Now mind you, this has nothing to do with $$ whatsoever, but just a comment on how businesses are run now a days with a lack of logic, decency or customer service. So, quick story - we have accumulated numerous "pizzas cards" that they distributed in the past (collect 12 / get a free pizza; btw, we have so many) etc.. etc... Called in an order, but was told they stopped doing that (which is fine, I get it). Again, not the $$ - its like $20.00. But just the culture of a haphazard way to run a business/organization. (BTW - This person has no idea how long we have been customers :)) And we see it throughout now. I would expect that from a Dominos/ Pizza Hut etc., not from a community establishment. The girl who took my order over the phone seemed a little unsure of herself, so I was admittedly nervous about everything being entered correctly. I even called back later just to have someone confirm the order. Pickup time came the next day and, unfortunately, nothing was ready. The pickup time on the order slip wasn't correct. That said, these guys were awesome. They immediately got to work, cranked out all of the pizzas in record time, and I was probably only delayed about 20 minutes. Given the size of the order, I thought they handled the situation really well. The food definitely didn't disappoint. One person on my team needed a gluten-free pizza, and she said it was one of the better ones she's had--probably in her top 20%. The rest of us made quick work of the regular pies too. The eggplant Parm pizza continues to be one of my favorites, with a nice balance of sauce, cheese, and generous slices of fried eggplant. I also ordered a half tray of tossed salad. The quality was there, but I thought $40 was pushing it a bit. I'm also not a huge fan of the 4% credit card fee. Even with those criticisms, the food remains consistently good, and I appreciated how quickly they recovered after the ordering mix-up. Mistakes happen.
