Massages are a very personal type of a treatment I prefer massage massages for relaxation, and I feel that they just jumped right in without easing you into the massage and started very fast and very hard. I know they will get up and walk on your back if you ask them to or want them to, but I just found it was not relaxing and the lady was moving her hands way too fast and too hard to be enjoying. I'm not sure why this has so many good reviews. I assume a lot of people like fast moving hands on their massages. I did ask her to slow down which she did, but it still was just uncomfortable. I don't feel that she massaged my muscles in a way that I typically would get them done. I also feel that she used way too much massage oil on me. It felt very slippery and it actually made noises. Another aspect that I find appealing is that all the massage materials, oils and hot towels, were already in the room so there was no interruptions to get more stuff. The staff is very welcoming and professional, and completely dedicated to providing an enjoyable and relaxing session. After my session, I was informed that they really want to keep to an appointment only schedule, so calling is going to be your best option especially if the MTs are busy with other customers. It really seems like their primary concern is the customer currently being served, and I absolutely respect that. There is no doubt that I will be visiting Soul Spa again.

I had a hard time making an appointment on the website so I called to make an appointment. I was able to make an appointment over the phone and put my gift card on file. The next morning at 9 am, I walked in and was greeted warmly by the front desk. I filled out some paperwork and waited a few minutes before Karla walked out to take me back to the room. She was soft spoken and gentle, and she asked me a few questions before having me undress and get on the table under a warm blanket with a pillow under my feet. She had a medium to hard pressure during the massage, and she didn't talk much, which I liked, so that I was able to relax. I had a few knots in my shoulders and lower back, and she took the time to work them out. I had the option of aromatherapy for free and chose peppermint. At the end of the massage I felt relaxed and pampered. She had a glass of water waiting outside the room for me after I dressed along with her card to make a future appointment.
