I was asked for my social security number. I then called and asked around and there is no legal remedy for a pawn shop to ask you for your social security number, unless you're purchasing a firearm. They can ask for a state government issued id or passport and that should be it for sales and purchase's. I don't recommend anyone giving out their social security number to any pawn shop employee. Shout out kirby, he gives you straight up fair offers when selling and doesn't ask for social security numbers. read more

Came in attempting to get some cash for my laptop, laptop is missing a singular piece that covers the two bolts on the side and the wire in the middle. Cosmetic, but understandable why it wouldn't be accepted. What isn't acceptable was how the employee handled the transaction. Instead of being polite or respectful about it he simply said "we can't take the laptop in pieces" and walked off immediately turning his back to me. The laptop was only missing one piece so to say it was in pieces was incorrect and to be so dismissive and turn your back on a customer regardless of what's going on is disrespectful and a first for me at loyalty pawn. Came in around 9 am April 21st, there were three people and I would've rather the black man or the other Caucasian male with darker hair helped me, the whole situation left me feeling frustrated because 1 employee feels it's okay to say whatever he wants no matter how incorrect it is and be dismissive to customers. I experienced discrimination at this location. I came in to pay off my loan, and an employee immediately told me to take off my hoodie. I asked why, and he said it was their policy. However, I looked around and noticed multiple people wearing hats and other head coverings, yet nothing was said to them. When I stepped outside, I checked the sign, which clearly stated "No hats, no hoodies, no sunglasses." So why was I singled out? Why was I the only one told to remove something, while others were allowed to break the same policy? The employee was rude and unprofessional. If you're going to enforce a policy, do it fairly--not selectively. I can't help but feel I was targeted, either due to racial profiling or because I'm an LGBTQ woman. The men wearing hats weren't approached at all. I won't be coming back, and I'm relieved my loan is paid off. I'll also be contacting corporate since the employee claimed to be the manager. I went to make a payment on my loan. Asked if I paid it off and pawned it again if I would get more money this time around and the gentleman said he could just reevaluate the loan and thankfully the value had increased so I got a decent chunk back and also saved the money for the payment. So thankful I'm one to ask questions cause that extra money really helps right now! The guy was very nice and helpful. They always give good service. The associate who helped me was friendly. I wasn't able to get the price I wanted, but what else can I expect from a pawn shop -- they need to make money too. I probably would get half the value of my product as opposed to when it was new, which isn't actually all that bad. Love the cleanliness of the place, and the well-organized lobby. I left four stars because the associate seemed kind of in his own zone, but he was still friendly and didn't express any attitude or annoyance -- just in his own zone. I've been with this place for over 15 years today I took both my Jbl speakers in to pawn as I did 1 month ago and the month prior to that , one of them has the plastic end piece broke off but it's been that way from day one. When I went in there was a very young Hispanic girl that had a power trip and started knocking things down but because my id was expired she refused service howeve the 3 months prior I used the same expired id as well, so I get my son to do it and when we got back not only did this rude little girl put a note on my account not to take it, the other girl only loaned me half of what I've been getting the last 3 times, and the manager standing next to her said we have to reevaluate it which is a lie because as I said I've been coming here for over 15 years, the singled me out, poor customer service, and they all stuck together to cover for the other ones bad attitude I won't ever be going back to this location due to horrible customer service with ghetto employees read more

I just had a remarkably wonderful experience at Loyalty Pawn on Broadway. I live on the other side of town but was in the area, so I stopped by to check out their guitar selection. It is great. I saw a used guitar in near mint condition, plugged it in for tryout, and was impressed. It was priced just as one might expect from checking eBay. I kept thinking, how much should I offer for this? The fellow helping me, Dominic, was a good listener and is a wonderfully nice young man. I ended up asking how much they might sell it for and he went to check. When he came back he suggested a generous price that I would have been a fool to pass up. I bought it then and there. This Broadway store has a great vibe, great people, and great merchandise. They don't care about their customers. I came in to purchase some xbox one controllers. To find out the controllers are the first generation and not able to connect to computers/pc. When I wanted to return it, they said it needs to be broken in order for a full refund . I said," I can go home break it then bring it back? " then they said no because I intentionally broke it. Instead they offer me an exchange for store credit I said no I want a refund they keep going back n forth and they can't do nothing about it. All I wanted was a refund. My review will seem a bit far fetched but is totally true. Our family from out of town was visiting when their car was broken into. Several items were taken, some of sentimental value. My husband, trying to think of a way to recover the items, went to Capital City Loan & Jewelry to see if someone had come in to pawn the merchandise. The manager took his name and number, and low and behold twenty minutes later someone came in and tried to sell the items claiming they belonged to their parents. The manager took the property, called the police, and notified us. I was amazed at how honest and professional the manager was, even keeping the shop open late as the police helped us fill out a police report. Although I've never been one to shop at a pawn shop, I would happily return again knowing that we received such great service! read more
