Because of their self-described high end service I foolishly trusted that any product they sold would be properly serviced and ready for ownership. I purchased an older Cadillac Escalade from them on April 25, 2026. The mileage was 58,000 and the SUV looked well maintained inside and out. I had an appointment on a Saturday to pick it up. As I was driving home to Fallbrook, trying to learn the control system I saw multiple messages flashing on the dash. At home I sorted out they were a tire pressure monitoring system problem and a suspension system problem. I looked everything up in the owners manual - then called my sales rep first of the week. Standard answer - " bring it by". It's an 80 mile round trip and my personal responsibilities don't allow that. I tried asking them to be specific about a plan of action but no success. I proceeded to have the local tire specialists sync up the tire monitoring system, but the suspension problem was very serious. After having it quickly put on a diagnostic system close to home it appeared the front left shock absorber was failing. It had been replaced by Land Rover SD weeks earlier. I pointed this out to them - explained I couldn't be "stopping by" with the mileage involved to do that, could we work something out etc? Maybe at least help defray the cost of proper replacement (they had used after market parts that failed) etc. I was polite, courteous, but my phone calls weren't returned and my detailed email went unanswered. I had the proper replacement with the needed GM parts done near home at a GM dealership. It cost just over $2,000. Who knows what kind of work Land Rover would have done even if I had a way to be making that trip since they totally botched it the first time. Again, my advice, do not trust Land Rover SD to treat you fairly in a pre-owned vehicle purchase. They were perfectly happy sending me home in a vehicle they had serviced that was left with problems that the service dept clearly had to know about since they created them.

The interaction became even more frustrating when we discussed the oil change. He informed me that oil changes are recommended every 10,000 miles, not every 5,000 miles. I explained that I have consistently had my oil changed every 5,000 miles, but his response felt dismissive and condescending. He simply stated that the maintenance reminder comes on every 5,000 miles and implied that service was unnecessary. At that point, I asked whether my vehicle needed anything done during the visit, and he responded "no" before getting up to have the vehicle brought back. My husband and I were left feeling as though we were wasting his time and that our concerns as customers were not valued. After investing in a luxury vehicle, I expected a higher level of customer service and professionalism. Instead, I received an experience that felt dismissive, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this visit reminded me why I had stopped bringing my vehicle here for service in the first place. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this service department based on my experience. Eventually, Michael helped me and assured me they would order the part ASAP. He gave me the price, said they could install it, and I confirmed the cost multiple times to avoid any surprises. I asked if I should pay now or get some kind of confirmation or estimated date, but they gave me nothing. Strange, but since they're the Acura dealership, I trusted them. They offered a free car wash while I waited -- and I regret accepting it. It took over an hour, even after I mentioned I was pressed for time and just needed the car checked. Once it was finally done, I had to keep asking for updates because it felt like they forgot about me. I left with no paperwork, no confirmation, nothing... but still hopeful they'd follow through. A month later, nothing. No call, no update, no part. After three weeks, I called to check in. The person who answered had no idea what I was talking about. It was like the order never existed. He said he would talk to Michael and get back to me. Of course, no one ever did. No call, no email, nothing. This place is unprofessional, disorganized, and clearly not on top of anything.
