Literally my favorite burger place of all time. Up until the day I stepped foot in this place Nations (in San Fran) held the top spot in my heart for delicious burgers. Recently though one of my friends mentioned LR Burger and I knew I needed to check it out. It took me a year to get there but I am so glad I took the leap and decided to try it. The first time we went I "chickened" out and got the Buffalo mother clucker sandwich which was "wowza!" So stinking good I had dreams about it which made me extra sure their burgers would be amazing. I saw the SouthPaw a double patty with blue cheese sauce tomato, & lettuce on the menu the next time and it was like pure kismet I knew that was my burger. I ordered it and what do you know it was phenomenal I mean pure bliss to partake in! There is something for everyone my very picky kiddo loved the Oklahoma and couldn't stop talking about how delish it was! Every single time I am remotely in the Monroe area (which is every day twice a day) I have to talk myself out of going to get one. So good. 10/10. My top burger in all 50 states so far. We just moved to Monroe aka the cutest town ever! My friend and I wanted to try a burger at LR burger and we are so happy we did! I got the Dirty Sancho and the flavor of it was outstanding from the meat to the egg and the Chorizo! The fries were seriously the best fries I've had at a restaurant in so long! What's your secret . We sent a picture to our husbands showing them off and they were so jealous until we told them we would go back and get them for them later. We got them both the Dirty Sancho and they devoured them and can't wait to return back to LR burger with us for a double date night. Their workers were very sweet and patient also. Why do so many people say they love this place? Was the place great at some point? This was our second time and it was that same cold leather in an over-toasted bun. My wife's lettuce looked like it was around when the city of Monroe was founded (1818), I had a pickle end with a stem still attacked in my burger, and not even the intelligence of AI could find a redeeming quality for our daughters fries. My mom always said if you're going to be negative, say at least one good thing to even it out. Well, the Oreo shake was good. Went to LR Burger today for lunch. There was a small crowd and restaurant was half empty. Walked to counter to order with my wife. She got the Mr Jones, and added pimento cheese fries. I tried to order the grilled chicken club but was told they didn't have chicken. I settled for a "Dirty Sancho", a 2 smashburger patties with chorizo, feta, and an egg. It was ok. I'm not a big fan of smashburgers and probably would not have come here if I'd known there was no chicken today. My wife likes their burgers and hers comes with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pimento cheese. She liked hers today. We also got a side of pimento fries. Ordered a pretty big order for pick up and maybe that's what made a difference in my review compared to what I see on yelp. Since it was a big order I'll only be reviewing what I ordered for myself. I ordered fried pickles, pimento cheese fries, and the Patrick Swayze burger. Service from what we experienced was great. Ordered online and forgot a burger. Gave them a call and the gentleman that answered was very pleasant and was able to add the burger to our order. We just paid the difference when we picked up. Again, maybe because we ordered to go it affected the quality of our food. Maybe. The fried pickles which is a pretty big portion was very greasy and salty. They were on the thinner side so you didn't get much pickle. More like fried batter w/a hint of pickle. We ordered two orders of the fried pickles and neither got finished because of that fact. Pimento fries were probably the best thing we ordered including all the burgers. Portion was big enough to share. Hot, cheesy, with a little kick from the pickled jalapeños. I would've been happy with just these fries. Regular fries were regular fries.. a little soggy by the time we got them. My Patrick Swayze burger is supposed to be "crazy hot" but honestly I was so confused because it was def lacking that heat. Reading the description I thought I was going to get something crazy looking that was going to mess up my insides but it definitely lacked luster. Patties are thin "smashed" and more on the well side vs medium well like stated on the menu. Everyone was very much disappointed with their burgers and the fact that they don't come with fries.. we spent almost $200. For what it's worth I don't think the burgers are worth it. You could go to five guys get something similar if not better. Also, LR Burger is a sister restaurant of Local Republic in Lawrenceville which I've been to before. I've had the Swayze sauce by itself at Local Republic and it isn't as spicy as they make it seem. I know if I would've made the connection sooner, not a couple hours after, I probably wouldn't have ordered from LR Burger just because my food experience from Local Republic wasn't that great either. read more

A great little burger place in Monroe. I am not a huge fan of burgers but I appreciate that they have a veggie burger option! ***LOCATION*** Right off the old down town area so easy to walk to if you're walking around down town! There is plenty of parking around the area, especially the evening. ***ATMOSPHERE*** There are a decent amount of tables on the inside and there is a nice patio area as well. The staff are welcoming and the inside is overall very bright and can be a little noisy if it's crowded, but nothing crazy. ***FOOD*** Love that they have a veggie burger. It is good and clearly very tall (as seen in the photo). I really like the fries in particular, they are fresh hand cut fries. I'll sometimes just order the pimento cheese fries side as my meal. It's definitely big enough and very filling. I'm not as much a fan of their shakes but my family loves them! I am just not the biggest ice cream fan a part from certain very specific flavors and shakes. These shakes almost taste too homemade for me. I'm sure no one would ever complain about that but the main issue is that I think the chocolate ones are just vanilla with chocolate syrup mixed in, or that's what it tastes like and I hate chocolate syrup. I also prefer shakes with something crunchy like Oreo or m&m or chocolate chip pieces. these are just plain homemade tasting, which is definitely a plus for most people! ***CONCLUSION*** Great restaurant downtown for those that like burgers and shakes! They even have alcoholic drinks and cheerwine! Came here for a quick lunch on January 14th. It was my first time stopping in. The menu was typical of a burger place with the exception of the boozy shakes and cocktails. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger that also had grilled onions. It was tasty but very greasy and there was a white curly hair on the tray that they brought the food out on. I also got fries. The lady that brought the food out had white curly hair so I just took the hair off the tray, it had obviously just fallen from her shirt as she was bringing the food out.
