All I wanted was to have my generator either repaired or replaced. I finally got them to come out (for the second time) and the repair guy didn't have a clue what was wrong or what to do next. But, they charged me $700. No response. No updates. No solutions. Just silence and a $700 bill. I finally convinced them to sell me a new generator and they quote me $6k only to invoice me for $7k. Called it "range pricing." Huh? You mean like shady used car dealers do? One person quotes the price and another person send the invoice. Classic bait and switch. They did not try to "oversell" us a larger unit nor push a bigger capacity propane tank; he listened to our needs and made some great suggestions that made for an easy installation (i.e. move one of our air-conditioning units over about 6" so there would be room to move around the equipment). Tommy came to our see to go over our generator options & let me tell you this dude knows his stuff (we ended up changing our mind completely based on his recommendations & knowledge of products & what would work best for our needs). They finished the job last week (Ruben walking me through the how to & making sure all questions were answered) but I wanted to wait until this week to review b/c DWP was having a scheduled power outage in our area yet again & I didn't want jinx anything. The generator kicked in after 7 seconds just like during the test run & ran from about 9:30am-1:15pm while our power was shut off. After the power came back on it took less than 15min for the generator to cool down. They sent a another company to fill our tanks who left a bill for $250, but a week later we got a bill for over $800! LT was hired to install a transfer switch and Generac generator I purchased. The LT team arrived on time and began the process. The supervisor met with me and explained what was going to be done and the timeline it would take. I left them alone and sure enough about four or five hours later the work was complete. They worked at the electrical panel (which they left spotless) and the side yard where the generator was installed (also left cleaner than the way they found it). It's been doing it's self check once a week as programmed. I haven't had a power outage yet to be sure it's fully functional but I have little doubt it won't work as it's supposed to. I am herein commending this talented team who came to the rescue by answering the resultant questions that came to mind - Maxine, Jesleen, Josh, and Kenny all played a key role in assuring my generator is in the best working order to confront the anticipated as well as the unexpected power outages. Jesleen knew exactly what needed to be done and immediately scheduled for Josh to do a system check on the generator. Josh was here promptly; I appreciated his taking the time to explain the significance of the inner workings of my generator, and as he stated - the ongoing construction in our community is creating more frequent brownouts than might otherwise be expected. He then proceeded in step by step fashion to conduct a thorough examination of my system. The team leader, Kenny was on the phone virtually the entire time guiding him methodically as to the precise procedure to follow. As a new employee, Josh couldn't have had a more patient and detailed minded trainer than Kenny. That Kenny, recovering from surgery, was willing to patiently remain on the phone with Josh to ensure all was appropriately tested and operative was exceptionally noteworthy and a testament to his commitment. As the instances of losing power due to the aforementioned brownouts and having it restored in only half of the house are becoming more commonplace, Kenny will be coming out here to recalibrate the generator to allow for these periodic irregularities. We had a rather unusual but in the end a very good experience with LT Generators installing a 22KW generator at our home. I had quotes from 3 companies and LT was very competitive in their bid. I selected LT based on their reviews and the fact that they were much bigger than their competitors, which in th end turned out to be the right decision. Upon completion of the installation the generator engine self-destroyed. The installers said this is the first time that has happened to them in 20 years. LT was quick to resolve the problem. 3 days later, LT came to remove the destroyed generator and replaced it. The installation went very well and all is working as it should. From our initial contact with Marcello to the installers Rolando and Nick and their supervisor Bill all did a great job, especially given the unusual event that occurred and thanks to Tanya for getting us on the schedule 3 days later.
