The Pitt Stop Deli is a small convenience store with a full cold and hot hoagie station serving up all kinds of tasty options. I chatted with Skip, the owner, who mentioned they now accept EBT cards for items like bread, cereal, and milk. Today, I'm heading to the hot side of the grill for a meatball hoagie. Off camera, I asked if the meatballs were homemade, and he explained they come from another establishment--so yes, they're homemade, just not here. This was your classic meatball sub: toasted bun, melted mozzarella, and packed with flavorful, piping-hot meatballs. Even though it's a store, they have a spot where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner if you'd rather eat in than take out. I ordered the Forged Pizza, a Sicilian-style thick crust pizza, and it was excellent. The crust was perfectly baked--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside--with generous toppings and rich flavor. The portion size was more than enough, definitely a great value for how large the pizza was. I also tried the garlic knots, which were fresh, warm, and packed with flavor--great on their own or dipped in marinara. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting the new owner, who was there and incredibly friendly. You can tell the place is under new ownership in the best way--there's clearly a lot of pride and care going into both the food and the service. I'll definitely be coming back!

I am here at Quick Chick in Pittson located in the Walmart parking lot over by the pizza place. Looking through the menu, I am trying their version of a cheesesteak called the beef shawarma. It's on a warm and heated sub bun with halal meat, onions and peppers with cheese. They don't put sauce or any dressing on it unless you ask. I ordered a side of fries also. The meat was nice and tender blending well with the other ingredients, if you are a cheesesteak lover you have to try this, you can also get this with chicken. The fries were served hot and fresh.
