We had great communication and friendly service. They were able to quickly relay a change to the tow driver for us. Thank you!

I can't recommend On The Way Express enough! I was visiting the Boston area from New Jersey when I…read moregot a flat tire around midnight. There were no tire shops open, and even the car dealerships were closed and inaccessible. My insurance roadside assistance had no choice but to tow my car back to the apartment where I was staying in Quincy. I assumed I'd have to wait until the next morning, have my car towed again to a dealership, and pay a fortune for the repair. Thankfully, my husband searched online and found On The Way Express. What an incredible find! They responded immediately and came directly to me that same night. Within about 10-15 minutes, my flat tire was repaired, and I didn't have to deal with another tow or wait until morning. Not only was the service incredibly fast, but it was also far more affordable than what I would have paid at a dealership. What impressed me the most, though, was how safe and comfortable they made me feel. It was late, very dark, and I was alone in an unfamiliar place. The mechanic was so kind, respectful, and comforting from the moment he arrived. He explained the repair process, taught me a few things about tires, and made sure I felt completely at ease. It's rare to find a company that combines speed, affordability, expertise, and genuine care for its customers. They turned what could have been an expensive, stressful ordeal into a quick and positive experience. If you're ever stranded in the Boston or Quincy area, don't hesitate to call On The Way Express. They truly went above and beyond, and I couldn't be more grateful! The BEST!

I figured that the slow oil leak finally gave out with the cold weather and the gasket blew in the engine. I honestly figured I would be scrapping my car today. After walking over and talking to one of the mechanics, Jerry. He told me to pull my car around and he would check it out for me today and give me a call if it's fixable or not worth it (I told him I didn't really want to put money into the car). He said they were super busy today but he will squeeze me in. Once I got there he asked if I could hang for a few min to diagnose the car and checked it out immediately. After lifting the car and checking everything they realized it was a clogged oil filter. It was so clogged that oil wasn't passing through and some of it was leaking everywhere. When they removed it I think a few of the guys got covered in oil (I kinda felt bad to be honest but they all laughed it off). Because oil got everywhere they also proceeded to clean underneath my car with some foam stuff and then ran it a little to burn what was left off. They were incredibly funny, helpful, patient, personable and honest. I spoke mostly to Jerry and the gentleman inside at the register who was also amazing. Even though I live 30 min from here and they helped me in a pinch, I will definitely bring my car back if anything else goes wrong. Service was incredible.

They've fixed my car multiple times the same day, given me very reasonable prices, and always made sure I left feeling confident about the work done. I've never once felt taken advantage of or pressured into unnecessary repairs. I'm writing this review because they truly deserve the recognition--good, trustworthy auto shops like this are rare, especially in the Boston area!

With a lot of recommendations from my friends at MassBMW, I finally bit the bug with trying out…read morethis team and came out with zero regrets. I dropped my lowered Infiniti G37 (not a German car) for an alignment and tire mount/balance and James did a great job not only asking what I wanted, but also following up and explaining the work when I picked up the car as well. I noticed that the center caps were mounted "Porsche" style, meaning the center caps were lined up with the valve stems. This is something that many shops never do, and is a sign of work done with pride and care. The difference is in the details and in this case, the differences really shine through. In fact, I'll be bringing in my mom's W221 tomorrow just because I really trust their work.

The owner, Rick, then invited me to share quotes showing how much less other shops charged for labor. I sent over the first one from a private shop for, and it was ignored because it was in NH. I sent over a second from an Audi dealer in MA, and it was once again rejected because even though the labor was cheaper, the overall cost was higher (due to pricier manufacturer parts, which was irrelevant to my point). I sent over a third quote for another private shop in North Chelmsford, which not only met Rick's criteria but even showed the exact, significantly fewer labor hours required to install spark plugs, with the cheaper cost associated with it; and then he stopped responding. After he stopped responding, Rick left a dismissive response on my review that evaded my complaint. I sent three quotes all showing you don't need 3 hours to replace spark plugs, the first two got denied due to exaggerated criteria that the owner did not communicate to me, and the third (first one to meet all his criteria) was flat out ignored. This place charges you for more labor than they actually need, and won't take accountability for it. If you don't believe me with all these other 5-star reviews, that's alright. I just suggest that when you bring your car, do yourself a favor and compare your quote from AE to a few other shops in the area. You will see plain as day that they charge you for extra hours generously. Honestly, I'm glad the owner sent me on a goose hunt for other quotes- they all reinforced how much I just got fleeced. I hope future customers will make the same comparisons and push back on AE's labor the way I should have to begin with.

My wife said the experience she had with them was very courteous, professional, and fair. The prices they offer are absolutely reasonable, especially with the convenience factor they add. When they came to our house to do oil changes and tire rotations they were fast, hard working, and respectful. Even just peeking out the window a couple times you could see they were working hard and they seemed happy enough to be doing their jobs. I'd requested brakes for one vehicle since they were pulsing and they told me the brakes were not worn enough to be pulsing and I should be under warranty on them, so I called the place I got the parts and sure enough they were right and saved me $300 with their honesty. They also left before I had a change to tip them, but someone else in my house had tipped them without my knowledge. When I contacted them by email to see if there was a way I could tip them they let me know they'd already been tipped and didn't want to accept more. Very honest people, genius business model, fair prices. Hire them!
