I had struck…read moresome debris in the road, and requested a tow to come and change my tire, or tow me to shop that could. I could not loosen the lug nuts. Well, the driver showed up.....finally. He was unable to loosen the lug nuts, also. He then states, I'll be back, as he had to go back to the shop to get tools. When he came back, he ended up rounding off the lug nuts. He then gathered up his tools, and said he couldn't do the job. I then asked him,what do I owe you for the work that was done, to which he answered, "how does a $100 sound?" I then explained to him it sounds like I'm getting f#@ked. We ended up settling on a lesser amount, at which time, I was still on the side of the road, in worse shape than I began. Nickolich Towing is the absolute worst company I have dealt with. After a recent accident, they…read moretowed my vehicle to their location. When my insurance company tried to schedule the release of my vehicle, Nickolich would not release it unless the bill was paid in CASH (the total was $533 - this was for a tow & 2.5 days in their tow yard). btw...I am from out of state, so there was no way I could have even dropped off CASH. They stated that the only way they could accept payment by check is if they had worked a lot with my insurance company (a national company, btw), since they have not, it is CASH only. The funny thing about this though is that Nickolich was willing to pick up a check from my Adjustor, but they didn't know him from Adam. After a bunch of run around with Nickolich, my insurance company contacted another tow company in the area, that actually agreed to pay Nickolich to release my vehicle & they would bill my insurance company. Thank goodness for Hamilton Towing for doing this...they were so friendly & such a blessing! To wrap up, my adjuster even stated that Nickolich was a bunch of crooks. There is definitely something shady going on there. Avoid them at all costs (and trust me...they are quite the cost). They really made a difficult situation, even worse...they are NOT for their customers...they are only about the money.
