This is just for the Russian lady who works the floor. She refused to give me a lizard! The most bizarre thing, she walked away from me at first after telling me all about how to take care of them, then had an attitude trying to make me pay for all this stuff when all I wanted was the lizard. I'm not sure if it's because I look young or because I'm black or just because all I know is I was refused a lizard & I'm sad about it. Everyone else was AMAZING, just her.

Just left Petco on Washington Blvd., and I am not satisfied at all. I took my 5 month old Yorkie Poo "Neno" in for grooming with Mac (the groomer) this morning which suppose to consist of bath, hair cut, & nail clipping. They ended up charging me an extra $10 for what they called a facial which I did not consent too, he smells weird and does not look well groomed. Upon booking his appointment price was $35.00 and I ended up paying a little over $50.00, Plus a Tip for the groomer. I certainly will not trust my pet with this location ever again. Oh, and let me not forget to mention that the appointment was scheduled for 10:45am, Mac told me Neno will be done in about 2/3 hrs. It wasn't until 2pm that I got my pup back. Very disappointed!!!!

Always a great place to get your dog groomed. Prices are reasonable. The groomers were so pleasant and helpful. My dog looked adorable! My dog and I will be back.

We headed here to get better dog food and cat food, instead of ordering it online. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and the store was clean and well organized. We checked out the snakes and birds as we walked around. The employees were helpful, but not annoying. Really good prices, and selection. Got some chew bones for the pups that should hold them for a.....couple days. lol. Will include this store in our regular shopping for the four legged kids. Greg was especially helpful, and knew about the products.

Our dog trainer, Katie, moved to this location from the Beltsville location. So Harley and I trekked to this location to finish our puppy training. Katie is the absolute best. My puppy Harley loves her too. He gets so excited when he sees her coming and she was super patient when Harley was 3 classes ahead on one skill but two classes behind on a different skill. 2 months later I have a super happy, healthy, and obedient puppy!

Today was my 2 y.o. Golden Retriever's first grooming experience at Petco (I previously did mobile grooming) and I will be back! I think the groomer's name was Kordell, but he did a wonderful job. He was very helpful and kind when I arrived, and he did a great job making Logan look fresh!

Somehow the wife found Loinhart and she convinced me to come to interview Linda, the owner with her. When Linda told me she's been training dogs for over 25 years, I asked her how much, she swiped my credit card and I left the dog with her. I picked the dog up 10 weeks later. He learned 10 words. And he learned them well! Now the dog is 20 months old and is unbelievably and extremely well behaved. I attribute Leo the dog's manners and attention and calmness and even his health to the 10 weeks that he spent being trained there. If you want a really well behaved dog I highly recommend this lady. She has some funny rules like don't come inside her facility until you're called but if you listen to her, she won't disappoint you. Now 20 months later, the older the dog gets the better he behaves. It's unbelievable how the 10 words he knows takes care of every situation that the dog gets into that needs correcting. Tell her Yasmin's husband recommended her.

Our very first interaction was great...his energy was wonderful...he did not disappoint! He was very methodical with his approach...explaining every step of the process...very engaging...constant updates of the Boyz progress...videos, photos...wait! The photos that I received were Ahhhhhhh-mazing, I mean impressive...only to learn that he's a photographer as well...but I digress. The Boyz are spoiled and I have no shame in stating this...*smile*. But they needed to learn manners. I have two large and very strong Standard Poodles - Mr. Brown and Max. They're extremely smart, pretty obedient in the house, but a huge challenge on walks...my poor dog walker. I wanted to be able to take them anywhere without the extended conversations of sit, stay, what are you doing? you know better... etc. At any rate, I'd been following OLK9 Maryland for some time online. I knew that training for two dogs was going to be a budget buster. Thankfully, I was able to take advantage of the "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" (can't remember which one it was). I cannot say enough about the great experience I had...the Boyz were happy to see Craig each day which was a HUGE relief for me. Yes, additional work/training on my part is required...to me that's a no brainer. As a responsible pet owner, I want to make sure that there is consistency and an expectation that my Boyz are well behaved and well mannered. Which means I have to do the work. Funny, as I was driving home from our final session, I was so tempted to take them on a short walk because I knew it would be enjoyable. But decided to wait until morning... I'm so excited to be able to have an enjoyable walk with these guys... less scolding and more bonding. Well worth the time and financial commitment. Thank you OLK9 Maryland for bringing additional joy to our home... things are definitely more "manageable". I'm really looking forward to our walks, especially since there will be NO more pulling! Can't wait to be able to take them to the "brick and mortar" with me once it's open! "Life Changing K9 Training"

I was desperate to help my dog and myself and Off Leash K9 had good reviews. What these folks didn't tell me was that my dog's reactivity, what I thought was outright aggression, was actually fear - that she was scared of all of these things and trying to protect herself from them. So with the use of the e-collar (really just a shock collar let's be honest), I punished her every time she showed a fear response at Off Leash K-9's direction. This definitely changed her behavior, but rather than helping her feel more comfortable with the things that scared her, we instead punished her for being afraid and taught her to hide her fear responses. I wish I had looked at the science behind dog behavior, because I now know research shows that punishment through things like e-collars, buzz collars, spray bottles, etc. are incredibly counterproductive to changing dog behavior long term and they seriously traumatize the dog. I'm so very grateful to have met a Fear Free trainer who taught me about positive reinforcement. It has improved my relationship with my dog immensely and it has ultimately lead to the sustained behavior change I was looking for. Please do not waste your money on abusive, ignorant training through Off Leash K9.

I was given a business card for East Coast Academy of Dog Training. The best recommendation ever. Initially, Paige was unmanageable on a leash. Her fear and anxiety caused her to be hyper reactive to wildlife, sounds, sudden movements. She would not respond to commands and she pulled me wherever she wanted to go. The first time Rob walked into my house, the whole energy changed. Rob has the most wonderful voice. He is soft-spoken. He never raises his voice. He has endless patience. Paige loved him from the first moment. For the first several visits, we worked inside on basic behaviors - come, sit, wait, etc. Paige caught on pretty quickly. So did I! It was as much about me learning as it was Paige. Rob always leaves detailed notes covering the lessons of the day. And consistent practice between visits is paramount. Then we began working on leash training for walks. Rob has given me valuable tools to make walks a positive experience for both Paige and I. We are still a work in progress and, weather permitting, I make a point of walking every day. Paige is so much happier and so much calmer. After 5 visits, I kept telling Rob that I needed more training. In his wonderful, calm way, he said that I didn't need more. That I had the tools to be successful and that he was only a phone call away if I needed to talk through anything. Rob never pushes additional visits if he feels you are ready to fly on your own. He has decades of experience. Go check out his website for additional detail. I appreciate Rob so much. He has made both Paige and I so much more confident. If you're looking for a more supervised daycare environment, structured play, hands-on one-on-one,…read moreor group training, I would highly recommend them. It's very clear how much the staff knows, and how deeply they care about every single dog that walks through their doors. Over the past few months, this is the fourth daycare we've tried for our dog. The first one we chose to leave. The next two either wouldn't accept her or ultimately asked her not to return. Our dog is an over 80-lb American Bully, and she truly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. We started daycare and boarding when she was about 8 months old. At nearly 50 lbs already, she was placed with the large dogs. In this large group play, the challenge wasn't aggression; it was that she was young, playful, and didn't always understand when another dog didn't want to engage. Two facilities told us they couldn't keep her in group play because other dogs would become reactive when she missed social cues and it wasn't safe for them or the dogs. After the second rejection, we reached out to friends and were highly encouraged to try Pet-U-Cation. We were told upfront that the training and care are exceptional, but as a small business with limited overhead and office staff, communication can sometimes require patience (which has also been our experience). Her evaluation went great. After two day-training sessions, she became a regular at daycare, and she absolutely loves it! The growth we've seen in her socialization and ability to read other dogs has been incredible. It's also reinforced the training we're doing at home and helping her overall learning and development (consistency really is key). We love that there is no more coming home from daycare with newly acquired bad habits.
