Stopped in for dinner and was super impressed with Monroe's newest burger spot. I certainly think the area needed a business like this and I hope they find much success! I had the burger with pimento cheese on it. Bacon was thick cut, three nice size slices. These burgers are thin smashburgers but the fry portions are generous and I was stuffed! Prices are definitely reasonable for what it is. Dining area is pretty large with regular height tables and also table/booth seats. There is outside seating (stools and tables) for nicer weather and it looks like the garage door may go up. Lots of red and black to support the Dawgs! Bathrooms are gender neutral and clean! Restaurant was very clean too and instagramable. Beer selection is local brews (no Bud Light etc.) but the taps seems to rotate. I will most definitely be back! read more

If i ever end up on death row by chance and have to choose my final meal i'll be choosing this one. While i cannot speak on the meat, i can say that the black bean burger is the perfect consistency and texture for those wanting a plant based alternative. You can add anything to any of the burgers so there are plenty of options for anyone- from carnivores to vegetarians. I will say if you're going with someone and you want fries ONLY one person should order them because they give enough to feed a family of ten. Anyways the only downside to this place is that it gets very crowded- like line out the door crowded and they have limited seating. You more than likely will have to awkwardly hover over someone while you wait for a table after you order- if one opens up you gotta make a bee line. The parking situation is also not ideal bc they only have a few spots outside the building (which are usually taken) so you'll probs have to park across the street in some random downtown parking spots. read more

It was a decent burger. I am a little over tipping for counter service. The woman who delivered our food (how hard is that) pointed to where I could go get my own plastic utensils, napkins etc. I wouldn't tip at a McDonald's or any other fast food place and they don't ask on their receipts. Had a day full of meetings in Monroe GA. Needed a quick lunch for the team. We did a quick search for burgers and came across LR Burger. Wow! Glad we did! Each of the burgers we ordered was GREAT, and LR Burger staff provided our "to go" order quickly and accurately. This place IS NOT kid friendly! During the car show last weekend we stoped in and I asked about getting my child (8 months old) a chicken breast, just a chicken breast. The employee behind the counter rang up a $10 chicken sandwich and when I asked about just a chicken breast she said she couldn't ring it up like that. Went in with the kids and grandkids. Service was slow. Burger was poor quality and tasted average...maybe. Ordered two orders of fries and they brought one. When we finally tracked down the server, she insisted they had given us two orders and would not correct the issue. The customer is seen as more of an interruption than a guest. This is our go-to for burgers and fries in Monroe. It can often be crowded, but with the outside seating, we have always found a seat whether just the 2 of us or all 6. The fries are AMAZING!! Last time I ordered the pimento cheese fries as my entire meal. My kids hate pimento cheese, so I thought I'd get my own meal. Well these fries were better than I expected and the portion was huge. My 2 late teen boys and youngest daughter all tried them, none were left. They were not overly topped with pimento cheese - so all my kids devoured them. My wife and I visited LR Burger in Monroe Ga. on Thursday May 2 2024 around 2 pm for the first time. I ordered the smash republic burger with fries and my wife got a naked dog. We both got fountain drinks, the burger was nothing special with about the only flavor being alot of salt which I do not like, the bun was stale, the fries were very greasy over cooked home style which appeared to be old or reheated. My wife did not like her hot dog which was big but she didnt like the taste after one bite she was done. Had to take her else where to get something she likes. Upon first arrival all the staff were out back smoking I'm assuming and was a few moments wait after going to the counter to order. Saw this happen a couple times while we were there. The white female taking our order spoke so backwoods ghetto that I couldn't understand her. Upon leaving I was looking for a trash can to put our trash in and tray away but I saw none I did see quite a few trays on other tables in which folks had just left theirs and were not yet picked up and table cleaned. So I just left our tray and trash on the table. Upon leaving the staff were still out back sitting on the curb, smoking?, talking? whatever they were doing. The cost for the burger, 1 fry, 1 naked dog and 2 fountain drinks was right at $23.00 and like alot of restaurants it asks for a tip for basically nothing. For a few dollars more I could have went to Outback or somewhere that was good. Not saying LR was terrible or great it was just so so. This was our first try but I wouldn't spend my money here again. After church today we stopped by this restaurant for lunch... needless to say we were disappointed. After ordering two burgers, one order of fries, water and a salted caramel milkshake we selected indoor seating and in less than two minutes our order was placed on the table. (There was no way these burgers weren't already cooked and just waiting to be placed on a bun!) It is said a picture is worth a thousand words so just take a look at the three photos. In one photo you see the burger and fries. Note the tomato and the hard 'white center' if you can take your eyes off the 'thick onion spear' that I doubt most people would want to eat. The fries were over cooked and I would guess sitting in fry basket for a while. Another photo shows the two very thin and very dry over cooked meat patties after I took a bite. The third photo is a closer view of the fries. The milkshake was just OK but I didn't finish it because there was little flavor. The final analysis... if you want to pay $23 for two dry thin burgers with overcooked fries and one milkshake... well I guess this is the place for you. So do not place a grub hub order. My order was to be delivered between 1259 and 119. It's now 116 and LR Burger just called to tell me no drivers in area. This would have been good to know BEFORE placing my order or better yet before they cooked my order. I'm sitting at auto repair shop and can not drive to Pick up! They said I could pickup or cancel, well cancel is only option. Thought this would be a good time to try a new place in town. So much for that idea! Located just a block or so off Main Street, it has a plain dining area that's comfortable to eat and socialize in. Hostess was very friendly and helpful. The burgers were very good. We both ordered a build your own burger with double patties. Very good flavor with a soft fresh bun. Fries appeared to be cut in store as you could still see the skin on some, which I like. We both also had a milkshake which are made on site. I had the salted caramel which was quite good. They also make a shake with what I believe was bourbon in it, though we did not try that one. Delicious addition to the Monroe area. I love the different kind of burger options they are very unique not to mention the other sandwich options. I can't wait to work my way through the menu! My favorite thing about LR Burger is the meat patties are seasoned well. The fries here are pretty awesome too, hand cut, and you get a pile of them with your order. They also have unique drink options from the fountain such as cheerwine and ginger beer. I really hate that they have paper straws but what you gonna do? A real winner has arrived in Monroe, and its superpower is amazing food, well-prepared dishes, and excellent customer service and efficiency from staff. We finally visited the next installment of Local Republic fame ( For the uninitiated- Big Brother is Local Republic, Middle Brother is Strange Taco, both Lawrenceville) meet the "New Kid," LR Burger in the evolving streets of Monroe. Atmosphere- the industrial, modern vibe of these restaurants always wow upon walking in. And the WOW is the delicious smells that hit you as you walk in, which kicks up sight of decor. The greeting on the left hand wall simply says, EAT. I love the feel as this restaurant-like the original LR, now Strange Taco- was also converted from an old filling station. You walk in, queue up at the counter (it works at Strange Taco so keep the formula going), order from the paper menu which includes a mix of burgers, salads, shakes, & cocktails (check out the adult slushies). Draft beers on the wall next to the register. Order, pay, and if getting water/fountain drinks you will get your cups and receipt, and a table number. Find your seat, and settle in. The front room to the right is a little more echo and bounces sound. We stayed in the entrance room near register and found it to be quite quiet considering the concrete and metal in the dining room. Food- winner. The variety on the menu is simple - many types of burgers, hot dogs, salads for the non-burger eater, kids menu, and beverages. For LR fans, there are quite a few old favorites including the Patrick Swayze, The Sink, and Mr. Jones. And plenty of good options like The Mother Clucker, 2 kinds of Vegetarian burgers, and a variety of Different ones. We went for familiar, Mary Had a Little Lamb and the Shrimp and Grits. We split an order of natural cut fries, and ordered up one cocktail and a vanilla shake. The choices were perfect. The lamb burger included thin ground lamb patties with pickled onions and tzatziki sauce. The Shrimp and Grits had a true shrimp patty made out of shrimp with a fried grit cake and smothered in the best andouille roux I have tasted. We both agreed this one was worth it- and I would order it again! The shake was lovely at 3.50 and the cocktail reasonable at 8. The food won me over. EVERYTHING was cooked perfectly and all delivered fast and fresh. We only sat for a few minutes before all was delivered to the table. Service- on point. This can sometimes go either way but from cashier, servers, managers, and crew, everyone was smiling and happy to be there. Customer service won here. Overall for a new restaurant just opened in the last few weeks, food and service are excelling and Monroe is being treated to value and faster food. Well done, LR Burger! read more

Got there around 12:30 for lunch. Crowd was good. From the time you order to when you get your food is less then 15 minutes. The service is excellent the staff is polite and friendly. Good selection of adult beverages, the soda fountain has unique chooses that i hope they keep. The burger is the reason for the three star. The lettuce, tomatoes, onion and bun was fresh. The burger itself was way way over cooked. My wife and i both got the smash burger. Both were burnt on one side of the burgers and dried out because of this. If you dont know the secret to a smash burger, dont attempt to make them. Told the staff and they took my complaint but seemed unsure of what to do. I will go back because of the staff and from what the other peoples burgers looked like. They have a selection of specialty burgers. I want to try. read more
