BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT USE LUA & SONS SERVICE Several years ago we hired the Lua & Sons to fix our Viking stove top. He was on time and fixed the problem. We contacted Lua & Sons again to fix our washer. The son, Oscar, showed up. He took a look at our washer and said he needed to order parts, but would only take cash or check for parts - they totaled approx. $196. After several missed appointments, he finally showed up to install the parts. He then charged us $98 for a trip charge. However, the washer still did not work. We contacted him through text, email, and called the main number. He made 4 appointments and promises to fix the washer and never showed up. Now we are out approx. $300 and washer is still not fixed. It's a shame the son is ruining the reputation of a successful business. All we want is a $300 refund; which I'm sure we will never see. read more

Dealt with Senior Lua and had no problems. Then he retired and his son took over. Hired him back in April to fox my grandmothers freezer. After months if BS from Junior, the freezer never got fixed and this is after I paid him over 400.00 for the part needed. Now all I want is my money back. I keep texting him, hr reads the message and flat out ignores it...I can tell he reads them. I've called the main number and had to leave messages demanding my money back. Unfortunately my grandmother passed away and her freezer never for fixed and I still haven't recieved my money back. You have my number, I highly suggest you reach out before I have to take drastic measures to clear my grandmothers estate. Unimpressed! Bad business ethics! Fraudulent! Oscar Lua was a contractor assigned to fix my washer. He had no problems charging me $270 on top of service fee for Whirlpool. Took 4 days for part and was defective. I paid in full expecting honest work and washing machine repair. All that we got was excuse after excuse and machine never repaired! After several complains to the service company he still gave excuses and stated he would fully refund the service order. One month and half later machine never fixed, no refund and he does not answer any of my calls or text! Bad business ethics! Oscar Lua is a scam artist. He "ordered" a dishwasher part for me and charged me $450. He had already received the $95 diagnostic fee from the scheduling agency (who took my credit card). He Refused to take credit card. Once he had the money he stopped responding to me. He is a thief. His father should be extremely disappointed in him. read more

Old Republic Home Warranty sent Lua & Sons to my house to fix my oven last autumn, and then again recently to check out my dishwasher. The oven needed a new thermostat, and the dishwasher sounds like there's a helicopter in my kitchen. Oscar was polite on both visits, reassuring me that my appliance issues were under warranty. He's dog approved! There were calls before all three service visits to alert me that the tech was on his way. The oven thermostat was installed a week after the initial visit, because we had to wait for the part to arrive. The dishwasher will probably be replaced, because the manufacturer no longer makes the needed part. read more

Just recently My 8 yr old Washing Machine started knocking VERY bad. I sent in a service request through my Home Warrenty (Choice) and LUA & SONS SERVICES was assigned to me that evening. The next morning I contacted LUA & SONS SERVICES and they advised me that they received the Service Request through Choice and that a Service Tech would be sent out the following morning as their Schedule was full. The following morning I was contacted by LUA & SONS SERVICES and a Tech was at my house 30 minutes later. They asserted the washer and advised me that it would be less expensive to replace the washer then it would be to repair the washer as the parts alone would cost more then a new washer. LUA & SONS SERVICES sent their findings to Choice Warranty and a Week later I have a New Washer and Dryer Set. Very friendly consumer service both from the office and the technicians read more

Same day repair for garbage disposal and dishwasher repair. Lua and his son were very professional, called when they were on their way and even showed me some tricks to keep my garbage disposal running smoothly and cleaned under my dishwasher while they were under there. I especially like that they explained to me what happened, showed me what they did and then gave me tips to prevent it from happening again, unlike some businesses that come in and then say they are done but don't share knowledge. Lua's prices are also very reasonable. I had called around to four other businesses before and Lua had the best estimates.
