Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The guac and salsa were both equally great and the garlic parm fries were incredible. The place is really cool with an old but modern vibe. Service is great. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The one complaint I have is that we dined upstairs and it got hot up there, much hotter than downstairs. I think they should have set the air a little lower so that with all the people it wouldn't get so hot. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back. read more

Our first experience at LSA. Overall we enjoyed the open roof top atmosphere. We sat at the bar (because that's what the cool kids do when their kids aren't with them). Daniel, our server was personable and super friendly. Food took a while but we did go at peak punch hours so no fault. We shared the ready Freddy and it was delicious! I am writing this review from very far from LSA. I am in Boston. My son is about to start college at UNT in scenic Denton, and LSA is one of the bright spots in what is going to be a hard transition for me. The burgers at LSA are creative, well-made, and really interesting. There are specialty burgers and interesting add-ons, but your best guides are probably the servers. In my multiple visits during school selection and then orientation, they have had great ideas about substituting this and that, and have created even more tasty permutations. The vibe is eclectic and a little funky. The beer is varied and cold. The seating is on two levels, and runs from casual tables to an expansive bar, to outdoor hightops. I recommend upstairs outside at night and on days when the Denton sun isn't baking everything to a dusty light grey. Make sure you ask about the copperhead lode. There is no denying that their food is delicious, but I would not recommend going here if you are taking precautions around COVID. In fact, had we not been there for my brother-in-laws birthday, I would have turned around and left. The outside tables were being sat extremely close together, less than 2 feet apart. Some of the staff were wearing little plastic face shields that barely covered their nose - not masks - where any spit, etc., could easily escape. Our waitress continuously pulled down her mask to speak to us - completely unnecessary - making all of us very uncomfortable and negating the entire point oof wearing a mask to begin with. My husband had the Our Buddy, and I had the Stevie. We've definitely had better burgers from McDonalds and Whattaburger, and didn't pay over $40 for a meal there. There was literally no flavor to the meat, and the whole sandwich just looked slapped together. Moments later a customer that came in after us were served the alleged "out of stock" drink. Not only that, it took Athena our whole meal to check on us for drinks or anything. Great spot in downtown Denton. I came here twice during my stay in TX - once for dinner and once just for a snack. I had the mini margarita (strawberry) and it was great - so cool that they offer flights of mini frozen margaritas. I definitely would have gotten one if I'd been with girl friends. For an app I had the brisket queso - came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. We definitely got this again the second time we came. My boyfriend and I both had burgers for entrees, and both really enjoyed ours. This is a great bar with rooftop seating, and a bar on each level. One of my favorite spots in Denton. The second time we came we had chicken fingers, and they were horrible - the breading was nasty and doughy. It tasted horrible. I was expecting crispy like regular tenders. I asked the bartender about it and he said it was made to be that way, on purpose. They were so gross LSA almost lost a whole star over it. So beware of the tenders! Visited some friends in Denton this weekend and I asked them to take me to one of their favorite places and they took me to LSA Burger Co. On the college's main square, LSA Burger Co has a wait for good reason. We sat upstairs outside and got to listen to the live music, which was an amazing acoustic guitarist so we could still hear each other. Our waiter was funny and attentive and made us feel so welcome. To drink, I got the margarita flight. I think they call it the fear of commitment? The blended margarita flavors were fun but I couldn't tell the difference between the 6 flavors. I knew my favorite was mango though! I got the turkey burger which had havarti cheese (my favorite!) and avocado. I also got the jalapeno spread on the side at the suggestion of my waiter. It has a sweet heat so you can layer it on based on how spicy you want it. We also got a large side of fries which are covered in garlic and cheese and have a spicy ranch dipping sauce. The fries were amazing! My friend got the bohemian and the other got the WBF. We all enjoyed our meal and the music! I would come back for the mango margarita and fries! read more
