It's intimate, dimly lit, and full of character. The cocktails are where this place really shines. The Homemade Smoking Jacket is a standout -- smoky, balanced, and thoughtfully crafted. The espresso martini was also excellent: smooth, bold, and not overly sweet. You can tell they take their cocktail program seriously. Why four stars instead of five? It's small and can feel tight when busy, and you may need a little patience depending on the crowd. But honestly, that's part of the charm. If you're looking for a unique, tucked-away spot in Denton with excellent drinks and a cool vibe, this is absolutely worth the climb up the stairs.

I wasn't sure as I was looking for the people I was joining. I walked through the bar area where I made a pit stop to order a drink. The staff were super friendly and there was a nice option for drinks. They even had specialized drinks for the season. Went to the back yard where there were picnic tables set up. It also gives access to the food trucks set up out back. When sitting at a table they have a QR code so you can order drinks and not have to go inside and possibly stand in line and they will bring the drinks to your table. Overall we had a great time and experience. I would definitely come back again!

My son and his girlfriend each had the hot honey chicken sandwich and the Nashville hot chicken. HUGE pieces of chicken, perfectly cooked and again, theme of the night, zero complaints. Overall, this was infinitely better than our last visit. Granted, service was never the issue but food wise, yall were working some magic in that kitchen this time around.

We made reservations. They probably were not needed for the night we were there, but I could see this place filling up quickly on some nights. The restaurant has a cozy retro vibe with MTV videos playing behind the bar and splashes of color throughout. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and the speed of the service was fantastic! Graffiti Pasta specializes in unique, delicious cocktails. There are no beers on tap (just cans), and my husband would have liked to have Peroni on tap even if that were the only choice. I enjoyed two of their cocktail which were both excellent. Our food was delicious and just the right amount of food. We left the restaurant satisfied without feeling like gluttons. Their stuffed mushrooms with filled with a creamy ricotta, the Banksy's Baked Ziti was delicious, and the homemade spaghetti was a special treat. I loved the build your own pasta options, And OMG at their rolls! SO good! Everything was wonderful and truly made for a great dining experience. It might have taken a while for us to find Graffiti Pasta...but we will definitely be back soon!

The atmosphere is colorful, upbeat, and full of personality, making it just as fun as the food itself. The house-made pasta is absolutely worth the hype. You can taste the difference, and every bowl is fresh, flavorful, and the kind of meal that has you planning your next visit before you've finished this one. Great food, great vibes, and all the carbs your heart could ever want. What's not to love?

The salsa has a decent kick to it, but apparently not enough to slow me down because I went through two baskets of chips and two ramekins of salsa. Our server was great. She checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and kept the drinks from sitting empty for long. The atmosphere was probably my favorite part. They have regular tables and chairs, but also couches and comfy chairs, so it's easy to settle in and stay awhile without feeling rushed. Overall, Wild Cactus is a great place for some drinks, good conversation, and a little food along the way. Just don't show up expecting a giant dinner.

It's a shame, because the presentation and service were both great, and I could tell there was real effort behind the menu. I'd probably give it another shot, but I'd definitely ask for it to be made lighter on the salt next time.

If you like a know it all self absorbed mang style, with kids who know nothing, go there. the menu is so limited I personally am so sick of chicken fingers i could really throw up right now. Next these bartenders have a line on the glass to show them how to pour ETOH, but if you like spending $10 on a double Titos and Soda water and can still taste the chlorine from Denton water its alway been that way and tried to over look, give some tips,. These young people know it all...its cold they have all the windows open, everyone is wearing hoodies and coats and they don't get it. Then this smart ass Robert Bartender who was fired once for calling a fellow bartender a CXXXT, is back with little man syndrome. make a suggestion and he is like bevis are you threatening me? You pay premium prices, you have maybe 4 entree choice on the menu and the chili i swear tastes like Wolf out of a can, and that really the truth. A tiny tiny slice of their fabulous pecan pie is like sliver of pie and $6.00 when i tried one slice, never again, i can go to walmart and get better. Needless to say, this place is a tiny Peyton Place of employees sleeping with each other, the manager macking down on any little waitress he can intimidate, but just try to make a suggestion. Your dis counted as they have an excuse and a reason. So after going there since its open, sitting and eating at the bar, Austin decided he wanted credit cards to hold the ticket, i had cash and that for former regular is insulting. If you like watered down drinks, a menu a child could create and a staff that is so nose in the air and above it all because poor Denton has not much else they think they are the SHXX. Well all fall and all go under. this one is already dead in the middle of the day. They have played the same sound track since opening, i know the line up, if i have to hear and watch Meatloaf sweat all over the place and scream one more time i need to jump off the roof. Then you go to Janis, then to Beyonce, then to Usher, its a mixed bag of the same old tape. Now you an go to TGI Fridays and they have a sound system for a chain, this LSA, has the tiny JBL's looked like they were installed by the bartenders just bla, bla, bla in your ear, you cannot understand it or hear it not that after all this time i have it memorized, its very sad when something feels they are so superior they dont need input. They need input, a boot in the butt is what they need and they will get it we are sick of that crap tiney menu and the watered down $10 per drink place, so keep it up LSA your partnership and partners have no clue how ignorant it is. Maybe you should call Bar Rescue to whip the playboy Austin into shape, smart ass Robert the bartender with the mouth on him, but just like what we all know, you all know best. We will never be back...over, out done.......last $30 for three drinks of Denton Tap carbonated water. read more

I've eaten here a few times so I feel this is a fair review. Based on the food alone j would have given it a 3.5-4. However the service is absolutely horrible. I called to place an order for pick up, which reading other reviews here I see is not possible. The girl who answered, Caitlin was absolutely rude and told me that I would have to come in and order. She was so sharp and snide that I asked to speak to a manager. She promptly told me none were available and hung up on me. Caitlin certainly should not be answering phones and really seems to have no business in customer service. A second horrible experience I had, this time in person, was sitting at the bar with a friend of mine one Friday night. We ordered drinks and fries to start. Our drinks were brought out promptly..... but then that's it. We were completely forgotten about. We didn't see our waiter, so after 25 minutes we flagged down another who said he would find him for us. Another 15 minutes passed and still, no waiter and no food. I mean we were sitting at the bar, wait staff were constantly walking by us sitting there with empty drinks and nothing else before us. Eventually we flagged down yet another waiter (maybe he was just the bar tender?). This one did offer to personally run downstairs to grab some fries for us, but at this point we were done. We closed out our tab and left hungry. If LSA is going to succeed they really need to fire staff that are rude and unhelpful like Caitlin. On the flip side, I have had one brilliant waiter there, Ethan. So get rid of all the Caitlins and hire a bunch more Ethans. He was prompt, courteous and really personable. We had a great time with him as our waiter, if that was my only experience there my rating would be much higher He mentioned to my boyfriend and I that he was being promoted to trainer, so hopefully he'll pass on his great server skills. read more

A small note: it did feel a bit over-air-conditioned inside. I'd recommend they turn the AC down a notch for optimal comfort, but it wasn't enough to detract from the fun. The Star: The Food. Let's be clear-- the burgers are the best in Denton, hands down. We tried a couple, and each was a masterpiece. My wife and I were on the square yesterday and decided we were hungry so we poked our heads in to see what this place was. We were greeted right away and taken to our table. The ambience was great but we sat on the 2nd level and it was a little loud, likely because we were closer to the speakers... it was ok though. The server arrived promptly and made a few food and drink suggestions. We ordered the brisket queso whice was really unique and VERY tasty. I was disappointed that chips and queso did not include salsa... we then ordered a couple of burgers which were really good and shared a basket of fries. We both wound up taking a half burger apiece to go (after filling up on the queso). The portions are good sized. A local draft, soft drink, queso appetizer, two burgers and a basket of fries came to $30. We will be back. As a sidenote, as we were walking in I asked what LSA stood for. As the words were coming out of my mouth I jokinging added "Lone Star Attitude"? The Waitress reply "yes, that exactly what it means". You see, there is a song by artist Jon Christopher Davis by the same name. I asked if the name had anything to do with the artist. She told me he was one of the owners. So that's cool...kind of a Toby Keith's "I love this Bar and Grill" thing going on. It's the perfect place for anyone with a LoneStar Attitude! lol read more

Came back this week (Tuesday night) and I need to say this upfront: Ali MADE this visit. I've had good service here before, but this was next level. Kind, welcoming, super knowledgeable without being overwhelming--and just made the whole dinner feel easy. Never rushed us, checked in at the right times, and had that calm, laid-back energy that honestly set the tone for the entire night. Now--food still absolutely holds up: Garlic Parmesan Fries - I was on a full potato kick this week and these delivered. Crispy, loaded with garlic parm, and that house sauce is still my go-to. Highly recommend. Ready Freddie - Bold, sweet, smoky (Dr. Pepper BBQ, bacon, cheddar, griddled onions). A solid, satisfying burger. Psychedelic - Totally different vibe but just as good. Sautéed mushrooms, Swiss, and house mayo--rich, flavorful, and a great option if you want something a little more savory/earthy. LSA is still what it's always been--fun atmosphere, great food, and a busy spot for a reason. It can get loud and crowded, but that's part of the experience at this point. That said, this visit stood out because of the service. Ali turned a normal dinner into one of those nights you actually remember--and that's what keeps people coming back. We'll definitely be back. Best view in Denton--even in the Texas heat! If you want the absolute perfect view of the amazing Denton Courthouse, you have to grab a spot up top at LSA. They definitely live up to that "Lone Star Attitude" name with the music, the energy, and the vibe. We sat on the rooftop, and even though it was a super hot Texas day, they had enough high-powered fans and shade set up to keep us completely comfortable. The menu here is awesome because it easily handles completely different cravings. Brian went for a burger with their spicy "snake venom" sauce and loved it--it has a serious, fantastic kick. I was looking for something lighter and went with the steamed veggie plate, which was fresh and perfectly prepared. Oh, and definitely grab a side of the parm fries--they are an absolute hit. The staff was great across the board--fast, friendly, and keeping the cold drinks coming. Of course I thought this place would be amazing... I do like how the beauty of DENTON comes through at night (only if your up stairs though)... the food is awful, the management is beyond rude! I have seen them yell at their own employees... that's not a manager that is someone they found on the street to fill that role.. If a company is going to invest so much $$ in a building that they are renting then why do you not invest in Professional management... you do get what you Pay for... We should all remember we need to treat others as we want to be treated!! Yes this place is busy its new, I know Denton, this always happens but the more the word gets around new will fade!!! I moved to Denton about 4 months ago and this bar and restaurant has become my favorite place to go to by far. My friends and I came for the atmosophere and the rooftop bar but kept coming back because of the amazing service. All the bartenders and staff are willing to go above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. LSA already has a great cocktail menu but one of the bartenders Mike will make you your own unique cocktail depending on what you're in the mood for that day. The entire bar staff on the rooftop really makes it such a fun place to go to. They are always attentive and making sure you have a drink in your hand at all times. The bartenders at LSA, specifically Heath and Mike, are definitely the best in the area. They really make sure everyone is happy and make the bar area so lively and entertaining. I would highly recommend LSA to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing night filled with great drinks and delicious food. read more

Just tried this place for the first time today and was not disappointed. During busy dinner hour we got seated immediately and service was prompt. I had the Janis (crab cake sandwich) and was surprised to receive such a tasty sandwich! The Parmesan fries were delicious as well. Growing up near Baltimore Md where they have the best Crab cakes ever I would say this was the best crab cake I've found in Texas! The sweet pickled onions were a great addition and made it perfect. Jordan was an excellent server and delivered everything from drinks to main meal timely with a smile. Hubby had the Waylon burger and enjoyed both it and the Chips with a dry seasoning. Can't wait to go back to try the crab cake salad. Atmosphere is cool with Texas musician theme and all the menu items are named after Texas musicians from Janis Joplin to Willie Nelson. read more

Upon entering, a host awaits, offering a choice between the first and upper floors. I ordered the Los Lonely burger, a combination of beef, chipotle mayo, roasted peppers, pepper jack, lettuce, and tomato. I found the burger to be a gastronomic triumph, arguably the best in Denton. I love going to LSA Burger in Denton! The vibes are always on point, and the food is just really, really good. I tried the Psychedelic burger and it was amazing--super flavorful and totally satisfying. It's a little on the pricey side, but honestly, it's worth it for the quality and experience. Our server was awesome, with a great attitude the whole time. I wish I could remember his name because his service really stood out. The rooftop is also an option, which makes the experience even better, especially on a nice day. Visited Denton and decided to get lunch here, food was very good. Some people in our group had trouble picking a burger, since they're all some sort of specialty and there isn't really a plain option. Burger menu is all dedicated to different musicians, and a lot of the restaurant follows the same path. Our server was great, and kept in a good mood even though they weren't too busy. Not going to say 5 stars because the other staff was running around and yelling across our table and not concerned that there were customers there. I'm glad for a fun environment, but it got distracting and annoying after a while. read more

This place is amazing! It's by far my favorite spot in Denton. My friends and I started going here as a way to unwind after class and on the weekends, and we have all completely fallen in love with it. The food is great, the atmosphere is awesome, and the drinks are exceptional. We tend to spend most of our time at the upstairs bar, and the bartenders there (particularly Heath, Mike, and Waldie) are entertaining, personable, and attentive. Absolutely love eating at LSA. The food is always excellent! Today we had the Brisket Queso, Texas Chili, Chicken Tenders, and the Cobb Salad with a Waylon hamburger patty. This has been one of my consistently favorite restaurants whenever I visit my family. I live in California now, but grew up in Dallas & Austin, where my Alma Mater is UT. This place is so fun and a music history lesson to boot. I've been in bands, deejayed on the radio for 25 years, and seen countless live music performances. I'm a pretty picky eater, so the unique ingredient combinations on some of their burgers initially made me a little nervous. My advice? Trust the chef. Unless you have an allergy or a genuine reason to leave something off, order the burger exactly as it's intended. The flavor combinations might sound unusual, but somehow they just work. Every bite is packed with flavor, and the creativity is a huge part of what makes Rodeo Goat so good. One of my favorite things about Rodeo Goat is the Battle Burgers. Every month, two wildly creative burgers go head-to-head, and whichever one sells the most earns the right to stick around and compete again against a new challenger. It's basically burger fight club--and thankfully, nobody talks about burger fight club. I've tried almost everything on the menu, but 99.9% of the time, I find myself ordering one of the Battle Burgers. It keeps things fresh, interesting, and gives me an excuse to try something I probably wouldn't normally order. If you're in the area and looking for an incredible burger, Rodeo Goat should absolutely be your next stop. Come hungry, trust the chef, and prepare to have your definition of a burger expanded.

The biggest thing that pulled me here was the gluten intolerant menu. It made the ordering process so much easier and I didn't have to ask a thousand questions like I normally do when I eat out. Nothing is horrible or tastes bad but nothing is exceptional either. My first time there, I ordered The Big Salad, the name is quite misleading it was anything but big. There was surprisingly few of the ingredients that were supposed to be in the salad. It was supposed to have mushrooms, avocados, sunflower seeds, tomato, carrots, , diced beets and red onions with chicken. There were exactly three small strips of chicken that were unremarkable and certainly not a full portion of chicken. I certainly expected to get a serving of chicken for the cost of the salad. I got exactly two mushroom slices and the same minimal amount of each ingredient. I expected a bountiful salad, but got nothing more than a disappointing salad with a lack of the promised vegetables. Vegetables are inexpensive so I can't imagine why this restaurant is so parsimonious in putting some on their big salad. They do have an excellent happy hour with drinks really inexpensive. Also, they have a deal on appetizers during happy hour with those at $5.00. If you want to save some money, have an appetizer as your entree. One of the ladies in our group got the spinach dip with tortilla chips and bread. It looked yummy and she had some leftover to take home. We had a big group the first time I went. We were seated near a door that went to the patio. Every time someone went in and out a huge gust of air came in. They set up our table in the wrong place. Before we were done with dinner my hair looked like I had been in a hurricane. The wait staff is competent and gets our drinks and food out quickly. That is a plus in my book. So ho-hum bland food with good service. Sometimes you don't get everything you want. I will continue going with my friends and drinking a double gin and tonic to make my meals more enjoyable.

In the past, the Loophole burger was served with a steak knife so it could be cut in half. Ketchup would be served in its own container. This time, the burger and fries were served with two ketchup packets. By the time the burger was half finished, the bottom bun had fallen apart. The fries were soggy and lacked the previous seasoning. On the positive side, the discounted price appeared to be available all day on Sunday. The male bartender was too busy drafting a fantasy team with a regular. Fortunately, I placed both my drink and food order at the same time. After he served my drink, he never checked on me. Another employee served my food. I had to flag the bartender to get my check.

It was perfect--light, smoky, and genuinely healthy without being boring. We loved the atmosphere so much that after a crazy busy workday the very next day, we headed straight back. The smoked wings are top-tier and the queso is exactly what you want at the end of a long day. What really made our visit stand out was a delightful conversation with one of the co-owners, Michael. He told us all about how they source their unique draft beers from all over--including an incredible one from Iowa that Brian absolutely loved. The vibe here is just right, and the bar staff and servers are amazing. Whether you want a great dinner or just a solid spot to unwind with a unique brew, this place is a must-visit.
