Comfy atmosphere. Waitress was very nice, odd, but very nice...they were out of lobster, on lobster night, by 6:00...they didn't have ITALIAN DRESSING! I only got about a tablespoon amount of thousand island. I ordered risotto. It was rather bland. They were generous with the size and amount of shrimp. 6 rather large shrimp. Just paid $14 for the 4 smallest pieces of chicken ever, who use sliced chicken instead of chicken strips for Chicken Calabrese with 4 slices of potatoes and a plate full of onion and peppers. To be fair the owner was not there and once I talk to him he did make it right, the food was good even though it barely had any chicken. So I'm a little confused about this place. It's really cool and hip on the inside, but we had reservations for 6 on a Saturday, and when we got there we were definitely the youngest people in there by about 30 years. There were still coffee mugs on the tables, and little old ladies everywhere. We brought our own wine, yes this place is byob! We got dirty wine glasses and a glass of tap water when the waitress came over. She was super friendly and really fast about bringing out the food. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered chicken marsala and got 2 small pieces of chicken and a whole freaking pound of pasta. My boyfriend got the steak he ordered it medium rare, but it came out super raw in the middle. Food was pretty bland, staff was nice, atmosphere was cool, patrons were old. Needless to say I probably won't be returning unless they update their menu and get a younger crowd in there. read more

The owner of the restaurant what's very impolite and rude after making a mistake with out reservation and taking us back to a table it had not been cleaned after it was used. The service what's slow and took approximately 50 minutes to get our meal after being seated. The restaurants should have been packed on Mother's Day and it was not now I know why. Was there a month ago, took 20 min to bring us our soup and salad, had a baked potato brought mashed told the waitress I ordered a baked potato, she said were out of baked, i said why couldn't you have let me know? She brings fries after 10 min halfway done eating fries were raw in the middles. Waitress never came and asked us how our meal was, never gave us a refill on our coffee we had to ask each time, water glass was dirty. Waitress never said I'm sorry. Chicken Marsala was so salty, was awful. Never asked if we wanted desert just gave us the check, said we wanted desert, brought pie with a hair on it, waitress never said I'm sorry I will get you another piece or something else, nothing, gave us check and charged us for our with pie with hair, did tell woman at register about it never said I'm sorry, pie was removed then. We had coupon for buy one get 1 free, thinking waitress saw coupon and didn't care and gave us terrible service, will never go their again... if you want to be ignored by your waitress then it's a great place, waitress was younger woman with dark hair in a bun and lots of eye makeup . read more

I had a funeral luncheon here for my grandmother this week. They were so sweet and attentive. We had a buffet, it included served salad, rolls, and a buffet of pasta, starch, vegetables, and two meats. The sausage and peppers and pasta were great- the marinara did not taste jarred, if it was i want the brand name! A star off because they placed a lid for the food on the floor and then put it back on the food and by the end of the line (last 3-4 people) there were only dirty-looking plates left. Went on a Friday night, around 730. Place wasn't packed at all, not typical for most restaurants. We were immediately seated by staff. Waitress was great! Very pleasant throughout the service. Complimentary cocktail shrimp given, shrimp were shelled and not deveined; cocktail sauce was great! Soup came with meal-got the New England Clam chowder, which was great! I ordered the chicken parm, of which the chicken parm itself was very delicious and probably one of the best I ever had, but the side of pasta was mediocre at best. The pasta was could to perfection, but not drained well-basically swimming in water, the sauce was beyond very bland and unseasoned. I typically don't care for too much seasoning, but it lack some serious seasoning. Had we not waited forever for our food, I probably would've mentioned it to our waitress. Besides what I ordered, every dish at our four person table was seafood-so I know it shouldn't have taken as long as it did. Will give it another go ahead, but if I am disappointed again, I will not return. Also there's only one bathroom for each sex-with sign on door stating that women's bathroom doesn't lock. We were treated very rudely by the owner on Mother's Day. We've been there many times and never knew the owner was like that. Because of the way she acted we will never return. The food was good and the waitresses friendly but the service was excruciatingly slow. read more

Was there Saturday morning. There was only 1 table other than ours. Staff very friendly and was waited upon quickly. I ordered the double blueberry pancakes without the blueberries on top. What I got was plain pancakes with a handful of blueberries laid between the 2 pancakes. No blueberries in the pancakes whatsoever. Really ????? read more

I heard so many great things about this restaurant, I was very excited that we finally got a chance to try it. Big disappointment for me. We were a large group and the waitress did not deliver our meals together...some people at our table were done before others got their meal. Kitchen issue perhaps. The waitress forgot soups and salads for some in our group. The food was nothing to rave about either. The sauce in my dish was mediocre and no flavor. Meat was burnt on another dish. My friend had a club sandwich and she thought it was good. The soup, once I finally got it, was good. There are so many good places to eat a few blocks away, I would go there instead. read more

I come to Lucca'salmost every Sunday for breakfast and a lot of times during the week. The bus boy spilled a whole glass of tomato juice on the table ,my pants,blouse and shirt.Didn't see our waitress through the whole ordeal. One of the hostesses helped him clean it up. I don't blame him. I know accidents happen.The hostess assured us they would take care of everything and the owner would come to talk to us. She never did and she was right there walking around ,talking to the other patrons. I was very disgusted with this place today. I didn't what I ordered, got half a glass of cranberry juice and charged full price. They didn't even give us a free cup of coffee for our troubles. They said they'd refill the tomato juice at no charge. The busboy spilled the juice because he was giving us spoons and knives which weren't on our table setting when we sat down. He knocked the juice over. I dealt with the owner before. She said she was going to mail me a gift certificate over a funeral luncheon issue which she never did. And yet I still went there. read more
