This Market provides so much value to the town of Lucerne Valley. Not only does it offer an abundance of grocery items, from fresh fruit and vegetables, a butcher for meats, and anything you can think of at a grocery store- but it allows shipping drop off for Amazon and UPS. You can cash checks, get money orders and they also have a Deli cafe that has awesome food! There's a hardware section- there's pet supplies and home goods, fireplaces, air conditioners... you name it! The only downside is the prices are way above most other places- and money goes away in a blink of an eye. But I assume that the prices are the cost of having a market so far from other locations. read more

A very welcomed spot if you find yourself in the Lucerne Valley area where shops are very few and far between. It has pretty much anything you could need, both in terms of groceries and hardware needs. There is also a little section dedicated to gifts / tourist finds / local travel books / etc. Very eclectic overall. The shop has some quirky characteristics and makes for a fun little experience. I love that there's a deli available. I didn't have the chance to try anything from it, but it looked like a lot of folks were there just for that. Appreciated the large free parking lot out front with covered parking, as well as access to a free restroom. Definitely a good spot to hit up if you're in the area. read more

The owners of this place are geniuses. This market is all encompassing and perfect for rural areas. They have a kitchen they have a supermarket. They also have a hardware shop! One stop shop. You can get a toilet, some ammo and a gallon of milk all in 3 aisles. Pretty fun! I like this grocery, hardware, gift shop, liquer store and a hot kitchen place.....it's like a tiny version of KMart in 1972. I love that it's one-stop-shopping. Every time I drive past, I want to come in and see what I can see. Clerks are super kind, food is all there, it also has a restroom that you need a token to operate. It's perfect for Lucerne Valley! Nice market right by the junction of 247 and 18. There is a small butcher selection of seasoned meats in the back on the right and a little cafe/deli before that, immediately to the right of the entrance, where you can snag some delicious fried goodness. There is an extensive selection of frozen options in addition to a standard full selection of fresh produce. Beware some of the staff wears masks and some do not. The clientele is similarly all over the place with masks. I stoped at Lucern Market and Hardware before a camping trip in the area, and the store exceeded my expectations. I'm used to the stores in the Big Bear area, but I hadn't ever tried this store. I stopped to pick up some green propane cans for my trip, and ordered a breakfast burrito. The burrito was exactly what I was craving. I decided to head back to the market on the way back home. This time I ordered an 8 piece of the fried chicken, and another burrito. The fried chicken is some of the best i've had. It came out hot and tasted perfect. The employees helped me find my propane, and everyone was very friendly and polite. While waiting for my food I checked out the frozen selection, and they had some many different options, many I had never seen in my markets. I will be back again, I really enjoyed shopping, and eating here. I can't wait to make my way back soon. Thanks guys! read more

Huge thanks to Lucerne Valley Market. We recently were hospice caring our beloved dog. I was so grateful that they carried everything we needed to make it through this rough time, from puppy pads to baby food. When she passed, they even had on hand the right precut plywood pieces for her burial. This is a great store that always seems to have what you need. read more

For 5 years I've been a huge fan of the LV Market. I buy my groceries and hardware there and I always get something at the deli when I go into town to go shopping. Well that all changed today-I will never go back there. I was in the store, picking up a few things with my service dog, that I have due to veteran connected PTSD. There was only one checkout line open, and the person in front of me, who also had a service dog, was confused, taking a long time and had to go back in the store to pick something up. I asked if they could open a new line - a fair request considering three of the people were just up in the crow nest not doing anything. Contessa responded to me, by pointing at the service counter behind me telling me I could use that and I can't have my service animal in there because he barked. The reason why he barked is the person in front of me crossed by way too close with their service dog, and he let out a little inquisitive bark and was never out of control for one second - he was just doing his job. I asked her to explain to me why he had to leave the store and she said your dog barked and you don't have control. My dog barking and not having control of a dog are two entirely different things. So I called the manager to advise her of what happened and she reviewed the video tape called me back and said yes in fact, she does feel that the employee handled it incorrectly, then tried to quiet me off with a bribe of a gift certificate and asking me not to call the ADA on multiple occasions during the call. Just a shame how one bad employee can ruin such a great experience. I have filed an ADA complaint and I'm considering legal action against them. Not for the reasons above, but because then Contessa came down to me and leaned over my service dog (all verifiable by video and I have requested the ADA to subpoena the footage) . I feel this was done to intimidate me and or to have my dog react aggressively because she knew she was wrong and clearly upset me about the barking comment. Sorry for rambling - this triggered my PTSD/Anxiety and has cause me a great deal of pain and suffering - just for asking to open a new line!!! Go to Yucca - cheaper and better selections read more

I went to the deli to treat my grandson to a burg and fries. it was the worst burger and fries that I have ever had. when I complained about the fries I was given an even worse order. I could have greased my undercarriage of my car and used the fri as traction devices. I have eaten here before and found it was good not great but good. however this time it was really really bad I love everything about this market from the service to the quality of meat they have, but whoever is in charge of the deli needs to look at the personal they have, because it was really nasty read more

The french fries are delicious by themselves, no ketchup needed. Each serving comes in its own little paper bag to keep them separate. The breakfast burritos are delicious; I prefer mine without the delicious gravy because it's heavy altogether, but I would eat the gravy with biscuits and gravy I just haven't tried them yet. Every year since forever my family makes the trek to Lucerne Valley for Thanksgiving to visit my aunt. She literally lives on the first road off of 247, so I've never really seen any other part of the town. My niece was sick on Thanksgiving and we decided pedialyte would help her feel better (it did). I came to the Market and arrived about 1:17 pm on Thanksgiving, unfortunately that was 17 minutes after they had closed. The staff let me in and let me purchase some pedialyte. They didn't have to do this, I sure they wanted to get home and stuff their faces. Thanks Lucerne Valley Market staff for being awesome and helping me to help my niece feel better! read more

Well the only thing i can say is that anyone that has a bad review, must of had a bad day themselves and took it out on a 5 star business that's top rated !!! These workers and management will bend over backwards for just about anybody, nice or hateful,literally !! The foods good and they have just about anything you need in a jam or can get it for you !!! For a business being way out in the nowhere land you cant really complain especially when you need something !!! The prices have gone up, like anywhere else and some things could be a little bit cheaper, but consider the delivery drivers gas, time and wages as well as employees wages as were in a time that things are getting more expensive every day, so you cant blame it on Lucerne Valley Market as they are just not a market they do everything that nobody else does in that area period and have done so for so many years as there is a long history that goes with that place like no other !! I came to the recycling center in the parking lot, everything went great there. Once i finished there I decided to go into the grocery store to buy just a single pack of hamburger buns. I was not allowed in the store though because they told me from 10:00 a.m. until noon only Lucerne Valley residents with a proper ID were allowed in the store. This doesn't seem legal I will never spend another cent here. I don't see how this podunk town can turn away paying customers. It was not busy, it never is. read more
