I didn't mind, it only made sense. I used the bathroom and sat down and within minutes, i was next. It was very fast, which i liked but worried me a little. I sat in my chair and I specifically asked for cleaning and not thinning them, whatsoever, as i always do anywhere i get my brows done.They offer threading or wax, i went with threading. I did brows, upper lip and sides. She worked very fast; within minutes, i was done. i paid and tipped and went to my car. Still in the parking lot, i look at my brows and notice that one side is thinner than the other. Brows are cousins not sisters, i know, but naturally. You can tell one was threaded thinner, and it looked like a mistake. I used my phone light to look closer and found a white line under my left brow that my right brow didn't have, showing how much of it was threaded off. I also saw hairs still in the middle and under both brows, so i went back in and told her about them. She told me that she didn't use her glasses so she didn't see, which i didn't like because for intricate work like that, you should use ur glasses. No biggie, she cleaned the random hairs. I then told her that she threaded too much on one side. She told me she didn't see it and they looked even to her. I got close to the mirror and used my phone to extend a straight line from one end tip of one brow to the other, and showed her how one is thinner. She told me she could make the other thinner to make them even; which not only confirmed the unevenness but also i didn't appreciate the lack of accountability. I told her i didn't want to do that and instead i'd rather wait for the other to grow out. I was hoping she was quick because she's been doing it for so long, but quick in this case meant rushing and nothing good comes from that. People make mistakes sometimes but i think it's important to take accountability and maybe don't rush. It's not a cheap service and it's important to do it right. I didn't make a big deal of it because with brows and hair, there's not much you can do, the damage has been done. I simply told her about it and showed her and she didn't say anything other than telling me she can make the other side thinner to make it even rather than apologize.

When you have a mask on and no one can see anything else, it makes it extra worth it to me to have fabulous looking lashes and makes me feel better when I look in the mirror. You can wear eyeliner and eyeshadow with them but I rarely feel like I need to. The glue lasts well through showers and cleaning. The lashes generally look full going into a refill. (Refills are much more economical than a full set, so it makes sense to keep up with them and return every 3 weeks). Sarah's cleaning protocols for covid make me feel safe going even now and they make me feel like I also need to be extra careful knowing all that she is doing to keep people well. Bonus: She listens to books while she works so you get something to fall asleep to while you are laying down for an hour. This is a single studio, not one of the franchise lash places that you have to pay double to get them done by someone with experience. It is worth it to go to someone that knows what they are doing! This happened month after month. Finally, last Christmas, on the day of an appointment I couldn't afford to reschedule due to an event, I pushed back against a weather related excuse considering there was no weather event occurring and determined that I had not been told the truth about her not being there that day. After 4 phone calls, back-and-forth, I was granted the appointment that had been on the books for nearly 2 months. During the appointment, I tried to talk to her about the last-minute rescheduling and false excuses that I was given on a pretty regular basis, but it seemed lost on her that operating this way was in any way wrong considering the inconveniences it caused me. She even asked me why I couldn't be more flexible, much to my surprise. I would have thought that the business she works for would have provided some kind of check on this practice. In my mind, if a customer schedules an appointment in advance, that appointment should be honored -- or at the least not shuffled the day of the appointment. In all honesty, a couple of months later, I'm still searching for someone that does as good of a job as she did, but I can't stomach giving more money to a business that casually lies to me every couple of months.

Yet Anika's skill and precision put me at ease. My face is baby smooth. So relaxing; I may have fallen asleep. I also had my first ever lash laminating.
