Bark is the place to go for high-quality dog & cat foods and treats. They're always the best-stocked shop in the area, with a well-rounded selection. Prices are competitive, too. Most products meet or beat those at the big-box pet stores. The concentration is on premium foods, with as many natural ingredients as possible. Fromm, Blue, Merrick, Wellness, Dogs Gone Wild, Weruva, Wild Calling, and more. They also have a freezer case for raw foods, some toys and supplements, and a "bakery" case with all-natural baked treats. This location is much smaller than the one in Pikesville, but still well stocked. I just happened to find their designated parking spots by driving around looking for a street spot. If you're facing the store entrance, their spaces are behind the store and slightly to the right. You can turn down Egges Ln and the spots are in the second lot on the left, just before Objects Found. I hope that helps someone else because I was about to scrap the whole trip looking for a spot! The person who helped me was polite, but a bit standoff-ish when I asked a question. Despite my initial frustration with parking, ultimately I got what I needed, and I do love this small chain and their rewards program! read more

I've visited Bark at there other larger locations but having this one come to Catonsville has been great. I stop in for the speciality items: bakery items, treats, etc. They are very knowledgable and friendly. I also like the large selection of chewable meat/bones in the from of the store. Bark! is a nice little pet food store in Catonsville located on the central main drag on Frederick Road. This is a busy avenue, and parking can be a chore but they do indicate they have parking down the little alley that leads to the back if you have sharp eyes and get lucky enough to stop without getting rear-ended. It s across the street from the Black kettle and some other restaurants so this section is typically highly trafficked. They hit my radar because I was looking for a very specific brand of rabbit food, and when I walked in the guy behind the counter asked me what I was looking for, I told him, and he led me straight there. I wasn't in the shop five minutes and had everything I wanted. It's great that the area has a shop like this. If there are any detriments it is due to the size constraints imposed on them by the area. I can see other reviewers easily giving this place five stars. read more

Indy pet store - unique and well stocked. Grain free treats, freeze-dried meat treats. Bones, teeth cleaning treats, hardy toys and well-made outfits (rain coats, etc.) all unique non- big box items. My pooch loved all the smells. The staff was super friendly and informed. Items were a little pricey ($8 for a toy or small treats) but for the quality it was worth it. Store a little small but well-stocked and maintained. A lot of unique hard to find healthy options and accessories for dogs and cats. Parking on street or in lot behind the Main Street. Not sure why this store is getting such good reviews. I called several times before attempting to go there and there was no answer (and yes, this was after the store opened). I did decide to stop by in person since I pass right by there almost everyday. When I walked in, there were several people just sitting around talking. No one offered to help me. I asked about a particular item that someone told me they usually sell, and I was simply told "Yeh, we usually have those but not today." No other explanation was given, and again, no one offered to help or suggest a alternative to what I was looking for. I will not be returning. read more

We walked there from our house to get our dog's food. The store is real nice and we are always warmly greeted. In fact this past weekend we walked up early on Saturday morning to eat breakfast in Catonsville and stopped by after not realizing the store didnt open til 11am which was an hour away still. We turned to walk home when the guy in the store opened the door and told us to come on in and get what we needed. He was super helpful and it's nice to have that kind of customer service. read more

We get our cat food and toys here. My boyfriend is a real spoiler and he will only get the cats the Best of the best in terms of food. We get healthy wet food and freeze dried dry food here, and the cats go Nuts for it all. We also have a Wide assortment of toys from here, little mice, catnip vegetables, feather toys, everything. This place has a Great selection. My only complaint is that we have been trying to order a cat scratcher and have had a lot of trouble finding out the status of our order or hearing back on when it will come in. read more
