It is dangerous and disrespectful to the servers to have to work in such chaos. It is inappropriate and probably illegal for small kids to even be allowed in there let alone have ZERO rules for the kids AND the parents to adhere to. I took the opportunity to explore another gym and I learned a lesson in what isn't good in the fitness business. 24-Hour Fitness allows me to pay for a year at a time, the associate took care to explain all costs up front, and what you see is what you get. The other gym I went to told me I would could pay for a basic $15/month membership up front for a year ($180) and the associate filled all the paperwork out for me. When the contract came by email I found they put me on a month-to-month contract, tacked on a hidden fee of $79 (not mentioned by the associate at all), and jacked the monthly rate up to $17.98 because I used a credit card. I'm so glad to be back at 24-Hour Fitness, and the new remodel is really great!

Long story short, the everyday run of the mill flu, turned into a secondary pneumonia and horrible lung infection for me. My right lung was over 80% infected while my left lung was a little over 50 infected. This was NOT walking pneumonia but rather the kind of pneumonia that pretty much kills people when 50% of the lung is infected. once again... I had 80% infection rate. I spent over 5 hours in the ER, was given emergency injection of antibiotics, pregnazone and fist fulls of oral antibiotics. After that, they pretty much told me to pray that everything works and that I'd beat it. As an ex-athlete, longtime skier and mountain biker, this was the craziest medical game plan I had heard of. Fortunately, with what little bit of mental cognition I had left, I decided to look into hyperbaric oxygen therapy for pneumonia relief. Lucky for me, Icelandic Fitness popped up after a Google Search or two. These HBOT treatments along with Jason's meticulous oversight, worked miracles on my health and I survived my ordeal. I don't want to get into all of the science behind the efficacy of (HBOT) hyperbaric oxygen therapy, all I can say is the information is out there and the Hyperbaric Oxygen Institute lists some unbelievable benefits. Should this therapy be sought to treat pneumonia? 100%, yes! As a matter of fact it just seems crazy that none of the medical staff even mentioned it as a treatment option. That's how great this treatment works. I did FOUR days in a row at about 1.5 hours per session. That might be a bit much for some people, but I'm confident Jason will help identify how many sessions and how long each will work best for you. It really comes down to his expertise and him asking the right questions about what's going on with your body. Tissue repair, accelerated healing or overall recovery, Jason has you really, really covered. Want to increase the odds and beat pneumonia? It's always blazing hot inside at all times of year. Makes working out extremely uncomfortable. They also only have 3 fans available in the entire facility. 2. The music is so bad. It's like a mix of oldies and soft rock. Nobody wants to work out to that. 3. There has not been a single time that I have asked a staff member a question when they actually knew the answer. It is the most infuriating thing to hear "I don't know" to every little question that you have. PLEASE train your people better or hire individuals that actually care to learn how to do their jobs.

It's consistently clean, the staff has always been friendly, and if you learn the busy times, there are plenty of opportunities to work out without feeling crowded. The recent addition of new equipment was also a nice improvement. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the equipment maintenance. I'd say the gym is about 85% on point. There consistently seems to be a machine or two that's out of service, and repairs can sometimes take longer than I'd expect. At the end of the day, I keep my membership because the value is outstanding.

Lots of signs about checking phones during their workouts and I had to ask several people several whether they were finished. Just a bad habit I wished was enforced. The recreation center has a pool and gym and very active. The parking lot is normally full so I normally park on the street. I'm glad this is a city facility that is frequently used by its citizens.

Luckily we called around and found this establishment was ahead of the program. This hidden gem saved the day as my godson's were leaving the state today. The facility was clean and the lifeguards seemed knowledgeable though not the friendliest. Neither was the front desk lady. One female lifeguard was friendly though. I understand rules for safety but one rule still has me baffled. My godson was using one of their floating devices in the lap pool and he was told only swimmers doing laps can use them. Not like anyone was doing laps and I didn't see any harm using it. The price was great as well. For my children ages 5, 8, and 10 was $12.00 for an all day pass. .
