Denton square has some unique and good eating, and one of those places is LSA Burger. The atmosphere is casual and well - cool! There's a mural on the wall (it's really large) of Texas music icons, and it's a sight to see. And then above the bar is the shape of Texas with musical instruments in it. It's another great piece of art to behold while you eat your lunch. I had the mushroom burger and I really enjoyed it. It was cooked perfectly and their house made mayo really sets the stage for the taste! I also got their garlic and parmesan fries are the star of the show. Soooooo good! And the house made dipping sauce - mmmmm good! Our waiter was great! I met a friend and we were catching up on time instead of looking at the menu, and he was very patient with us. He checked on us several times to make sure we had what we needed. Just a really good experience!

The ambiance at this place is so cool. From the artwork to the pictures. The service was great and let's get down to the food. The food was fresh and good. Hubby ordered the chili Fritos burger and I ordered the mushroom bacon cheeseburger with Parmesan fries. The dipping sauce for the fries was so good I added some to my burger. This place is my favorite and I will be back

Impeccable! Live music, rooftop seating, excellent staff. Try the brisket queso and the parm fries. Every burger so far has been fantastic: fresh ingredients, good balance, huge variety to fit every taste. My favorite is the one with Dr Pepper sauce.

Boom, boom, boom, boom, babababbababoom!!! LSA burger in Denton you get 5 big booms! This place is so iconic. You must check out their upstairs rooftop it was kinda giving Halloween town vibes since I visited in the fall. Y'all don't sleep on the truffle fries. I just got a good ole old fashion cheeseburger and wow just wow!!! I will be back!

Great vibe. Cool views. Amazing outdoor rooftop patio. The burger with the Mac and cheese was delicious. And we went with a flight of margs! Perfect choice. Service was prompt and friendly.

My wife described her veggie burger as cravable - high praise!

MAN what an awesome visit. Burger, service, vibe and ambiance, wait time, menu. Man, cannot wait to go back. Layla was super sweet and super cool and took great care of us. Michelle (GM, I believe) stopped by to visit with us, help take care of us and make sure our 1st visit was awesome - and then took us for a great tour after we finished eating. What awesome people! My burger was perfect, and I'm a burger snob (I rarely eat them, so it'd better be good!), and my wife's veggie burger was much talked about in glowing terms by her. The fries were also awesome - and generous portion. Very glad we shared them, because after my burger, I didn't need even half of that serving. Texas beef, too, with the ranch proudly named on the menu. No imported beef from South American areas where they burned down rainforest to make grazing areas for cattle here! Proud Texas beef, yessir! Check out pics for awesome decor. This place rocks!!

The infamous R-Mad-Delo. A new custom drink complements of our Bartender Scott. Whoa!!!!!!

Created a newest drink at LSA Burger. The R-Mad-Delo. Whoa, gangsta. Absolutely the best service in Denton Texas!

We love LSA, and it's a must stop when we have visitors from out of town. The roof is the best place to sit offering a view of the square and courthouse. Lots of great burger options. We love the brisket queso and Parmesan fries to start. This time we tried the Spirit of a Hero burger and it was amazing! Great service too!

The overall vibe has changed, and not in a good way. There seems to be a clear tension in the space that makes it uncomfortable to be there as a customer. From what I've observed, the current manager creates a very unpleasant environment. She consistently appears angry, tense, and overly controlling, and it visibly affects the staff. The employees often look uncomfortable, uneasy, and as though they are being constantly micromanaged. It's hard not to notice, and it completely changes the energy of the place. As someone who has spent money here and genuinely liked coming in before, it's frustrating to see management have such a negative impact on what used to be a welcoming environment. A business like this depends heavily on atmosphere, and when management makes both employees and customers feel uncomfortable, it reflects directly on the entire experience. I'm honestly surprised this hasn't already driven more employees away, because it is definitely pushing customers away. I hope ownership seriously reevaluates the current management situation before it causes even more damage to the business.

Full disclosure: We are Mexican food snobs. Highly critical of everything from the chips and…read moresalsa to the tortillas and the red and green chiles used (if it's spelled with an "i" on the menu...chili...huge red flag!). First, the atmosphere is very inviting for both a gathering of friends, but also a family could have a great meal there without feeling like you have to yell or compete with a happy hour crowd. The decor is chic and the mural in the rear part of the restaurant is amazing. We generally do not get cocktails often, but with a 1/2 off happy hour, we tried two different ones and both were amazing. One had a chamoy straw and I wish I could tell you what they were called, but I can't remember - just go with what looks like the most complex flavors and you won't be disappointed. We had the empanadas as an appetizer...excellent flaky crust, great filling; the fajitas, another great pick; and the short rib enchiladas with a pipían sauce...think spicier mole and not as chocolate-ly. I used to have pipían as a kid and this is a pretty good representation. If you like spicy, ask for the spicier salsa which is still not killer spicy (I could have used more heat) but the morita chiles speaks to the kitchen's knowledge of Mexican chiles and how to use them. Well done.

The drinks were also good! Now- the food. I hate to say this but it was very white washed mediocre Mexican food. And I had such high hopes because of how beautiful the inside was. The queso fundido was the best thing we got. But everything else was just "meh". Then we got the tres leches for dessert and it wasn't even wet which sealed the deal for me. It's acceptable, but you can go two blocks around the corner and get GOOD Mexican food.

My partner in food wanted to try the King Kong against my better judgment. Looking at the photos, it didn't appear conceivable - to make matters worse, he wanted it to go! It came deconstructed. Four HUMONGOUS beef patties and probably a whole pound of bacon and beautifully melted cheddar. The bun was questionable, mostly because it was nowhere near enough bread for all that meat, but I get it, in a challenge situation, I wouldn't want to load up on bread. The patties were well seasoned and firm. I would have preferred medium, but since I was sharing, well done was fine. Not over done and still juicy. It also came with a container full of steak fries! I admittedly put a hurting in the fries, dipping them in the house ranch mixed with the jalapeño ranch. I wanted the fries to be crispier and the ranch to be thicker, but they were delicious nonetheless!! So how much of it did we finish?? I finished one patty with out bread!! My partner finished one and a half patties with sandwich bread. The bun got designated to my leftover patty. Tomorrow's lunch will be a single patty burger with half a pound of bacon!

The food looked great when it came out -- generous portions and nice presentation -- but the flavor didn't quite live up to the visuals. The burger patties were cooked through but a little dry, and the seasoning was pretty mild. The mushroom and onion topping added some flavor, but the bun felt a bit soggy halfway through. The cheeseburger was fine, but nothing that really stood out. The chili dog had plenty of chili and cheese on top, but the chili itself was a bit bland and heavy. The fries were thick and crunchy at first, but cooled off quickly and lost their crisp. They tasted more like frozen fries than fresh-cut. Service was polite and friendly, though the wait for food felt a little long considering it wasn't busy when we came in. The place has a laid-back, old-school diner vibe, which is nice in theory, but the inside could use a little refresh. It's not bad if you're nearby and craving a burger, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
