13 windows, n each time they have measured wrong, 4 different guys came n measured n still not one could get it right!! First they kept telling me that i wasn't on the schedule to get windows installed, almost $11,000 for the windows, that they needed the money up front, which they got automatically n then kept DICKIN me around for months and didn't hear anything from anyone, they kept me in the dark!!! Now can anyone tell me if they would pay for a job up front before any work was done and then proceeded to be kept in the dark about not only the windows i paid to have installed, but i also paid up front for a chain link fence that took 4 months to be installed?????? Then when the poor guy came to install it, (mind you it was cold and freezing out bc it was winter by the time Lowe's sent the stuff) Lowe's didn't send all of the chain link, so the fence was incomplete for another month!!! That aside, now im dealing with my windows, the guy came with all the windows last Monday 7/25/2023 to install em, and the windows were yet again all the wrong size, and didnt even have all the windows for my front room either n my bedroom window was 8 inches to big (exactly 8 in. to big like the previous time) which im 99% positive they didnt order the correct windows, instead they just kept the same exact ones as before without reordering the correct ones, n sent them any way to be installed, the poor guys that came to install em came from Oklahoma so they wasted a whole day and trip for nothing. Lowe's yet again has wasted my time thinking I have all the time in the world to take off from my job for the whole day just to be screwed again!! Sorry i said i'd try and keep it short but they've really screwed me, and now they are wanting a 20% restocking fee!!! Which I am NOT gonna pay them for bc they couldn't get their heads outta their asses n get the job done right the first time, at the very least the 2nd time!!! I will never do business with Washington Missouri Lowe's ever again, and I am urging everyone I know to discontinue business with them as well. Ordered a washer and dryer last week and was supposed to be delivered days ago. They keep calling and telling us we'll have to wait longer and promise to call again with updates. Never got any. I took off work to be here for the delivery today, called up and they said it's not even on the truck. Then I asked for a refund and the lady said she'd transfer me to customer service and then hung up on me. This place is a joke read more

Don't you love it when all the reviews for a place are either 4/5 or 1 star? I think that says a lot.... And in this case, it's probably right - it's bigger than any hardware store in the area but has a weaker selection than most home improvement stores overall, and customer service, which seems to be a major complaint here, is really hit or miss. I know, most of the employees suck. Those of you saying so, aren't wrong. But, I've also encountered some pretty solid customer service here, and those people deserve a shout out. Wish I knew/remembered the lady's name who handled my return on my last trip - I returned a conduit connector because it didn't have the nut on it. Went to buy replacement, they were out, but I found a spare nut. But, the return had been scanned and the computer had already cataloged it as a defective/damaged product, so it wouldn't let them sell it back to me - so my returns lady calls her boss, and they're able to find a way around it. Problem solved, connector with nut acquired, job finished shortly thereafter. That's worth bumping my rating up to 2 stars. read more

OK...today has to been the worst customer service i have ever had from a home center...with the exception of the girl at the checkout who was both friendly and expedient...not a single employee asked me if i needed help and most avoided eye contact...AVOIDED EYE CONTACT...seriously...if they don't see or notice the customer maybe he will go away??? SO while it is another 10 miles to Home Depot, and I pray we someday get a Menards so i don't have to intimidate the employees with my presence, I will do just that--I will go away and give my thousands of dollars annually to another lumber yard... The total lack of customer service at this Lowes Washington Center reflects both badly on management (perhaps its non existent) and the Corporation as well, note i didn't mention the lumber is crap and so badly warped it is only good for fruit displays, in particular bananas... read more

I have shopped for years at this Lowe's and I have this warning. Only buy what they have in stock because things can go wrong and they tend to do little to nothing about it. A past example is that I wanted to buy a sink that was on their display floor. The actual sink had a note that it would take 4 weeks for an order to come in. When I ordered it, I was told it would take 2 weeks to come in (red flag that I ignored). When it came in, what I got was nothing like I ordered. I took it back and they said the sink on display was labeled wrong. I asked if I could just have the display model and they said no. They ordered the sink again. This time they estimated 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, nothing came in. I went to the store and they said it was on back order. I asked again if I could just have the display model and I was told it was a non-working model. I followed up again after 2 more weeks and then they told me that it was discontinued, that they were sorry, and that they would sell me the display model. Another example is that I ordered 2 custom windows, an exterior door, and a storm door. Due to the pandemic, it took 4 months for all of it to come in. Lowe's was also to install it. When it was installed, the installer told me a window was not able to be opened and that it would have to be replaced. I went to Lowe's that day and informed them and they said I would get a call back. I went to Lowe's again 2 days later and told them about it, they said they they don't have any record of it and that I would get a call back. I went back a week later and same thing. After still no call, I went back a week later and still the same thing. Then I talked to a manager of the area. She looked it up, did acknowledge the issue and said that a replacement window would be ordered. After a month, I decided to check up on the order, Lowe's couldn't find any record of the order. I talked to the manager again. She said there was not an order for me. She said she would contact the installation manager and said I would get a call back. After 3 days, I talked to the manager and she was surprised that I did not get a call back and so she gave me a phone number to the installation manager. I left a message. The next day I talked to the manager and she said the installation manager is the one that needs to reorder the window and she will call him. After 2 more days, I finally got a call that the window was ordered and that it would arrive in 2 months. After 2 months, I went to Lowe's and was told that it would be delayed one more month due to a vinyl shortage. A month later, I got a call that the manufacturer of the window said that there would be another 2 month delay. When the window finally came in, I got a call saying it was damaged and that they were going to reorder it again. This time they said they would expedite the order. I don't know why they didn't do it the last time. My advice is to not order anything from them if it is very important. Their customer service is horrible when things go wrong. read more

The products are usually good but the customer service leaves something to be desired. At 7am this morning it took my contractor 45 min to find an order of 6 panels of siding , it was supposed to be ready and waiting on a cart at 7am it wasn't . This has happen several time before. I'm finished with the Washington Lowes hope they build a "Home Depot " soon! I do not have this problem with other Lowes in West County...... read more

While, not as good as Home Depot in my opinion, Lowe's usually always has what I need at a very reasonable price. The only reason I prefer HD is the layout of the store. read more

September 25, 2014 Lowes Corporate Office 1605 Curtis Bridge Road Wilkesboro, NC 28697 My family has always gone to Lowe's for not only supplies, but also for contractors and advice; especially when I bought a 200 year old home 20 years ago. There was no exception when I finally had the money, after 15 years of waiting, to not only remodel but to add to my 200 year old homes master bathroom. I happily ran to Lowe's for a contractor and advice and within a month the work began. The contractor gutted my bathroom; cut a couple holes in the floor to take out the floor that was almost falling in after a pipe had unknowingly ruptured. Then when foundation was poured after several delays the contractor told me he was moving outside to work. This was okay except I have a birth defect to my heart and the open holes not only let animals in at night, but the old dirt in the crawl space made my dogs and myself ill. The open plumbing became unbearable with their smells. I covered them up for now. My daughter and my infant grandson have to stay on the other end of the house. Then the contractor left to work on other jobs for he ran out of money even though I had paid him, it became a rarity to see or hear from him. With cooling nights my bedroom became windy at night as well as cold. Then to make things worse, the foundation man showed up and told me he was going to put a lien on my home, but I do have lien waivers. I then met the contractor and paid for more supplies so he could work which is crazy since he was already paid for these. The contractor came back for his trailer that he had left, and put a floor on the addition so less animals and cold could come through. He has now sent a message saying he is sorry but he is not going to finish and he is moving out of state to be with his family. He does not have the money to refund and will go bankrupt in the future. After months, my grandson, my daughter, and I are with a gutted restroom and holes in the outside wall. Our money has been taken, as well as our dreams. This particular Lowes store that I got the contractor from act like they are a large family and the customers are part of it. They remember their customers and so it was not a surprise when the employees at Lowes also feel devastated, angry, and are basically in shock. This speaks well of your employees, the Washington, Missouri Lowes have always been the nicest and caring people. And it is because of these employees I will still go to this Lowes and promote Lowes; I assume this was a rare case. I have talked to the District Attorney's office, as well as filing a police report. I am also going to go to the news station in hopes that they can do something with the contractor and his company. Unfortunately I do not have the money for an attorney to file a civil suit in hopes of some money to come back over time. And with winter coming this still leaves us without a bathroom and holes in the wall with no hopes. I am in hopes that your attorneys can help with this matter, and I have the materials for the outside frame are there any way someone can at least to frame it, maybe put a toilet in? In light of our newbie status, we feel especially fortunate to have found Jim in this department as he is very knowledgeable in this field and really helped us understand what we were looking for and needed. He answered all our questions with ease and patience. Installation was swift and a breeze.
