We tried Luciano's for the 1st time last night, and here are my thoughts... Started with the clams, arancini, and lobster bisque. I thought all 3 were absolutely delicious. My husband only liked the clams. I had the seafood risotto and thought it was good also. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs. He's picky... liked the sauce, but I have to agree with him that the meatballs were not good, hard as a rock, and tasted like they'd been microwaved. I would have thought they'd be made fresh. He was also angry that an Italian restaurant doesn't have garlic bread, I agree. The bread that was served was too tiny and a bit hard, which was a bummer because that clam broth was awesome and needed good bread to dip in it. Caesar salad was a complete joke. Absolutely awful with a tiny amount of flavorless dressing...plus, our waiter forgot to bring it out until I asked about why we didn't get it before our entrees. I also brought home some delicious cannoli's. All in all, I thought it was a pretty good meal, which can be hard to find in Elko. I'll be back, but my husband won't. read more

Went with several ladies from Work 2 ordered chicken Parm another one they're chilmlindas. I ordered their stuft pasta and yes, that is how it is spelled on the menu. The main news stated my item was cream cheese, ham, and spinach mixed together stuffed in a shell with two different sauces however, I felt it was literally pure cream cheese. I never tasted a piece of ham and barely a hint of spinach. everybody else seem to really love their meals so maybe I just had an off night or I got the end of the batch that didn't get mixed enough. My cousin recommended this place. As I checked reviews, I saw that many people also enjoyed it. I visited this restaurant last weekend, and it had a usual pizza restaurant vibe. The service is excellent despite the crowds. a large number of options. They also offered spaghetti in addition to pizza. The ravioli and margarita bread are delicious. Bread was very good. Balsamic vinegar and oil were good too. Don't think it was extra virgin olive oil. My wife had the king salmon with lobster risotto. She said the salmon was excellent but the risotto had no flavor. She liked the fresh spinach. I had the ricotta and spinach ravioli which was under cooked. I love Al Dente but this was undercooked maybe needed another minute or two. I also had to ask for marinara instead of Alfredo. The sauce was ok. It also would have been nice to have some bread to soak up the sauce. I have never ever seen Alfredo sauce on ravioli. They also had vodka sauce on things it shouldn't be on. The menu has too many white sauces and almost no red sauces. It would have been nice to get some bruschetta and antipasta. My family is Italian and I was born and raised in New York so maybe I'm too critical. Service was great. Ambiance was great. It really was the chewy ravioli that ruined it for me. Also the Caesar salad could use real egg and anchovies. Maybe some crutons. This place likes their creamy sauces. They should try thick basil and tomato sauces and garlic and thick not watery marinara! read more

Man this place was amazing! I've had nothing but horrible experiences in Elko, but finally a place turned it around! Samantha was my server and she was an absolute gem. I'm used to Vegas hospitality and was a little tipsy so I was being needy and asking for a bunch of stuff - drinks, food, you name it. She rolled with the punches and made it happen. The steak came out and I swear instead of a 12 Oz they gave me a 16oz and it was amazing. The potatoes were amazing, and the seasoning was as well as the seafood. This place did NOT miss. Taylor the hostess was pretty amazing and friendly towards the end when I was leaving. I'll definitely be coming back to see these two ladies. Shauna was also super friendly and awesome as well! The only thing I'd say is that they need to fix the ceiling in the room to the right of the entrance. It's a little off putting. Other than that, everything was AMAZING! Solid, homey Italian restaurant. They serve bread and Cesar salad with the entrees. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, which was very tasty, but about on par with Olive Garden. The Cesar salad was also very basic. It definitely hit the spot, but isn't going to be a memorable meal. I probably should have tried the chicken parm or something more special. Our waitress was super great- very friendly and professional. Probably the best part of the experience. I also liked their electronic tablet she brought to the table for us to check out instead of a paper check. Very modern and convenient. The restaurant felt a little dated. It wasn't a bad atmosphere, but just not super great either. It sounds to me like this is the best restaurant in town though and I would return if I were coming back through! read more

This is my go to restaurant when I visit Elko every other month. Elko is a small town and there are slim Pickens when it comes to restaurants. This one has a wide variety of food including fresh fish dishes. You can bring the kids here and it's OK, The servers are very good and will make sure that you are happy. I've never eaten in the bar area so can't comment about that. The pasta dishes are very well prepared but a little heavy on the cheese. The specials have also looked interesting. If you're just a steak kind of person, you'll be happy with what they have as well. I've ordered beef twice here and it has been cooked perfectly to my request. The real winners or the pasta dishes with scallops or shrimp. Enjoy! read more

OMG! We stayed in Elko for one night on our way from Moab to California and had a dinner in Luciano's bar. I would say it was best dinner in my life because it was very good quality delicious food. Lobster tomatoes soup melted in the mouth, salmon was very fresh and juicy, ravioli very flavour with wonderful mushrooms souse. Mind haze beer above any expectations with fruit flavour. Great food, excellent service! Our favorites are the Chicken piccata, any dish with ahi or salmon, the steak sandwich, and the tiramisu. They do the simple things well, like the bread, tartar sauce and their pasta w/meatballs. The owners cook and wait on customers, and their other waiters are friendly and competent. read more

Was not good at all. My meal was the the Luciano's Aglio E Olio. Was absolutely disgusting. Food was extremely bland, no good taste to it. Even the salad not good. It barely had dressing. I decided to get a chocolate lava cake to go. Once I got back to my hotel, I started eating it, only to find someone's long hair in it. We've telephoned 4 times in the past week, leaving two voice messages. Calls are not answered, no response to vms. We've eaten here several times in the past 6-7 years, during the Basque Festival or just passing through, & food & service were consistently excellent. Clearly, the quality of service has seriously deteriorated. I don't understand, considering what restaurants suffered through in the pandemic, why owners/ management are not more concerned with keeping customers happy & returning. This was my first time at Luciano's and it was a very quaint, homey restaurant. I ordered the salmon salad and there was plenty of salmon. The only downside was it was a little mushy. The bread before dinner was warm and delicious and the balsamic dressing was wonderful! We had great service as well. Just a side note there is limited parking and the restaurant is apparently always busy! I would definitely go back though; the menu has a ton of food choices! read more

Certainly not me. Hell, I didn't even know Elko existed on the map until last week and even then, I didn't expect much. But Luciano's changed all that. I was given excellent service and an impressively delicious meal (eggplant parmesan, salmon with lobster risotto, creme brule/flan and 2 great cocktails & non-alcoholic beer) for 2... all for around $80, with tip! Luciano's is Elko's best spot for Good Italian food. Service is excellent and portions are generous. The tomato caprese was an outstanding opening for my meal. Fresh with just the right touch of sauce accent. Salad was a simple Romain with an excellent house dressing. The main dish I chose, an Alfredo sauce fettuccine with spinach and huge meatballs was good, although I do need to come back to test the quality challenge of more complex Italian dishes on Luciano's menu. If you are in the mood for quality Italian food, this is the place in Elko. It is on par with leading Italian restaurants in large cities. read more

Luciano's is definitely one of the diamonds in the rough of Elko. I have never had a bad experience here and over the past 6 months or so has become a favorite for my wife and I on our weekly lunch date. The service is top notch. Regardless of how busy the restaurant is the staff makes you feel like you're the only ones there. They are quick, courteous and never overly pushy. The food... out of control. I try to make it a point to try new items on a menu but once I came across the Lobster Ravioli I just can't seem to want to try anything else. This is hands down one of my favorite dishes in Elko. Make sure you do not turn down a second basket of bread when asked, you are going to want to mop up every last bit of sauce on the plate. 11/17/2019- What more can I say... They are hands down the best in Elko. Best food, best price and the service is like you are with your closest friends. They go beyond what you'd expect and as I make my way through their menu I have yet to find anything I wouldn't be excited to have again. read more

My last night in the state of Nevada as a resident... I left Tahoe in the morning and took my time heading here for my first pit stop across the country. Lucky for me, a foodie friend lives in the area and invited me to dinner along with a few other friends, one who eats here nearly every night! What a crew. I chose the lasagna and oh my goodness, was it good. Paired with a simple but crisp salad, the meal was terrific. Just enough meat and sauce and not too salty. Service was excellent. Plentiful parking in the lot beside the restaurant. Expect to pay about $25 pp and up, more if you are going to enjoy some alcohol. read more

We travel to Elko at least once a year for business and I've talked about going here for dinner this entire trip. We were very disappointed overall. Staff was polite and friendly and the place is clean and nice. But service was very slow. They said they were swamped and short staffed. My sons kids pizza came out at least 20 minutes before our meals and the pizza looked like some frozen microwave type. The dough was soggy and undercooked. I ordered the grilled chicken Alfredo and my wife ordered the Asiago ravioli. The chicken in both were over cooked and very tough. The noodles in mine were undercooked and stiff and the Alfredo sauce was so bland there was nothing good about the whole dish. The Asiago ravioli was actually pretty good with a nice sauce. But again the chicken was no good so half the dish wasn't eaten. I debated to myself wether I would say anything if they asked how the meal was. I guess they knew better and didn't even bother asking. We paid, tipped the waitress well as she was pretty good and I don't think it's her fault the food stunk. We had the fried calamari and crab cakes. Excellent. Perfect appetizer to my fresh mix green salad with salmon and asparagus. I meant to eat light, but came away fully stuffed. We are so glad we stopped by and had dinner here. Luckily we arrived ahead of the dinner rush which made the timing of our meals perfect. We appreciated our waitresses attention and her hospitality. Since its been a least 6 months since I've eaten pasta, I was borderline giddy as you can imagine. I ended up ordering the Linguini Bianco which was white wine and cream sauce with shrimp, scallop, and mussels. The sauce was delicious and the noodles were cooked perfectly. My husband ordered his favorite, Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. We had warm bread with balsamic and oil dip as well as a side salad. What we really enjoyed about our Cesar salad was the small chopped tomatoes on top. Not a typical combination for us, but it tasted really good together. Overall, everything was excellent. Luciano's was recommended to me by a friend who grew up in Elko. We chose it over her other suggestions due to the specials showcased on social media. We made a reservation and were seated quickly upon arrival. The outer space near the bar is quite stylish. The back room where we ate was a big open room with lots of tables, and some half banquettes along the wall. We received a middle of the room two top in a truly hustling, bustling space. Our server was very friendly. We ordered a bottle of wine and a cocktail (very good prices). The bread served was phenomenal. We both ordered filet Oscar. What happened next was just bizarre. Drinks finally arrived along with frenzied delivery of a Cesar salad or similar in a tiny and very hot bowl. Entrees arrived before I'd had two forks of salad. Expecting actual filet Oscar, we received huge bowls of mashed potatoes with some hollandaise (maybe?) splashed on one side, a smattering of crab and lobster chunks on the other side, and a piece of meat in the middle. Both dishes were served like that so it must be the way they do it. The meat was definitely not a filet. It tasted ok but was incredibly tough and stringy and definitely a challenge to cut in that big bowl of potatoes. The seafood was fresh and well cooked. My sauce disappeared into the bowels of the bowl so I don't know how it tasted. The portion was massive but I just couldn't manhandle that steak. I picked at what I could salvage from this hot mess. Server never asked how anything was. Never got another cocktail. At least we had the wine! All in, it was $117 plus tip and that's very inexpensive. I just wish I'd known what I was going to get. I would have made another choice. I have to give kudos for the cheerfulness and hustle. It was a turn and burn in that place that night. I wouldn't go again when I pass through next, but if I lived in Elko I might. It seems like a locals place that had an off night, and we clearly didn't have the insider track on what to order. read more

A great find when stuck in the middle of nowhere. Some beautiful bread, and about the best salad dressing I've ever had (chef balsamic brew) - though the salad was basically tea cup size. 'Medallion' steak and risotto was strangely enormous though. The wine prices don't rip you off which is also relaxing. Well packed with locals. They do have very bizarre cheap lighting system that ranges from soft ambient to harsh dental chair, depending where you sit alas. read more
