Our waitress was sweet. The food menu was limited. Happy hour was from 4-6 Monday through Saturday. The margarita flight was great. The Birra tacos were different. They did not have iced tea available nor did they have guacamole. The salsa was warm and had a nice heat to it. Parking can be difficult. Seating is mixture of high top and regular tables with hard and soft seating options available.

I would say- come here for the vibes, drinks, and chips. If they didn't have food and it was purely a bar honestly I'd give it a 5/5. But I would give it a 3.75/5 if that was a thing since they are labeled as a restaurant I have to be honest and say I was not a fan of the food. The portions are affordable for sure, but super small. You would need 2-3 tacos to get full. Also, the menu is super limited so if you don't like the flavors of what you order you're kind of stuck. The chips like I said amazing out of this world- but the salsa as not my fave- and I ordered elote which I didn't finish because I didn't like it. On the up side, the interior is so gosh darn beautiful. I mean cmon- the lighting, furniture, tile work- to the T was perfect. I have a feeling it used to be a hair salon previously or they got some inspiration from that because it's super unique- like a boutique salon setup- open, and semi walled. You'll see when you walk in. Also, my drink was so delicious- especially with added simple syrup. It was floral and sweet just how I like it and beautifully garnished as well. Our waiter was super sweet, prompt and never forgot anything. You could tell he took his job seriously. So even though I wouldn't come back for the food per se due to the food experience I'd come back for drinks and to hang with girlfriends if they really wanted to come.

Went in for happy hour- changed the menu so no food on happy hour, no flights and $7-$8 margaritas aren't really happy hour. All good... Ordered queso and the server said the manager is at a catering event so they had no queso.... Said should be there shortly so we waited. After 20 minutes, we ordered guacamole to hold us over (which they graciously took care of)... and continued waiting. After an hour, the server said the manager returned but there is no queso. Fine... we ordered another round and to go order for food. The Menu items I ordered they did not have... so she told us what they did have. At home- I realized the portion sent home and was surprised at the portion of sides for a $17 meal- the rice and beans were in ramekin containers. You decide for yourself with the pic below.

This is a great place to hang with friends over happy hour, first date, anniversary, you name it, it's the place! Drinks are delicious. They have lots to choose from. Even if you're not a tequila fan the drinks are so good you won't even notice. Parking can be pain, but it's close to downtown Denton so it might be a walk. Service is always nice. The menu is limited, but also very good. They've increased the business hours so there's plenty of time to enjoy!

We dropped by for Happy Hour and sat at the bar. Great food and drink specials. Both were delicious! Loved the bohemian decor and indoor/outdoor casual vibe. Will definitely be back. Right off Denton Square on a side street.

We chose this place for a date night dinner on a Saturday. Upon walking in, there was no hostess to greet us and we waited 10 minutes until we approached the nearest staff member we could find. After that we waited another 15 minutes to be sat for a party of 2. It was a tad bit understandable given how busy it was. The ambiance was great, the lighting was low and moody which was perfect for a romantic date night. Once we got sat it took the server another 10 minutes to take our order, but we will say the chips and homemade salsa were delicious. We ordered the following: - Taco Flight with pulled pork, birria with the consome and vegeterian pastor. Unfortunately, they were completely out of chicken so that was not an option. This was a bummer considering this is a basic protein that most if not all restaurants carry. Other than that setback, all the other proteins were great! - Street Style Elote, honestly, nothing to rave about. It seemed to be out of a can. - Quesadilla with brisket and it was delicious! We love a good quesadilla and this did not disappoint especially with the chihuaha cheese it's made with. - Spicy pineapple margarita which was tasty and the mocktail lavender sour, also tasty! We did try to order dessert, but again, they were completely all out. Overall, the food made up for their lack of service and preparation on a Saturday night. Our server was friendly and we only saw her serving so she was busy. That would be on management to schedule more servers. We will most likely come back another time and hopefully they'll have chicken and desserts!

Dylan C forgot my beer, and then proceeded to charge me for the table guacamole, and queso. This place is horrible.

    What vegan options are available?

    Is there outdoor seating available?

They have a small patio for outdoor seating, but no furniture yet from what I've seen. They do have a giant garage type door that they open when weather is nice that has a spot for 2 in front.

The overall vibe has changed, and not in a good way. There seems to be a clear tension in the space that makes it uncomfortable to be there as a customer. From what I've observed, the current manager creates a very unpleasant environment. She consistently appears angry, tense, and overly controlling, and it visibly affects the staff. The employees often look uncomfortable, uneasy, and as though they are being constantly micromanaged. It's hard not to notice, and it completely changes the energy of the place. As someone who has spent money here and genuinely liked coming in before, it's frustrating to see management have such a negative impact on what used to be a welcoming environment. A business like this depends heavily on atmosphere, and when management makes both employees and customers feel uncomfortable, it reflects directly on the entire experience. I'm honestly surprised this hasn't already driven more employees away, because it is definitely pushing customers away. I hope ownership seriously reevaluates the current management situation before it causes even more damage to the business.

Full disclosure: We are Mexican food snobs. Highly critical of everything from the chips and…read moresalsa to the tortillas and the red and green chiles used (if it's spelled with an "i" on the menu...chili...huge red flag!). First, the atmosphere is very inviting for both a gathering of friends, but also a family could have a great meal there without feeling like you have to yell or compete with a happy hour crowd. The decor is chic and the mural in the rear part of the restaurant is amazing. We generally do not get cocktails often, but with a 1/2 off happy hour, we tried two different ones and both were amazing. One had a chamoy straw and I wish I could tell you what they were called, but I can't remember - just go with what looks like the most complex flavors and you won't be disappointed. We had the empanadas as an appetizer...excellent flaky crust, great filling; the fajitas, another great pick; and the short rib enchiladas with a pipían sauce...think spicier mole and not as chocolate-ly. I used to have pipían as a kid and this is a pretty good representation. If you like spicy, ask for the spicier salsa which is still not killer spicy (I could have used more heat) but the morita chiles speaks to the kitchen's knowledge of Mexican chiles and how to use them. Well done.

The drinks were also good! Now- the food. I hate to say this but it was very white washed mediocre Mexican food. And I had such high hopes because of how beautiful the inside was. The queso fundido was the best thing we got. But everything else was just "meh". Then we got the tres leches for dessert and it wasn't even wet which sealed the deal for me. It's acceptable, but you can go two blocks around the corner and get GOOD Mexican food.
