We met the owner, Stefano, and despite the restaurant being at its busiest peak, he couldn't have been more welcoming, kind, and attentive. Speaking Italian with him instantly brought us back to Italy. He embodies the warmth and hospitality we miss so much. The food was authentic, fresh, and clearly made with great attention to detail. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu, and every dish was outstanding. Honestly, it's hard to choose a favorite because everything was so good. Even our kids said they felt like they were back in Italy. They especially loved the pizza. If you're looking for real Italian food, outstanding service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Piciocchi's is a must. We can't wait to come back!

I was visiting from Brooklyn to see my family in the area. My friend, who's a local, told me about…read morea place that makes their own pasta and how they have a great lunch. Ok I'm in, I'm Italian, homemade pasta is right up my alley. We sat down, friendly staff (young and distant), but an extremely strange setting. It was like walking into a Wayfair showroom with a pasta kitchen. The branding was a bit horrid in my opinion, but I work in that industry, so I couldn't get over the esthetic before I even got to the food. The TV "paintings" with random art were the "highlight" truly... I'm being too kind. The wedding table numbers, really were killing me in the worst way. This place was like a mishmash of identities with no real clarity of execution or strategy on how to accomplish what they're trying to be. A crash landing of ideas with no real destination. Now the food and drink! The plates were the size of a small luggage! For starters, the "fresh" bread they offered with a rancid tasting olive oil and the tiniest drop of balsamic vinegar was appalling. The calamari was decent at best... it tasted factory made, the coating was thick and it came with the tiniest portions of sauce. I want my calamari, piping hot, with a really thin coating and a ton of sauce, that's just me. The chicken cutlet was a flavorless flour-dredged slab of meat. Barely pounded out and coated in a thin breading, with no seasoning, and it was crazy big! The Gnocchi four cheese was like eating dough turds in glue. The texture was not good at all, and reminded me of undercooked packaged pasta, and weirdly overcooked all the same time... like the water wasn't boiling and they added the pasta in while it was cold. Gnocchi should be pillowy soft and should literally fall apart in the mouth and the cheese sauce should not be like hair gel stuck to the food. It's Italian food, it's supposed to be herbaceous and well seasoned, this was food for non-Italians, who think they could like Italian food if it was just a little more bland and assimilated... without all the immigrant culture, ya know?! The best portion of the dish was the non-alcoholic drink, which is saying a lot. I genuinely hate to leave a terrible impression, but I really hated this meal, and I'm shocked by the reviews. It would seem a lot of people are here for the big portions and cheap food. Not a quality food experience. Everyone's got their own taste!

We sure didn't but were totally delighted that our $7.99 orders for a white and a red came out in two pitchers! Hell, I pay more than $7.99 for a measly glass back home. My pitcher held four glasses (I found out for purely scientific research). That Sangria added to a very nice dinner experience at Nonno's Pizza and Family Restaurant on Sunday 8/4/24 at around 5:45pm. Oue server Marisol was very friendly and polite and was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered two of their pizza slices ($5.98), a cup of Italian Wedding Soup ($4.99) and an Antipasto Salad ($12.50). All three choices were excellent. The pizzas were New York style with a thinnish crust and a solid sauce to cheese ratio. Very delicious! The soup was loaded with plenty of the traditional mini meatballs and pasta pearls, and a very flavorful broth. The Antipasto was fantastic. It was a very large serving of mixed greens, sliced ham, salami, and provolone, tomatoes, onions, olives and pickled vegetables. My only quibble, and it's more of a suggestion than a quibble, is that a roll or some Italian bread or a breadstick on the side would have been perfect. Anyway, our wine and food feast ran under $41 with tax and before tip. All Hail Sangria Sunday!

We were immediately greeted with warmth and genuine kindness that set the tone for the entire evening. The ambiance alone is stunning--inviting, lively, and full of energy. The staff was truly exceptional. Our waitress, Melissa, went above and beyond in every possible way. She was not only incredibly kind and attentive, but she made us feel completely comfortable and cared for all night long. On top of that, Michelle and Diaz were just as amazing--checking in on us before we even had a chance to ask for anything. The level of teamwork and attentiveness was outstanding. Despite the restaurant being packed, we never waited for a thing. We honestly felt like VIPs--like we were the only table in the room. That kind of service is rare and so appreciated. And the cherry on top? We had the best seat in the house, right next to the piano player, Paul--and wow, can that man play! He absolutely lit up the room, graciously took a request from my dad, and even played Happy Birthday for my mom. It was such a special, unforgettable moment. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Sambuca, Melissa, Michelle, Diaz, and Paul for creating such a magical night. This was an experience we'll never forget, and we cannot wait to come back again!

This restaurant saved my rear end by letting me know, at 530 pm when I called, that it would accommodate my party by 6 pm. What. A. Gem! Every plate seemed to have been thoughtfully put together, with flavor profiles, texture, and temperature just right. Interior ambiance can be quite dark, and those with weaker eyes are encouraged to use a cell phone flashlight to read the menu. The space for our party of 11 felt comfortable and exclusive! We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner and are grateful to the owner along with the team for taking such great care of us. I hope to be back soon.
