LR Landscaping installed pavers around our pool in 2020. Last winter, one of the pavers sunk a couple inches. They came promptly to repair it and discovered an old irrigation pipe was not properly capped (work done by a different team who dug the trench). The team spent a few hours--at no charge--repairing. They turned off the water source, preventing any future problems, and re-laid the pavers once the repair was complete. It looks as good as new! I called Lee to give us an estimate for a retaining wall that we are planning on having built. He happened to be in our area when I called, and was able to set a time just a few hours from when I called to come and have a look. He arrived right on time. He spent a long time discussing our project with us, and what he and his team could do. It was obvious he had a great deal of experience building retaining walls, and knew what had to be done, and how to do it. We happened to mention we needed to repair or replace our flagstone pathway. He doesn't do flagstone itself, but he did suggest a paver that looks just like random flagstones, but has several advantages compared to the real thing. At no time did we ever feel under any pressure to "choose him". He was simply professional, honest, and open with what he could do, and how it would be done. He sent us a detailed bid, breaking out the retaining wall and flagstone-like paver work separately, so we could do one, or both. His price for the retaining wall was in line with other estimates we'd gotten (and the paver pathway seemed reasonable, but we had no comparisons for that). In the end, we decided to go with a different contractor, who could do all the landscaping we are planning on. (Lee's company focuses on hardscapes only.) 5/5! Amazing. Here is a run-down of how I got my score for LR PAVERS. My score is based on the five topics: communication, customer service, team, time to schedule/complete project, and execution. 1. Communication: I requested a call from LR Pavers through YELP. I did this because a company we were going to go with was going on over a month to get back to us with a quote. I kid you not, less than 10 minutes after submitting my request Bill, the project manager called me. We was informative, not over bearing, and provided facts of why pavers is more desired than stamped/stained concrete. He highly recommended that I travel to a company where they paved all the parking lots with different pavers to get an idea of what the finished product would look like. Needless to say, I was sold! Throughout our project Bill was easy to get a hold of. I would just email him and he would either email or call me back (even on the weekends!) 2. Customer Service: Professional, professional, PROFESSIONAL! Bill came to our house to get measurements. He was very kind and conscientious that it was muddy out in our backyard and didn't want to track mud inside (thank you Bill). When Miguel and his team came to work on our backyard, they were so very polite. Any questions they would have, they would knock on the front door and ask, and any questions we had, they were happy to stop what they were doing to address. Our backyard is not huge but it was a complete mud-pit with a slope and a dingy wooden retaining wall. One side of our backyard is about 30 feet and the other side about 12 feet, so we have a weird triangular shape. It only took the crew 5.5 business days (weekends off) to complete! We even came across a road bump with a gas line trench and without a moment to spare, they continued working on our project without any additional stress. 5. Execution: our life has been changed. NO JOKE! We now have a beautiful, enjoyable backyard that we just can't get enough of. My husband and I hosted a BBQ the first weekend we had the finished backyard and our whole family LOVED it! Lee was the first guy we called when we started looking into getting pavers done in our backyard and front yard. He responded to my call right away and set an appointment. During our first meeting he helped us understand what pavers are and gave us ideas on what we should do with our empty backyard. He gave us a rough estimate that same night. We told him we'd get back to him. So the normal thing was to get quotes from other people of course. I called about 3-4 people and two other people responded right away and the others just never called back. The 2nd person who gave us a quote wanted over 15k more than what Lee had bid for. And when we asked if we could meet halfway on the price we were basically left with a backyard that we really didn't want anymore bc of trying to meet our budget. We were only given one style of pavers (1....uno...!!) and we wanted synthetic grass but to meet our budget we were forced to go with real grass which is something we did not want bc we wanted low maintenance. The final bid ended up being 5k less than their first bid. The 3rd bid came from a much bigger company which did businesses around the bay area. So when the guy came he pretty much tried to sell us a lavish backyard. The kind where they're pretty much trying to upsell you on everything. He was a great salesman for sure bc we started saying yes to everything. When we asked for a quote he wanted to set up a meeting again. We did and then he called last minute and said he had to go to the a meeting in SJ. Then he failed to meet us another time. When we finally met to get our quote he went through the whole plan and and talked about why we should go with their company before he could even tell us that it's almost DOUBLE of what our budget was which was 20k over. So 3 weeks later we asked Lee to come back a second time and he spray painted the back to give us a clearer picture. We agreed to go with him and we are very HAPPY (doing the happy dance) that we went with him. He promised us 8 days to get our backyard done and he delivered and then some. His guys were awesome and worked efficiently. It was beautiful watching them work. It was like a poetry in motion. Each day they cleaned after themselves. On the 8th day we had a BEAUTIFUL backyard that we were so PROUD to show off. All of our friends and family commented on how beautiful our backyard is now. Can't say enough good things about the awesome job LR Landscaping and Pavers did in installing our 2,100 square foot driveway/walkway. Lee, the owner, originally came out to provide us with a bid for the project, whereas the others sent salespeople out. The demolition revealed an old cement walkway under the brick walkway - no matter, they hauled it all away. Finished in 2.5 days. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the quality of the wood for the fence they installed was not that great, and it took a while to take away the extra pavers. I contracted with L R to demo my existing concrete patio and replace it with pavers and stone steps up to my house. Jason took measurements and photos, then wrote up the bid. Theirs was not the highest bid, nor the lowest, but I had a good feeling about the company. A couple months ago, I contacted this company for an estimate to replace a retaining wall. Bill seemed nice, called right away, sent some email options, and made an appointment to come out for an estimate. A dramatic change when he came out. We had to replace our existing concrete driveway, entryway, and side yard access, due to tree roots making is extremely uneven and hazardous. We looked into both concrete and pavers. During the process we had received about 4 bids, and I wanted to better understand the difference in the brands of pavers that we were being recommended and quoted. In doing that internet search I found LR Landscaping & Pavers. Due to the thoroughness and quality of their website I called them for a quote. Jason responded very quickly. He came out discussed the project with us, and committed to providing us a quote over the weekend. He did so. Their price was the most reasonable of all that we received, so we selected them. The project was initially scheduled for the end of October. I received a phone call from Jason explaining they were running ahead of schedule, and could they start tomorrow? The timing worked out for us, and they started at 7:00am on a Wednesday. They completed the project the following Tuesday. The project involved demolition of almost 2,000 sq ft of concrete, and the removal of some substantial roots; then the installation of the pavers. The crew was on site every morning at 7:00am, stopping at about 4:00pm. The end result of the project is magnificent! As I have seen mentioned in other reviews of LR Pavers, their communication, professionalism, commitment to excellence is outstanding, which is unfortunately, something that is rarely found nowadays. There were 2 small issues after completion of the project that I discussed with Jason (who always responded immediately), and they came out the next day and took care of both. We have been planning to re-landscape our backyard since we moved in 14 years ago. We finally decided to end the procrastination. We started with collecting bids from several companies that specialize in Pavers, and that also had positive reviews on Yelp/Angie's List. Lee's bid had everything we wanted, at a reasonable price, that did not nickel and dime us, for every little component, like connecting drains, etc. Lee was also very flexible during the project. Always happy to accommodate reasonable changes and additions. We ended up adding a walkway, that I now can't believe we lived so long with out. The final project was beautiful, 1300 sq feet of pavers, retaining wall, sitting wall, etc. In addition, Lee worked with my Patio Cover contractor (Don's Awnings) in order to coordinate permit work, and inspections. If you plan on doing pavers and having a patio cover as well, its best to have the work coordinated. We originally were going to wait a year, but due to the type of work required to place a patio cover on pavers, that would have been a major headache. Glad we did our research, on that issue. The only thing left, is to have our pavers sealed...something that we plan on having completed, once we have some warmer weather. Lee was also quick to send out a couple guys to move a drain and recut pavers related to the move, for the patio cover project completion, when I gave him a call. If i had to be knit picky, my only complaint, is that Lee sometimes takes a day to return calls, while in the planning and kick off process, however, with that said, I would hire him again, with no reservations. read more

I first used LR Landscaping & Pavers to replace my entire front porch and walkways with pavers. I'm very pleased with all aspects of the work and service provided by LR. Their price is competitive and the workmanship is top notch. They removed all of the concrete with any damage to the surrounding area (house, shrubs). Then the ground prep and installation of the pavers which included adding steps to the front walk and new curved areas in the walkways. I'm delighted with the quality and professionalism delivered by LR. Fast forward from 2021 when the initial work was done to today (June 2022). I had a problem with my main water line leaking which necessitated removal of a small portion of the new pavers. I contacted LR and they provided a very reasonable estimate to do the repairs. The work was completed this week and took only about an hour of so. The repaired portion of the pavers looks as good as it was when originally installed. Brilliant colors and long lasting stones. Labor is only a week long and you can park your car a day or two after. You work directly with the owner of the company and he gives some great advise. Moreover, he is so kind, patient, fair, and does his best to work with your schedule. In comparison to others, they will sell you a price but they don´t tell you that they hire "Subcontractors" to do the job. We have seen those driveways and noticed many flaws in them. We´ve had companies send us to certain homes that they say they have done, but when we have spoken with the home owners, they say that it was Lee who has done the job. So buyers beware! I wrote LR Landscaping (Lee Reveles) a glowing review several months ago after he installed about 800 sq. ft. of pavers in my back yard. Since then, however, there have been two issues that have caused me to write this additional review and downgrade Lee's rating. Issue #1 A few days after Lee and his crew completed the job, the corner of one of the steps that they had built fell off. I called Lee and told him and he said that he would fix it. Months went by and Lee never showed up. I left messages on his voice mail, but he never came by to fix the step and never returned my calls. I finally just did it myself. Issue #2 When Lee and his crew were installing my pavers, I discussed with him the fact that I would eventually be putting in a patio cover and would need to have a couple pavers pulled up to pour footings under the patio cover's support posts. Lee said that they would be able to do that when the time came and the exact location of the footings was known. Once I had contracted with a patio cover firm I emailed Lee and told him I was ready to have the pavers lifted so the footings could be poured. Weeks later, Lee called and apologized about not fixing the step (Issue #1) and we discussed lifting the pavers. Lee said he would do it, but never showed up and never returned any of several calls. So in summary, Lee does good work, but once he has his money don't expect anything from him. It's really disappointing because the whole experience could have been much more positive if Lee had followed through and done what he said he was going to do. He may return calls pertaining to upcoming new contracts, but once the job is done and he has his money don't expect him to return calls if there are any issues. read more

Good work - terrible follow up I rarely write reviews, but want to be sure others are aware of the changes in Lee's business and response. If you notice he had glowing reviews from 2013 & 2014, but he seems to have started a couple of new businesses that have him overbooked and neon responsive. My experience was the same as Mike A on 4/14 - Lee did a very good job in installing the patio, but when top for column arrived, we could not reach him to have these installed, which he said he would do when they came in. So yes he does good work for initial install, but don't expect any followup or problem resolution after he leaves the jobsite. There should be no excuse for a contractor to not return calls or take care of remaining issues no matter the details. read more

We were referred to SMC Design and LR landscaping and Pavers by Bill Bailey after we rejected four other contractors. To our astonishment, Stephen Crouse (SMC) listened carefully to all of our design concerns and nailed 100% of them perfectly on the plan. The job was quite large and somewhat complicated due to our desire to maintain the original mid-century design elements which existed on our 1955 ranch house. Lee and his crew were very organized and meticulously placed the pavers with red brick borders and Red brick inlay perfectly. We bought a new-to-us house and knew immediately that we wanted to re-landscape the back yard. Among other things, we had to have our rased garden beds, a space for an aviary for our parrots and areas throughout the yard that would also give us fruit and shade. We were in a hurry, for a variety of reasons. We were also living at a distance and weren't able to be on site every day. We broke the 'get bids' rule as well. Using Yelp only, we found LR and Lee, had him come out right away. He recommended a designer (Leah Bray)- who drew exactly what we wanted, developed a planting scheme and was absolutely reasonably priced. Lee understood what we were looking for, Installed all components, supervised the ongoing work, met all timelines and dealt with mud, mud, mud. We love our backyard!! We felt that the entire re-do, while not cheap, was reasonable for what we wanted and what was delivered. I'm hoping to re-landscape the front yard at some point ...we will definitely use Lee and LlR Landscaping! BTW: we had absolutely no problems with return phone calls. I made a decision in the spring of 2013 to remove my paved patio and redwood deck in my backyard, so the search for a good contractor began. At that time I was looking for a nice stamped concrete. I had 2 different "contractors" show up for the estimate, but one after the other they failed to show up for the work. I searched further until this summer, when a very good customer of ours (I'm in retail sales) gave me the reference of gold!. I contacted Lee Reveles, owner of LR Landscaping, and he came to my home at 6pm on a week night to measure, size up the job and discuss details and visions for the 400+ sq ft patio area to be set in Pavers. His quote arrived in my email the next day, In two weeks he promised to show up Monday morning between 8-9 am. At 8:07, he and his crew of 5 were unloading equipment from the truck and the day began!! I was amazed at the pace of the progress, the strength of the workers, and the organization!! The communication between the owner, Lee, and I was constant and clear, regarding all scopes of the job including electrical line placement (He buried the lines exactly where I asked him to but I have an electrician to do the wiring) and sprinkler lines. Long story short, by the end of the second day, the job was complete, as promised in his contract, everything was put back in it's place, and there wasn't so much as a trace of mess left behind, right down to the dust!.
