Yet another Old Ellicott City gem. They pack a lot of different stuff into this tiny powerhouse of a store. I went to get an ice cream cake for my little girl's adoptiversary and they did not disappoint. There were several flavors to choose from (I went with maple bacon) and wound up walking out with a few other treats I hadn't intended on getting. Reasonable prices, friendly employee. Great selection of dog toys, food and treats. I had never been here before and my friend took me as she wanted to get some raw bar goodies for her pup. I had never heard of this so I tagged along. They have duck heads, turkey necks, fish skin, and more in the raw bar. All dehydrated and ready to bag. I got some treats for my dog which she loved. It's very difficult to get in and out of the parking lot since it's right on Main st. I will try to back in next time! read more

Wonderful time of year to visit Savage Mill, lots of lights and greenery. And outside the Clipper's Canine Café was a holiday tree decorated with clear balls filled with paw-printed dog treats. A sign announced that all proceeds from the treats go to a local rescue group so, of course, I had to buy some for my "4-legged girls." The store has a nice variety of pet products, dog and cat. The pet foods are all high quality. We are well stocked right now so I didn't compare prices though I did notice that they have a "frequent buyer" plan for dog food. We picked up a bag of peanut butter healthy treats, wheat free, in addition to the other treats. There was a nice selection of dog toys, collars, grooming products, bandanas and other pet products. The store was clean and well organized. A number of products were produced locally and the clerk (owner?) seemed very familiar with who and where the products came from. We don't live close enough to make this our regular stop for food and supplies but, if in the area, will definitely stop back in to pick up some more treats for the pups. read more

We recently discovered Clipper's online and decided to visit to get some unique treats for our spoiled pup. I'm so glad we did, too - it had been years and years since I was last in old Ellicott City, and I loved visiting, remembering what a beautiful town it is, and supporting the local businesses there working to rebuild. After our first visit, we came back again recently to participate in the Howl-O-Ween event; our pup and kids had a great time trick-or-treating up and down the street, and I loved being able to see more of what old Ellicott City has to offer. Everything in the store is as local as they can get it and it's all quality stuff. The staff is amazing and they always not only remember my girlfriend and I but they remember our dog and what she likes.
