We went for dinner first. Brian had the lamb tacos and I ordered the mesquite-smoked salmon with steamed broccoli and a sweet potato. It was perfect--light, smoky, and genuinely healthy without being boring. We loved the atmosphere so much that after a crazy busy workday the very next day, we headed straight back. The smoked wings are top-tier and the queso is exactly what you want at the end of a long day. What really made our visit stand out was a delightful conversation with one of the co-owners, Michael. He told us all about how they source their unique draft beers from all over--including an incredible one from Iowa that Brian absolutely loved. Good food that seems fresh and they've got a nice drink menu. Service was kind of slow but it was also busy. It's usually a pretty happening spot which makes slower service to be expected. I will say the food took way too long for it to come out room temp. The beans that came as a side was beyond salty and the portions were a bit on the small side. I'm not a fan of the food. Elm fork, in my personal opinion, is just okay. The food isn't to die for but there's also nothing really wrong with it. It's not overly bland but it also just doesn't stand out. My wife and I visited here for New Year's Day - a friend of hers highly recommended we visit. We were not disappointed. We shared an order of fried pickles and a pick-2 bbq plate of chopped brisket and ribs with street corn and white cheddar Mac. Everything was very good, and we're glad we shared a meal because we could not each have finished a full meal after having the appetizer, and my wife still took a portion of her food home. Our sons didn't come with us so we ordered them food to-go. Her son had the bbq jalapeño sausage with a couple sides and my son wanted chicken fingers. Both meals were great and the chicken fingers plate was huge. We can't wait to return to try out more of the menu. The location is nice and inviting and hopefully we can return with my wife's friend and her husband - great location for a date or meeting up with friends. We walked in prepared to order something we saw on the online menus, but the amazing smell of smoked meats changed our minds quickly. We got the brisket and ribs. They were both sooooo good. I didn't even put bbq sauce on the chopped brisket. It had the best flavor. And the ribs were delicious and fall off the bone tender. We also got a heaping blackberry cobbler and it was fantastic. Rating would maybe be higher if whoever order their food quantities wasn't an idiot. Twice now I have gotten here and ordered the smoked prime rib and twice they have been out. It's not super late so I assume they are just incompetent. It's really not even that busy. Otherwise the food was pretty decent but not remarkable, service was just ok. A friend recommended this place, and it was absolutely perfect. He raved about the food and boy was he correct! They have so many wine, spirits and beers on tap for you to choose from. I went with the jalapeño cheddar sausage, which comes with two sides. I chose the white cheddar mac & cheese, and the coleslaw. When I tell you every single item was delicious I truly mean it. The sausage was so cheesy and flavorful. The mac & cheese was so creamy, and the coleslaw was great as well. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and we sat right away. It wasn't busy. The staff was really nice and I appreciated that after a long work day. The restaurant was a packed house on Friday and my party of 4 were able to get a table within 15 minutes. I love the food here! I would highly recommend the appetizer nachos, the brisket sliders, and the steaks. The steaks will meat in your mouth. I am thankful for the portion sizes and also the drink variety. Stopped by on our drive back to Carrolllton. Avery our waitress was nice & helpful. We started with the Prickly Pear Margarita, added the spicy as advertised on the menu. It was very refreshing however, not spicy at all. We also ordered the app - banditos and they sound way better than what they were. Cheese wasn't melted and the bacon wasn't as crispy as it looked. Definitely wouldn't order again. The bed of onion strings and pickles they were served on were delish! The onion crisps were thick and crunchy and there was a surprise jalapeño that was the happiest accident of the meal. Would definitely order the fried jalapeños if there is a next time. We shared the grilled spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries. The fries came out like warm and the "spicy" was a poured over liquid on the grilled chicken which just dripped off. Would not recommend. In addition I ordered a side of honey mustard which was just weird. It looked like it was oil based and wasn't very good. The menu did overall look very good. We were looking for a place with good food and a bar to watch a sports event, and Elm Fork was perfect! They have lots of big TVs in the bar area, and plenty of beers on tap. The service was very good, and our waitress was quick with the drinks and food. We tried the fish tacos, Wagyu ribeye, and the banana pudding ice cream dessert. Everything was delicious! While we were staying with my wife's dad, he took us out to dinner at Elm Fork Taphouse and Kitchen as he thought we might enjoy their beer selection and the food. Boy, was he right! We started with a couple of beers, Vodoo Ranger Juicy IPA's and Downunderstruck IPA's as we perused the menu. I needed a burger and went with the Rattler; 1 4 oz patty, chopped brisket, pepperjack cheese, bottlecaps, pickles and BBQ sauce. This was one delicious, juicy burger and couldn't be happier with my choice. The fries were crisp and hot as well. My father-in-law wanted the Wild Hog; slow smoked pulled pork piled high on a jalapeno cheddar bun, topped with jalapeno cabbage slaw, fried onion strings, house bbq sauce and pickles. My wife chose the Smoked Brisket Tacos; three corn tortillas, grilled onions and jalapeno cream sauce. My wife said that they were full of flavor and really enjoyed them. Overall, pretty good service, great food and beer selection and a nice atmosphere. Next time we visit my father-in law I look forward to stopping back into Elm Fork to try some other things on the menu. read more

It's such a great place to hang out. Sadly the FOOD has been horrible the last couple times we've been. 7/12/25 I ordered 1/2 lb brisket and it was 90% FAT! I really wish I would have sent it back but I picked through and ate a FEW pieces of actual meat. I had the worst stomach ache after .. DON'T order the brisket. Returned to Elm Fork this evening. I sat at the bar. It was sticky. I ordered a drink. The server was very professional and the service was quick. I was then seated in a booth near the front of the restaurant. My server (Chris) was very professional, timely, and knowledgeable about items on the menu. We ordered salmon w/mashed potatoes and green beans and fried catfish w/coleslaw and fried okra. All the side dishes were good. The salmon was overcooked and tough. The catfish was perfectly prepared. Overall, it was a positive experience and I will likely return to try other items on their menu. One thing of note, I have substantial hearing loss and the ceiling tends to echo the frequencies I hear, which made conversations difficult. I recognize that is a ME problem and will likely have very little impact on folks with full frequency-range hearing. Recommendation would be to place a few sound dampening tiles in the overhead. Just a thought. If you're looking for a new spot to eat, it's worth a try! read more
