We never felt rushed. She had excellent suggestions for appetizers and wine and our main courses. The other staff there had water and bread on our table as soon as we sat down and kept it coming all the time we were there. For appetizers, we had calamari, the antipasti misto and bruschetta for appetizers. For dinner some had the special (a t-bone). I had the lobster ravioli which was excellent. I really wanted to love this spot. The vibe is incredibly cozy and intimate, and the service was top-notch--prompt, attentive, and very welcoming. We started with the Pappardelle Al Ragu Di Cinghiale, which was quite tasty, though the pasta felt a smidge on the drier side. Unfortunately, the Osso Buco ($75) missed the mark immensely. The veal was overdone and notably fatty, and the saffron risotto was very dry; it desperately needed a sauce to pull the components together. At that price point, I expected a much more refined execution. It's a lovely place to sit and the staff are wonderful, but the main courses didn't live up to the premium cost. Edit: I'm surprised by this response. I took the time to highlight what your team does well--the service and the atmosphere were truly lovely. My feedback on the Osso Buco was meant to be constructive, especially given the high price point. It's disappointing that instead of addressing a kitchen consistency issue, the suggestion is simply to eat elsewhere. I'll certainly take that advice. read more

Tonight we tried a restaurant we had never been to before, and it's definitely a vibe. The ambiance is beautiful and romantic, with a piano area by the bar that really sets the mood. The staff was extremely attentive and kind we had the pleasure of being helped by Eric, who was amazing! He explained everything, answered all of our questions, and even shared his favorite dishes. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, and it was both flavorful and filling. They also have a spicy in-house oil that I had to try perfect if you're looking for just a hint of heat. My fiancé ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara. He said it was rich in flavor, though a little too eggy for his personal taste. Im really sad I didnt like this place. However this could be just a personal preference, so please keep this review in mind. I thought it was way too expensive. $18 for 4 crostinis with bruschetta on it. And the bread they give you was really stale. Our first time dining at Luca and it will not be our last. This restaurant hits all of the check marks for ambience, food, and service. We tried to reserve a table, however they only do reservations for parties or 6 or more. We took a chance and were able to secure bar top seating. The space is cozy, elegant, and romantic. They have a decent selection of Italian wines and cocktails. Their menu features dishes from various Italian regions. We ordered the calamari in zimino to start. This calamari appetizer is sautéed with cherry tomatoes, olives, garlic and capers in a light spicy tomato sauce. Absolutely delicious and can be a meal all by itself. For our entrées, we ordered the spaghetti carbonara and pappardelle al ragu di cinghiale. The carbonara was rich and had a generous amount of guanciale. The pappardelle was hearty and had tender pieces of wild boar. The entrées are decent size and can be easily shared between 2 people. We decided to cap our dinner experience with a shot of their limoncello. Service was outstanding. Our server frequently checked in and refilled our water glasses. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The line does get long, but it's worth the wait. read more

I really wanted to love this place. Downtown Everett means a lot to me, and I genuinely appreciate the effort being made to revitalize the area. From the outside--and at first glance inside--Luca is charming and inviting. That said, the atmosphere didn't quite land. The music leaned modern and felt out of place for an Italian restaurant, which made it harder to settle into the dining experience. The menu appears thoughtfully designed and suggests a solid foundation of classic dishes. Our server was excellent--attentive, kind, and easily the strongest part of the evening. Her service helped carry the experience when the food fell short of expectations. We ordered the cheese ravioli special and the pappardelle with slow-cooked boar. The boar itself was well prepared and flavorful, and the sauce was decent, but the pasta was slightly overcooked. The ravioli was bland and the cherry tomato sauce was just way too sweet. Overall, the meal didn't deliver the Italian experience the menu promises. I don't say this to tear the place down--there's clear potential here. While this visit missed the mark for me, I'd consider returning in the future to see how things improve. The owners response truly tells you enough about avoiding this place. I won't change my review and I'll leave the 3 stars originally placed. Lmao. What a guy. read more

BEST. MEAL. EVER. We were treated to dinner here last night by family and WOW, we were blown away at this fantastic meal! We started off with the Burrata antipasti. It was absolutely delicious. It was a great appetizer for 4 people to share, especially with the bread we had at the table. Not too long after we finished the Burrata, our entrees came. My husband and step father both got the Pollo Gorgonzola. They LOVED it. I tried some and absolutely agree! The chicken was so tender, the sauce was fantastic, and veggies were great. My mom got the Mediterraneo salad and it was full of flavor! I ordered the Gnocchi al Tartufo and oh my gosh, It was the best gnocchi I've ever had! The gorgonzola and truffle sauce was absolutely divine. I'm hungry just thinking about it! After eating way too much and all being full, we ordered dessert, because there's always room for dessert. We had the Tiramisu and Panna Cotta. Both again, were fantastic like everything else. I genuinely can't say enough good things about Luca. The food, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding. My mom and I had a late night meal, arriving only an hour before close. We were greeted warmly, sat immediately, and all questions we had were answered - I am gluten free and had been recommended to try Luca, so wanted to know what was best. Arriving so late, the gluten free pasta had already been taken out for the night, so we ordered gnocchi (made from potato) and risotto (typically gluten free). Our food was delivered to the table promptly and it was DIVINE! Both my mom and I were silent, completely engaged in our dishes. I have been here countless times and tried every pasta on the menu. This place is hands down the best Italian restaurant I've had in the US. It reminds me so much of the food I had in Florence Italy. The owner grew up in Florence and it shows. This is Italian food, the owner and staff are incredible and so hospitable and the food Is lovely. Ambience was nice, small family Italian eatery lookin... Service excellent, may even border on a bit suffocating if you are the type that doesn't want to be checked on every five minutes. Food can be summed up as stereotypical high school valley girl cheerleader. Very pretty with no substance. All the dishes came out very pretty however the pasta was watery as if there was no sauce. I can see the sauce, not really tasting it.... The steak special sounded nice so I ordered one to be split family style as everyone had a pasta dish. The steak came out gorgeous! A perfectly charred/seared ribeye resting on a bed of 6 different vegetables with some prepared in more ways than one. A feast for the eyes.... Made with no salt. The vegetables on the carving board were the highlights. Tasted great and perfectly cooked. We spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 260 bucks for two adults and two small kids. Expensive and for that price we will continue our search for Italian elsewhere. read more

We had an anniversary dinner here and it was mediocre at best. I was also charged $90 for an Oso Bucco lamb shank that was very chewy and the price was ridiculous but it was a "special " so I had no idea of the cost until the bill arrived. I have to say this is the best steak place around, bar none. All of the servers we have had go above and beyond. I always order the filet mignon with the green peppercorn sauce, and this was the exact dish that a friend of mine suggested I try because it was out of this world. We also can't get enough of the Panna Cotta, and the Tiramisu desserts, they are both so good I don't ever share. We recently had my husbands sister over specifically to try the filet mignon and she is a huge lover of peppercorn sauce...we were so shocked to see the menu had changed. So, we tried the filet with the new cheese sauce, but we were not really fans. I need to say to Luca right now. Please, please always have the option to order the green peppercorn sauce. You don't know, but you are famous on the outside world for this amazing sauce!! I would say offer it as an option for anything, I would put that on seafood, the potato's and on the steaks LOL!! I took my family to Luca tonight to celebrate a family birthday. My daughter really wanted Italian food, and Luca did not disappoint! I was a little nervous bringing my (well behaved) 7 month old baby in, but they were very accommodating, bringing her her own water with an orange slice in it, and a couple of orange slices to eat. She was very pleased. Our server Xiaona, was very thoughtful and suggested a prickly pear cocktail that was fun and a perfect glass of dry crisp white wine. My Chanterelle Risotto was perfectly seasoned, and delicious. My daughter had a hearty Rigatoni Bolognese, and my wife had a lovely Spaghetti Carbonara. Desert was a delicious slice of pistachio cake with a shot of espresso on the side, and a slice of chocolate hazelnut cake. Well done, Luca! This is a beautiful restaurant and deserves your business. Went to Luca for a celebration dinner and found a gem! Delicious, decedent flavorful food. Great Italian beer, amazing wine list and a full bar are also available!
