I think the reviewer who said the onions and peppers were raw was because he ordered a regular slice and had them add it. My family and I have been regular patrons of Valley Pizza for over 10 years. Staff are always friendly and the food is always on point. Today I ordered 2 slices to go on my way home from work. The young man working as the cashier/counter person greeted me as I walked in. He took my order and was attentive, polite and courteous throughout our entire interaction. I was pleasantly surprised, as it has become more and more common when I patronize various shops and stores, that I have been treated as though they are doing me a favor for ringing up and bagging my items. Pay cash! They charge 4% if you use a card (sign below the counter). Pepperoni pizza was good, kinda pricey though at $4.50? Thought he said $2.50 at first... Couldn't tell what the guy said. Got a slice of pizza and a BBQ slider for $9 in cash. Slider was skippable and pretty small, not worth the other $4.50 (unless the slice of pizza was more expensive than that?!). Bagel shop next door was much cheaper! Feels like Manhattan prices but not sure if it was worth it. For the value, I'd go with the bagel shop. read more

I have been a valley pizza customer for many years from the old owners to new as of the past year the food is not as good as it used to be it is either hit or miss the people that take the take out orders seam like they cant get it right or the people in the back are not paying attention to the orders and just pushing it out and don't care and then theres time when the food is off the hook good maybe thats when the owner is cooking i dont know if the owner is reading this pay close attention you dont want to make the Local people mad its to small of a town read more

Ordered a large Greek salad for pickup. Got it on my way home to eat during a game that started at 7. Got home and found there was no dressing. I called and they told me their delivery guy wouldn't be able to come anytime soon so I had to drive back to get my dressing and missed the first ten minutes of the game. These things happen but I would expect some gesture for my time and having to drive back. When I got home with the dressing and opened the salad it was lettuce and some feta cheese and two cucumber slices. No onion, no peppers, no grape leaves (which it usually comes with). Called back and asked for a refund and no one came. Called back and was told to bring back the salad for a refund. At this point, it was 8 pm and I had eaten the salad because I needed dinner. She implied that I was lying about the missing ingredients and when I asked if they were going to do anything she said "we don't do that here." I was trying this place again after one other time where they literally got everything in our order wrong and I had to go back and fix it all and, again, no gesture for the time and energy and driving. I've been ordering from here for several years usually with delivery. The pizza is really good and the Stromboli is also but the chicken roll is bland and the Buffalo chicken roll is just a plain chicken roll with a side of Buffalo sauce. They also won't deliver outside of Valley Cottage or Congers if they're busy so that's hit or miss. read more

I just want to Thank Valley Pizza for their excellent service, even under unusual circumstances. Today on both my end and then on their end, we had quite a mix up... I placed an order at the Valley Cottage location in error, and after figuring the error out, I then contacted the location informing them that I was on my way to still pick up the order. Upon arrival at Valley Pizza, I quickly learned that they had given my order away to someone who could not even verify the right name on the order.... However they quickly provided me with a new order on the house and delivered it to my location. The order was done much quicker than they had estimated, and was cooked to perfection! The young lady who delivered it was also apologetic of the mix up and very sweet! What started out as being a little frustrating turned out to be humbling experience. Sometimes things just happen beyond our control but for Valley Pizza to go out of their way to make it right, meant a lot! My husband and I would like to extend a Huge thank you to you guys! Tiny little place in a sleepy strip mall. Ambiance for eating there is terrible, but the pizza is decent, yet nothing extraordinary. I've been here twice. First time, I got one Sicilian and one Traditional and it was $5.25? Second time I just got one Traditional slice and it was $2.50.....oh, heck no! Really? Can we say Manhattan prices in Rockland county? The Sicilian slice was small, but crazy thick and it had a good flavor. Chewy with a crunchy (but not burnt) crust. Solid. Traditional slice was sized larger and also quite thick. Honestly, too thick and heavy for traditional 'Neapolitan' pizza. The sauce and cheese were tasty, though. Second time, the slice was undercooked and doughy. Many 'specialty' slices are available, for which you probably need an armored car (Brinks, Garda, etc.) to purchase. Their prices would keep me from ever being a regular......however, it's also one of those typical NY-NJ pizzerias where the staff acts like they're doing the world a favor for existing. You know, the kind of place where they just look at you and tilt their head and then you have do all the talking in order to get any food, pay, etc. Yeah, I'm done with that! The buffalo Calamari here is amazing. I love it. You should try it. This place is close to my job and we sometime get pies from here they are really good. But one word of advice for the guy at the counter, you lack of humor leaves a lot to be desired. This guy just looked like he was having some issue maybe, don't know. I mean I know you are not a clown, you don't have to give me a joke with my pies. But at Least smile( not even smile, just don't frown) say hello, good afternoon, don't stand there and make people feel awkward. After a while I was Like "damn I should had called and not waited here". Maybe it was me, cause he was definitely happy to see someone else. Went here for lunch during the week, when I walked in it was busy and the guy behind the counter seem flustered. I placed my order and asked a question and he said something about checking it and moved onto the next person. I waited and noticed a lot of other people who walked in after me we're getting served before me. (I had a very simple order, just a slice) then I asked they guy about my order and he just goes off on me! Telling me he knows how to do his job and gets pretty nasty with me. I was so off put by his attitude that I told him to cancel the order to which he replied. "there is the door". Recently has been my favorite pizza go to because of its consistency, reliability, and no nonsense staff. Good pizza, and great penne a la vodka too. Buffalo wings and garlic knots are our favorite too. I cant get good Pizza in Maryland, so when I come home to New York for different Holidays and Family events this is almost always my first stop, before event family. The Pizza here is great, and so is most everything else on the menu, pasta & subs. My Pop knows, unless I drive into town too late at night, im walking in the door with a Pie. I came here for lunch and ordered the chicken parm hero along with a beef patty. The beef patty was good and not spicy at all (I prefer mine to be on the spicy side). Now, the chicken park hero had good flavor but the consistency of the chicken itself was weird, I really can't explain it. I ate one half of the sandwich and that along with the beef patty filled me up. I decided not to eat the second half of the sandwich because the consistency of the chicken was not sitting well with me but let me just point out and make clear, it tasted fine.
