Not only that, the lumber store that I came from was going to charge me $5 per cut for plywood that I wanted to cut into strips and I was told it would take an hour to cut the wood. At John Hall Lumber, I was greeted when I walked in and was asked if I could be helped. I was not given any additional charges for cutting the wood and the wood was cut in 10 to 15 minutes and they brought it out to my van and loaded it up for me. I was so relieved to find a place like this after the experience at the other lumber store.

Tonight I took the wine stopper and cheeseboard class and it was a lot of fun. Small group and personal instruction. The supplies are of adequate quantity and quality as well. One of my favorite things is how you can explain the project you are working on and the staff all really are curious to learn and advise on a few ways and supplies to pull off the trick. They are focused on giving the right advice instead of moving sales and I enjoy coming in every time. I may come back for the bowl turning class soon too!

A small milled order of cherry that I waited over 4 weeks for had half of it so bowed and crowned…read morethat it was not usable. There is no way a door could hang from what they gave me, which had about a 1 inch bow and 0.5 inch crown. These pieces were over $100 a piece. They were shrink wrapped, so someone had to have seen how bad these were when wrapping them, yet still handed them over. When I call to see if replacement pieces can be rushed, the answer is "another 4 weeks". I will never use this place again. I'll go elsewhere and get the wood glued to the thickness I need rather than deal with this expensive mess.

I think there was some miscommunication, which is upsetting. As much as we spent, I would have preferred to go somewhere else that offered free delivery. When we arrived, we went to the trailer building to pick out rock. It was nice that there were tons of staff to easily help us and it was pretty easy to pick out what we wanted and we gave her the measurements. She calculated it and gave us a price, so that was pretty efficient and helpful although it was not correct. I think there was a miscalculation I am unsure. There is a lot to offer here and they've been here for years. If you need help, the staff is super quick to help with no questions or hesitations. They are all very friendly. When they came to deliver, they called before they had my way to confirm delivery and address once they delivered. I wish they would have knocked to notify me or ask where I wanted the rock and said they just dumped and went so now we cannot park in our driveway until we get it moved.

They had people to deliver. We called the person they suggested and he said he didn't deliver that long of vanity. I called Hoods back and the gave me three more people to call. After two more no answers the third one set us up with a delivery. They were very helpful and on time. I guess if you had a truck to transport it and people to lift it, all would have been fine. Not two 70 year olds one being an amputee.

Great service, support and products!…read more We now have our second lawn mower from ARCO. We also have a leaf blower and weed trimmer. We purchased the first mower in 2009 and only just replaced it... it ran well and lasted 15+ years in much thanks to ARCO's winterizer service which, I now know that I should have winterizer it every year... I thought I had just missed last year... I hadn't taken it in for four years... ahem. Don't be like I used to be... do winterize your mower each off-season... commit to yourself to bring it in before Christmas. The first mower did not last longer than that due to an accident on a hillside that damaged it... I let it roll down the back yard hill and along the way it flipped and cracked the gas tank... ahem. Thankfully, the ARCO team was helpful; the first mower was really good and this new one, a 21-inch super recycler (it cuts each blade of grass many times) is AWESOME!! The new mower has much better wheels - thicker and better tread and they roll much more easily, and that is great. AND What really impresses me is the cutting. In spring, grass is always the thickest and we keep our grass tall, so when we cut there is usually a lot of clippings. I typically bag the grass but I did not use the bag this first cut. And I'm amazed... the grass is thick this week. The last time I cut, there were clumps of grass all around the yard, especially where I turned - this is not uncommon. This time - no clumps - this new dual blade makes many fine pieces of each blade of grass, and those small pieces apparently fall deep into the yard and serve to help strengthen the grass (per the Toro video on YouTube). I was also able to walk over the old clumps of last week's grass and they were shredded and disappeared, too - amazing! Thank you to the entire ARCO team, for the original sales and support and for this amazing new Toro 21" super recycler lawn mower!!

All I wanted was blade sharpened. Lady talked me into the 'silver package' which included oil…read morechange and spark plugs, said they'd pick it up and drop it off, $180 all in....at least that's what I thought. To be fair, the receipt did state "balance due" at the bottom of $120, which I didn't notice until they asked how I wanted to pay the balance when they called me 4 days later than the quoted it'd be done. I would've NEVER agreed to pay $300 for a blade sharpening, oil change, and new spark plug, pickup and drop off (round trip 3 miles). For that, I feel misled. The parts on this were $25ish, and the labor is max 1 hour, including the pickup/dropoff. $250-$275 for labor on small engines is insanity. Take your money elsewhere or do it yourself. Rude on the phone on top of it.
